24-HOUR STRAIGHT JOURNEY
Yesterday, Joe Prussel and I arrived at 6:15 AM Poland time, at the Warsaw Poland International Airport to begin the final phase of our Mission to Poland / Ukraine.
6:15 AM Poland time is Midnight Eastern U.S. time.
Note: I will not share certain details for security reasons and future missions to Ukraine.
The last 12 days have been filled with sadness & joy, great challenges and glorious victories. We have learned so much about how to get TO UKRAINE and especially, how to get INTO UKRAINE.
Here's how the last 24 hours unfolded. We boarded a 2 hour flight from Warsaw to Helsinki.
Then, the long 9+ hour flight from Helsinki to Chicago.
We arrived in Chicago to a "full house" (took hours to clear) at Immigration and as a result missed our flight from Chicago to Orlando.
Joe P. did some amazing shifting around to get us on a flight to Miami and then to Orlando.
Once in Orlando, Joe's wife, Lydia picked us up just after midnight and closed out the last 24 hours of travel.
We're up early this norning and I'll be packing our trusty Ford Escape for the 12 drive up to our "Retreat Cabin" in the mountains of East TN.
Looking foward to seeing my sweet Cindy, Ari and all of our critters.
Over the next few days, I'll be sharing more on this AMAZING MISSION TO POLAND / UKRAINE.
For now, it's time to pack-up and load-up and head to Tennessee!!

LEAVING WARSAW....FOR AMERICA
After a bumpy ride from Rzeszow, Poland to Warsaw (won't give details), we checked into our hotel directly across the street from the airport.
Today, our journey will take us from Warsaw to Helsinki then to Chicago then...Florida. It's going to be a long day of flying.
After landing in Florida, it will be the 12 hour drive to our "Retreat Cabin" in the mountains of East Tennessee and to my sweet Cindy.
Looking back on where we've just been brings sadness to my heart and a measure of joy knowing that we can help....even a little bit with some CLEAN WATER.
I can still hear the constant "click clack clatter" of the roller bags passing by with the look of confusion at being uprooted and the determination to escape and live.
For now, we'll leave the tradgedy and sadness behind to the relative peace found in America.
Yet, I believe that we will return to this "War Zone"....sooner than later as the need for CLEAN WATER only grows greater in this tragic war.
So THANKFUL to have laid out a path to return. We've learned so much on this mission.
Next time we come, we'll have a better idea as to how to navigate these dangerous roads to bring CLEAN WATER to the thirsty.
Well, it's time to pack up and head to the airport to continue the long journey home.

BEGINNING THE LONG JOURNEY HOME....
After deploying the last available (American Airlines lost 1) Air Mobile Rescuer, it is time to turn our eyes and hearts to home.
This has been an incredible mission filled with sadness, tragedy and unexpected joy and awesome love!
Yesterday evening, we departed our Border Town staging location and headed back to Rzeszow where we had found hotel rooms.
Nearly every room was booked but we managed to find a place to sleep every night of this journey.
Up early about the make the 4 hour drive to Warsaw where we will depart for home. We still have a lot of ground to cover, but our journey home has begun.
There is certain sadness and I have indelible images of "fleeing refugees", both the rich, the poor and all in between.
The images of hundreds of volunteers passing out hot soup and endless coffee and warm clothes for every size, medical care, toys for the kids and just plain, sweet love.
So many nations are involved in this, the largest movement of refugees since WWII.
Literally MILLIONS of Ukranians are being absorbed in a number of countries, but mainly in Poland.
I can't say enough about the heart and strength of the Polish people. This has been an incredible experience for me personally.
I must also mention Joe Prussel, an amazing "Water Mule".
Joe did it all. Arranged the flights, the Covid tests, the packing, the training and so much more. THANK YOU JOE!!
Along the way, we picked up Doug who came from Florida to help. Doug is helping us in so many ways.
We're already planning our next mission to Ukraine!
We're building 10 more Air Mobile Rescuers and will likely be returning in the next few weeks if not sooner.

3 MORE RESCUERS DEPLOYED!
Yesterday, we had the privilege to place 3 more Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers where operators who will then be headed into to active War Zone where clean water is desperately needed.
The first of three was placed with Brian of the United Sikhs.
This organization is doing an amazing job of assisting refugees fleeing the active War Zones.
Joe Prussel, who is an incredible "Water Mule", did a great job of training these Guys who are going deep into the War Zone.
Our next step was to cross into Ukraine again where we met with Centrum Pomocy Humanitarian. This group is doing a wonderful job with handling literaly THOUSANDS of Refugees.
Joe again, did the training for this group who expressed great interest in the amazing "Rescuer". We love training folks like this.
Because of the high volume of Refugees served, we donated a 2nd Rescuer to this organization.
Then, the 3rd unit deployed was to James who is heading East to the deep War Zone.
There, many are cut-off from sources of clean water in those regions.
WE PRAY FOR THOSE IN HARMS WAY!!
We PRAISE GOD for brave souls willing to risk all to help those in need!
Well, it's time for us head out into this day for our final "Rescuer" deployments.

INCREDIBLE STORIES INSIDE UKRAINE....
Yesterday, we had the privilege to train a high-level Operation Blessing Director who is serving in Ukraine. I will not give her name for her protection.
Yesterday morning, she and her interpreter drove in from Lviv in the midst of bombings on that Western city.
As we went over the operation of the Air Mobile Rescuer, she told us story after story about MIRACLES of God's Divine protection in Ukraine.
She told of a bomb that did not explode that landed in a Pastors house or Russian Soldiers who could not see (they were blinded) but were seen.
Russian tanks stopped dead in their tracks...and the stories went on and on regarding our Lord's MIRACULOUS intervention in so many Ukrainian lives.
Earlier, we had spoken with former Military officers who were volunteering in Ukraine and were absolutley astounded by the successes of the Ukrainian Army.... against impossible odds.
One retired U.S. Army Officer (a Tank Commander) simply said...."It doesn't add up".
I believe that God's Divine Intervention defies logic.
Many Ukrainians are still amazed that a former Comedian (President Zelensky) can lead one of the most "David against Goliath" stories in modern history.
At the end of the training on the Air Mobile Rescuer, we presented the donated unit to this brave Servant of Christ and she and her interpreter drove back into LVIV with bombs falling.
WE PRAY FOR THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE in the BATTLE OF THEIR LIVES!
Today, we will be training more "front-line" volunteers on the incredible Air Mobile Rescuer. They will then take the units back into ground zero of this terrible war and bring CLEAN WATER to the thirsty!
We PRAISE GOD for the privilege to be able to be here and bring relief to the suffering.

2 AIR MOBILE RESCUER DEPLOYMENTS....& A BIT OF JOY & LOVE IN THE MIDST OF TRAGEDY
We arrived at the Operation Blessing (OB) Poland Base yesterday morning for strategic meetings.
We met with Diego, the Poland Director of OB and came up with a plan to get the Air Mobile Rescuers into the hands of Ukranians deep in the War Zone.
The War is becoming increasingly more dangerous for Relief Workers to go into Ukraine. The best way to get the "Rescuers" into ground zero is by way of Ukranians.
Operation Blessing has multiple operations deep into Ukraine.
Today, one of the embedded OB Dirctors will be coming into Poland to receive training and an Air Mobile Rescuer.
PRAISE GOD!!
While at OB HQ, I was very glad to meet John Conway of Water Mission, a great humanitarian organization bringing CLEAN WATER around the world.
When I showed John the Air Mobile Rescuer...."he got it"! There is a need to get CLEAN WATER flowing IMMEDIATELY after any disaster and the "Rescuer" can certainly do the job!
We agreed to donate a "Rescuer" to Water Mission for immediate deployment into some of the greatest "Hot Zones".
So pleased to have met John and have the opportunity to work with Water Mission!
Received a little medical care from an OB Doctor. My knee was giving me fits and the good Doctor wrapped it and gave me some good medication. THANK YOU DOC!!
After the OB Meetings, Joe, Doug and I headed back to the Border Crossing.
As we approached the entrance, the air was filled with lovely music....
As we left the Poland side of the Border Crossing, we enjoyed another moment of musical joy from our incredible pianist.

Well, today, we're heading back to Operation Blessing to train another "Rescuer Operator".
Only our Lord knows what our next steps will be, but.....we're holding tightly to His Hand!!

CROSSING OVER....INTO UKRAINE!
Yesterday, we arrived at the Operation Blessing Operations Center and met Operations Manager Diego.
We also met with Opertion Blessing's Water Engineers, Ignacio and Jose'.
We then proceeded to the Border Crossing between Poland and Ukraine.
At the Border crossing area, there is a constant flow of refugees coming through. Each refugee has a sad and tragic story. We PRAY for them!!
We discussed the current need for Clean Water into isolated and bombed out areas of Ukrain.
Filip recognized what we had and IMMEDIATELY escorted us to the Polish / Ukraine Border crossing.
Standing on the Polish / Ukraine Border, the goal of this mission to bring CLEAN WATER INTO UKRAINE was about to become a reality.
Folks, your PRAYER & GENEROSITY has made this dream a REALITY!
Soon, we were being escorted to the Polish / Ukraine Border Crossing by Filip of IOM. PRAISE GOD FOR OPEN DOORS!
We were CLEARED and CROSSED into UKRAINE!
PRAISE GOD!!
Within minutes of crossing into Ukraine, we had found an organization that was working with War Refugees and needed an Air Mobile Rescuer immediately.
Today, we'll be heading back to the Border Crossing and seeing where our Lord will lead us next.

MEETINGS AT THE "BORDER".....PATRIOTS ALONG THE WAY
This morning, we'll drive to the Poland / Ukraine Border for meetings with other Humanitarian Groups.
We'll get invaluable intel and will discuss the best ways to get into Ukraine to bring CLEAN WATER where desperately needed.
Along the way toward the Poland / Ukraine Border, we saw a huge battery of U.S. Patriot Missiles aimed and ready for any Russian attack.
This build-up of Patriots must be part of a NATO operation.
Again, we PRAY for PEACE to PREVAIL!!
Well, it's time to hit the road and head for the "Border Meetings".
It is so important that we get accurate and clear information before we attempt to go into Ukraine.

AIR MOBILE ON THE MOVE....
Last night, the news came, from the airline, that the missing container of supplies along with the 10th Air Mobile Rescuer has been found and on it's way Poland to our waiting hands!
That "found" container has critical instruments vital to our mission.
We're now able to head closer to the Poland / Ukraine Border.
During the time of waiting for our critical 10th bag to arrive, we've been able gain a tremendous amount of knowledge regarding the situation at the border and beyond.
It is complicated and dangerous and ever-changing. Today, we'll leave our temporary "Base" in Poland and move closer to the boundary between Poland and Ukraine.

SEARCH....FOR THE "RESCUER"....
We are still in pursuit of the lost bag. Joe Prussel and I spent the day working with the airlines to get that lost bag back.
That bag has critical components in it for our operation.
Fortunately, it has been located (in Miami) and now, it's just a matter of getting the stations to talk together and just get it here in our hands.
In the meantime, we've been making some great connections and pieces are coming together.
However, from our staging location in Poland, there is evidence everywhere of the millions of Ukranians seeking refuge from the war zone.
Rental cars are nearly impossible to find and all of the systems are stressed to the max.
We see evidence of the Polish people reaching out to their Ukranians neighbors with great love and compassion.
Now, here's a story.....Let me tell you about Doug from Merritt Island, FL. Doug had come to Poland to help the Ukranians. His mission was about over and he was scheduled to fly home.
We met and soon realized that Doug could be of great help to us. He postponed his flight home and joined our team.
Again, this brings me back to the wise words of my first Pastor from 50 years ago.....
"Son, don't forget, God knows how to deploy His troops!!
That lost bag is being used by our Lord for His purposes!
So, today, the pursuit goes on and we're marching in obedience to His call.

9 AIR MOBILE RESCUERS IN POLAND....1 MISSING
Our journey to Poland / Ukraine began in Orlando on Saturday night.
We then flew to Miami and then to Helsinki and last night we landed in Poland on Sunday evening!!
PRAISE GOD!!
We believe we have located the missing Rescuer. It may still be in Miami.
Today, we'll be working with the airlines to get that unit sent to Poland Pronto!!
After landing last night (Poland is 5 hours ahead of Eastern U.S. time), Joe and I sat down to a delicious and a non rushed meal.
Had a good nights sleep and up early writing this "rambling blog".
We'll be making many calls today following up on the contacts we've been developing for the last few weeks.
We're so glad to be here in Poland, on the door step of Ukraine!

12 HOURS LATER....FLORIDA
We bid farewell to Christian, our son and his lovely family and then "hit the road".
Made the trip from Tennessee to Florida without incident. Have the 10 Air Mobile Rescuers ready to fly to Poland.
Now, we must convince the airline to allow us to bring in "luggage" that is slightly over-size and slightly over-weight. We PRAY for GRACE!!
We'll plan to arrive at the airport way early to allow the processing of getting those 10 Air Mobile Rescuers on-board our flight to Poland.

As we watched President Zelensky address the U.S. Congress yesterday, our hearts were moved by the urgent needs and the courage of the Ukranian people.
These people are fighting for their lives and .... THEY ARE WINNING!!

MARCHING ON.....
As we approach our departure date of 3-19-22 for Poland / Ukraine, pieces are continuing to come together. PRAISE GOD!!
And....I'm very pleased to say that we now have 4 units funded!! 4 DOWN, 6 TO GO!!
Please continue to PRAY that all funding for this mission will come before departure.
It's wonderful having them here while we're preparing to go to the Ukraine.
As we watch the news from Ukraine, our hearts break for the needless suffering and carnage of the Ukraine people. WE PRAY FOR THEM!!

STEP BY STEP....DESTINATION: UKRAINE
Pieces are coming together for our upcoming mission to Poland and then (with God's help) into Ukraine.
Had put in a call to the Polish Embassy in Washington yesterday with a critical question...not knowing if we'd hear back.
Literally within minutes, got a return call and the answer we were looking for to continue to move forward. PRAISE GOD!!

VICIOUS....
The world is seeing Russian cruelty & brutality...that is beyond belief.
It appears to be not only indescriminent bombing, but actually targeted bombing of hospitals and other innocent targets.
As Kyiv and other major cities are being cut-off and choked and bombed, the urgency of getting help where needed is more vital than ever.
Air Mobile is moving ahead toward launching a mission to bring CLEAN WATER where desperately needed.
Today, a local reporter is visiting the Air Mobile base here in Tennessee to see our progress toward getting Air Mobile Rescuers ready for action.

SITUATION: CRITICAL - RUSSIA MOVING TOWARD KYIV
Supplies are running out / medicine / food / clean water!
Our Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers can take the dirtiest water and make it clean.
We're getting ready to GO! Have some details to work out, but....looks like Air Mobile is moving toward Ukraine.
Our goal will be to bring in at least 10 Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers.
Imagine having 10 portable "Water Treatment Plants" to take the dirty water and make it very clean!!
Each unit can give 1000 people per day clean water...10 X 1000= 10,000 people! PRAISE GOD!!
This shot was taken in Peru with 10 units running simultaneaously.
We plan to fly into Poland and then work our way as close to Ukraine as we can get.
At this time, we do not have a single unit funded and would like to ask you to join us in prayer for full funding. Each unit cost $3,000.00.

As I hear stories of tragedy, courage and Ukrainians standing up to the 3rd largest Army in the world....I cry.
At the same time, hearing stories of literally millions of Ukrainians who are lacking CLEAN WATER, my heart breaks.
Folks, we're reaching out to multiple relief organizations to see if we can help.
Of course, the situation is extremely fluid and dangerous. We are standing by and ready to help.

BOMBING A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT.....MADNESS!!
Cindy and I were shocked last night to see the flames and Russian bombs falling on the largest Nuclear Power Plant in all of Europe and one of the largest in the world.
This is a threat to all of Europe and the world.
WHAT MADNESS!!!
Of course, the images of the indiscriment bombing of civilian targets is just heart-breaking!
May our Lord have His Way with this Despot (Putin)!
Folks, I'm 71 years old and have NEVER seen such a threat to the entire globe.
As never before, we must PRAY for our Lord's will to be done.
