HURRICANE LAURA ROARS ASHORE....MAJOR DESTRUCTION IN PATH

This is the most intense winds at landfall in Louisiana in 164 years!!

Here's more - CONDITIONS DETERIORATE AS LAURA MAKES LANDFALL

Reports are coming in as I type.  We're monitoring the situation very closely, especially where folks may need CLEAN WATER.

The "Rescue" flight that Air Mobile was preparing for has been postponed due to unexpected complications.

PLEASE PRAY for the 2 year old who is very ill and needs urgent medical care.  Air Mobile stands by....

And, it looks like Hurricane Laura will actually cross the state of Tennessee...in a much weakened state.

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

LAURA ROARS!!! &....A RESCUE IN A RESCUE

Here comes Hurricane Laura who is rapidly growing into a Cat 4 Hurricane.

Cameron, LA is the "target" though that can certainly shift.  Houston & South, LA are on FULL ALERT!

This is a deadly Hurricane and will bring a lot of TIDAL SURGE...10-15'!

Air Mobile is on FULL ALERT & PREPARING for what might lie ahead.

Late yesterday evening, received an urgent call from a dear friend in Haiti.

His grandson is critically ill and needs urgent medical care.

We just may fly there, assess the damage done by Laura and bring that little one back to the U.S. to receive the urgent care he desperately needs.

PLEASE PRAY that we have our Lord's Guidance on this RESCUE MISSION!

At any rate, we're TRACKING LAURA very closely and will likely depart Tennessee for FLORIDA as soon as LAURA makes landfall .

These are perilous and dangerous times and again, PRAYER is urgently needed.

Today, will be preparing and battening down the hatches here at the Retreat Cabin.

As always, THANK YOU(!!) for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

And....she also has gotten a lovely Paint.  More to come....

Have to run into town to buy supplies and have to run before the rain comes.

Have more to say about horses....stay tuned!!

THANKS, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!

BACK AT THE CABIN.....BACK TO WORK

Drove back from Charleston, WV yesterday.  What a lovely drive!  We truly enjoyed the amazing Horse Rescues.

Time to get back to work on the fencing and preparing for our next crops here at the "Retreat Cabin".

Keeping a very close eye on LAURA & MARCO.  MARCO appears to be weakening  & LAURA is strengthening.

These are going to bring a lot of rain and flooding from the Florida Panhandle to Texas.

Here's more - MARCO & LAURA...TRACK THE STORMS

Air Mobile is ready to help if need be.  We continue to watch & pray!!

THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

DOUBLE TROUBLE...FOR LOUISIANA & HORSE RESCUE

Looks like Louisiana is in the "Bulls Eye" of 2 Dangerous storms, Marco and Laura!

Hope & Pray that the Levees hold!!  There's going to be a lot of wind and rain.

I have a lot of family & friends there and praying for their safety!

Here's more on those converging storms - DOUBLE TROUBLE FOR LOUISIANA!

Yesterday, Cindy, Ari and I traveled to West Virginia to see the Great Appalachian Trainers Face-Off!

What a show and what a story.  The goal of this great organization is HORSE RESCUE and extraordinary TRAINING!

Cindy and I are looking to get a couple of horses and the Retreat Cabin is a great place for that.

We've been working hard to get a couple "Paddocks" ready for the day we get those horses.  We're PRAYING for wisdom.

It was a great experience seeing horses that were abandoned and abused to be restored and trained so beautifully.

Here's a short clip of one such Rescued Horse performing to "Voice of Truth".  WOW!!

So, it's time to hit the road and make the beautiful drive from West Virginia to the lovely mountains of East Tennessee.

As always, THANK YOU for your faithful and truly appreciate prayer, love and support!!!

2 (POTENTIAL) HURRICANES TARGET GULF COAST!!

We're tracking Tropical Storms Laura & Marco, both aiming for the Gulf Coast between Louisiana & Texas.

For the first time since 1933, these storms could hit on the same day. They will bring a LOT of rain and wind.  We PRAY for all in the path!

NOW is a good time to PRAY, PLAN & PREPARE!!

Here's more - RARE SITUATION BREWING: POSSIBLE DUELING U.S. LANDFALLS

Air Mobile has the Little Donkey "READY" to FLY & Rescuer water purifiers "READY" to DEPLOY if need be.  WE PRAY for guidance!!

While tracking these storms, Cindy, Ari and I are headed to West Virginia today to look at some "Rescue" horses.

Yes, we may be getting a couple of horses.  We're searching for the right ones.  Horses can be a very valuable tool & asset during hard times.

Time to pack up and head to West Virginia.  As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

2 HURRICANES ON THE SAME DAY???  JUST MAY HAPPEN!

We're keeping a very close eye on the Tropics.  There is certainly a lot meteorological INSTABILITY in the region.

It's possible to have 2 significant hurricanes strike the U.S. on the same day.

Of course, should that happen, there would be a lot of damage and possible loss of life.

Here's more -  TROPICAL DEPRESSIONS 13 & 14 - TRACK THE STORMS!!

(Note:  The Report comes after the Commercial).

As these storms develop, we're making plans (if need be) to move the Little Donkey out of harms way.

Once these storms have passed, we can then fly into the areas where we can lend help.

We WATCH & PRAY & PREPARE!!

In the meantime, we're busy at the Retreat Cabin putting in fencing, strengthening our bridge and planning our next crops for the fall Victory Garden.

Can't begin to tell you how happy we are to have Cindy home.  She served well at the Hospital in Hazard, KY, but....we're BLESSED to have her home!

Our Lord is so good to us, at times, we're just overwhelmed by His Amazing Grace and Love!!

As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS & COYOTES....

Had to share this sunset with you.  They simply take our breath away.

So often, these sunsets are there for all to behold, but....you need to lift your eyes up and look.

We've had this "Retreat Cabin" for over 8 years. We've had coyotes come through our property nearly every night.  They'll bark & yelp and let you know that they're there.

However....last night we had the largest pack of them come through and they're coming very close to our cabin.

We need to do something about this and we're seeking wisdom as to know how to deal with it.  Please pray with us that we solve the problem.

In the meantime, we're putting in some good fencing to help with cattle and possibly several horses.  That would be quite enjoyable.

Yahn, our Chief Water Mule gave our sweet little airplane, "The Little Donkey" a good wash down.

Here's Yahn's Video describing the details.

YAHN'S VIDEO OF THE LITTLE DONKEY WASH DOWN

Yes, we're keeping that sweet bird READY FOR ACTION!

Who knows when our next mission will be?  The Lord does and we're ready!!

Time to head out into the field.  As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

A BEAUTIFUL MORNING & MAKING A BRIDGE STRONGER

Waking up to a cool, gentle rain and a lovely rainbow with an "Airshow" in the background.  Oh, what a beautiful morning!

Yesterday, my friend Robert showed up with his tractor to help us get some "heavy" beams out to make our bridge stronger and more useful.  That's a good thing!!

So, here in the mountains of East Tennessee, life goes on and we're staying close to Jesus....a good place to be!

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

A GOOD REPORT!!!

I'm pleased to say that my 3 month check-up with my Urologist went well.  The tests were satisfactory and I'll come back again in 3 months.

PRAISE GOD & THANK YOU for your prayers!!!

While we were in Knoxville, Mark laid new tracks across our old bridge giving it new life and strength.

Time to get to work at the "Retreat Cabin".  So THANKFUL for this wonderful place.

Again, can't thank you enough for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

BACK TO KNOXVILLE.....

Today is my 3 month check-up with my Urologist to see what the cancer is doing.  We're confident that it is all under our Lord's control!!

Cindy and I will be driving to Knoxville this morning for that Doctors appointment.  Love spending time with Cindy, even going to the Doctor together.

Meanwhile, Mark and Jared will be working on the "Bridge" today, making "tracks" over the existing bridge.

This should strengthen it substantially.  THANK GOD for good craftsmen and friends!

We're also keeping a close eye on the Tropics.  Looks like there are 2 potential storms forming off the coast of Africa, as I type.

Time to head to Knoxville.  As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

CREATIVE WAYS....

COVID-19 has brought about creative ways to go to church.  We're still enjoying hearing our Florida Pastor Gary deliver the Word of God via YouTube.

I'm reminded of a message I heard at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you're not catching fish, or unable to catch fish then try something new.  Like...."CAST YOUR NET ON THE OTHER SIDE".

Some are still unable to attend a regular church service.

That's where the Virtual comes in and brings the Word of God....which shall not return void!
And of course, FAITH COMES BY HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD!

So, wherever you are today, may we encourage you to go to the Word of God.

Whether you attend a live service or catch it on YouTube or YouVersion, hear and receive God's Word.

I assure you, your day will go better and Faith will rise in your life.

There, my little bit of preaching today.  THANK YOU for rambling down this road of life with Cindy and I.  As always, we so appreciate your prayer, love and support!!!

WHEN THE BRIDGE IS OUT.....

Fact is, when the bridge is out, things can't go in or get out.  Not a good position.

Well, our bridge that crosses the creek needed some serious repair.  Just so happens that our Lord, as is His way, sent us just the help we needed to get it back in a safe state.

Mark & Jerad were right on time to do the repairs and now.  Here it comes....

"Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops".  THANK YOU JESUS!!

THANK YOU, Mark & Jerad for shifting from the project of expanding my work shop to repairing the Bridge.  You Guys are a gift from God!!

I'm about to get on the little tractor and go check the final repairs, but it's raining right now.  We're in for some stormy weather today.

Here's a "Bridge Report" on the good progress.  We can now cross it!

It's all part of living on a farm and taking care of business & having a little fun along the way.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!
