REMEMBERING PEARL HARBOR....
78 YEARS AGO, today, America was attacked by the Japenese at Pearl Harbor, igniting the flames of World War II.
Literally millions died and the world was forever changed. May we not forget the terrible price of war.
May this also be a reminder for us to PRAY FOR OUR LEADERS for them to heed the Word of God and seek to obey Him. AMEN!
This morning, will be flying some more maneuvers and getting ready for that long-awaited (CFI - Certified Flight Instructor) check-ride.
Our main challenge is simply "synchronizing" our schedules. Both my Instructor, Glen Gray and the Examiner are Airline Pilots and my schedule is extremely "fluid".
However....I've so enjoyed the "Basics" of flying during this training. Can't begin to tell you how much I LOVE TO FLY!!
Then...this afternoon, there will be some GREAT FOOTBALL, including my LSU Tigers taking on the Georgia Bulldogs for the Southeastern Conference Championship.
Please bear with me if you're not a football fan. I just love my Tigers!
It's a beautiful day for flying and sometimes, I just get overwhelmed at how good our Lord is to allow me fly!
And, we're getting closer and closer to finalizing the engine change on the Little Donkey. We've got plenty of flying lined up for that sweet little bird. I can hardly wait!!
Time to head to the airport to go FLY!!
THANKS, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A QUIET DAY....
Simply waiting for the Little Donkey to be ready to test fly and taking care of business.
I'm THANKFUL for a peaceful day at home. Our Christmas tree is up and the lights are hung.
Cindy has been baking cookies and our home is sweet.
I love this Season of Celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior.
Oh, I know that our Lord was likely not born on December 25th, but I'm THANKFUL that we recognize that Jesus did come into this world to bring salvation to the lost.
So, on this lovely, quiet day in Florida, I say...THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Sam and I met with Missionary Gene Rumley yesterday at...McDonalds.
Gene will be hosting Sam for a few days.
We've worked closely with Gene in India.
Gene is the Founder & Director of "Mission 4 Orphans", a wonderful organization!
What a pleasure working with a great Brother in the Lord!!
Looks like the final component (propeller governor) will be finished by Friday.
Oh, we're getting so close to TEST FLIGHTS of the Little Donkey. I'M READY!!!
Not sure where you stand, but it's painful to watch the Impeachment developments. A House divided against itself....
Cindy and I simply PRAY for our Lord to have His way with America!!

12-4 = PROVERBS 4
As you may know, I often read the Proverb that matches the date.
Today, being the 4th, I read Proverbs 4. This is one of my favorite Scriptures. GET WISDOM!!
Just navigating through life, brings many decisions.
PRAISE GOD for HIS WISDOM!
Our Lord wants us to have HIS WISDOM & He is willing to give to all liberally. We simply need to ASK for it!
This Scripture reminds us that we need God's Wisdom every day and in all that we do.
I also have another saying that is especially helpful. It is....A.S.A.P. (Always Say A Prayer).
Just going through life, on a normal day, things often come at us quickly.
So, today, may we call upon our Lord and ask Him to guide us through this day.
IF we'll take just a moment and PRAY & ASK FOR WISDOM, before responding....things will go much better.
Believe me when I say this, I NEED this message in my life and in sharing it with you, I'm reminding myself of this powerful message. GET WISDOM!!
BTW, here's a link to Proverbs 4 for your enjoyment & edification - PROVERBS 4 NKJV / ESV
So, as I say every single day, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

A WONDERFUL DAY AT DISNEY....
It was a last minute decision to join Cindy, Ari, Sam & Hena at Disney.
Oh, I had things scheduled, but it just took a call or two to quickly re-arrange things and allow this wonderful day with our dear friends.
It was, of course, Sam and Hena's first time to Disney and they had a blast.
PRAISE GOD that we could share Disney with them.
After a lovely day at Disney, Hena needed to get to Dallas to speak in a church tomorrow, so we dropped her at the airport.
We've worked so closely with Sam and his wonderful family in India bringing the Good News of Jesus and hope to the hopeless and food and clean water to the hungry and thirsty.
After dropping Hena at the airport, we found a nice "Indian Restuarant" and enjoyed a delicious Indian meal with Sam.
Sam is getting used to "Steak & Shake" and Pizza, but he misses Indian food. We hit the target with a great meal.
We'll have Sam with us for a few more days.
So, back to work today and as I say every single day, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Mmmm, not a bad idea.
Cindy, had earlier, planned to take Sam and his sister, Hena (from India) to Disney World as a special treat.
So, today, Cindy, Ari, Sam and Hena (Hannah) and I will be going to Disney World.
Love these last minute changes, especially one that ends up at Disney World.

FRIENDS FROM AFAR & A PERFECT SEASON
Air Mobile has worked closely with Sam and his family for a number of years bringing the Good News of Jesus along with food and clean water to the "Untouchables" in India.
We're blessed to have Sam and Hannah with us!!
We'll be ministering together at the Hospital in Orlando today.
Last night, my LSU Tigers completed the regular season (12-0) with a convincing victory of arch rival Texas A&M (50-7).
Joe "Burreaux" will likely win the Heisman Trophy. What a season. Been following the Tigers all my life and this is probably the BEST TIGER TEAM I've ever seen.
GEAUX TIGERS!!!
Next stop for these incredible Tigers...the Southeast Conference Championship game against a very good Georgia Bulldog team. May the best team win.
Well, it's time to get to Church and then to the Hospital. As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

A "LIFE-LESSON" FROM A GAME OF RUMMY
Cindy and I love to play Rummy. This has been passed on, in part, to Peter who plays a good game.
The other day, Peter and I were playing. I took a HUGE early lead....400-75.
This is a deep hole and highly unlikely to end well for the trailing party.
Peter showed a bit of discouragement and said..."Oh what's the use, you've won".
I quickly replied..."You know, this could be the greatest come-back in our Rummy History".
Little did I know when I said that.
Well, Peter put together several great hands, and at a game that usually ends at 500 points, we found our selves tied at 630-630.
In the tie-breaker, PETER WON! Final score: 685 to 610.
The moral of the story..."DON'T GIVE UP...EVEN WHEN THE (OVERWHELMING) ODDS ARE AGAINST YOU".
I was so proud of Peter for not "QUITTING" when the game appeared to be OUT OF REACH.
We've framed the score sheet and keep it as a reminder to not quit, but "KEEP ON KEEPING ON"!!
Now, with our Lord Jesus on our side, even seemingly insurmountable odds can be reversed. Just KEEP THE FAITH!!
I don't know. Perhaps you are facing a great challenge(s) today.
May I encourage you to KEEP THE FAITH & TRUST GOD with the outcome.
Peter and I will likely not forget that simple game of Rummy and the lesson it taught us.
And...THANK YOU, as always, for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

Cindy is extremely gifted in helping folks emotionally. I'm so proud of her and especially THANKFUL to our Lord for giving me this Lady of God!
Meanwhile, Ari and I went to a GRAND Thanksgiving Party given by my Kids and Grand Kids. What a day of THANKS-GIVING.
I just can't say enough how truly THANKFUL I am for my precious family.

For now, will simply enjoy delicious food with family and friends and enjoy the freedom and so many blessings that have been poured out upon us.
THANK YOU JESUS!!!
BTW, Cindy and I further celebrated our "Silver Anniversary" by trading in our 2013 Mazda 3 for a "Silver" 2018 Nissan Murano.

A DAY TO CELEBRATE....
Began yesterday at our Home Church, Redeemer. Our Pastor, Gary Ginn asked Cindy and I to share a bit about what Air Mobile does.
We explained how we go around the world and bring CLEAN WATER and the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS to the thirsty.
But...we also have brought the Good News to the patients at an Orlando Hospital for 22 years and...we need VOLUNTEERS to help us.
It was a good day, as we gained a new Volunteer after service!
From Church, we headed to the Hospital with our newest Volunteer, Sam.
After sharing the Gospel, we believe....some New Names were written down in Glory. PRAISE GOD!!
Later yesterday, we had a wonderful Celebration for our 25th Wedding Anniversary.
I can't begin to tell you how BLESSED I am to have my Cindy, a true Lady of God, as my wife!!!
Among our Guests were 4 incredible Veterans. These brave men all served with distinction and whom we owe so much.
We had Dennis, an Army Golden Knight and Mike a Phantom F-4 Pilot who served in Viet Nam.
Next to him was Ron, Cindy's Dad, a Marine who served in Korea.
And finally, Ike, a Legend who served in the Pacific in WWII and a top NASA Engineer.
We were honored to have such men at our Celebration.
Needless to say, it was an incredible day of Celebration and Joy!!

BTW, you may want to have some tissues handy.
John and Jackie Clark from "No One Hungry" ministries spent hours yesterday, helping Yahn to box and prepare our next shipment to the Bahamas.
Where would we be without so many helping us to help others??!!
Had an excellent flight just brushing up on basic flight maneuvers. Just pure fun.
Later yesterday evening, had a great get together with Christian and his kids, Rhythm and Selah along with Dr. Sam Winn and the manager of Dogs-R-Us, and long-time friend, Jason.

Due to very busy scheduling, it's been a while since I've sat in the cockpit and worked on basic maneuvers.
My "Check Pilot", Glen is an airline Captain, and it's often a challenge to get us both in the same area at the same time.
Well, today is a beautiful day for "polishing" my flying skills.
I love doing this, because it allows me to just enjoy the magnificence of simple flying. Have I told you....I love to fly....as if you didn't know?
Later today will be enjoying another wonderful day of College Football, as my beloved LSU Tigers take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Will be joined by Christian and Peter and a few friends. We'll be at one of my favorite spots....Dogs-R-Us in Cocoa, FL. GEAUX TIGERS!!

AN UNEXPECTED GIFT....
Spoke with our mechanic, Paul, yesterday morning. He informed me that a certain component needed replacement.
It was a costly piece ($7000).
I prayed about it and felt led by God to go across the field and ask another operator if he, by chance, had one.
Low and behold, he not only had one, but had 2....in perfect condition.
And...the best part, he handed the component to me and said....NO CHARGE!
THANK YOU, JESUS!!

Then, headed to the airport to inspect the Solar Generator that Yahn is building.

We're preparing for another mission to the Bahamas....soon.

We're basically awaiting a few more components to be over-hauled. I can hardly wait to begin the test flights!!
Was recently invited to speak to the Women's Club of Apopka.

I know that some reading this could care less about football, but bear with me.
My beloved LSU Tigers are having a great year and just may win the National Championship.
It's time to wrap things up at the cabin and head back to Florida. Planning to hit the road tomorrow morning.
Will be re-engaging in the battle to bring clean water and much needed to help and sharing the love of God to those who are suffering in the Bahamas and Haiti and....beyond.
Have also been able to work on a few projects that will help Cindy and I to spend more time up here in this lovely and peaceful part of Tennessee.

ANOTHER "GREAT GAME"....
Last Saturday, Peter and I met in Morristown, TN to watch an incredible game of LSU football.
LSU finally knocked off Alabama after 8 straight losses. The victory was sweet!
Well, this evening, there will be another great game - LSU - Old Miss.
This is always a good game and one steeped in history. I so recall that famous "Billy Cannon" run on Halloween night in 1959.
Oh, I just have to share it....BILLY CANNON'S FAMOUS RUN
It's hard to believe that famous run was 60 years ago!
I remember listening to that very game on the radio....mmm, showing my age.
So, Peter and I will be getting together again this evening in Morristown TN (a good half-way meeting place for us) and we'll watch #1 LSU take on the Ole Miss Rebels.
It's going to be a good game, for sure!!
About to wrap up my time up here at the "Retreat Cabin" and will be heading back to Florida on Monday.
We're planning a number of mission flights to the Bahamas and Haiti. I'm so THANKFUL to have this wonderful time at the cabin.

A TIME....TO PRAY
In between missions, I find myself here at the "Retreat Cabin" with a time to be quiet and PRAY.
We're told to PRAY WITHOUT CEASING (I Thes. 5:17).
With that wonderful verse, none of us are in danger of praying..... too much!
Don't know about you, but when I pray, I'm easily distracted.
A squirrel can cross my path, and my mind wanders off in the woods, leaving prayer behind.
Usually, after a while, I come back to the Throne of Grace and continue my journey of prayer.
Oh, I've got some matters that need prayer, i.e. dealing with cancer and what course to take. Have numerous options.
Of course, I'm standing on the Word of God and BELIEVING God for HEALING! That's the main reason to spend these quiet days at the "Retreat Cabin".
I fully realize that healing can be accomplished medically or simply, miraculously. My life is in His Hands and may His will be done as to how this cancer will be healed.
My personal family has been devastated by cancer. My father, mother and sister all died from cancer. I must admit that this does weigh heavily upon me. And, that's the reason for PRAYER!
So, here I am STANDING on His Word and joined by my faithful friends who are praying for me to have His Guidance and Direction.
I know that I say this every single day, but I want you to know how much I appreciate your faithful prayer, love and support!!!!

TIME WITH JESUS....
One of the things that I absolutely love about spending a little time at the "Retreat Cabin" is having quiet time with Jesus.
Life inherently moves fast. Sometimes, it's difficult to slow down enough to hear the Word of God and actually absorb it.
The "Cabin" sets a good place to do just that.
I'll be heading back to Florida soon enough and getting back into the "trenches" of reaching into the disasters of the world to minister to the hurting and the thirsty.
But for now, have a few quiet days to simply sit at the feet of Jesus and enjoy His presence.
Oh, the older I get, the more I need Jesus!!
I'm especially THANKFUL to my precious Cindy who understands this deep need that I have to spend time with Jesus. THANK YOU, CINDY!!
So, on this cold day in the mountains of East TN, will keep the fire going and the Word of God flowing.
THANK YOU, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Well, record cold temperature and snowfall are here at the "Retreat Cabin". Got down to 12 degrees. BRRRRR!
Just looking at that sweet old wood stove lends itself to a little "Fireside Chat". So, here you go...
Also, THANKFUL for a good internet signal here at the "Retreat Cabin". Just got a phone call from a Pastor in Cocoa Beach who wants to send a load of new tools to the Bahamas.
Well, it just so happens we're heading there soon. Of course I told him, "Yes, we can do that". Love being connected and able to respond.
Then, got another call moments ago from a Church down in Delray Beach, FL asking where to send the check for the water purifier and solar generator for the Bahamas.
I love it! Working with so many folks who love others and care for those who are hurting.

Bracing for 10 degrees and snow here at the "Retreat Cabin" tomorrow!
Bringing up firewood and making sure all the "winterizing" is in place.
This "Florida / Louisiana Boy" is not used to this kind of COLD!
OK, I'll admit it. I'm rather excited about seeing snow and I absolutely love the old "wood stove" here at the cabin.
Just wish my Cindy were here to enjoy it with me (she's working at the hospital in FL).
Meanwhile, I'm arranging the installation of propane gas at a little cabin in the woods this week. It's good to have an alternate source of "heat" in the event of deep cold snap.
Plans are coming together for our next mission to the Bahamas. Yahn is putting a neat "Solar Generator" together for this next deployment.

WHAT A GAME!!!!
THANK YOU for bearing with me on this one. I sure do love my LSU Tigers!!
Peter and I witnessed probably the best game in LSU history.
This is an evening that Peter and I are likely to never forget!
The Tigers (#1) knocked off Alabama (#2) 46-41. All I can say is WOW!!
Peter, who lives in North Carolina drove to "Buffalo Wild Wings" in Morristown, TN to join me in watching this incredible game.
Before Kickoff, we watched "The Battle of Midway". I recommend you see it. What an amazing battle. The Movie was well done.
So, on this chilly Tennessee morning, getting ready for church and looking forward to a day of rest....and "relishing" that victory over Alabama.
Have plenty of chores to do around the cabin, and working on a few projects up here. They can wait until tomorrow.
Must admit, love this time up here at the cabin, listening to the Word of God and RESTING in his awesome grace.

Yes, I understand most "Snow Birds" are going the other direction....leaving the cold and fleeing to the warmth of Florida.
Was on the phone yesterday with my good friend, Bob Bostic of "Deliver the Difference".
We're planning to return to the Bahamas with more vital relief supplies...sometime next week.
BTW, we were just there several weeks ago. Looking forward to getting back.
For now, will enjoy the "cool" weather and inspect the recent job done up here.
And...will be joined by Peter, our son, for the BIG SHOOT-OUT on Saturday.
LSU (Ranked #1 in the nation) against ALABAMA (Ranked #2!). Going to be a GREAT GAME!!
GEAUX TIGERS!!!
Time to head out and inspect that job. THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

A "PROJECT" CALLING......
Cindy and I are working on spending more time up at the "Retreat Cabin" in Tennessee.
We recently commissioned the "black-topping" of a driveway to a little cabin in the woods.
Well, the job is finished (ahead of schedule) and I need to go up and inspect it.
So....this morning, it'll be back "On The Road Again" from Florida to Tennessee. Though it's a long drive, it's a very pleasant road trip and the truth is...I really enjoy it.
The other day, I was with our dear friends, Barbara and Dennis West. Barb brought a bag of the cutest little dresses for the orphans in Haiti.
A precious lady, Karen Brewer, in Massachusetts hand-makes these sweet little dresses.
THANK YOU Barb for delivering them and THANK YOU Karen for your sweet gifts of love.
BTW, Dennis West has joined Air Mobile all over the world bringing clean water to the thirsty. Dennis a GREAT WATER MULE!!
Again, where would we be without so many who support this ministry with their love, gifts and life. THANK YOU, Dennis!!!
Yesterday, I had the privilege to bring Keenan Blair up in a small airplane for the very first time.
Keenan has flown on commercial jets all his life, but never flown in a small plane.
Keenan is considering a career in Aviation. Again, I love sharing my love for flying.
BTW, Keenan would make a fine pilot.
Time to wrap it up here in Florida and hit the road for Tennessee. As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!!

PS - Paul, our mechanic is making good progress on the replacement engine for Ti Burik.
This sweet bird will be back in the air....soon!!! I can hardly wait!!

MY MIND GOES BACK.....
Yesterday evening, Ariana and I went to a fund raiser for her school (Park Avenue Christian Academy). We got in the Ford Escape and made 15 minute ride to a great place called "Pizza@".
Within minutes, we had hot delicious pizza and helped support a great school.
Now, that may sound normal and you may say "what's the big deal, Joe".
Just the fact that we can drive safely on smooth roads and go to a nice place to eat and pay with the swipe of a card and hear the laughter of the children chatter of the parents.
Yes, my mind goes back to the Bahamas, where we were last week, with utter and complete devastation or Haiti racked in violence and suffering or the horror of the 9 Americans brutally executed on the road in Mexico.
So, with our safety and freedom, may we reach out with the Love of Jesus to a suffering world.
And yes, I know that we have problems here in America. Cindy works on the psychiatric ward of a local hospital and we minister (as Chaplains) weekly to those who are hurting, many are suicidal or have other serious emotional problems.
Sometimes, my heart just gets so heavy as I "go back in my mind" to so many hurting places in the world and those right in our own backyard.
It's times like this, that I simply need to go to the "Throne of Grace" and ask our Lord to simply use me today in any way and any where You choose. Here am I, Lord.
May you experience the love of God and may you be used by our Lord today.
THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

RECRUITING....
A dear friend asked me if I could speak with his son about flying.
The young man recently graduated college and may....have an interest in a flying career. I love it!!
We'll be going up this week and I'll have the privilege to introduce him to the wonder and joy of flying. I love my job.
We're also still looking for Volunteers to help Cindy and I with our Chaplain Ministry in the Orlando Hospital.
If you're so inclined...let me know by email or cell. Would love to tell you more about this amazing ministry.
Truly, the fields are white unto harvest!!!
So, on this beautiful Tuesday in sunny Florida...time to get to work. As always, THANK YOU for your precious and greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

HOME OUTREACH & CALLING VOLUNTEERS....
In between International Missions, such as the Bahamas after Dorian and Haiti and deploying into other parts of the world.
Air Mobile also reaches into a hospital right here in Florida and brings the GOOD NEWS of JESUS to the suffering.
We've had this wonderful and amazing OPEN DOOR for nearly 22 years. We can't give specific details of this ministry due to CONFIDENTIALITY restrictions but...we can say that new names are being written down in Heaven.
We're ever looking for VOLUNTEERS to help us in this outreach, especially when Cindy and I can't be there.
We have AMAZING Volunteers, such as Alfred and Lisa Menendez who have faithfully served with us for many years.
But, we still need help with this vital outreach. IF you're interested and would like to participate in this outreach right here in East Central Florida, drop us a note or give a call for more details.
Here is my email address: airmobilejoe@gmail.com / Cell: 1-321-544-7757.
This outreach occurs each Sunday afternoon between 1:45pm and 3:30pm. The hospital is located in Orlando near UCF (University of Central Florida).
BTW, yesterday, Cindy and I witnessed our Lord move again and touch lives with His AMAZING GRACE!
Hope to hear from you. God bless and as always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

A QUIET DAY IN SUNNY FLORIDA....
Cindy and I enjoyed the Grand Annual Garage sale in our community.
Nice to meet the neighbors and enjoy a peaceful, fun day.
Ahhh, Americana...Garage Sales.
We're just thankful for the tranquil and beautiful day here in Florida.
After Church today, we'll be heading to the Hospital where we've had the PRIVILEGE to be the Chaplains for over 22 years.
The folks in this hospital are hurting and when we come in and bring the GOOD NEWS of JESUS, they gladly receive it.
We can say..."Surely, the fields are white unto harvest"!
Again, what a joy and privilege to share Jesus!!!
THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

HOME BASE....
The 12 hour drive home was smooth and without incident. THANK GOD!!
BTW, the short video clip did not capture the incredible colors I was witnessing.
Just taking in the beauty of ride brings me closer to our Lord. Yes, God is good!!
It's good to be home. We're having a huge garage sale in our community today.
It's a good time to clean out the garage and streamline a bit more.
THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

TIME TO HIT THE ROAD FOR FLORIDA....
Will be wrapping up this "recharge" time in the mountains of East Tennessee. Sure do love the "Retreat Cabin"!!
Cindy and I are looking to a time when we can spend more time up here. It's such a sweet spot.
Will be pointing the nose of the Ford Escape back to Florida. It's a 12 hour drive, but one that I rather enjoy.
The Fall leaves are exploding in glorious color. Good for the soul.
Time to pack up and "hit the road".
As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!
