THIRSTY

When was the last time you were thirsty?  Now, I don't mean like driving down I-95 and realizing that you forgot to bring a bottle of water with you.  

You can just pull into the next exit and buy one or two bottles of drinking water at one of several convenience stores. 

No, I'm talking about being really thirsty.  I recall when Cindy and I were leading a team to bring in life-saving water purifiers on Nias Island, Indonesia following the deadly Boxing Day Tsunami.  

We had deployed all of our Rescuer Water Purifiers and hiked back to the landing zone where we were waiting for a U.N. helicopter to pick us up and fly us back to the Mainland.

Our whole team was extremely thirsty. Several of us were on the border-line of "heat Stroke".  

Then, like an epiphany, we saw coconuts hanging over our head.  We sent a young Indonesian boy shinnying up the tree and throwing down a coconut for each team member. 

I so well recall how delicious and satisfying was that coconut milk.  A little while later, the UN MI-8 landed and brought us bring us back to the mainland.

  

Now, just imagine how many millions around the world lack clean drinking water.

SUCH A SIMPLE THING...

Just imagine this; we can go to the Creator of the universe, Who loves us dearly, and ask Him for Wisdom & Guidance!  What an amazing thing.

Every day, we face choices; some simple and easy and others complicated with deep implications and all that's in between.

Again, all we have to do is ask Jesus for Wisdom and He is glad to give it to us.  

Again, all we have to do is ASK!!  Remember Matthew 7:7...ASK & YOU SHALL RECEIVE!

I don't know what you may be facing today, but I can tell you this, Jesus is there with you, and He has all the Wisdom you will ever need.

I PRAY that this bit of Godly advice will make your day go better.  

I can assure you, that Cindy and I are leaning heavily upon our Lord Jesus to guide us and lead us each step of this day...that our Lord has made!

 NAVIGATING THROUGH LIFE WITH THE WISDOM OF GOD

I love matching the day with the Proverb.  

Today is the 4th, so I'm reading and studying Proverbs 4. 

In Proverbs 4:7, King Solomon urges us to seek God's Wisdom and get Understanding. Wisdom is the principal thing.

 

If we lack wisdom, and we all do, James 1:5 tells us where to find it.  

ASK GOD & HE WILL GIVE YOU ABUNDANT WISDOM!

As we navigate through life, may we do so with God's Wisdom.

May you be BLESSED today with God's Wisdom, Understanding and Guidance.

Yesterday, Cindy and I did major work on Storm Dancers.  As we read chapters to one another, the tears flowed freely.  

We can hardly wait to get this amazing "testimony" of God's awesome grace into your hands.

On this rainy Sunday, here in the lovely mountains of East TN, we're taking the day OFF and resting and taking it easy.

NOT CRYING WOLF....

When an 8.8 Earthquake strikes, we assume it's going to be BAD!  After all, this earthquake was the 6th most powerful earthquake in modern history.  

In the case of the Russian 8.8 earthquake, it is best to have your escape plan ready and know where and how to get to HIGH GROUND!

Think about this - IS THE 8.8 RUSSIAN EARTHQUAKE A WAKE-UP CALL FOR US?

So, don't feel bad, if you got into high gear and even moved to Higher Ground.  It's not "Crying Wolf", to heed the warnings.  

Here are some interesting thoughts regarding this recent 8.8 earthquake - NOT CRYING WOLF...

In other words, if we err on any side, err on the evacuate side.  We all recall the horror and tragedy of what happened in the "Camp Mystic Flood".

Now, as you know, Air Mobile is all about getting CLEAN WATER where desperately needed.

 OVER A CUP OF COFFEE..

Cindy and I both love coffee. Often, in the early hours, over coffee, we discuss our plans for the day.  

This also leads to "where is our next mission"?  A lot can happen over a cup of coffee. 

Cindy is always reminding me that we don't necessarily need to wait for a natural disaster to deploy, such as an earthquake or hurricane or tsunami or war & and the list goes on and on.

There are literally millions of locations around the world for us to bring in CLEAN WATER & the GOOD NEWS of JESUS.

We're currently looking toward Africa and fully realize that the lack of CLEAN WATER is a MAJOR PROBLEM all throughout Africa.  

 We recently received a plea for help from a small village in Uganda. They are desperate for CLEAN WATER.  

And the rural areas of South Africa are in the worst water crisis ever.  We're already scheduled to go to South Africa in early October for our dear friend, Garrett Scarborough's wedding.

These are perfect scenarios where the Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purifier can IMMEDATELY begin saving lives.

NO RECORDED DEATHS FROM 8.8 QUAKE...PRAISE GOD!!

We are THANKFUL that this massive Quake (the 6th most powerful in recorded history) did not do more damage and that no lives were lost.  We are grateful!!

In the meantime, it is a good time to evaluate where we are in regard to PREPARING for disasters that lie ahead.  It is not of matter of IF, but WHEN they will come.

Remember the Words of Jesus in Matthew 24...there will be EARTHQUAKES in diverse places.

You might want to do an Emergency Evaluation where you live.

Meanwhile, life goes on.  We seek His direction for this day that our Lord has made!

8.8 QUAKE...A WAKE-UP CALL

The 8.8 Russia Earthquake is recorded as the sixth most powerful quake in modern history.

As soon as it hit, yesterday evening, I quickly began looking at our own EMERGENCY supplies and equipment and our current inventory of Air Mobile Rescuers in stock.  

This is an excellent "Wake-up call" TO BE PREPARED!

Here is the latest: HUGE QUAKE ROCKS RUSSIA'S FAR-EAST TRIGGERING TSUNAMI WARNINGS AROUND THE PACIFIC

We are monitoring this situation very closely and are prepared to GO if need be. Join us in prayer for our Lord's guidance!
