THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES.....JUNE 2018

7-1-18 Sunday 6:17 AM (Eastern U.S. Time)  - In the Mountains of East TN - Air Mobile "Retreat Cabin" - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

BACK TO THE "CABIN".... & THE LITTLE DONKEY NEEDS HELP

The 12 hour drive to the "Retreat Cabin" went smoothly, though a bit slow due to millions of Americans hitting the road for the 4th of July Holiday.

It was sweet to pull up to the cabin and be reunited with my Cindy and Ari. I missed them!!

While driving, our great mechanic Paul called me and informed me that the "hour has come" to change the rear engine on the Little Donkey.

The engine has reached the TBO (Time Before Overhaul). We knew this was coming, but I was hoping to get a few more flights before we needed to replace it.

BTW, that rear engine has been a GREAT ENGINE.  Extremely reliable and brought Air Mobile all over the Western Hemisphere (Haiti, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Peru and scores of other Islands).

But, the time has come to either replace the engine or Overhaul it.  We're discussing that decision now.

As you who meander down this "road of life" with us know, we rarely ask for money.  Today, I'm asking you to please pray about and consider helping us with this vital engine replacement.

As of the phone call from Paul,  the Little Donkey cannot fly again until the engine is replaced.

We're already into Hurricane Season and it's just a matter of time before we'll need to make a critical flight again.  PLEASE PRAY about helping us.

If you have any questions or would like to help, please e-mail me at:  airmobilejoe@gmail.com

THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!!

NEXT STEP....

Yesterday, had wonderful meetings at NASA - Kennedy Space Center on moving the Air Mobile Rescuer closer to Space!!!

As you can very well imagine, things do not happen quickly  with NASA, and well they should not.

Space is extremely unforgiving and quite complicated.  Thus, things going into Space require a lot of testing.

I love testing the Rescuer, because it is such a remarkable machine.  I say...."Test Baby Test!!"  Our meetings yesterday resulted in moving the Rescuer toward more tests.

Now that the NASA Meetings are behind me, the only thing keeping me from hitting the road for Tennessee is filling the Cafe' Thermos!

Time to leave.  Cindy and Ari, here I come!  Oh, can hardly wait to get back to the "Retreat Cabin"!

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

BACK TO NASA....

Today, I'll be in meetings at NASA at Kennedy Space Center.

We are continuing our quest to test the Air Mobile Rescuer for the possibility of going into Space on-board the International Space Station.

If the remarkable Rescuer passes all the tests, it will provide clean water for our Astronauts.  WOW, what a machine!!

The Rescuer will also be considered for the Mars Mission and Lunar Base.

We're so THANKFUL for this amazing opportunity and PRAY for our Lord's will to be done!

Once these meetings are done, I'll be heading back up to the "Retreat Cabin" in Tennessee to join Cindy and Ari.  Sure have missed them!

BTW, Cindy and Ari have been busy helping with VBS (Vacation Bible School) in TN.  They're having a blast!

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

REGINALD PAUL - REST IN PEACE

It is with a sad heart to inform you that our patient, whom we flew out of Haiti, passed away yesterday afternoon.

Reginald did have successful surgery removing the bullet, but later died from complications.  Again, we are heart broken.

Reginald Paul was a gifted and greatly loved College Professor in Haiti.  He will be missed by many.

I had the privilege to pray with Reginald several times before he was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Fort Lauderdale.  Reginald loved the Lord Jesus!  Please remember to pray for his family.  And, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

GRITS & EGG & SAUSAGE & A PEACOCK GREETING

My grand-kids, Joshua and Lauren were treated to a good old-fashioned country breakfast of grits & eggs & sausage & biscuits.

Love cooking that kind of breakfast, just like my Momma used to make.

And, right outside the door of this sweet little resort in Kissimmee, is a very friendly and beautiful Peacock.

We didn't do anything but swim, eat, watch TV and chill.  A nice way to spend time.

So...what are we going to do today....THE SAME THING.  I love it!!!

I'll be heading back up to Tennessee in a few days to join Cindy and Ari.

For now, will chill for another day or two with my grand-kids and then back to work getting the Little Donkey prepared for our "Next Mission".

Will also be in more meetings with NASA regarding the Air Mobile Rescuer and the International Space Station (ISS).

THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!!!

BACK ON "SCHEDULE"

Following the dramatic "Rescue Flight" to Haiti, it's back on the original schedule....to spend some time with my grand kids in Kissimmee, FL.  Ahhhh!

Joshua and Lauren flew into Orlando from Dallas last night and my son, Steve and I picked them up at the airport.

For the next few days we'll be....just having fun and I'm truly looking forward to that!!

The last time I checked, our "Patient" is stable.  PLEASE continue to PRAY for his recovery (read on down for the "Rescue" story).

I'm always THANKFUL for the quiet, "In-Between Missions" time!!  And, I'm especially THANKFUL to you, who stand so faithfully with us, with your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!!

6-25-18 Monday 7:37 AM (Eastern U.S. Time)  - Titusville, FL - Air Mobile "On the Move" - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

A RESCUE....

Was only a few minutes into my 12 hour road journey back to Florida from Tennessee when the call came through from Stacey of HERO RESCUE.

She quickly explained....another shooting, critical condition, bullet lodged in spine, need to get patient to the U.S. for life-saving surgery.  Could I help?  My answer, Yes!

Another sad and tragic shooting on the streets of Haiti.  The victim, a beloved College Professor.

My problem was....I was 12 hours from Florida.  I knew that after that drive and an early morning departure, I would need a good Pilot with me.  Who did I call?  Dave Walen, great pilot, "Water Mule" and so much more.  Dave, on a moments notice agreed to the flight.

He was in Wilmington, NC.  He borrowed a friends plane (Butch & Bonnie) and flew to Florida as I was driving there.

We all arrived at nearly the same time.  Quick, 4 hour sleep and up early to make the long 10 hour round trip flight.  We prayed and and took off.

I was so glad to have Dave along with me.  His flying allowed me to actually SLEEP!  Praise God for good friends and pilots!!

After the 5.3 hour flight, fighting very strong headwinds, we landed in Port-au-Prince.  Shortly, our patient arrived.

BTW, HERO RESCUE did an AMAZING JOB of taking care of the patient!!!

When we landed, the winds were howling at 25-35 knots.  The HERO Crew did an amazing job of carefully placing the patient in the Little Donkey.

Oh, even though this mission came together extremely rapidly, our own master "Water Mule", Yahn, managed to get a good load on the Little Donkey while I was driving from TN.

Cindy's Dad, Ron Perron, was on the ramp to meet us when we arrived.  We were able to bring in some critical supplies for him, as well as for Barbra in the Village.

The Haitian Authorities were GREAT!  All paper work was processed in incredible speed and within an hour of landing we were headed to Fort Lauderdale, FL with our patient!

We did encounter storms along the way and...again, our Lord gave us a perfect and smooth path between them!

We landed safely at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and immediately the Ambulance arrived and our patient was off to get life-saving care and surgery.  PRAISE GOD!!!!  Dave and I then flew back to our home base.

There, Butch and Bonnie were waiting to fly Dave back to Wilmington in time for his hectic Attorney duties in court this morning.  THANK YOU DAVE & BUTCH AND BONNIE!!

I must tell you, this "Mission" took a lot out of me and I slept like a rock last night!!  As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for  your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!!

6-24-18 Sunday 4:33 AM (Eastern U.S. Time)  - Titusville, FL - Air Mobile "On the Move" - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

LITTLE DID I KNOW.....

I had just bid Cindy and Ari goodbye at the "Retreat Cabin". Was right on schedule to return to Florida by road.

Was only 15 minutes from the Cabin when the message came through... A person  has been shot.  In critical condition.

Needs to be flown back to U.S. for emergency surgery.  Could I help??  Suddenly, the "Mission" became clear.  I agreed to make the flight.

During the 12 hour road trip back to Florida, the many details came together.  I would need a second pilot to make the 11 hour round trip to the "Island" to rescue the shooting victim.  Cannot disclose our destination for Security reasons.

I called upon my good friend, great pilot and "Water Mule", Dave Walen.  He agreed to join me on the "Mission".

Dave literally dropped everything, borrowed a friends airplane and flew from Wilmington, NC to Titusville, FL.  We arrived at nearly the same time last night.

We're up early and heading to the airport.  Will be in the air within the hour.

PLEASE PRAY for good weather and traveling mercy for the shooting victim. THANK YOU for your invaluable PRAYER, LOVE AND SUPPORT!!!

Air Mobile Joe

PS - After we've completed the "Mission" by God's help and grace, I'll share the details.  Stay tuned.

DUTY CALLS....

A series of meetings have been called in Florida and it's time for me to head south.

More developments on the Air Mobile Rescuer and the International Space Station (ISS).  Stay tuned.

Cindy and Ari are deeply involved in a VBS (Vacation Bible School) here in TN and will be staying on for a bit.  I'm going to miss them!!

I hope to return as soon as the meetings are complete.  Oh, I'm going to miss the tranquility and beauty of the "Retreat Cabin", but....my batteries have certainly been recharged!!

So, it's time for me to load up and hit the road for the 11-12 drive back to Florida.

As always,  and I mean this from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

Air Mobile Joe

PS - We've made great progress on the Nature Trail.

We're about 1/3 of the way up to the top of the mountain.  Our trek goes on!!

A LOVELY DAY IN THE "SMOKIES"....

Sometimes, I just can't get over the simple beauty and wonder here at the Retreat Cabin in the Smokies.

Am also enjoying the quiet time away from all the "Politics" and name calling and fault finding.  It's so exhausting.

Just being busy here doing chores and blazing trails keeps me away from the constant barrage of negative news.

Nothing special to report today.  Just enjoying the Lord and His peace.

May you be blessed today.  I truly appreciate your prayer, love and support!!

6-21-18 Thursday 7:33 AM (Eastern U.S. Time)  - In the Mountains of East TN - Air Mobile Retreat Cabin - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

A PATH....

Cindy and I have been cutting a path to the top of the mountain.  In many ways, this is like life....achieving a goal.

Cindy would scout looking for rocks and holes that I might follow on our trusty little lawn tractor.  We can do this at the base of the trail.

The base is cut and we now have a good entrance.  Next, we enter into the woods, it will be much more difficult.  But, the trek goes on and our goal is to reach the top of the mountain.

While here at the Retreat Cabin, we've been getting news from India regarding an EXTREME WATER CRISIS....possibly the worst in history.

Here's more - INDIA FACES "WORST EVER" WATER CRISIS - 600 MILLION AT RISK!!

We have been to India multiple times and know first hand the need for clean water.

We have a good team in India, Sam and his whole family and we already have a number of Air Mobile Rescuers there.  We need to do more!!

So, as Cindy and I blaze the trail to the top of the mountain, we're in prayer about what we can do regarding this crisis.  May our Lord lead us each step of the way!  THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

BLAZING A TRAIL

For the next few days...we'll be blazing a trail to the top of the hill.  It'll be a pretty tough trail.  Gets quite steep near the top.

Here's Cindy with a rock and a stick ready to hit the trail.

Black bear and coyotes roam these woods.  We do have "Bear Spray" and a few other defensive items.

We hear the coyotes coming through nearly every night.  Haven't spotted a black bear in a while.

Our faithful "little" watchdog, Andy, barks throughout the night letting us know "critters are about".

OK, we're having a blast up here in the mountains of East TN.  We're THANKFUL for this time in nature and glorious beauty.  God is GOOD!!

The Adventure continues!  THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

A WORKING VACATION.....

Having the internet & communications in the mountains of East TN allows work to go on and have a great vacation at the same time.

Being at the "Retreat Cabin" affords amazing rest & peace and...the ability to conduct ministry and business.  I LOVE IT!!

It's also a good thing to "rotate" food stock and make sure all of the emergency equipment, i.e. generators / batteries / solar panels, etc. are in working order.

OK, Folks, sometimes I just get overwhelmed by the beauty and tranquility of the "Retreat Cabin" and even feel a bit guilty about enjoying it so much. Don't worry, I'll get over it!!  LOL!

BTW, who said...."You can't have your cake and eat it too"??  I've often wondered about that.

The wonderful truth is, "God is Good" and every good and perfect gift comes down from God.

So, we'll just enjoy this beautiful day and walk closely with our Lord Jesus!!  THANK YOU, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

MAKE HAY....WHILE THE SUN SHINES & HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

My Momma used to tell me that.  In other words, better do it while you can.

Hmmmm, a good word, especially when it comes to getting "Prepared" for whatever might come.

It was time to cut and bale the hay.  Got 30 Bales.  Our neighbor has 300 head of cattle and will enjoy that hay this winter.

BTW, look at those 2 beautiful girls!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all you Dads!!!

Yes, we're enjoying ourselves immensely at the "Retreat Cabin".

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

RETREAT CABIN ARRIVAL....AHHHH!

The 12 hour drive was not bad.  We drove 2 cars up so that...in the event of a disaster or any other such thing, we could split up and deploy.

So glad for vehicles that get 38 mpg.  Total fuel:  18.5 gallons @ $2.55 per gallon = $48.00 X 2 + $96.00 to get here.  So with a little time, and a little money, we can make it to this lovely "Retreat Cabin"!

We'll be busy checking out our emergency systems and adding to our emergency food supply.

It's good to have a place to come in the event of an emergency or disaster and besides....we love this place and enjoy it immensely.  A true WIN-WIN situation!!  God bless and THANK YOU for your truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

SEIZE THE MOMENT....

"In-Between" missions affords wonderful opportunities.

So, Cindy, Ari and I are heading to the mountains of East Tennessee to the "Retreat Cabin".

We're up early, doing the final load and hitting the road in the next hour.  If all goes as scheduled, we'll be at the cabin before dark this evening.  We can hardly wait to be there.

It's also especially timely to make sure that our emergency provisions and systems are in-place and operational.  The cabin is an excellent "Evacuation Location".

With Hurricane Season upon us, it's a good idea to have a safe location prepared.

While up in that area of Tennessee, we'll be able to visit with our dear friend, Stan Brock of "Remote Area Medical" (RAM).

We've had the privilege to work all over the world together with Stan and RAM.

Well, it's time to load and hit the road to PREP!  As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

I DON'T UNDERSTAND....

So, 68 years of hostile and extreme danger between North Korea and the U.S. has made an extraordinary turn toward peace and some say it's a bad thing.  I just don't get it!

I suppose there will always be "Nay-Sayers" no matter what happens.

Just like the old song says....GIVE PEACE A CHANCE!!!

Remember, just a few months ago, we were talking about Nuclear War!!  Let us PRAY for God's will to be done!!!

Meanwhile, I took the Little Donkey out for a Test Flight yesterday.  The Sweet Bird is ready for action.  Praise God!!

I pray you have a blessed day and THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

A QUIET DAY IN FLORIDA....

After our whirlwind trip up to Massachusetts, we're back in Florida...for the moment.  Apart from the usual afternoon thunderstorms, the weather is lovely and it's peaceful and quiet for now.

We're keeping an eye on the Gulf and the Caribbean as there are a couple of storms brewing down there.

These may not develop & we pray they don't.  Here's more - INVEST 91L "BREWING IN THE GULF"

We're working hard to be READY for the "next mission" wherever that might be.

We're THANKFUL for the Summit in Singapore.  We're PRAYING for the leaders to have God's Wisdom on the next steps to be taken toward the DE-NUCLEARIZATION of North Korea.

I may be taking the Little Donkey up for a test flight today.  Paul has been doing routine maintenance on the sweet little bird.

So, on this quiet day in Florida, for which I'm thankful, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!

WOW!!!!!  THE FIRST STEP OF AN AMAZING JOURNEY HAS BEGUN!!!

Last night, the world witnessed HISTORY!!

I was born in the height of the Korean War....that has not  ended until yesterday!

Again, WOW!!!

Oh, there's a lot of rhetoric about this and that, but it can't blot out that picture of President Trump shaking Kim Jong Un's hand.

I must admit, I didn't think this would happen as quickly as it did (or at all!).  The world has lived with the adversarial relationship between the U.S. and North Korea for 68 years and yesterday...a NEW CHAPTER has begun.

We'll see what happens, but it is a time to REJOICE & PRAY!!  As another great President said....TRUST, BUT VERIFY!!

DENUCLEARIZATION is just the beginning.  We PRAY that we continue down that road!!  As I sit here and write this blog today, there are tears in my eyes.  May our Lord's will be done!!!

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!  Air Mobile Joe

LOVE "THE MILL" & FLYING HOME

Had a wonderful time sharing the Word of God at "The Mill Church" yesterday.  These Folks love God and it's always a pleasure to be with them.

BTW, it's called "The Mill" because the church is built in an old, converted mill and is simply beautiful.

Was able to be with my great friend, and "Water Mule" Dennis West who lives in Florida, but "Snow Birds" to MA in the summer.

Dennis has traveled the world with Air Mobile bringing clean water where desperately needed.

So, with joy in my heart, it's time to depart MA and fly home.

Let us remember to pray for President Trump, as he meets with North Korea Kim Jong Un.  May God's will be done!!!!

THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

EARLY FLIGHT & FAMILY TIME

Cindy, Ari and Peter are catching an early flight out of Providence, RI for Orlando.  I'll be staying over an extra day to speak at "The Mill Church" in Millbury, MA, this morning.

So, will be on the road early to get them there in time for their flight.  We're praying for smooth skies!

We had a lovely time yesterday visiting with Cindy's family and our daughter, Juliet and son-in-law, Shaun.

Meanwhile, President Trump is on his way to Singapore for an extremely important Summit with the Leader of North Korea.

This is an amazing opportunity to end years of hostility and hatred.  May the Summit be a great success!!

It's time to hit the road for Providence and drop Cindy, Ari and Peter to the airport.  We pray for safe travels there and back and getting me back in time to preach.

HISTORIC NEW ENGLAND...

Upon landing in Providence, RI, Cindy picked me up and it was off to Concord, MA for a brief, historical tour.

It began at "The Orchard House", the home of Louisa May Alcott, the famous Author of "Little Women".

As I have shared, Ari is a gifted "Writer" and was so inspired by "Little Women".

 This Museum was absolutely incredible!!

And, right around the corner was the "North Bridge" where the first shots of the Revolutionary War took place.

We'll be here for the next few days, taking in the beauty and the history of New England.  So, the Adventure continues on!

THANK YOU, for your prayer, love and support!!!!

When I finally do board the Frontier Flight, I'll be heading up to Massachusetts via Providence, RI (PVD).

Will be joining Cindy, Ari and Peter.  It'll be good to see them.  Am also looking forward to speaking at the "The Mill" church.

LET US "LABOR" TO ENTER THAT REST....

Hebrews 4:11 has always stood out to me.  It takes "labor" to enter into our Lord's Rest.  I need help with this!

The truth is...I feel guilty if I'm not "busy" all the time.

It seems like when things "slow down" a bit, I start looking for something to do.  Hebrews 4:11 urges us to simply "Rest" in the Lord.

Our Lord knows that we need His Rest. It is often, in those times of "Rest", that we can see things more clearly and hear His voice.  Again, I pray for our Lord to help me to enter into His Rest!

Just thought I'd share that with you this morning.  I do have a bit of "free time" today before departing for Massachusetts tomorrow morning.  Will be joining Cindy, Ari and Peter up there.

Will also be speaking at "The Mill Church" in Millbury, MA on Sunday morning.

The "Mill" was founded by Pastor Ernie White, the man that led my Cindy to Jesus when she was 14 years old.  It's always a joy to speak in that Church.

THANK YOU, Pastor Eddy for the invite!

So today, I'll just take it easy and spend a little time smelling the roses and enjoying the Lord in His Rest.

If you struggle with the same issue (feeling guilty if not busy), may I urge you to ask our Lord for help.  He will certainly help guide you into His Rest.

There, I've gone to preaching again, but you know, I'm truly preaching to myself here in this rambling blog.

And, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with me.  So appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Was up early this morning getting Cindy, Peter & Ari to the airport for a flight to Massachusetts.

Cindy's family is from there and it's time for a visit. We'll also be seeing our daughter Juliet and her husband, Shaun.

I'll be joining them on Friday and looking forward to it.

This morning, I'll be speaking to one of my favorite groups, the O.W.L.S. (Older Wiser Loving Saints).  I love these folks!!!

They know how to PRAY and we're so thankful for their love and support!!!

A BIT LATER....

Had a productive meeting yesterday at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) regarding the placement of the Air Mobile Rescuer on-board the International Space Station.

Our Wednesday meeting with the Center Director, Bob Cabana, has been postponed  as we gather more information.  Our quest goes on!

Before leaving the Kennedy Space Center, I took a ride out to the ocean and shot this little video with near the Launch Pad 39A.

Just after that meeting at KSC, a tornado tore through Space Coast Regional Airport (our home field) and damaged a number of aircraft, including several Cessna 337's.

And a dear friend, Malcolm, who is a Missionary to India, lost his Cherokee in that tornado.  Sorry for your loss, Malcolm.

That "sudden" tornado is a grim reminder as to how rapidly things can change, especially related to weather.  It's a good lesson on being prepared.

That is why we're gearing up for this "Hurricane Season" that has already begun.  May we be guided by our Lord this day.

Today, I'll be back on the "Books" studying for the Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI) written Exam.  My quest for the CFI-I MEI (Certified Flight Instructor / Instrument / Multi-Engine) goes on.

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

WILL IT FLY???

Today, I'll be meeting with the NASA Engineers who first recognized that the Air Mobile Rescuer just may be a great benefit on-board the International Space Station (ISS)....and beyond!

Keeping CLEAN WATER flowing to our Astronauts is extremely important!!

We're preparing for our meeting with the NASA Center Director, Astronaut Bob Cabana on Wednesday.  Needless to say, we're very excited about these possibilities!!

Our goal is to continue the testing (that has been quite successful thus far) on the remarkable Rescuer.

We need to see just how the unit will respond to "Zero G" atmosphere.  We're hoping our  meeting with Mr. Cabana will allow us to go the next level of testing.

The wonderful thing is, after the tests that have already been conducted, the Engineers want MORE testing.  I say...."Test Baby Test"!!

Did you see the Volcano that blew in Guatemala? The death toll is rising.  We're keeping a very close eye on this unfolding tragedy.

Meanwhile, we're gearing up for Hurricane Season and whatever other catastrophe's may be coming.  CLEAN WATER is always at the top of theCRITICAL NEEDS LIST!

It's going to be a busy week.  Time to head out.  THANK YOU, as always for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

& HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATH....

Proverbs 3 is one of my all time favorite chapters in the Bible.

Trust in Lord with all your heart, acknowledge Him in all your ways, lean not unto your own understanding and....HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATH!

Oh Folks, I need HIS direction in my life everyday and our Lord promises to help us to find the way every day.  May I lean on Him more and more!

We had a very pleasant visit yesterday from from Victor and his wife, Lorna.  They live in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico right next to the airport.

Our Lord brought Victor and Lorna into our lives when we needed help navigating through the destruction of Hurricane Maria.

Surely, our Lord directed our paths to cross and together, we were able to bring vital help to the suffering.  God is good!!

So often in our lives, when we face overwhelming situations, as we did when we landed in Puerto Rico immediately after Hurricane Maria ravaged that Island, we needed HIS DIRECTION!  That is the time "Lean on HIM".  And...He sent us Victor and Lorna.

And....with the 2018 Hurricane Season ahead, it's good to know that we have friends in Puerto Rico, a great fueling stop and staging platform for future relief work.

May I encourage you to read this wonderful Proverb.  It only takes about 5 minutes to read and you'll be glad you did.

Here is a link to Proverbs 3 in the English Standard Version (one of my favorite translations).  PROVERBS 3 ESV

Today, we're going to our home Church and then to the Hospital to bring the Good News of Jesus.  What a joy and privilege to do so.  And....THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!!!

BACK TO THE "BOOKS"....

It's time to resume my study towards getting my CFII/MEI (Certified Flight Instructor / Instrument / Multi-Engine Ratings).

I lack one more "Written" Test, the Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI).

There's a lot of Psychology in FOI and the answers are very similar. In many cases, one just has to memorize the answer given.  Keep the coffee flowing and rote applying.

At the same time, I'll be doing "air work" and getting comfortable sitting in the right seat.  Most of my 8700+ hours has been in the left seat.

This is a bit of challenge.  But, with good training....I shall overcome.

We enjoyed a lovely day at EPCOT yesterday in celebration of Peter's 21st Birthday.  I'm so glad that Cindy took advantage of being a "Florida Resident" and got us passes "dirt cheap".  Disney / Epcot is a nice place to celebrate!

Yesterday evening, received a call from Victor.  Victor was INVALUABLE in helping us do our relief work in Puerto Rico following Hurricanes Irma & Maria.

Well, he's in town and we'll be having lunch today.  It's good for us to re-connect as Hurricane Season has begun...yesterday.

Victor and his friends make a great "STAGING TEAM" for relief work in the Caribbean.

"Truly, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops"!!

It's time to crack open the "Books" and study the "Fundamentals of Instruction".  THANK YOU for meandering down this path of life with your precious prayer, love and support!!

A QUIET OPENING OF HURRICANE SEASON

Today, officially Hurricane Season opens.  Forecasters are calling for a somewhat average season.  We'll see.

We're "gearing up" because one bad hurricane can do a lot of damage and cause much suffering.

Meanwhile, in the calm before the storm, we're going to Epcot to celebrate Peter's 21st birthday.  Had a lovely dinner last night.

BTW, Cindy made an amazing "Kit Kat" chocolate cake for Peter and yes, it was a delicious as it was beautiful.

THANK YOU, for your precious prayer, love and support!!
