FIXING OLD THINGS.....

For years, I've resisted buying a new lawn tractor.  We have 3 old ones (1990 Vintage) that I just  "keep em running".

Well, today, Yahn and I will be grinding & setting some valves and checking the head gasket on two of them.

Just part of the "chores" here at the "Retreat Cabin".

Folks, I must say....it's good to be home!!

Our "Next Mission" will come soon enough.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

COMING HOME....DODGING STORMS

It was time to leave my home state of Louisiana and my dear friends, Dan and Charlene Andrews.

This couple was AMAZING, in providing me with a comfortable "base" and transportation to and from the Disaster caused by Hurricane Ida.

Having left several Air Mobile Rescuers behind for future deployments, and one unit in the hands of Clarence, it was time to head home and refresh and recharge!

I departed Northshore Airport (Hamond, LA) and climbed to 13,500'.

All along the way, and just south of my route were towering thunderstorms.  Again, our Lord made a way through to home.

Oh, it's so good being home with Cindy and Ari.  Just love our little "Retreat Cabin".

Shortly after landing, major storms came.  This morning, I awoke to near 0/0 visibility.  I got home....just in time.  Our Lord is GOOD!!

So, here at the "Retreat Cabin", I'll be resting and taking care of a lot paperwork and business.  so GLAD TO BE HOME!!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

9-8-21 Wednesday 6:49 AM (U.S. Central Time) - Air Mobile in Baton Rouge - Report submitted by Air Mobile Joe

SEEKING......

Yesterday, Dan Andrews and I drove literally hundreds of miles seeking isolated and "cut-off" communities.

Power lines are down everywhere, some in treacherous positions.

We drove down "River Road" right next to the Mississippi River levee from LaPlace to New Orleans.

In nearly every location, we found roads open and access to CLEAN WATER available.

We had successfully placed an Air Mobile Rescuer with Clarence Narcise and we're confident that Clarence will distribute water into his community.

Dan and I returned to LaPlace and spoke with Harold DeGruy of First Baptist Church of LaPlace and came to the same conclusion.

Our Plan is to leave 2 Air Mobile Rescuers in Baton Rouge, along with the unit in the care of Clarence Narcise.

Today, I'll be loading up the balance of Air Mobile Rescuers in the Little Donkey and flying back to the "Retreat Cabin" in Tennessee.

Those Rescuers will be deployed in Haiti soon!!

Sure have missed my Cindy and Ariana!!  Time to head home for a much needed rest!

And...a special THANKS to Dan and Charlene for their wonderful hospitality and driving hundreds of miles searching for those in need.

We celebrated this "Mission" with a delicious "Cajun" dinner at Mike Anderson's, a famous LA spot!

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

TEST....TEST.....TEST

Dan and I spent yesterday morning opening up each Air Mobile Rescuer and testing all of the power cables.

Only found 1 with a glitch and it was easily repaired.  PRAISE GOD!

We then returned to LaPlace, one of the hardest hit areas and continued our TRAINING with Clarence Narcise.

Clarence is becoming a quality "Water Mule".

Remember, Clarence is a U.S. Marine and loves the Lord Jesus!!

BTW, it's very encouraging to see Bucket Trucks from all over the country converging on this area and working together to bring back the electricity!!

Today, we'll return to the area and meet with local churches to help us identify the areas of greatest need.

We're so THANKFUL to be able to plunge into these areas and bring CLEAN WATER!!

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart....THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

AN OLD MARINE....& FIXING A GLITCH

Dan & I made the drive from Baton Rouge to LaPlace.  Notice the "big gator".

In LaPlace, we found Clyde of the LA Cajun Navy hard at work.

I had asked Clyde if he could help us find some empty water jugs.  Man, did he come through!

Now, with a place to put the CLEAN WATER, we could begin deployments.

The roads are still treacherous, as demonstrated by this leaning power line....so close.

We returned to see Clarence Narcise, a former, but always..U.S. Marine.

I asked Clarence if he'd like head up the CLEAN WATER distribution in his community.  He gladly accepted the job.

I trained Clarence on the set up and operation of the Rescuer.

During the training, we found a glitch in one of our power cables.  More on that later.

It was  joy to present Clarence with an Air Mobile Rescuer.

When the water crisis passes, Clarence will call Dan who will come and get the unit.  We're confident that Clarence will do a great job!!

We then returned to Baton Rouge to open up all of the Rescuers and test those power cables for glitches.

The MISSION continues!!!

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

9-5-21 Sunday 8:14 AM (U.S. Central Time) - Air Mobile in Baton Rouge - Report submitted by Air Mobile Joe

SEEKING THE LEAST.....

My long-time friend (since High School) Dan and I hit the road for Metairie, LA to meet with Todd Taylor, Manager of Disaster Relief for Samaritan's Purse.

We discussed the best place for us to deploy the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers.

The conclusion is to find the isolated, hard to reach areas and bring the ability to make dirty water clean.  Todd shared some good ideas.

Next, we were off the meet with the Louisiana Cajun Navy's "Admiral", Clyde Cain.

We've worked with Clyde before and know that he has incredible contacts and resources.  We were not disappointed.

Clyde picked up his phone and called General Honere.  The General knows DISASTER RELIEF!

Clyde also lined us up with the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Agents.

We followed them into an isolated community right next to the Mississippi River.

These Agents were GREAT!  They led us to several communities that need CLEAN WATER!

It was a joy watching them distribute food and supplies.

What we need now are water vessels to put the CLEAN WATER into.

Dan and I headed back to Baton Rouge.  Had to work around some high water and downed power lines.

So, today, we're heading back to LaPlace, LA to bring the ability to make CLEAN WATER out of DIRTY WATER!  PRAISE GOD!!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

AIR MOBILE IN LOUISIANA....

Had an excellent flight from our FL base in Titusville, FL to Hammond, Louisiana.

Climbed to 14,500' and found a little tail wind.  Love those!!

Landed in Hammond, LA and met Local Business Man, Pete Davies and Jay Johnson, Director of Prayer for the "Research Counsel".

These Gentlemen lined up a critical meeting with Samaritan's Purse.

Set up our Louisiana Operation with my long-time friend, Dan Andrews.

This morning, Dan and I will be driving to Metarie, LA to meet with Samaritan's Purse Disaster Relief.

We'll also be traveling to LaPlace, LA to meet with the Louisiana Cajun Navy.

The MISSION moves forward.  We stand READY to GO where HE wants us to GO!

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

AIR MOBILE IN FLORIDA....LOUISIANA NEXT

Had a successful drive to FL, no delays or complications.  THANK the LORD!

Passed this "strange vessel" along the way.  Never know what you'll find on I-95.

This morning, will be loading the Little Donkey with Air Mobile Rescuers and flying to Louisiana.

Our goal is bring CLEAN WATER into isolated and hard to reach communities.

We PRAY for all who have been devastated by Hurricane Ida.

May our Lord lead us each step of the way.

Time to head to the airport and load the Little Donkey.

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

ON THE ROAD....TO LOUISIANA VIA FLORIDA

Bid Cindy and Ari goodbye and hit the road for Florida on my way to Louisiana with 10 Air Mobile Rescuers on-board my Ford Escape.

The plan is load the Rescuers up into the Little Donkey which is in Florida and fly to Louisiana.

Could see evidence of what once was Hurricane Ida as it plows into the Northeast.

Ida is still wreaking havoc with major flooding.

The news from Louisiana is not good.  Lack of power, water & fuel is hindering relief / recovery efforts.

Here's more - IDA WREAKS DEVASTATION

I stopped at the halfway point and found a comfortable bed at a Hampton Inn somewhere in South Carolina.

Folks, just being in a clean room with electricity, with the ability to go to Walmart or anywhere else and no fuel line is a blessing.

Knowing that folks in Louisiana have none of these just breaks my heart.  Over 1 million without power and 600,000 without clean water!

I must keep pressing on to get to Louisiana.  Packing up and about to hit the road again.

As always, thank you for your precious prayer, love and support!!

10 AIR MOBILE RESCUERS TO LOUISIANA!

We have been working "around the clock" to prepare 10 Air Mobile Rescuers for rapid deployment in Louisiana.

These units were originally built for Haiti, but....with the urgency and destruction from Hurricane Ida, they'll be going first to Louisiana.

Here's more - IDA'S SWELTERING AFTERMATH: NO POWER, NO WATER, NO GASOLINE!

Meanwhile, Yahn, our Chief Water Mule, is busy building more Rescuers for Haiti.

Yesterday, Yahn delivered  Air Mobile Rescuers to our Retreat Cabin.

At any rate, we feel that time is of the essence and we must GO to Louisiana to see how we can help those who are isolated and need clean water.

As soon as we finish our "Mission" to Louisiana, we'll be going right back to Haiti with more Air Mobile Rescuers!

THANK YOU, especially for your prayers for my healing.  I am definitely feeling better and am relieved for the "NEGATIVE" Covid-19 test results.  This is surely an answer to PRAYER!

Can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

LOUISIANA DEVASTATED!! HOW TO GET AIR MOBILE RESCUERS TO LOUISIANA & HAITI??

We're coming up with a plan to go to Louisiana with 10 Rescuers and bring CLEAN water into HOTSPOTS (where folks are cut off).  Perhaps setting up all 10 units in one location.

Just got off the phone with Clyde, of the Louisiana Cajun Navy.

The eye of Hurricane Ida went right over Hammond, LA, Clyde's hometown.

I plan to head to Florida in the next 24 hours to get the Little Donkey loaded up with Air Mobile Rescuers, and fly to Louisiana.

When we finish with the Louisiana Operation, we'll clean up those units and bring them down to Haiti, where clean water is also desperately needed.

This plan is subject to change, as the Disaster of Hurricane Ida is always changing.

BTW, just got the results from my COVID-19 TEST....

The Results:  NEGATIVE!!!

PRAISE GOD!!!!

Folks, the MISSION CONTINUES!!!

As always, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

PRAY FOR LOUISIANA AS MONSTER IDA STRIKES!

Been in touch with members of my family and friends in Louisiana.

As you may know, I'm from Baton Rouge.

Hurricane Ida is being called a.... "LIFE ALTERING EVENT"!

The main threat is a huge tidal surge  (in places up to 16'!).

Air Mobile does have 2 Air Mobile Rescuers strategically placed in Baton Rouge for immediate deployment, if necessary.

Meanwhile, here at the "Retreat Cabin", I'm gradually feeling better.

Still awaiting the results from my last COVID 19 Tests.  The labs are backed up.

Folks, I say this every single day, and truly mean it with all of my heart....THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

HERE COMES HURRICANE IDA!

We all remember Hurricane Katrina.  Well, Hurricane Ida is on the same track!

We at Air Mobile stand ready to help.

We PRAY for all in the track & path of this deadly Cat 4+ Hurricane.

If you are in the "Cone", consider moving to high ground and overall, just get out of the way.  It's not worth the chance!!

Stay tuned and THANK YOU for you invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

Oh, just came across this story by my good friend and Brother-in-Christ, John Torres of Florida Today.

ALL NATURAL FOOD...CLEAN AIR....PRAYER & HEALING

These are the things that I love about our little "Retreat Cabin" in the Mountains of East TN!

I must admit, the last mission to Haiti sure took a lot out of me.  Even though I've tested "NEGATIVE" on each (4) COVID-19 TEST, still have a wicked cough and low grade fever.

I just need a bit of time for healing here at the Retreat Cabin.  THANK GOD for this place.

While driving from town yesterday, saw the beginning of another lovely sunset.  Just love it up here.

Now, on another note, what is happening in Afghanistan is.... breaking my heart!!

PLEASE PRAY for our Lord to intervene in this carnage.  As never before, our Leaders need God's Wisdom and Courage!

PLEASE PRAY FOR BOTH HAITI & AFGHANISTAN!

BTW, we are preparing for our "Next Mission" to Haiti.

Air Mobile Rescuers are being built as I type this blog.  We still need funding.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A MESSAGE AT A REST STOP.....

First of all, with our Lord's Grace & help made it back to the "Retreat Cabin".  PRAISE GOD!!

So good to see Cindy and Ari!  Missed them so much.

Shot this quick "vid" to try to capture some my thoughts on the ride to the Retreat Cabin.

Along the way, had so many thoughts of where I'd just been.  Coming from Haiti where gangs and earthquake destruction have cut off large portions of Haiti, making it so difficult to bring help to the needy.

Then, hearing the news of Afghanistan just breaks my heart.  Tens of thousands TRAPPED with very real death threats.  We must PRAY for those in harms way.

Now that I'm home for a bit, heading into town to get another COVID TEST.

Looking forward to some much needed rest.

In the meantime, Yahn, our Chief Water Mule, is diligently building Air Mobile Rescuers for our....."NEXT MISSION".

As I say every single day, and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

ON THE ROAD....TO HOME!

After dropping the G-500 at Orlando Aircraft Services yesterday morning, I hit the road for Tennessee & home.

Just so happened that my good friend Lee needed a ride to Savanna. I welcomed Lee and he did the driving to Savanna.

Then drove a few more hours and found a nice room somewhere in SC.  Slept well.

Hope to be at the Retreat Cabin by mid afternoon.  Oh, I've missed Cindy, Ari and just being at the Cabin.

I've been following the tragedy that is unfolding in Afghanistan.

My heart BREAKS for those attempting to save their lives by getting out.

PLEASE PRAY that our Lord will help those in such danger.

And....as I say every single day, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

WORKING TO RELOAD....

This morning, still have a little "glitch" in the Avionics for the Little Donkey.

After flying the Little Donkey to Orlando and installing a new cooling fan in the G-500, it tested good.

By the time I flew back to Titusville, it threw the failure code again.

Will be back to Orlando today.  These Guys at Orlando Aircraft Services (OAS) are good and won't stop until it's repaired.

We're already receiving donations for our "Next Mission" to Haiti.

Our goal is bring in another 10 Rescuers!

While all of this is going on.....I hope to drive the Ford Escape back to Tennessee.  Sure have missed my Cindy and Ari.

I'm especially THANKFUL for your prayer, love and support.  I'm definitely feeling better.  GOD BLESS!!

TENNESSEE FLOODING & HENRI NOT OVER

While waiting in Florida for a replacement cooling fan for our Garmin G-500 (Avionics), my heart breaks for the folks in Western TN and those being hammered by TS Henri.

Our  Retreat cabin in TN is in the north eastern tip and other than a lot of rain, Cindy and Ari are just fine.

We PRAY for the tens of thousands who have been impacted by this terrible flooding both in TN and the U.S. Northeast.

As soon as the replacement cooling fan arrives, I'll fly the Little Donkey to Orlando and have it replaced.

We're already working on our next flight to Haiti.  We're THANKFUL that we were able to deploy 10 Air Mobile Rescuers.  The need is so great.  We must do all we can to return as soon as possible.

I must admit, being here in FL awaiting the cooling fans is a perfect situation for me to simply rest.  This last week in Haiti sure took a lot out of this old "Warrior for Christ".

As I say every single day, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A SMOOTH & QUICK FLIGHT BACK TO THE U.S.

After all 10 of the Air Mobile Rescuers had been deployed, it was time to point the nose of the Little Donkey toward Florida and fly home....to rest and reload.

We're so THANKFUL to Matt & Anna who hosted Taylor and I for the week.

Then, headed to the Port-au-Prince airport, fueled the Little Donkey and took off with a welcomed tail wind.

Though Hurricane Henri was increasing in strength, we stayed just below and had an excellent flight back to Florida.

Love those TAILWINDS!!!  194 Knots got us back to Florida quickly.

The memories and images of the terrible trials that Haiti is going through, just break my heart.

I'm glad that we can do SOMETHING to help.  We'll be working on RELOADING the Little Donkey with more Air Mobile Rescuers!

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable and precious prayer, love and support!!!

TIME TO RELOAD.....

Spent yesterday in Joe's Depot training Operators on the Air Mobile Rescuer.

Was pleased to present Father Calixte with a Rescuer.

I met Fr Calixte on my last mission to Haiti.

He was so taken by the capability of the Rescuer, he asked if Air Mobile could provide one for his mission.

THANKS to your generosity and love, I was able to present the good FR with a Rescuer.

Also, a third generation missionary requested a Rescuer for his Mission Director, David.

It was a pleasure meeting David and his family.

I trained them on the operation and presented them with a unit.

PRAISE GOD for more CLEAN WATER flowing where desperately needed.

It is with a somewhat heavy heart to leave Haiti.  The needs are so great!!

The Little Donkey awaits us.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

8 RESCUERS DEPLOYED....2 TO GO!

Spent yesterday at our Haiti Base in Bon Repos training operators on the Rescuer and arranging deliveries.

Just saw this story from WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando...."PEOPLE ARE ABSOLUTELY DESPERATE".....

Then came across this story from WBIR Channel 10 in Knoxville, TN....HUMANITARIAN FLYING IN 10 WATER PURIFIERS INTO HAITI

BTW, we're THANKFUL to our local media for telling our story.

It helps folks to know how to PRAY for us and how they can help.

Today, we'll be in Joe's Depot servicing several units. I'll also be training Taylor on the deep operation of the Rescuer.

We're expecting 2 more operators today to come and receive their Rescuers and be trained on the remarkable unit.

Once all 10 Rescuers have been deployed, it'll be time get in the Little Donkey and fly home.

This has been a heart-breaking, but rewarding mission.  So glad we can help and THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

GROUND ZERO....WHAT A DAY!!!

Taylor, our Marine Co-Pilot and I met Bobby and Sherry  Burnett of Love-A-Child Ministries at the Port-au-Prince airport early yesterday morning.

BTW, I've known and worked with Bobby & Sherry for 43 years.  These Guys are the BEST!!

Our Destination:  JEREMIE....HARD HIT!!!

We had a quick 40 minute flight to Jeremie.

We were met by Mayor Yves Rose, a dynamic Christian and great Mayor!!  She also has an incredible orphanage with 300+ orphans.

Just days before the terrible earthquake, our Lord directed Sister Rose to move all of her orphans to a safe, open location and stock up on food.  Then....the Earthquake hit!

PRAISE GOD for sensitivity to the  Holy Spirit.

We donated an Air Mobile Rescuer to Sister Rose right on the spot!

After hearing more of this "Lady of God's" work, we decided to donate 2 Air Mobile Rescuers!!

Then, we loaded up in the Land Cruiser and headed into the death, destruction and devastation of Jeremie.

Here are some clips of what we saw.....

Notice the water leak...

I'm telling the guy in the gray t-shirt that he's working hard and doing a good job.

This is where 2 children died....

Each & every one has a story....

We then returned to the Retreat Orphanage (where Mayor Rose brought the orphans before the earthquake) and trained the operators on the Air Mobile Rescuer.

The children eagerly awaited the fresh flow of CLEAN WATER!

We then began the training.

One of the things I like to do is put a dirty foot into the bucket and then...

Drink the water AFTER it's gone through the Rescuer.

Then, Mayor Rose drank....

Then....the children drink...
LOVE IT!!

Mayor Rose did a "Happy Dance" in Jesus for the gift of CLEAN WATER!!

We bid our farewells, loaded up in the Little Donkey and flew back to Port-au-Prince.

WHAT A DAY!!!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

FLIGHT TO JEREMIE....

I was surprised to fire up my GPS in the Little Donkey to find....Jeremie Airport was NOT in my data base.

Found a couple of MAF Pilots who helped me program in this airport.  They well understood the problem.  THANKS MAF!

We made the flight with a 35 knot tailwind.  Tropical Storm Grace was still bringing a lot of wind and rain.

Had a nice strong headwind and landed at Jeremie to find my dear friend and Brother in Christ, Barry Russell, Co-Pastor of the Grove Church in Titusville.

Barry flew into Haiti the day before the earthquake!

We were able to train his Haitian Pastor and donate an Air Mobile Rescuer to his mission.

Today, we'll be back in the Little Donkey headed to other "Ground Zero" areas.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR OUR SAFETY & WISDOM!!

AIR MOBILE IN HAITI!

We landed Port-au-Prince, Haiti at 9:45am.  Had a good flight in and around Tropical Storm Grace....PRAISE GOD!!

Truly, our Lord made a way through Tropical Storm Grace!!  THANK YOU for your PRAYERS!!!

Upon landing, we cleared quickly and unloaded our precious cargo of the ability to make CLEAN WATER!!

After landing, we discovered a very small fuel leak on the front engine of the Little Donkey.

The MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) mechanics jumped right on it and had it fixed in less than an hour.  THANK YOU MAF!!

Tropical Storm Grace was bringing wave after wave of wind and rain.

The timing of our Landing was perfect, as our Lord had opened up a beautiful clear corridor right to the runway.

THANK YOU JESUS!!

So, today, Tropical Storm Grace is still bringing major rains and flooding over Haiti.

As soon as the weather clears, we'll be in the air to Ground Zero of the terrible earthquake and seeking to bring CLEAN WATER and aid where most needed.

We truly appreciate your prayer, love and support!!!!

A GOOD DECISION.....

Yesterday, I flew the Little Donkey from TN to FL.

This flight would put Air Mobile into position to Launch our relief efforts into Haiti.

We have 10 Air Mobile Rescuers aboard which will bring a LOT of CLEAN WATER to thirsty folks.

As I flew over the Blue Ridge mountains, was astounded by the beauty and majesty of this range.

Upon landing in Titusville, fueled the Little Donkey and analyzed the movement of Tropical Storm Grace.

Oh Folks, I wanted to just load up and fire those engines and fly to Haiti but....some complications on the Haiti end delayed our departure.

Finally, the decision was made to WAIT for the "green light" from our Lord.

Well, after viewing what TS Grace was doing, we could see that had we have launched when I wanted to...we would have run into this at night.

Not a pretty picture!!

While waiting (on the Lord), local Fox 35 shot this piece on our efforts - FOX 35 INTERVIEWS AIR MOBILE JOE

So, today, we're READY TO GO and we're awaiting the CLEARANCE from our Lord.

We'll be analyzing the movement of TS Grace and will GO when we should GO!

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

AIR MOBILE MOBILIZING TO HAITI HORROR!!

Cindy and I, like many are heartbroken at the plight taking place in Haiti following the devastating 7.2 earthquake.

The death toll is steadily rising and USGS states it will be in the "THOUSANDS"!!

Time is of the essence!  I'll be flying Ti Burik to Florida this morning and staging our relief operations out of our Titusville office.

PLEASE PRAY!!!!

And to add to this horror..... here come Tropical Storm Grace!!

Will write more later!!!

As always, and I truly mean this with all of my heart....THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

I'll be carrying in at least 10 Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purifiers.  Only 1 unit is funded.  The cost of each unit is $3,000 USD.

WAIT....ON THE LORD

We stand, ready to go.  So THANKFUL to be feeling better and I truly appreciate your prayers!

WAITING on the LORD, is renewing my strength!!

For now, on this beautiful Saturday morning, we're harvesting our crops and Cindy and Ari are "canning" as we go.

We'll be working on our duck pond today and I know that Lou (the male Mallard) will be happy for his girls.

As I scan the news, and especially the Weather, we've got Fred about to hit somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico between Mississippi and Florida and Grace forming in the Windward Islands.

We're building Rescuers in preparation for a busy hurricane season.

We'll also be launching another Mission soon to deliver another Rescuer (funded via "Go Fund Me" in Memory of my dear friend, Larry Junker).

Time to go spread some dirt and get that new duck pond ready for our ducks.

THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

I often ask myself....why do I write a daily blog?  It's been over 11 years and with our Lord's help and a lot of grace, have not missed a day.

Now Folks, I believe that our Lord Jesus is coming back to this earth and I believe it will be SOON!

However, if our Lord Jesus does not come back in the near future (remember, no man knows the day or the hour) I'd like to leave a  journal about what it is like living in this time period.

Perhaps my kids, grand kids and great grand kids will enjoy my rambling account of living life from the fifties to....the present day.

Our Lord has done great and marvelous things in my life and I do want to share HIS AMAZING GRACE!!

We live in a rural area of Tennessee and grow our own crops, have our own water source, can generate all the electricity that we need and overall, enjoy living here immensely!

We are surrounded by neighbors who Love Jesus and they're not ashamed to say so.  We help each other in so many ways.

How long will we enjoy this freedom to worship and serve our Lord and above all, Obey His Word?  We don't know, but for now, we're THANKFUL for what we have.

I'm reminded of Joshua 25:15...."As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord".

Now, regarding Covid-19 and the Delta Variant, we are exercising good sanitation and using the wisdom that our Lord has given us and believing God for His Protection as found in Psalm 91.

I feel it is not my place to say whether or not to take the vaccine.  This should be a decision that you make with our Lord's direction.

Oh, we received the results of the biopsy on my arm where the spider bit me.  It came back as....a spider bite.  Well we knew that, but my medical team wanted to know more as to why I am having symptoms for over 70 days.

Well, I'm pleased to say that the symptoms are gradually subsiding and I'm able to get back to work at about 50%.

BTW, my good Brother in Christ and neighbor, Rich came over and helped dig out our duck pond.  Will certainly bring great joy to Lou and his girls and the new arrivals.  THANK YOU RICH!!

And...I want to THANK YOU, who ramble down this road of life with me,  for your precious and faithful prayer, love and support!!!

THOUGHT I HAD A "RUPTURED BLADDER"....ON THE CABIN

We have a 406' deep well that gives us wonderful, pure water.

Well, the pressure went a little crazy high (80-90 psi) and I needed to replace the "Pressure Switch".

Once doing so, I thought it was all done.  But...the pressure kept rising and falling.  Looked like I had a "Ruptured Bladder" on our Pressure tank.

After crawling under the cabin multiple times and fighting off more spiders (no new bites, thank God!), it appears that all is well and the water pressure is holding steady.

You know, we often don't give very much thought to just turning on the water faucet and water coming out.

When it malfunctions....it gets our whole attention.  I'm so glad and thankful to have good water flowing into the "Retreat Cabin" again.

I'm slowly getting better and should be getting the biopsy report back today.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support.

NOTE:  The blog was a little late this morning, as I had to get the water flowing again at the cabin.  All is well!

CINDY "CAN".....

Our "Victory Garden" has produced an incredible yield!

Cindy has been "canning" and reminded me of the old saying....

"Eat all you can and can what you can't".

I must say, the all natural, healthful vegetables coming out of this garden are absolutely delicious!!

Well worth the effort of growing one's own food.

And, meanwhile, we're keeping a close eye on the tropics as Tropical Storm Fred is heading to the U.S.

We'll be ready if needed!

So, here at the Retreat Cabin, life goes on and it is good.

I want you to know just how much I appreciate your prayer, love and support!!  THANK YOU!!

BIG LOU'S POND...

We're always working on projects here at the "Retreat Cabin".  Our latest....a new duck pond for Lou and his girls.

BTW, I'm feeling much better and want to THANK YOU for your prayers for healing from those nasty spider bites!

Still not up to traveling, but definitely getting better.  PRAISE GOD!

Because we're expecting some new arrivals...it's time give our ducks a new pond and yard.

So, I'll be digging the hole for new pond today.

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart...THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

SAM IS REAL!!

Cindy introduced Sam (from India) to the Little Mulberry Baptist Church yesterday morning.  This short video clip explains...."SAM IS REAL".

We all were blessed to hear Sam's presentation.

Sam did an amazing job of describing the conditions  in India and especially.... "Who are the Untouchables"?

We were all moved, some to tears.

Air Mobile has worked closely with Sam and his family for 7 years.

We love Sam and so appreciate his dedication and Love for our Lord Jesus!

Early this morning, we put Sam on a flight to Chicago where he will continue his outreach.

THANKS Sam for sharing this time with us.

And THANK YOU, all who ramble down this road of life with us.  We so appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

FRESH FIRE MOVEMENT...

Air Mobile was invited to a lovely Day in the Park in Knoxville.

The event, "FRESH FIRE MOVEMENT" brought together great preaching and music.

Our good friend and Brother in Christ, Mark Scarbrough, along with Pastors Gage & Jeremy Graham, arranged a great spot for us to set up the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier.

We had a steady flow of folks come by and see the remarkable Air Mobile Rescuer.

A perfect opportunity to RECRUIT Volunteers.

I love telling the story of how bringing CLEAN WATER to the THIRSTY opens amazing doors to share Christ.

It was great having Sam, from India with us.  Always a joy having Sam join us in ministry.

While I'm recovering from those nasty spider bites, Cindy, Sam and Ari did all of the "heavy lifting".

I was able to just sit and relax and tell our story of God's Amazing Grace in our lives.

It was a wonderful day at the park!!

This morning, Sam will be sharing his work in India with our Local Church, Little Mulberry Baptist.

We love Sam and his family.  Sam is a 4th generation Christian and loves the Lord with all of his heart!

Meanwhile, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support.  I'm definitely getting better from those spider bites!!

REMEMBERING LARRY....

Today will be the Memorial Service in Merritt Island, FL, for my dear friend and Brother-in- Christ, Larry Junker who passed away recently.

Here's more on my dear Brother - LARRY JUNKER MEMORIAL

I had planned to fly the Little Donkey down to Florida and be part of the Memorial Service but... wisdom says I should stay back and recover from those wicked spider bites.

Larry will be sorely missed by many and especially by his dear Ann (Precious wife of 66 years) and his children and grand children.

Our comfort is knowing that Larry is with our Lord Jesus.

And...THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

FRIENDS FROM AFAR

What a blessing!  Several days ago, Cindy picked up her Dad, Ron, who will spend some time with us.

And, yesterday, our dear friend and Brother in Christ, Sam from India, arrived here at the "Retreat Cabin".

Sam will be with us for several days.  So glad he's with us.

So, while I'm recovering from those wicked spider bites, it's nice to have friends from afar visiting.

Of course, I'm eager to get back in the air and bringing CLEAN WATER to the THIRSTY in the NAME OF JESUS!!

I should receive the biopsy report next week.  Still running a low fever and achy joints and headaches.  GOD'S GRACE is sufficient.

We're standing and believing God for complete HEALING!

THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

BIOPSY.....

bi·op·sy
bīˌäpsē/

noun
  1. an examination of tissue removed from a living body to discover the presence, cause, or extent of a disease.

Even though I want to GO....I'm being urged to STAY.

Yesterday, went to my Doctor regarding the on-going effects of the spider bites from 9 weeks ago (63 days!) while in Haiti.

This "mystery" infection is perplexing my medical team.  A Biopsy was taken and we'll get the results early next week.

This should give us more information, helping us to treat it more effectively.

Though I want to "launch" an Air Mobile mission, it is recommended that I postpone until the results of the biopsy comes back.

In the meantime, want you to know how much I appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

A GENTLE RAIN & A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST

Even though I'd like to head out on the "Next Mission", wisdom says...stay home and heal.

And what a lovely place to heal.  This morning there's a gentle rain here in the Smokies.  It's nice to just sit a while and enjoy it.

Our tomato crop this season is extraordinary.  Can't get over the harvest...and it just keeps coming.

This morning, Cindy is making tomato soup.....mmmmmm!

I'm scheduled to go back to the doctor today.  Remember those spider bites from Haiti 2 months ago?

Well, they're still causing trouble and the likely cause of the on-going low grade fever, headaches & sore joints.

Hopefully & prayerfully, we'll get some relief today.  As always, appreciate your prayer, love and support!!

In the meantime, I'll spend some time on the porch watching the gentle rain and Smokey Mountains.

HUMMERS & HARVEST

Sitting on the porch and simply enjoying life.

The humming birds provide a lovely aerial show.  So glad to have them back.

Can't get over the bountiful harvest.  Tomatoes are coming in and Cindy's already making  salsa.

Still dealing with a low grade fever and just not feeling well.

Will be getting some more blood work today.  Relieved and thankful it's not COVID-19.  Believing God for complete healing.

THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!!

HARVEST TIME.....

Our "Victory Garden" is producing amazing harvests.

The tomatoes are coming in along with cucumbers, melons, onions, garlic, beets and more.

Time to get out the canning jars and "lay up" some delicious, healthful food for later.  We're also sharing with our neighbors.

And....we still have a lot of good vegetables still growing in the ground, i.e. sweet potatoes, corn, blue berries and more.

We're so THANKFUL for these wonderful harvests!

GOD IS GOOD....ALL THE TIME!!

And, we're still moving toward our "Next Mission" of bringing CLEAN WATER to thirsty folks.

Here's a way that you can help, in memory of my dear Brother in Christ and friend, Larry Junker who passed away recently.

"GO FUND ME" IN HONOR OF LARRY JUNKER

Will let you know, as things develop toward LAUNCH!

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

NEGATIVE!!!

Usually, NEGATIVE is not a good word, but in the case of a medical test, i.e. COVID-19, it is a GOOD WORD.

Late yesterday evening the results came in....NEGATIVE!

The symptoms that I have, could have indicated COVID-19.

Now with that eliminated, we're looking at a tick bite and possible lyme disease.

At any rate....no matter what the malady, we serve a HEALING GOD!

Sure do appreciate your invaluable prayer, love and support!!
