THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES.....SEPTEMBER 2015

9-30-15 Wednesday 7:37AM (Eastern U.S. Time) - Mountains of East Tennessee - Air Mobile Retreat Cabin - Report submitted by: Air Mobile Joe

TRACKING JOAQUIN....SHADES OF SANDY??

There's a Hurricane, by the name of Joaquin, brewing off of the East Coast of the U.S. and forecasters are a bit perplexed.

Right now, the Bahamas are being battered with heavy rains and high winds.  Joaquin has just hung around and strengthened to Hurricane strength and now is just "wobbling" a bit.  The Computer Models are "all over the map".

That's what makes it hard to forecast.  You can see from the "projected" cone, that Joaquin could follow a similar path as Sandy (she was a "bad girl"!)  Here's more - JOAQUIN BECOMES HURRICANE; HURRICANE WATCHES/WARNINGS ISSUED FOR THE BAHAMAS

BTW, take a look at where Joaquin began and how it just meandered down to the southwest and now, it's making it's turn north.  This one is truly challenging to project, so best keep a close eye on Joaquin!

It's looks our "Hurricane Drought" may be coming to an end.  We certainly pray for all in Joaquin's path!!

NOW is a very good time to PREPARE!  You'll never go wrong getting some extra stuff....just in case.  Make sure you have a good Checklist.  I just came across this one from the Red Cross (it's a good one) and I'd like to share it with you - HURRICANE SAFETY CHECK LIST

What you DON'T WANT to be doing is trying to find some supplies when the shelves are empty.  Remember the Parable of the 10 Virgins.

5 were wise (because they bought oil when the "stores" were open and it was readily available) and 5 were foolish (they waited to the last minute).  This is a great Parable and has a lot of truth!!

Likewise, it's time for Air Mobile to pull the pieces together for some more Rescuers.  We may be needing them here in the U.S.  We're also monitoring the Bahamas, as they're getting hammered right now.  Please remember them in your prayer!!

Glad for a solid internet connection here at the cabin (our Remote Command Center).  We'll continue to track Hurricane Joaquin and plan accordingly.

As always, THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!!

THE DAY AFTER..."THE DAY AFTER"

Politics as usual, accusations flying, moral decline, global markets "plunging".  Yes, life goes on and so do we.

Somehow, I feel as if mankind crossed over a threshold with this last "Blood Moon".

Things will happen that have been spoken of many years ago.  The question is, "What will we do"?  As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

As we watch world events unfold, keep your Bible handy and see how prophesies are being fulfilled right before our eyes.

What a wonderful time to be alive!  I am reminded of John 16:33!

I am also reminded that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us.  Hang on to Jesus!!

Cindy and I are more determined than ever to do what we can, while we can. We're working diligently toward helping folks who are hungry and thirsty.

Jesus tells us that when He returns, He will speak.  Listen to some of the first Words that He will say...."I was hungry and you gave Me to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me to drink.....when you've done it unto the least of these, my brethren, you've done it unto Me"  (Matthew 25:35-40)

Please pray about joining together with us in, "Hunger is not a Game".  We're reaching out to the starving and the thirsty. Here's how you can help - HUNGER IS NOT A GAME

Many of you have walked down this road with us for years.  We're so appreciative to you for your invaluable and vital prayer, love and support.  THANK YOU!!

THE "DAY AFTER"

All is quiet, after the 4th Blood Moon.  Were you able to see it last night?  When the glorious event began, there were spotty cloud layers here.

I just sat and patiently watched and slowly, it cleared up.  It was peaceful and beautiful.  Couldn't help but think where I might be when the next one occurs in 2033...

And, as Cindy and I suspected....life goes on.  Neither of us thought..."The world would come to an end".   I do believe, however, it is a good thing to "Pause & Look-up" to the Creator of the universe.  Our hope and prayer is that many around the world did just that.

For you see, Jesus is standing at our door and knocking...if anyone hears His voice and opens the door, Jesus will come in and sup with them (Revelation 3:20).  Oh, folks, the world needs Jesus!!

In addition to working on our next book, "Dances with Storms", been doing some good "connecting" here at the cabins.  Have a final project of placing a larger propane tank between the "Main Cabin" and the "Little Cabin".

Will be trenching and laying-in coated copper pipe to connect the two cabins together.  Weather forecasters are expecting a pretty harsh winter.  The propane is good for cooking and heating, as well as to run a propane generator (that we've yet to find).

So THANKFUL for answered prayer.  Both of my knees are healing beautifully.  Taking it easy for a few days helped, but your prayers truly worked!

Have also been having some communication difficulties up here at the cabin.  Our "land-line" just goes out from time to time (and my cell phone does not work at all).

So, if you've been trying to get in touch with me, it's been a bit challenging.  The best way to reach me up here is by e-mail ( airmobilejoe@gmail.com).

Late yesterday evening, the "land-line" came back alive and Cindy & I were able to talk during the "Super Blood Moon".  She too had an overcast sky, down in Florida, and couldn't see the spectacular eclipse at all.

Meanwhile, Cindy has been diligently putting the pieces together to get food to some starving children in India...and beyond.

Be sure to check out "Hunger is not a Game" on Cindy's Facebook! Here's the link - HUNGER IS NOT A GAME!

It's time to get the shovel and the pick ax and begin the trenching.  As always, THANK YOU for your greatly treasured prayer, love and support!!

IS GOD TRYING TO GET OUR ATTENTION??

If an extraordinary series of celestial events, such as these Four Blood Moons, all occurring on specific Jewish Feasts, causes one to look up to heaven and ask that question, then PRAISE GOD!

I do believe that our Lord is reaching out to mankind because He loves mankind.  I know this because He first loved me and gave Himself for me.

One can argue with that, but since it happened to me, all of the argument in the world will not change my mind.  I am loved by God and I love Him!

My friend, I also want you to know that God loves you, more than you could ever imagine!  This Scripture bears repeating...."For God so loved the world...."

So, this evening, an amazing event will occur in the heavens, the 4th Blood Moon.  On the U.S. East Coast, it will occur around 10:47PM*.  I'll be out gazing and pondering the wonder of our Lord!

BTW, the Blood Moon this evening will appear to be larger and brighter than usual, as it is a "SUPER BLOOD MOON".  Here's more from NASA - SUPER "BLOOD" MOON ACCORDING TO NASA

Here's more on the Blood Moons, as explained by Pastor Mark Biltz, the one who "uncovered" these remarkable series of events - EVERYWHERE YOU TURN, PEOPLE SEEKING "SIGNS" OR "SIGNALS"

So, on this beautiful Sunday morning, I'm getting ready to go to Church.  This is a precious gift, in and of itself.  Many around the world do not have this privilege.  May we be ever thankful, to be able to gather in the Name of Jesus and worship Him!

As always, THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!  Be sure to take a look up in the sky this evening and see the wonder of God!

A RAINY DAY IN TENNESSEE

There is something comforting and peaceful about a gentle rain.  So it is this morning, at the cabin in the mountains of East Tennessee.

Furthermore, there is something magically wonderful about a gentle rain on a tin roof.

Add in a delicious cup of coffee and the Word of God....ahhhh, it doesn't get much better than this.

This morning, in my devotion, I turned to John 14....."Let not your heart be troubled...."

The presence of the Lord Jesus is so real, I offered Him a cup of coffee.  You know, he made that wonderful "bean" and gave it as a  gift to His children.  Thank you, Jesus!!

OK, I'll admit that I do feel a bit guilty about having this awesome time alone with the Lord at the cabin.  Sometimes, He just opens the windows of heaven and pours us out a blessing so great...it's difficult to receive it all.

So, instead of feeling guilty, I'll just enjoy it.  There will be plenty of time to work, but there are times of sweet rest.  Such is this time for me.

There's also some pretty good football today.  I'll be able to watch my beloved LSU Tigers take on Syracuse a bit later.

Just a reminder to keep an eye on that moon.  Tomorrow evening, there will be a SUPER BLOOD MOON!  Wow, that is going to be spectacular and an awesome, rare historical celestial event.

Is our Lord giving us a sign?  I certainly believe that He is.  He loves us and wants the best for us. Remember these Words...."For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son...."

If you don't know Him and would like to....there is no better time than right now.  Open your heart and ask Him to come in and take over.  He will and you'll never regret it!!

Have a blessed day!  And...THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING!!

Just wanted to let you know that your prayers are working! When I injured my knees in an unfortunate fall (missed that last step) on Tuesday, I recalled how a similar injury caused me great pain for months.

Well, the swelling has gone down and the pain is almost non-existent.  I believe that "taking it easy" for a few days has been very helpful also.  At any rate, I'm still "throttled back" and will allow the good healing to continue for a bit longer.

Yesterday, I followed the news very closely.  Was pleased to hear that Pope Francis did, in a sideways way, refer to the horror of abortion in the statement of  "To protect human life at every stage of it's development". - POPE FRANCIS SAID THAT "EVERY LIFE IS SACRED" - BUT, HE LEFT THIS "WORD" OUT OF HIS HISTORIC SPEECH TO CONGRESS

Later, among the Bishops, he did use the "A" word.  Was glad to hear that.

The Pope then traveled to New York on a chartered American Airlines 777, temporarily named "Shepherd One".  Will be praying for his protection and for our Lord to use him for His glory!!

Must also tell you that that this little "rest" has allowed me to concentrate more fully on "Storm Dancer".  Had a bit of a break-through in my writing yesterday.  Cindy and I speak every day and she is urging me to stay a bit longer and let the "writing flow".  I praise God for Cindy and her support!!

Cindy has also been working diligently on our newest Project:  "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME".  To learn more about this great effort, go to: HUNGER IS NOT A GAME!!  Be sure to check it out!!

We bring water to the thirsty and now, being able to bring in food also is a great blessing!  Very thankful for our good partnership with "Deliver the Difference" and my good friend, Bob Bostic.  To learn more about this great ministry, go to:  "DELIVER THE DIFFERENCE"

Onward with my writing on "Storm Dancer".  As always, THANK YOU for your precious and truly, greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

CLIMATE CHANGE???? - & AIR MOBILE LAUNCHES NEW CAMPAIGN - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME"!

I must admit, it was disappointing to hear the Pope address "Climate Change" and not a word about abortion, Christian persecution and other social issues while at the White House.

Well, there's still time to discuss these vital topics and I do hope that the Pope addresses them!  Here's more - POPE BACKS CLIMATE CHANGE AT WH EVENT - AVOIDS SOCIAL ISSUES

Now, I must tell you our own position on "Climate Change".  We believe that our Lord has called us to be good stewards of the earth.  We should take care of this planet to the best of our ability.

Our Company, Cartridge Source of America has made significant contributions toward protecting our environment.  Every toner cartridge re-manufactured  keeps 3 quarts of oil out of the landfill and that is good.  Air Mobile cleans up dirty water and that too is good.  However...I DO NOT PUT THAT ABOVE THE LIFE OF A BABY!!

Today, Pope Francis will address Congress.  It will be interesting to see what he says.  I certainly hope he deals with the moral issues that are tearing our country apart!!

I am THANKFUL that the Pope's visit, thus far, has been free from safety issues.  Let's PRAY that his visit here goes without incident!

Today, Air Mobile has launched our latest campaign, "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME".  In addition to bringing clean water to the thirsty, Air Mobile is committed to bringing food to the hungry.

After our latest visit to India, we knew that we had to do something about the starving people of the world.  We're beginning in India and beyond.  Here's the link to our latest Air Mobile Newsletter explaining more - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME"!!

You may recall, on our latest mission to Dominica, we were able to bring in 4 Air Mobile Rescuers for clean water and over 2000 meals provided by Bob Bostic of "Deliver the Difference".  We're so thankful for this partnership!!

So, today, I'm still "nursing" those bum knees and the rest is really helping a lot.  I'll just take it easy for a bit longer and allow good healing to take place.  THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!!

THE LAST STEP...WAS IN THE SHADOW

Knowing that my time at the cabin is drawing to a close, I was in a whirlwind effort to get as many projects done as possible.

I needed something upstairs and was "racing" down the spiral staircase when....I missed the last step and came crashing down in heap.

As I lay on the floor, asking our Lord to take away the pain, I noticed why I missed that last step.  It was hidden in the shadow.

It was late afternoon with the sun shining on the step before that last one and I had my sunglasses on to make the visibility even worse.

That last step was all but invisible. "Watch out for that last step".

All of my projects (chores) have come to an end for a while.  I called my Cindy and asked the best way to treat this.  Her simple and effective answer....ICE & PRAYER!

The fall hurt both of my knees so, with 3 baggies full of ice and my knees squeezed between them, the therapy has begun.

Cindy is, as usual, right!  The ice helped to bring the swelling down and I had a reasonably good nights sleep.  The Advil didn't hurt either.

So, today, all of those last minute projects have been put on hold and I believe that this will be one of my best days of "Writing"!  You see, all of those "never-ending" chores kept keeping me so busy, that the writing had taken a back seat to everything else.

I'm reminded of when Jacob "wrestled" with that angel and threw his hip out.  Sure did slow that rascal down.  Mmmmm, I should take a lesson.

Today, the world is watching as Pope Francis prepares to go to the White House.

I couldn't help but notice what kind of vehicle transported the Pope from the airport....A Fiat 500+.  The little Fiat stood in stark contrast to the entourage of Suburbans.

It will be very interesting to see what Pope Francis has to say to the American people.  I will certainly be listening.

I pray for both his safety as well as the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  May the Pope speak the message that our Lord Jesus would have him to speak on this Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).

So, today, I am "SOMEWHAT IMMOBILE JOE", instead of  "AIR MOBILE JOE".  Time to do some serious writing and I'll be following the news as the day unfolds.  As always, THANK YOU for your so greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

COUNTDOWN

Tomorrow Pope Francis visits the White House.  This is an historic visit and much will be discussed.  Let us pray for the Pope's safety and that the conversations will be directed by the Lord!

My Cindy and Olivia will be traveling from Houston to Florida today.  Let's pray that they have a safe journey home. They've had an amazing visit with Sam from India.

Together, we're working on bringing food to the hungry and clean water to the thirsty.  Praise God for strategic partnerships!!  We're working together on a new outreach titled "Hunger is not a game"!

Meanwhile, I'm making slow, but steady progress on "Dances with Storms".  Sometimes, one must just slug through the writing "doldrums" and keep plugging away.

Pastor Dan did arrive yesterday and did a great job of connecting all the appliances to run our little cabin on propane gas.

We had a great time working together and wandering into multiple Biblical discussions about the Second Coming and the Amazing Grace of God!  We love Dan and we're so thankful that our Lord directed us to his Church here in Tennessee.

In checking the Global Market this morning, U.S. stocks are taking a triple digit plunge as, according to analysts, "The Market is gripped with fear".  Here's more - DOW PLUNGES TRIPLE DIGITS

This is certainly is a "Roller Coaster".  All the more reason to put our trust in the Lord.  "God has not given us the spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind!"

So, today, will be continuing on my "writing" and doing little projects around the cabin.

Just spoke to my Cindy and she and Olivia are at the airport and getting ready to board their flight home.  We're praying that all goes well and they have a smooth and uneventful flight (the kind that I love!)

As always, THANK YOU for standing with us with your invaluable love, prayer and support!!

A WEEK FROM TODAY....

For the last 2 years, I've been sharing various information about the 4 Blood Moons.  A week from today, we will experience our 4th and final Blood Moon in this Tetrad (4 Blood Moons in a row).

This phenomenon is spectacular and the odds of these Blood Moons occurring on Jewish Feasts is truly astronomical.  Here's a good comprehensive synopsis - "SUPER BLOOD MOON" OFF THE CHARTS!!

In addition to the article above, I'm including another article that points out that Orthodox Jews, along with Evangelical Christians and Messianic Jews are seeing the Blood Moons as very significant.  So, here's the other article for the "Scholars" reading this meandering "blog" - ORTHODOX JEWS SEE "BLOOD MOONS" AS BIG DEAL!

Now, Cindy and I DO NOT believe that the world is going to come to an end on September 28th.  However....we do believe that GOD CONTROLS the fate of nations and is in CONTROL. He does speak to us through signs and wonders.  Could these Blood Moons be a SIGN from God?  Absolutely!

Another amazing phenomenon is occurring during this time, the end of the Shemitah.  It's interesting that for the last few months, world markets have been shaking.  Here's some more information - MARKETS TUMBLING IN SHEMITAH'S WAKE

It is also quite interesting that Pope Francis will be visiting the White House on Yom Kippur (Wednesday, September 23rd).  Not sure what that means, but will be following his visit carefully and listening to what he has to say.

Again, I share these things with you so that you can look into them yourself.  I guarantee, you won't find this information on the "Main Stream Media".  These are matters that we should PRAY ABOUT!

Folks, these "Signs" point to the Second Coming of Jesus!  This is not something to fear, but something in which to REJOICE!  All I can say is...."Come quickly Lord Jesus".  The world needs Jesus!

Cindy and I are busy preparing for our "next mission" bringing life and hope to the down-trodden and desperate.  Now is the time to work for the Lord bringing GOOD NEWS to the world!

Today, our Tennessee Pastor, Dan, will be coming to the cabin helping me to "plumb in" a propane gas connection to our little cabin.  It's always good to be with Dan.  We end up discussing Jesus and His Second Coming a lot.  But first, we've got to get that cabin "plumbed in".

So, keep an eye on the "Signs" and above all, look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith!  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

WHERE DOES OBAMA STAND ON SAVING THE LIVES OF BORN BABIES WHO SURVIVE ABORTION???

Folks, I had to follow up on my story from yesterday on "Born Alive Infants".  So, the question of where does the President of the United States of America stand is offered.  It is clear...it is NOT with the babies!

Just take a look at this article and judge for yourself - OBAMA VOWS TO VETO BILL HOLDING PLANNED PARENTHOOD LIABLE FOR HARVESTING ABORTED BABIES STILL ALIVE!!

PLEASE take a few moments and read this article, as it clearly SHINES THE LIGHT on this horrifying practice.  WE MUST TAKE A STAND!!

All I can do this morning, as I write this blog, is PRAY that our eyes will be opened and that we will see this for what it is and that we will REPENT and CHANGE.

Let us PRAY that enough Legislators from BOTH SIDES of the aisle will rally for the BABIES and over-ride any VETO from Obama!

I know that for many, this is an extremely uncomfortable subject, but if we just sweep it under the rug or ignore it or pretend it's not happening, then this terrible practice will go on.

I THANK GOD for the folks at the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) who made these videos.  Otherwise, many of us would still be in the "dark" as to what is happening.

Now, I've said this many times and will say it again....OUR PRAYERS ARE POWERFUL because the NAME OF JESUS is ABOVE EVERY NAME!  So, again, this morning, I urge you join together with me in PRAYER that eyes will opened and that hearts will be touched and that this terrible practice will come to an end.

Again, had to get this off my chest today.  Thanks for bearing with me.  Yesterday, I had a visit from a dear friend, Bob.  Have known Bob for many years.

Bob is a serious student of the Word of God.  Our main topic of study yesterday was, "The Second Coming of Jesus".

We compared notes and went to the Word, and looked at the "Headlines" from the upcoming visit by the Pope to the U.S. and the upcoming 4th Blood Moon and the earthquakes....and the list goes on and on.  At the end of our visit, we prayed together and asked our Lord to use us for His glory in the days ahead.

Time to head to church this morning.  Again, THANK YOU for meandering down this path of life with us.  Above all, THANK YOU for you prayer, love and support!!

IS THE "HOUSE" COMING ALIVE???

Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives Voted to pass a bill that would temporarily "Defund" Planned Parenthood (PP) while an investigation is being conducted regarding selling baby parts.  The vote:  241-187.

This is the result of the recent Videos that expose the grotesque brutality of abortion.  Praise God for the videos.  Here's more - HORRIFIC VIDEOS PUSH GOP TO STRIP PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF FUNDS

The House also voted on another Bill that "Makes killing a born baby (that survives abortion) murder".  It too passed: 248-177.  The incredible thing is that 177 voted AGAINST this bill.  Folks, the light is shining on this terrible page in our history.

Representative Trent Franks (the Bill's Author) makes a compelling case to save the lives of these precious babies!  Here's more - 177 HOUSE MEMBERS VOTED AGAINST BILL "KILLING A BORN BABY MURDER"!!

Here's Congressman Frank's actual speech REP. TRENT FRANKS SPEECH

Yes, it does appear as if the House is coming alive (& getting a backbone)!  I distinctly recall when Presidential Candidate Carly Fiorino challenged both Hillary and Obama to watch those tapes.  I wonder if the Obama's watched them??

Hillary responded to Carly's challenge.  I'm not surprised at the twists and turns.  Again, how can one justify killing babies and selling their body parts??

Here's Hillary's response - WATCH HILLARY'S ANSWER WHEN ASKED TO RESPOND TO CARLY'S 'DARE' TO VIEW PLANNED PARENTHOOD VIDEOS

Here's Carly's simple response....

There you have it.  Yes, the Character of our country is in question.  May our Lord have mercy on us and may we change the direction of our country.  May our leaders gain the courage to stand up for the innocent and defenseless and stop this horror of abortion.

Today, I have a dear friend, Bob, coming up to the cabin.  We'll be studying the Bible and going over Scriptures regarding the Second Coming of Jesus, a subject that I love!  Looking forward to the fellowship.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

PLEASE PRAY FOR MY CINDY - I'VE SEEN A LOT OF CLOUDS BUT.....

I have some sad news to report.  My dear Cindy lost her brother, Brett, yesterday.  Please remember Cindy and our family in your prayers.  THANK YOU!

Over the many years that I've flown airplanes, have been an avid "Cloud Watcher".  Mainly because clouds tell a whole lot about the weather and what lies ahead for the journey.

I've seen so many extraordinary cloud formations but....Never seen anything like this.

Here's the actual footage taken in Costa Rica - MYSTERIOUS IRRADESCENT "END OF TIMES" CLOUDS PHENOMENON SPOTTED IN COSTA RICA

BTW, this phenomenon is caused by water droplets and ice crystals refracted by the sun's light.  Oh well, it's still a wondrous and beautiful sight.

Have been following the Mega 8.3 quake that struck Chile.  Here's more - TSUNAMI WAVES HIT JAPAN AFTER DEADLY 8.3 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE ROCKS CHILE

A 15 foot wall of water slammed into the Chilean coastal region and washed ships ashore and did extensive damage.

Miraculously, many lives have been spared and the death toll is relatively low for such a massive earthquake!

So, here I sit in the cabin in the mountains of East Tennessee.  Have been working on the next book, "Dances with Storms".  Making steady progress and doing a lot of editing along the way.

THANK YOU for your prayers, especially for my Cindy as she deals with the loss of her brother, Brett.  God bless!!

THE DEBATE - THE MOST POWERFUL MOMENT....In my humble opinion - A MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE SHAKES CHILE

I, like millions of Americans watched the Republican Presidential Candidate Debate last night.  This was the highest viewed event in CNN history (23,000,000 viewers!)!

Oh, there were some "Junior High-School" skirmishes but then things got down to business.  All of the candidates seemed to do quite well (BTW, notice the "Cross" between Trump and Bush) .

But then...there was this "Challenge" issued by Carly Fiorino...

Carly issues a simple but powerful challenge to Hillary and Obama and gives a description that was haunting but tragically true - take a look - CROWD ERUPTS AFTER CARLY FIORINO LOOKS INTO CAMERA & ISSUES THIS "FIERY DARE" TO HILLARY AND OBAMA

Have you seen any of the "Planned Parenthood" videos?  They are extremely difficult to watch and I am so glad that Carly issued that challenge.

I hope and pray that many look at this horrifying practice (abortion) in America and take it for what it is....murder.  And, selling aborted baby parts is a felony!  This photo is of:  Dr. Mary Gatter - President of Planned Parenthood Medical Director's Council.

Whew, I had to get that off of my mind.

Been working around the cabin and also making good steady progress on the book.  It was a good day yesterday, though I did shed a few more tears.  Thank God for His great grace in the midst of tragedy.

Also noted a very powerful 8.3 quake hit Chile last night.  Over 1 million have been evacuated from coastal towns where a 15 foot wall of water has been reported.

Tsunami alerts were issued for Hawaii.  We are following this story very closely.  Here's more - CHILE QUAKE TRIGGERS MASS EVACUATION AND TSUNAMI ALERT

Today, will be tweaking the "Solar Array" and editing and polishing and filling-in stories on "Dances with Storms".

I pray that you have a blessed day.  Thanks, as always, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

WRITER'S "CRAMP"....

Been up here at the cabin for nearly a week and every time I start to work on "Dances with Storms", I get distracted and go find some other project to work on.

I'm not experiencing any physical pain but....there seems to be a reason that I haven't begun doing any serious writing / editing / polishing on this book.

Well, I discussed it with Cindy yesterday and she suggested I lay out all that has been written already and just look at it and pray about it and shift and move the work around.

You see, I've already written 12 Chapters last year and I just let them lie.  I did what my Cindy suggested.  I laid them all out and began at Chapter 1.

I felt the "cramp" beginning to ease.  Began re-reading the work previously done and the flow began.

After Chapter 3, I began to cry, really cry.  Now....I realize why I've been so hesitant to work on this book.

You see, as I re-lived some of the tragedies and heart-ache from the death and destruction of earthquakes and cyclones and various storms, my heart just broke.  Through the writing that I had already done, I again, remembered the images and the grief and the sounds and the smells and it just hurt.

OK, now that that's been brought out and identified, I can work on the book.  It just took that good word from Cindy to get me going again.  The truth is...there's a bit of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) working here.

Now, I must also say, that along with the sadness, we've seen our Lord move again and again and again.  He's opened up doors that no man could open and shut doors along the way.

We've seen His grace and provision and love in the midst of great sorrow and suffering.  Folks, "God's Grace is Enough"!!

Yes, this book is going to be an encouragement to many.  Now, that I've re-opened the door, the writing will still be challenging and there will be tears, but there will also be joy and my faith will be strengthened as I press through and write this book.  I also believe, that writing this book will bring healing to my own soul.

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

SOLAR PURSUIT

Spent some time researching batteries for our little Solar Array here at the cabin.  The pursuit of being "energy self-sufficient" goes on.

When it all boils down, the main things we need electricity for is, lights, a water pump (to pull up well water), an Air Mobile Rescuer (to purify the water) and refrigeration.

Of course, we'll need to charge communication radios / cell phones / laptops etc..  Overall, that's not very much electricity.  So, today, I'm doing the math on wattage and figuring out how many batteries we'll need.  The batteries are like the gas tank for the solar watts.  The more batteries, the bigger the gas tank.

Next, we'll need to figure out how many watts for the Inverter.  The Inverter changes the 12 DC volts to 120 AC volts.  Fortunately, we have a very efficient wood stove that will provide warmth and the ability to cook.

So, between this "Solar Pursuit" and writing on the book, I'm fairly busy here at the cabin.  I'm sharing these ideas with you just to give you some ideas on the pursuit of preparing for stormy and rocky days ahead.  Again, it's not a bad idea to be a bit "more-prepared" than "under-prepared".

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

CATCHING SOME RAYS

As you know, Cindy and I look for bargains.  It comes from living on the "mission field" for years. We've found that, as a rule, solar energy does work, but....it's rather pricey.

For example, we use a portable, roll-up panel with our Rescuer and those 15 watt panels are nearly $300 each. They work beautifully, but again, they're rather expensive.

Been pondering, for a long time, how to power our cabin in the woods and of course, Solar would be part of that system.

So....being "thrifty", have been scanning the market for some time and came across a really good deal at Harbor Freight. Now, this is not a plug for Harbor Freight, it's just where we found a great deal and I'll share it with you.

They sell a 3 Panel system that gives 45 Watts for...under $200.00.  Now, get this, if you wait for the unit to go on sale, you can buy the system for $129.00!  Now, that's really cheap.

Over the last 6 months, we've bought 4 systems (only when they go on sale!).  Yesterday, after church, I broke open a box and set the unit up.

It was a pretty straight-forward set up and the instructions were quite good.

Took me about 30 minutes to put it all together.  Was impressed with the overall quality.  Listen folks, just shipping that unit from China would cost you and I more than $129!  I don't know how Harbor Freight does it.

So, after the set up, I hooked up the panels to a little battery and turned the panel array into the late afternoon sun and VOILA!  13,3 Volts going into that battery.  The system works.

Again, this is not a "Pitch" for Harbor Freight.  It's just the best deal I've ever found for 45 Watts of charging power.

Eventually, we'll have all four systems set up and cranking watts into batteries and we'll be another step toward being energy self sufficient....as long as there is sun light.  We're working on a few other systems to augment the Solar.

There you have it.  How Cindy and I are making "little steps" toward preparing for "Stormy Days".

I must share with you another Testimony!  Yesterday, a brand new Church was planted and had the first service in our Air Mobile Headquarters in Merritt Island, FL.  I want to congratulate the new Pastor and very good friend of ours, Lenny, for pushing through to this VICTORY!!

Lenny preached a beautiful message and by the end of the service, a new name was written down in glory!  PRAISE GOD!!

Today, will be a combination of "writin & preppin".  BTW, it's getting plumb chilly here at the cabin in the mountains.  Got down to 39 degrees this morning.  Soon, I'll be lighting a fire.

Once again, THANK YOU for joining us on this journey.  So appreciate your prayer, love and support!!

ANOTHER REASON TO COME TO THE CABIN....

Yes, I'm here at the cabin to work on Book 2, "Dances with Storms", but....am also making sure that all is in order and that we are as "prepared" as we can be.  Oh, there's always more that can be done, but Cindy and I are doing what we can do.

Let me explain.  The Bible is full of prophesies of things that will happen in the "End Times".  We're told to look for "signs".

The Bible tells of these things clearly.  I've spoken many times in this "blog" about Matthew 24 (a chapter chocked full of what the world will look like when Jesus returns).

There are many such Chapters found from Genesis to Revelation.  What are we to do?  The Bible tells us to "Watch" and when we see these signs...know that the end is near.

I've also been sharing about the Blood Moons.  We are just 15 days away from the 4th Blood Moon that will appear for all the world to see.

Do we believe that the world will end on that day? Personally, Cindy and I do not.  However....can these, indeed, be signs in the heavens sent by God?  Absolutely!  Here's some more - A SHAKING? WHAT SHEMITAH MEANS FOR ISRAEL/US

In addition to the "Blood Moons", there are additional signs that have been identified by Rabbi Johnathan Cahn.  He is best known for the books (NY Times 'Best Sellers'), "The Harbinger"  and "The Mystery of the Shemitah".

These books are excellent sources of information that further explain the many "Signs" that are appearing on the world stage.  Here's another article that came out today that points to events that have just occurred around September 11th. - STRANGE SIGNS ON "SHEMITAH'S" FINAL DAYS

Now, I stress again, Cindy and I are not in "Panic Mode".  We're just doing the simple things that one should do in the event that a "Storm" is coming.  I know that many look on folks who "PREPARE" (AKA - "Preppers") as weird and bizarre.

If we "err" on any side, it would be better to be PREPARED than UNPREPARED!  I share these things with you so that you can PRAY about the matter and perhaps take some action toward some PREPARATION!

We pray that the 4th Blood Moon shines in the night sky.  The world will WONDER and that the next day the sun will rise right on schedule and that we will have another beautiful day.  However....it is also good to be "Watching and Waiting for the coming of our Lord!

Today, will be going to Church and then this afternoon, will be setting up a few Solar Panels that can produce electricity in the event of a black-out caused by a storm.  Not a bad idea.

I know I've given you some things to think and pray about today.  As I always say, each and every day, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support and THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with us.  God bless!!

DON'T BE STUPID....

Today, being the 12th, as usual*, was reading in Proverbs 12.  Love verse 1.  Solomon uses some pretty blunt language.

After reading that opening verse, I decided that I didn't want to be stupid, so, I'm making a renewed determination to welcome instruction and reproof from our Lord into my life.

Sometimes, we just have to be reminded of this and yes, welcome, our Lord's reproof.  After all, He formed us in our mother's womb and wants nothing but the best for our life.

No, I don't want to be STUPID!  Having read the rest of Proverbs 12, I find more wisdom and instruction.  Praise God for His Word!!

Oh, what a great day yesterday. After doing some chores around the cabin, I drove to a local airport, just 15 minutes away and met Stan Brock, the Founder of Remote Area Medical (R.A.M.).  Stan flew one of the R.A.M. aircraft, a Cessna 206, over from Knoxville.

R.A.M. has conducted nearly 800 FREE MEDICAL CLINICS around the world.  Many are now conducted in the U.S.

Today, R.A.M. will be doing another Event and hundreds will receive FREE Medical Care.  I walked with Stan as he spoke with each of the patients who will be seen and cared for by R.A.M.

Being as Stan arrived the day before, after all of the preliminary duties were accomplished, I brought Stan to our Cabin for a little break.

Now, I've told you about Stan multiple times in this rambling Blog, but I'd like to share with you a "60 Minutes" Interview with Stan and R.A.M.  It's worth the time to view, as it depicts so wonderfully what Stan and R.A.M. are doing.  Here's the interview - "60 Minutes" interviews Stan Brock

I count myself blessed to have met Stan and now, we're working together around the world.  Yes, here it come...."Surely, God knows how to deploy His troops!"!

After dropping Stan back at the airport, where the R.A.M. will be held, I drove down the long-line of cars that were waiting for FREE Medical care.  It's amazing what one man with a heart to serve others can do to help so many.  God bless you, Stan Brock!!

So, today, I'll be writing on my next book, "Dances with Storms".  May run out to the R.A.M. event later this afternoon to see how Stan and Company are doing.

As I always say, and mean from the very depths of my heart, THANK YOU for your wonderful prayer, love and support!!

*  I try to read God's Word every day.  Sometimes I get too busy or just forget.  A means of getting some Word into my heart nearly every day is to read the corresponding Proverb.  There are 31 Proverbs, therefore, whatever day it is, I read that Proverb.  I don't do this "Legally", it's just means of getting some Word into my heart on a regular basis.....because I need it and don't want to be STUPID!!  Joe

ON THIS DAY, 14 YEARS AGO...WHERE WERE YOU?

I remember the day, like yesterday.  I, like millions around the world, watched, live, as the 2nd plane struck the Tower and then, in disbelief, it too collapsed.  This IS war and it's far from over.

But, did you know that this date, September 11th, has a long history.  Take a look at this article and you'll be surprised at how often, September 11th comes up with historic battles.
Yes, folks, we are at war! - THE LONG HISTORY OF SEPTEMBER 11TH MUSLIM ATROCITIES

So, on this September 11th, may we seek the Lord with all our heart.  May we also PRAY, for the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God...!  I am reminded that the true battle begins and ends in our PRAYER ROOM!  I'm again reminded of the movie, "War Room".  What a beautiful story of the power of PRAYER!!

It seems like I spend a lot of time working on old "Lawn Tractors".  Up here at the cabin, we have a White lawn tractor.  So, I began the day, yesterday, with the plan to mow around the cabin.

The battery was dead.  I charged it and went to hook it up and sparks flew everywhere.  Mmmm, what could it be?  Went on line and got a few tips.  Then, just like an epiphany, I prayed.  Went straight to the problem, a defective starter relay.  Made the drive to Tazewell and bought a new one.

Came back, installed it and voila.  Works like a dream.  But....something is taking out those relays, as I changed it just 6 months ago.  Need to find out what's taking out those relays.  The quest for answers goes on.

At any rate, I finished mowing around 7:00pm and didn't write a single word on the book.

Now, this afternoon, someone very special will be flying in to an airport that's quite close to the cabin....Stan Brock!

You may recall Stan from Wild Kingdom and many other movies.  Stan is an amazing person who has a true call to help others in need.  His organization, R.A.M. (Remote Area Medical) has helped millions with vital medical care.

Stan and R.A.M. will be conducting a FREE Medical outreach right in our "Backyard", just a few miles from our cabin.

So....I hope to do a little writing before going to meet Stan and Company.  Really looking forward to spending some time with Stan!!

Have already been up early this morning doing a few chores. The blog's a little late getting out.  It's time to do a little writing.

As always, THANK YOU for meandering down this adventure called life.  And...THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A SMOOTH JOURNEY...TO THE CABIN - MAJOR FLOODING IN TOKYO!

Pulled up to the cabin at about 12:30 midnight, after a pleasant and uneventful 12 hour journey from Florida.

Can't begin to tell you how thankful I am to be here!  The Smokies are just being the smokies and the coffee is delicious!!

I NEVER thought fuel would be under $2.00, but there it is...$1.86 and falling!  That made the journey up to the Cabin a bit sweeter!

On the way out of town, yesterday morning, Cindy and I met with Malcolm and Phyllis Blowes (long-time missionaries to India and beyond) along with their representative from India, Jeevan.

We first met Jeevan in India and donated 2 Air Mobile Rescuers to his ministry in India.  He gave us a great report on how well the Rescuers are performing and what a huge difference CLEAN water makes for the children in the orphanage.

After breakfast and a few errands around town, I hit the road for the journey to the mountains of East Tennessee.

Frankly, I love "road trips" and particularly enjoy them solo.  Oh, I love traveling with Cindy and the kids, but there's just something about the solitude of just hitting the road with just you and the Lord.  Great time of reflection.

Now that I'm here, I hope to make a serious dent in writing book 2, "Dances with Storms".

After the last mission to Dominica and "dancing around" Tropical Storm Erika as we "slipped out" of Florida, I could likely add another Chapter to the book.

So, for the next....I don't know how many, days will be up here spending some wonderful time with Jesus and just writing.

Of course, there will be plenty of chores to do, but they make a good "break time" from writing.

Awoke this morning to the news that Tokyo is experiencing major flooding.  Am following that story.

So thankful for Kurt Sabin, a great Missionary in Japan.  Kurt joined us on the Nepal Mission.  Will be in touch with Kurt and seeing what we can do to help.

Here's more on this terrible flooding in Japan - RARE EMERGENCY WARNINGS ISSUED; EVACUATION ORDERS ISSUED AS FLOODING RAINS DRENCH GREATER TOKYO; LANDSLIDES, INJURIES REPORTED

I'm thankful for a good internet connection, and friends whom our Lord has strategically deployed (Kurt), so that even here in the cabin tucked in the mountains of East Tennessee, Air Mobile can lend a hand.

Well, it's time to make my rounds and assess what projects need to be done.  Then....down to serious writing.  So glad you can join me up here, as you wander down this winding road of life.  Am especially THANKFUL for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

A CALL IN THE NIGHT

Had just drifted off to sleep when the phone rang.  It was from Dominica.  On the other end was Petter (yes with 2 T's) Saint-Jean.  Petter is the Minister of Education and Human Development for Dominica.

Oh, it was good hearing from Petter! He is the one (on my right) who introduced us to Don Corriette (on my left), the Coordinator for the Office of Disaster Management.

Petter is also a dynamic Christian.  The main purpose of his call was for PRAYER!  There is currently a storm with a lot of rain to the south of Dominica (TDCF).

We prayed together and asked our Lord to spare Dominica, that surely doesn't need any more rain right now!

Petter also gave me a report that the 2 Villages that had been "cut-off" except by "ROPE" were now opened by road.  There is still so much work that needs to be done and folks are having a very hard time.  PLEASE remember to pray for Dominica!!

We also discussed how we could help with the very poor Air Traffic Communications.  We're seeing if we can help locate some "Emergency Radios".  This is a very critical situation.

Here's the E-mail he sent me after our conversation:

Grace and peace to you my brother. It was certainly a joy to reestablish contact with you tonight. May Almighty God make your way prosperous as you give yourself to the service of humanity.

I'm pleased to inform that though my two villages are still effectively cut off from the rest of the island and both the Dutch and British have pulled off the helecopters  which were our only means of getting supplies air lifted, the roadway between the two villages is now accessible.

We have also been successful in creating a track down the river valley to gain access from my village to the cut off areas.

I wish once more to express my profound gratitude to you and your organization for being a true friend and partner to us here in Dominica in our time of adversity.

Now, that E-Mail was written to both you and I because you PRAY together with Cindy and I.  We are a TEAM!

We do plan to return to Dominica when we next go to Haiti, as we will already be half way there.  We're praying about when that will be.

Yesterday, we met with Dunel from OFNAC (the FAA of Haiti) at the Harris Headquarters.  We went into great detail about how Harris can help OFNAC to continue to improve it's Air Traffic Control (ATC).

Now that the OFNAC meetings are complete, I'm heading to the mountains of Tennessee, for a bit, to continue writing on Book 2, "Dances with Storms".

As you may recall, I was on my way to the Cabin when Tropical Storm Erika "hammered" Dominica.  I'll try to head out again today.  Cindy has already made me sandwiches and we're filling up the Coffee thermos.  Oh, I'm really looking forward to this!!

On the way out of town, Cindy and I will have breakfast with Malcolm and Phyllis Blows, long time missionaries to India.  On our last mission to India, we met with their country director and donated 2 Air Mobile Rescuers to their mission.  We're looking forward to getting a good report.

It's time to finish packing up, having a nice breakfast and then hitting the road for that cabin in the mountains of East Tennessee. As always, THANK YOU for your precious and GREATLY appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

BACK TO WORK...AGAIN

Yesterday was a mixture of "work & play".  Met with an Official from Haiti's FAA (OFNAC) over a casual breakfast and light discussion about Haiti's plans to expand their Air Traffic Control system.  Then...it was off to Kennedy Space Center for some real fun!

Dunel and I spent the next 4 hours going "behind the scenes" of America in Space and what a day it was.

The addition of the Space Shuttle Atlantis is absolutely incredible.  It just takes my breath away.  To see the actual Shuttle up close is one of the best Aero-Space displays I've ever seen.

Dunel was "blown away" by it all. Then, we boarded a bus and had an amazing tour of all of the launch sites and we ended up at the Saturn V display.

BTW, still the most powerful rocket ever built and it was done in the 60's!  And, take a look at the people under this massive rocket.  It shows just how BIG the Saturn V is!

So, today, we'll get down to "Business" and seek to provide Haiti with the best Air Traffic Control System in the Caribbean!!

The latest ratings just in:  War Room #1!  It seems that Americans are hungry for good, "Christian" films.  This has been evidenced by the "surprising" success of "War Room".

Again, Cindy and I urge you to go and see it.  You'll be glad you did.  Here's the latest - WAR ROOM 'TROUNCES' OUT OF COMPTON FOR NUMBER 1

Just had to share this story about a News Anchor doing an interview with the Kendrick Brothers (they did the "Movie").

The Anchor was truly touched by the film - Here's the story - NEWS ANCHOR CHOKES UP DOING INTERVIEW WITH FILM-MAKERS "IT CHANGED MY LIFE SO MUCH!"

Did you receive an E-Mail report from us this morning titled "MADE FOR THE MISSION"?

Cindy put together a report on our recent "Mission to Dominica" and we sent it out to our list.  If you did not receive it, then you must not be on our E-Mail list.

If you want to be there, just jot me a note at:  airmobilejoe@gmail.com and we'll be sure to get you on the list.  Here's the report MADE FOR THE MISSION

It's time to head out into this day that our Lord has made and yes, we'll rejoice and be glad in it.  As always, THANK YOU for your INVALUABLE PRAYER, LOVE AND SUPPORT!!

WHY NO BAIL FOR THE CLERK?? / GO SEE "WAR ROOM"!! / & HAPPY LABOR DAY!!

After  attending church yesterday morning, we headed to Orlando to bring "Church" to the hospital where we've been Chaplains for over 18 years.  You know, just that simple act of going to "Church" is a privilege that we enjoy here in America.  We should NEVER take it for granted!

In many countries, one would be either imprisoned or even beheaded for such a brazen act (of going to, or bringing "church" to someone).  Again, we should be THANKFUL for this precious freedom!

After our Chaplain service at the Psychiatric Hospital, which, we conducted separate services to the adolescents, the adults and the acute care patients...we actually conducted 3 Church services, we rejoiced at this grand opportunity to share Jesus and the GOOD NEWS with those in need.  We're so THANKFUL to the administration of the hospital that has allowed us to conduct this service freely for all these years!!

This brings me to the Kentucky Clerk, Kim Davis, who refuses to issue Marriage Licenses to gay couples.  She is now in jail. WITHOUT BAIL, for following her heart and her convictions.

There is no question that the issue of homosexuality is dealt with very clearly in the Bible.  This, yes, brave Clerk, is simply following the Bible and her CONVICTIONS!  Now....she is in Jail without Bail.  Here's more - WHY CAN'T THE KENTUCKY CLERK GET BAIL??

Folks, listen to me, if we just sit here and say nothing, eventually (or sooner!)  "they" will be coming after you!  Make no mistakes about it. This is truly RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION IN AMERICA!!

This leads me to my next subject this morning...."GO SEE WAR ROOM"!  After our chaplain service at the hospital, Cindy, Peter, Ariana and I went to the see the movie.  It was interesting, as we were standing in line, a patron was asking the Theater manager if he could bring his "concealed weapon" into the theater.

The patron explained that he did have a "Conceal Carry" license.  The manager was insistent in telling him that he could not carry the weapon into the theater, as it was Regal Theaters rules...."No Guns Allowed".

Now, I understand the rules, however, there was no means of detecting if any of the other hundreds of movie patrons were "carrying".

BTW, the Patron with the weapon, left the theater.  As we walked in, I breathed a simple prayer for our protection...in the Name of Jesus!

Once the movie started, and the house was PACKED, the audience would regularly burst into applause.  It's been a while since I've been in a movie that seemed like one of the best "Church Services" I've been to in a long time.

The MESSAGE was clear.  Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and rulers of darkness in high places.  Simply put, against the devil!  Oh Folks, this Movie is a CALL TO PRAYER like very few movies I've ever seen in my life.

I so urge you to find the time and way to go see this movie while it is still in the theaters. You'll be glad you did.  Today, being Labor Day, just may be the perfect time to go see "War Room"!!

Now, as you know, I THANK YOU every single day for standing with us with your PRAYER, LOVE AND SUPPORT!  I truly mean that and want you to know how much we appreciate your PRAYER!  We could not do what we do without so many standing with us!

As we launch into this LABOR DAY, we'll be busy.  Have a representative from OFNAC (Haiti's FAA) coming in today to begin meetings on expanding the Air Traffic Control system in Haiti.  We're so THANKFUL for this opportunity.

Also, I must admit, the movie "War Room" has opened my heart to PRAY even more.  So, again, if you get the chance, GO SEE "WAR ROOM", you'll be glad you did and...as always, THANK YOU for your precious and greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

STUNNING EVIDENCE ON BLOOD MOONS

I'm sure you've heard of the Blood Moons.  Well, #4 is coming up on September 28th.  The Rabbi, Mark Biltz, who "uncovered" this phenomenon has put together an extraordinary "capsule" shot of this soon, coming astronomical event and I'd like to share it with you.

I must warn you, the article gets quite technical and full of a lot of charts and figures.  However, if you push through to the end, you will certainly understand why this is being spoken about in so many circles around the world.  Here's the article - BLOOD MOONS: ADDING UP THE EVIDENCE

Now, I am NOT saying that...."The World is going to end on September 28"!  However, I do believe in signs and wonders.  I also believe that our Lord loves us very much and yes, He does speak to us.  Could the Blood Moons be a sign from God?  Cindy and I certainly do believe that this could indeed be our Lord speaking to us.

So, what are we doing about this?  Well, the most important thing for us is to be sensitive to His voice and seek to follow Him wherever He leads us.  We don't always hit the target but we get up each morning and say...."Thy will be done.... in our lives".

Yesterday, Cindy worked on our garden...sowing goods seeds into good soil.

I mowed the lawn, including knocking down that back field that had grown so wild and wooly.

Later, we went to Dogs-R-Us to watch LSU football but....lightening delayed the game and then finally, it was called off. This is first time that has happened since 1918.  Must have been some pretty bad storms.

So, with the coming 4th Blood Moon, life goes on.  The best thing for any of us to do is to seek the Lord and seek to be where He wants us, when He wants us there.  It's not a complicated message, but a very good admonition.

This morning, we'll be attending a church (East Coast Christian - Viera)  where Christian and Ann Marie (our son and Daugher-in-Law)  are in the Worship Band and Peter just joined the team.  THANK GOD for His Amazing Grace.

Then, this afternoon, Cindy and I will lead a team who will be bringing the Good News of Jesus to both adolescent and adults who are in a psychiatric hospital in Orlando.  Again, we're THANKFUL for this open door to preach the Gospel.

We're THANKFUL that you meander along this road of life with us.  Most of all, we're appreciative for your love, prayer and support!!

YARD WORK & LSU FOOTBALL

Now, that I'm home for a bit, I hear the yard crying out.  Have an old riding lawn mower that my neighbor gave to me several years ago.  Seems like I spend more time repairing it than riding it.  I guess it's "therapeutic".

Today, I'll be knocking down a back field that hasn't been mowed in about a year/  It'll be a challenge for the old "Yard Machine".

Meanwhile, my Cindy has single-handedly taken on planting a fall garden.  She has tomatoes, mustard greens, beets, cucumbers and green beans.  Mmmmm, can't wait for those fresh veggies!

Peter, who has been at Florida Tech will be coming home today....to lend a hand with our yard work and then.... we're heading to our favorite Saturday evening hang-out (during College Football Season) "Dogs-R-Us".

Our LSU Tigers will be opening the 2015 Season against McNeese State.  When possible, I work real hard to be in the U.S. and close to home for Saturday evenings during football season.

Cindy and Ariana will join us for dinner and then they head home when the game starts.  My other son, Christian and his son, Rythm will be joining us for the game also.

OK, I realize that I'm prattling on about yard work, gardens and LSU football, but bear with me.  When one writes a blog every single day, we just have to deal with the stuff that's going on.

In the meantime, our faithful "Water Mule", Yahn, will be at the shop doing a full inventory report and getting back to me with a list of what we need to make Air Mobile Rescuers.  Our inventory was depleted with this last "Mission to Dominica".

I see that there's another "Storm" brewing off of the coast of Africa.  We need to be ready! Here's more on Invest 91-L - NEW STORM ORGANIZING IN THE ATLANTIC

So, it's time to head to out and knock down that back field and do the chores that are ever present.  As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

BACK TO WORK!

Spent yesterday with Paul, our mechanic, going over the Little Donkey after the long trek down to Dominica.  I'm so thankful to have an excellent mechanic with more than 50 years experience.  Paul knows aircraft and he especially knows the Little Donkey!

We also need to get some more Rescuers built and ready for the "next mission"!  It's time to order components and call out the "Water Mules" to build more units.

BTW, please PRAY that the funding comes in for the 4 units that we delivered to Dominica.

Was reading in Proverbs 4 today about Wisdom.  Oh, what a
gift from God!  In today's world, with so many things happening and coming at us, we need His Wisdom.  And the good news is, "it's ours for the asking"!

You may be like me. Sometimes when reading the news, one can become discouraged and angry.  That's the time to just go to the Word of God and hear what God has to say!  That's what I did this morning when I opened up to Proverbs 4 (being as today is the 4th).  Just what I needed to hear.

So, today, I'll be seeking His wisdom and guidance and direction.  If you get a chance, please read Proverbs 4, you'll be blessed!

Just before we departed for Dominica, we were interviewed by a local News Station.  I just got a copy of the newscast and thought I'd share it with you.  Here it is:  CHANNEL 13 NEWS: AIR MOBILE GOING TO DOMINICA

It's time to head out the door and "Get to Work".  As always, THANK YOU for your faithful and vital prayer, love and support!!

HOW QUICKLY THINGS CAN CHANGE....RAPID DEPLOYMENT

As you may recall, last Saturday, I had gotten up and was doing the final pack to head to the Cabin in the Mountains of East Tennessee.

The Plan:  Work on Book 2 (Dances with Storms).  Well, all of that changed when Cindy and I saw the news of what happened in Dominica.  Our hearts broke.

This tiny, isolated, Island Nation was devastated by terrible flooding and destruction.  People were cut-off, desperate and the death toll was rising!

There are certain "Missions" that Air Mobile is just made for.  This, was one such "Mission".  Once the Decision was made to Go...at about 6:30am, Air Mobile went into "High Gear".

I called Yahn to get 4 Rescuers ready.  Jason called...out of the clear blue, and he was immediately recruited as Co-Pilot.

Cindy helped me pack and made lunch and handled a bunch of logistical challenges.  Paul, our mechanic did a final inspection and buttoned up the Little Donkey for the long and grueling mission ahead.

Bob Bostic, from Deliver the Difference, called and offered some of his amazing food.  I asked if he could get about 2000 meals ready.  "No problem" was Bob's reply.  We would meet at 3:00am Sunday morning.

Our bank, which is open on Saturday, allowed us to get the cash needed for a LOT of fuel.  Yes, the many, many pieces were all coming together, literally in a matter of hours!

By 6:30pm on Saturday evening (just 12 hours after the decision to GO was made), I was heading home to get some desperately needed sleep.  Would be up in just a few hours to "launch" and fly 1500+  nautical miles to Dominica....with a plane load of life-saving supplies!

The Weather was a major consideration, as what was left of Tropical Storm Erika (that had done all the damage on Dominica) was headed straight to Florida.

By the time I awoke, some of those violent storms had arrived.  Again, our Lord made a way for us to slip out between them and head to Dominica!

As we left those storms behind, we faced grueling 30+ knot headwinds all the way to Dominica.

Then, came the moment on "Short Final" when we landed at Canefield Airport on Dominica....PRAISE GOD, for helping us to get there and bring food and water to those who are suffering.

BTW, the Little Donkey is the perfect aircraft to make this "Mission".  The only airport in Dominica was Canefield Airport, a very short and "tricky" strip.

Landing at Canefield is always a challenge, as the runway is North-South and the winds prevail East-West and as you can see, there's a hill right as the end of the runway....as well as a hill behind us! Yes, our Lord was with us!!

Wow, just writing about the amazing (miraculous) way the pieces came together for this mission brings tears to my eyes.  Surely, truly, "OUR LORD KNOWS HOW TO DEPLOY HIS TROOPS!!"  We could never have launched this mission without a lot of help, prayer, love and support!!

Now, I'd like to ask you to PRAY again about this mission that we just accomplished.  Because of the  RAPID DEPLOYMENT , we were unable to get the 4 Air Mobile Rescuers funded ($9200.00) and... just the fuel for this mission was over $3200!

We know that our Lord will provide, but I ask you join with us in prayer for the balance to come in so that we can be READY for the NEXT MISSION!

So, now that I'm back home, it's time to get back to work.  Will get up to that Cabin in the Mountains of East Tennessee...eventually.... to do some writing on "Dances with Storms".  As always, THANK YOU for standing so faithfully with us with your precious prayer, love and support!!

1500 NAUTICAL MILES HOME... IN ONE DAY! - A LONG STRETCH FOR THE LITTLE DONKEY

We accomplished our "Mission" of bringing clean water and food to the flood victims in Dominica!  Praise God!!

And... we made it all the way home in one day!  When we landed at Titusville, Jason and I were just plain tired and tuckered out.

I'm glad we had plenty of Oxygen (thanks to that ground crew in Guadalupe) and also, that I had Jason as my co-pilot in the cockpit with me.

This was a long stretch for our trusty "Little Donkey"!

BTW, we did make a fuel stop in Provo in the Turks and Caicos.  Didn't want you to think that we flew it all the way "non-stop".

We began the day bright and early....but not too early so as to not get dinged with "Customs Overtime" charges.

All of the Officials were gracious and thankful for the gifts that we brought to the Dominican people.  They even waived our parking and departure taxes.

I have the distinct feeling that we'll be back to Dominica!!  It's difficult for me to express the joy that I have inside having helped these folks. Again, I'm THANKFUL to you for standing so faithfully with us with your prayer!!

After taking off of the rough, rather short runway at Canefield, we settled down to a nice cruise of 185 knots.  We had a little tailwind.

I recall our journey to Dominica and fighting the fierce 30 knot headwinds.  Believe me, the 185 knots brought a smile to Jason and I!

We then put on our Oxygen Masks and climbed to 14,500', our final cruising altitude.  We knew, that if all went well, we'd be home by this evening.

Again, we prayed for our Lord to make the way for us.  We then landed in Provo, in the Turks and Caicos for fuel.

We checked the weather and could see that a large group of storms were moving across Florida and might "interfere" with our landing at Fort Pierce. Again, we prayed!

We encountered a few build ups along the way, but they were easily "circum-navicable".  Plus, we had plenty of fuel to do a lot of maneuvering.

Then, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted this rainbow.  And, yes, the Lord did it again and paved the way for us to make it into Fort Pierce with no problem.  We cleared Customs, just before the office closed and made the 25 minute flight home.

Cindy and Ariana met Jason and I at a local BBQ place and we had a delicious meal and celebrated this incredible "Mission to Dominica"!

Ahhhh, it's good to be home.  Maybe, sometime soon, I'll be able to make that trek up to the Tennessee Cabin and work on Book 2.  Thinking about calling it...."Dances with Storms".  Mmmmm, not a bad title.

So, as always, I mean this from the very bottom of my heart....THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

CLEAN WATER & FOOD DELIVERED TO DOMINICA!!

We had a good nights sleep (much needed) and a delicious breakfast in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  Jason and I headed to the airport for our next leg, in this long journey.

Aviation fuel is very expensive in the Caribbean. I always want to be sure that all 14 tanks are filled to capacity and sealed up properly.  I often do the fueling myself.

Once the Little Donkey was all "tanked up", my Copilot agreed, it was time to leave Punta Cana and fly to Guadalupe.

Notice the Cessna 210 behind Jason that didn't make a good landing.

We also knew, according to the weather patterns, that we'd be facing some rain and low visibility, but no large thunderstorms on our flights today.

We took off for Guadalupe into clear skies and still had very strong headwinds.  After a 3 hour flight, we saw the island of Guadalupe and a lot of showers rapidly closing in.

We raced to the runway to a smooth landing and moments later, the field closed due to very low visibility. Again, our Lord made the way for us.

Along the long journey, we completely emptied our Oxygen supply.  Fortunately, we found an airline that had some and they DONATED a full supply to us.  We're so THANKFUL for folks, who along the way, give us a hand.

After fueling in Guadalupe (BTW, the fuel was $10.00 per gallon!! ouch, that hurt), we were headed for our "Mission Destination", Dominica!!

Now, the main airport on Dominica is closed and will be for quite a while.  The only airport open was Canefield.  It was nice to see the island on our Garmin G-500.  We were close!

We flew the 56 miles from Guadalupe to Dominica and my GPS said that the airport was dead ahead, 1 mile.

I just couldn't see it and then....there it was, a very short field right on the edge of the ocean.  We landed!  We made our "mission destination"!!

We had made arrangements to meet a gentleman who had posted a wonderful video showing the plight of the Dominican people.

He wasn't there to meet us.  So, we unloaded the vital Air Mobile Rescuers and food and just waited.  The officials were very gracious and helpful, but still, our contact was  "no where to be found".

I was pleased to see our Little Donkey on the ramp with the few helicopters and occasionally, a small plane would land with limited supplies.  Meanwhile, we waited for our contact.

Jason and I prayed, and we had the Lord's wonderful peace that all would work out. We'd come far to bring help and we knew that He would lead us to the right folks to present these great supplies.

As we waited, a very friendly Taxi driver by the name of Saxon, who was also a Christian, kept us company.  He also made numerous inquiries attempting to reach our contact with no success.

Then, Saxon introduced us to the Minister of Education (Peter St. Jean) and then, moments later, the National Disaster Coordinator (Don Coriette).  Our "new" contacts were being made, thanks to Saxon!!

They told me of villages that were completely shut off and the only way in was by "rope".  They were both extremely busy, but graciously took time to see the Air Mobile Rescuer and learn about the great food.

We continued to wait for our original contact to show up, and it was becoming increasingly evident that he just wasn't going to make it.  We pray that he is ok.

I knew, in my heart, that our Lord had directed us to the right people.  We would donate the Rescuers and the food directly to the Office of the National Disaster Coordinator, Don.

Soon, we were training the team of First Responders who were stationed at the airport.  There is still a full-blown Search and Rescue (SAR) operation going on.  50 Dominicans are still unaccounted for.

I love demonstrating the power of the Rescuer, by finding a very dirty bucket of water and then putting my sweaty foot right in the bucket. This definitely gets people's attention.

Then comes the moment where I drink that water that was extremely dirty and disgusting, and now, is very clean thanks to the Rescuer.  Yes, I love this moment!!

All, were thoroughly convinced that Dominica was receiving an amazing and powerful gift to help them to recover and reach the folks that so desperately need clean water and food!

With joy, I presented to the Island Nation of Dominica, 4 Air Mobile Rescuers, 2000 meals and vitamins!  Glory be to God!!

As the sun set on this beautiful evening, Jason and I knew that we had come to the right place at the right time and accomplished God's will!!

Don had made arrangements for Jason and I to stay in a local guesthouse not far from the airport.

We stopped at a small grocery store (that was packed with patrons) and bought some fresh hoagie rolls, chopped ham, salami and mustard, along with some chips.  That would be our dinner (the first we'd eaten since breakfast in Punta Cana many hours earlier).  It really tasted good!!

So, here we are this morning, the sun has not yet risen.  I've already had 2 cups of coffee, thanks to an electric tea pot and 3 in 1 coffee that I bought in Nepal (Mac Coffee).  Ahhh, life is good!

We'll be headed to the airport and we plan to make the first leg of our journey to Provo Island, about 800 nautical miles away and then...hopefully, home by this evening.  Please pray that we have traveling mercy and....TAILWINDS & CLEAR SKIES all the way home!

In reflection on this amazing journey, I find again that...."Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops"!!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!
