A WONDERFUL GAME & A FITTING TRIBUTE TO A GREAT COACH

As you my may, my son Peter and I really love LSU football.  Yes, I'm a "Cajun" through and through and having been born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA., LSU football is in my blood.

Going into last nights game, things looked very bad for a great coach, Les Miles.  Looked like after a 3 game losing string, the LSU Athletic Department was going to "fire" him.

Even Les said, in an earlier interview that, after the LSU - Texas A&M game, it would likely be his last game.

However.... LSU  played an incredible game against a very good Texas A&M team and prevailed with a 19-7 Victory.

The stadium burst into overwhelming applause and about 100,000 could be heard yelling, "We love Les".  The team carried Les on their shoulders as a tribute and a show of their great love for this great coach!

Still, no one knew the fate of Les Miles.  We all held our breath.  Then, less than an hour after the game, came an announcement from the Athletic Director...Les Miles would remain the Head Coach of LSU!  That was a good choice.  Les is a great coach and a great role-model and a true leader to these young men.

Peter and I yelled for joy and even cried a little bit, when the news of the decision was announced to keep Les as coach.  I know it's "just a game", but so many great lessons are learned on that playing field.

Oh well, I just had to share this story with you.  Today, there have been no notable "Terrorist" attacks and the world leaders are meeting to save the planet from....global warming.  Hope they get it right!

Cindy and I are getting ready for church and then to Orlando for our Hospital ministry where we'll conduct 3 separate services.  We love sharing the Good News of Jesus with those who are in this "locked down" facility.  It is a JOY!

Time to get ready and head out the door.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS & LEFT-OVERS

I made one "Black Friday" run to Lowes and bought Christmas Tree lights (100 lights) for $1.99 each and...survived.  Actually, it wasn't bad at all.

Then came the part that I used to dread, but have, learned to, "somewhat", enjoy.  Hanging them.  Peter was a big help. Cindy watched and encouraged me as the tedious, and at times, rather precarious process went on.

Cooking was no problem because of...one the best parts of a scrumptious Thanksgiving Dinner is...the "Left Overs".  Then, they'll likely become a delicious turkey soup.

Oh, some traditions are worth keeping and this is one of them!  I love this Season.  Yes, we have much for which to be THANKFUL!!

Today, we'll be buying our Christmas Tree.  And yes, JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!!

We hope you enjoy this blessed weekend and have some good family time and find some good bargains and always remember to be THANKFUL for Jesus!

I'm also THANKFUL that we have the freedom in this country to love and worship Jesus without fear of reprisal.  May we remember those who are persecuted for their faith.

Well, it's just one week away from our "Incredible International Bazaar". Cindy and I are very excited as we see the pieces coming together.

Folks, this is going to be a blast, filled with joy and wonderful Christmas gifts and delicious food and fellowship and at the same time, SAVING LIVES!

Now, finally, I want you to know just how much we appreciate you!  Your sweet prayer, love and support is like "wind under our wings"! THANK YOU and may you be extremely blessed!!
