SEEKING WISDOM....& ALL HANDS ON DECK
For the Lord gives wisdom to those who seek. As we plan our next missions, above all, Cindy and I seek His Wisdom and Direction and Understanding.
Just sitting on the porch of the cabin and sipping coffee, in the cool of the morning, watching the clouds come close enough to touch, and the humming birds dart about, we seek to hear Him.
There are needs always, but which ones are we to address? When do we go and where do we go? Those answers are in His hands.
We'll continue to refresh and recharge and do some chores around the cabin.
For now, it's "All Hands on Deck" as Cindy and put a new coat of stain on the front porch.
There will always be work to be done. We'll just wait on the Lord and let Him direct our path.
Cindy's making a big pot of mustard greens and 13 bean soup. Good eatin in the mountains of East TN. God is good!!
THANK YOU, as always, for our prayer, love and support!!!

COORDINATED FLIGHT PATHS & LANDINGS & LEARNING TO "LEAN"
Some of us just like to fly. I don't know, perhaps (most likely), our Lord has put into our hearts (the aviators).
Yesterday, Cindy and Ari had a lovely time hiking the "Pioneer Trail" at Wilderness Road State Park.
Then, they climbed to the Tri-State Peak of Cumberland Gap. There, they could see Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky. I was alone at the cabin.
Often, while planning mission outreaches, one encounters obstacles. These can weigh heavily upon your heart. Such was the case for me yesterday.
I sat at my computer and just didn't know which way to go. I sensed our Lord urging me to leave the computer, go find a pretty spot and ponder Him and His goodness.
I did just that. Found the spot and sat. It was absolutely beautiful. I sensed that He was working and I just needed to lean upon Him to work out the details.
Spent nearly 2 hours finding places where the deer cross and the turkeys roam. Looked for another source of water and found what could be an underground river.
My mind left the "Obstacles" and simply roamed the land and enjoyed the view.
Upon returning to the cabin. I noted that several critical players on these missions had contacted me and the obstacles have begun to move out of the way.
Praise God for His goodness, grace and power. So often, we need to just...."Let go and let God"!
The journey continues and we have another beautiful day here at the "Retreat Cabin".
What wonders will unfold? What details will be worked out? I'm not sure, but I'm holding tightly onto His hand!
THANK YOU, as always for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

QUIETLY....PREPARING
Enjoying the peace and quiet, and taking advantage of this time (Between Missions) to continue to build up the "Retreat Cabin" for a possible "retreat".
As we hear the "War Drums" beating and see the movements of Korea (North and South), Chinese, Russian & American troops "positioning", one wonders if and when "War" will be declared.
Here's more - NORTH KOREAN THREAT RISING RAPIDLY!
Cindy and I are recalling the Parable of the 10 Virgins in Matthew 25:1-13. 5 were wise and 5 were foolish. The wise Virgins bought and secured "oil" before the Bridegroom came.
Mmmm, good message for us all. Prepare as we can for the future. That doesn't make one "Crazy" as the media often portrays "Preppers". It's just good sense.
Let me give you an example. Right now, there is a rapidly growing Tropical Storm off the coast of Tampa. It could become a Hurricane.
NEW DEPRESSION NEAR TAMPA QUICKLY STRENGTHENS INTO TROPICAL STORM EMILY
It would be wise to have provisions, such as extra food, water, batteries, candles, flashlights, etc. BEFORE the storm hits. That doesn't make one crazy. It's just smart.
We have a little more time here at the "Retreat Cabin" before returning to Florida.
It's the perfect time to continue to build up our ability to produce electricity (in the event of black-out). Also, to have a good source of clean water. And to have some extra food laid up.
Today, I'm researching batteries to go along with the solar panels that we've already secured. We'll also be plumbing in the generator to our propane source. These are simple and very practical things to do BEFORE they are necessary.
We PRAY that they will not be necessary, but if they are, we'll have them in place.
While I'm at the cabin doing research on batteries, Cindy and Ari are heading out for a hike at Cumberland Gap (up to the Tri-State peak).
BTW, Ari is almost as tall as Cindy. She's growing so fast...into a beautiful young lady.
Time to get on with this beautiful day. As always, THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!!

GEN OK & A SWINGING BRIDGE & WAR DRUMS BEATING
With the help of Will, was able to set up and run our new emergency generator. Having the ability to generate ones own electricity is a good thing.
An emergency can occur anytime and it's just good to be ready.
From there, we headed over to a local "Swinging Bridge". It's kind of scary to cross, but my brave Cindy did it for the second time.
Have been following the headlines and the "WAR DRUMS" are definitely beating regarding North Korea. The last Missile Launch by North Korea is causing a lot deep concern.
This situation is extremely volatile! Here's more - "WAR FOOTING" - U.S. AIRFORCE UNLEASHES SUPERSONIC BOMBERS IN "NORTH KOREA NUKE DRILL"
We certainly need to PRAY about this situation!
This morning, Will and Marianne will be heading home. We've so enjoyed having them with us.
Time to head to church. THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!

FRIENDS...FROM AFAR
First met Marianne in Haiti over 30 years ago. It was such a joy to have she and her husband, Will, drive up to the cabin yesterday.
It rained all day and the big pot of chili and cornbread was a perfect meal for old stories and sweet fellowship.
Then, we sat down and watched old episodes of "Highway to Heaven" with Michael Landon.
Then, it was on to the "Waltons". Mmmm, they just don't make em like they used to.
Something about this mountain air and retreat cabin that brings out the simple beauty and love of God into our hearts. Let it be!
Today, we'll be off to a swinging bridge and a waterfall. Will will also be helping me get that dual fuel generator up and running.
We pray you have a blessed day. We'll just have sweet fellowship, good food and enjoy the day. THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A NICE STROLL WITH FRIENDS & A FLIGHT OF 5 IN SLO-MO
Cindy, Ari and I (and little Andy) drove to Galinburg, TN to join friends for a super breakfast at the famous "Pancake Pantry".
If you ever visit Gatlinburg, we strongly recommend this place!
They bring new meaning to the many scrumptious ways to make pancakes!!
After a bit, our friends headed back because the little ones were worn out.
Cindy, Ari and I continued on for a bit and just enjoyed the grand display of tranquil beauty.
During a very dark economic time in America (and around the world), a program was engaged that employed literally millions and gave us many of our great National Parks.
The Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) was launched in 1933 and continued to 1942.
Here's a bit more about the this program that has given us such beauty and inspiration through our great National Parks. A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORP (CCC)
Later today, dear friends whom I've known since early Haiti days will be coming by to spend a day or two with us. We can hardly wait to see Marianne and Will. We've got a lot of good work projects going on and it'll be nice to have their help and fellowship.

THE "ROAD TO.....GATLINBURG"
Every year, we meet some of our dear friends in the beautiful town of Gatlinberg. We'll be getting on the road in a few minutes.
I'll write more once we're on the road (Cindy will be driving). Gotta run.
OK, I'm back. We're winding down (and up) some back Tennessee roads headed to Gatlinburg.
Last year, we came here and the area was still smoking from wild fires that ravaged the area.
But today, all is well and we're looking foward to being with friends and having a "Breakfast Feast" at the famous "Pancake Pantry"!
So, today, we're just chilling out with friends and having a good old time in Tennessee.

OK....I'LL ADMIT IT....
This place, the Retreat Cabin, is just so beautiful and peaceful...yes, I feel a bit guilty about being here and just enjoying it so much.
You see, Cindy and I travel the world, usually going to the "Hot Spots" where disaster and death (usually starvation, thirst, disease and war, etc..) have ravaged the land.
The problem is, "In Between" missions, we have this lovely place to come to and recharge and sometimes, just "wait" for the "marching orders". That is where we are right now.
There are certain "Logistical" details that must be worked out before we return to South Sudan. When the news tells of the suffering and devastation taking place in that region, it's heart-breaking and yes, a certain tinge of guilt rises up within me.
Our biggest prayer is that we hear our Lord when He says for us to GO! As nice as this place is, we don't want to be "here" when we should be "there".
The fact that we have a full office here and have relatively fast internet (though the cell coverage is a bit spotty in this "holler") making it easier to stay here during the "In Between" times.
The truth is, I just need to enjoy the blessings of God TODAY. There's plenty of work to be done and the next "Mission" is right around the corner.
So, having gotten that off of my mind and heart today, I'm heading to my little work shop and will be tinkering and tweaking our old lawn tractors to get them ready for another mow. We actually mow about 5-7 acres and it's good therapy.
THANK YOU for putting up with my "rambling blog". We so appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

A GREAT "WATER MULE" & A FULL DAY!!
I've known Dave Walen for nearly 40 years. He is a great pilot, a gifted mechanic, an amazing attorney and long-time friend! But, he's also one of our very best "Water Mules"!
He has traveled the world with Air Mobile bringing clean water to the thirsty.
Last weekend, Dave arranged a fund raiser in Wilmington, NC to bring awareness of what Air Mobile does.
THANKS DAVE, along with Aviator Brewery, Jax Fifth Avenue Deli and radio station 98.7!!
Now, this is what happened yesterday. Cindy and I were moving a pile of split firewood. Always good to have a lot of firewood on-hand. Here is the "before" pile.
Just as we were throwing that last log, the phone rang. It was Dave Walen.
He'd just left Barbara Walker's (AKA: "Rambo in the Blue Dress") home in New York.
Barb and her daughter Colleen has found a source for Aircraft Oil and grease for FREE!
Dave had just picked up a load of this precious oil. He offered to meet me on the highway in Virginia to share this gift of oil. I showered and hit the road for the 300 mile jaunt.
5 hours later, we pulled into the parking lot at the same time (pilots like to do that sort of thing). We had a steak dinner and then transferred the precious oil.
Both of our aircraft, the Little Donkey and the Twin Bonanza require regular oil changes. What a blessing!!
After the transfer, we had a word of prayer and Dave was off to Wilmington and me back to the Retreat Cabin in TN. I pulled in around 2:30am. What a day!
One never knows what the day might bring. I wonder what's going to happen today at the Retreat Cabin.
THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!

THE TENNESSEE "OFFICE"
With the wonder of internet, one can operate from "virtually" anywhere. I love the fact that I can make calls and send emails and monitor world news from right here at the cabin.
Thus, this is a "Working Retreat"...so to speak. Of course, there are many advantages, as well as disadvantages to being so "Connected".
There are just times that one needs to "disconnect" and rest. That's where being at the cabin comes in so handy. Mmmm, the best of both worlds.
So, in addition to making critical links for South Sudan, and lining up our next mission to Haiti and scanning world news, Cindy and I will be re-stacking a bunch of fire wood and laying the foundation for a "root cellar". Sounds like fun.
This week, we'll also be plumbing in our "Emergency Generator" to our 500 gallon propane tanks. The generator runs on both fuel and propane. It's good to be PREPARED! Love these projects!!
Time to put on the gloves and go re-stack that firewood. BTW, snakes love nesting in firewood! As always, THANK YOU for your truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

15 HOURS LATER....
Though the ride is pleasant, it can be quite long. A single accident can hold up the Interstate traffic for hours. Such was the case....multiple times on our journey to the Retreat Cabin.
The Florida Sunrise is not quite the same as the Caribbean sunrise at 15,000' but none the less, beautiful through the pine trees.
However, our Ari just enjoyed it all, thanks to books and movies. And, she does have a sip or two of coffee along the way.
Then, we hit the Blue Ridge and the Smokies. Ahhh, this section of I-26 is just spectacular.
This is why the journey is such fun. We don't get tired of the panorama. You can see the "smoke" from the Smokies.
Ari also was glad to be re-united with her sweet puppy, Andy.
Upon arrival....15 hours later, Cindy presented a beautiful "Prairie Dress" that she had been working on. Ari loved it!! Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!!
Oh, it's good to be here with my Cindy. We've missed the cabin, and looking forward to working out of this blessed location for a bit. God is good!
We're getting ready for church and looking forward to a sweet day of rest...to recover from that 15 hour drive.
As always, we do appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!!

We're loading up our trusty Red Ford Escape bound for Tennessee early this morning.
It's a 12 hour drive, but one that we love. Ari is a great traveling companion. She's also eager to see her Mom and her little Andy.
We have our sandwiches packed (and a large coffee thermos) and we're ready to go!
Can hardly wait to see my Cindy. Now that Ari is back from Summer Camp, it's time for us to shoot back up to the Retreat Cabin.
We'll be working from the Tennessee office for the next few weeks.

IN BETWEEN....MISSIONS
So, today our Ari returns from Summer Camp. From all indications, they've had a blast and come closer to Jesus at the same time. That's the way it should be.
Ari will be very glad to see her Passport! This little blue book, opens the world up to her. We've waited a long time for this!
Meanwhile, my Cindy has held down the fort in Tennessee. Yesterday, she and Andy took a "hike" up to the top of Cumberland Gap.
If all goes as planned, tomorrow morning, Ari and I will be heading back up to Tennessee to join Cindy.
We can hardly wait to be together again and enjoy the "In Between" time.
While awaiting our next "mission", we'll be having some sweet time at the Retreat Cabin in the mountains of East TN.
We've been working hard "behind the scenes" on our next mission to South Sudan.... and beyond. All I can say is...things are coming together, in His time.
Time to head out and go pick up Ari. Yea!! As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

John McCain is a true American Hero and has served America well. Please pray for him as he faces this dreadful disease. With God, ALL things are possible.

We did finally receive Ari's U.S. PASSPORT! YEA! This is has been a long and winding road but finally, it's here.

FAITH COMES BY HEARING.....& A VERY INSIGHTFUL ARTICLE ON "FAMINE"
I know that I've shared this with you before, but it certainly bears repeating.
I LOVE the Word of God. But...it's not always easy to get the Word of God into my heart and mind. Fact is...we're just busy and all too often, don't take the time to just hear God's Word.
In comes "YouVersion". No, I'm not selling YouVersion.
I am, however sharing an "App" that really works well. I love hearing the Word as I go to sleep.
If I awaken in the night, I just go to the portion of the Word that I want to hear and push the play button on my phone.
Oh, this does not take the place of "Studying" the Word. It does however increase my FAITH because....FAITH COMES BY HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.
So, if you'd like to download this treasure, here's a link to the website. Just follow the prompts and you can have this amazing tool on your smart phone...or laptop...or whatever device you use. https://www.youversion.com/
Here's a tip for the "Old Timers". If you have a hard time "downloading" the APP, go find a kid around 10-12 years old and they'll help you.
Now, I came across this article this morning explaining the complexities and difficulties in conquering the FAMINE that is ravaging Africa.
Folks, this is the WORST HUMANITARIAN CRISIS SINCE 1945!
And...there is very little being said about it. We've witnessed this first-hand, and plan to return to the region in the near future (details are still being worked out).
Here's the article - WHY IT'S SO HARD TO STOP THE WORLD'S LOOMING FAMINES
I share this story with you that you may know how to PRAY! Remember, PRAYER IS POWERFUL!

Well, Ari made it to Camp and has begun a memorable week, for sure. Gonna miss her smile.
Here's the "Classic" Jump Shot that most campers do as they're about to leave.
After waving goodbye to Ari, it was off to the airport. Paul and I did a good ground run-up, checking for leaks.
Then, it was around the "Patch" for a few take-offs and landings. All is well with "Ti Burik".
We're still doing a lot of work "behind the scenes" for our next South Sudan Mission. We're making slow, but steady progress.
Now, South Sudan faces another enemy...the dreaded "Army-worm". This is certainly exacerbating an already tragic situation. We PRAY!

ARI GOES TO CAMP....
We're up early this morning, doing the final packing for Ari. She's about to embark on her first Summer Camp experience.
She was my assistant yesterday as I shared our Ministry Report at First Baptist Cocoa Beach.
It is always a joy to be with this group of precious Saints of God. My message was on "The Second Coming of Jesus".
Jesus urges us to reach out to the hungry / thirsty / sick / in prison, etc.
The Air Mobile Rescuer is a wonderful tool to bring clean water to the thirsty....thereby, opening the door to share the love of God around the world.
Afterwards, I promised Ari, Chinese at our favorite Buffet. We miss Cindy's home-cooking.
After Ari gets on that big bus for Camp Kulaqua this morning, Paul and I will be meeting to do a "Run Up" and Test Flight on the Little Donkey. I've missed that little airplane!
It's time for that second cup of coffee and a final check on Ari's camping gear.

REPORTING....
Had a wonderful time yesterday in Leesburg, FL at the North Lake 7th Day Adventist Church.
These Folks have been assisting us in Haiti with baby food and formula and it was time to bring them a good REPORT.
This morning, will be heading over to Cocoa Beach. Remember, "I dream of Jeannie"? (BTW, that's for the "Old Timers").
There, at First Baptist, will be giving another report on where Air Mobile has been and where we're going. Yes, I do love my job!
The best thing about REPORTING is getting to meet folks first hand. The most important thing we need is...not money! We need PRAYER!
REPORTING also gives me the opportunity to share what is going on in "Hot Spots" around the world.
For example, here is a story about the terrible FAMINE taking place right now in Africa.
Many Americans don't even know what is happening. Here's more - MOST AMERICANS OBLIVIOUS TO THE FAMINE THREATENING 20 MILLION PEOPLE
REPORTING also gives me the opportunity to share the Word of God and ways in which we can help those who are the "Least of these".

Time for that second cup of coffee and put the final touches on message this morning for the folks in Cocoa Beach.

SMOOTH JOURNEY & A GOOD REPORT
So appreciative for good roads. Been around the world many times, often following disaster areas.
The roads are usually pretty messed up...to say nothing of the road blocks / ambushes, etc.
We, in America, have nice roads and I'm very THANKFUL!
Ari and I embarked on the 750 mile journey and made it from Tennessee to Florida without a single glitch and in record time. We never take this for granted!
Upon arrival in Florida, we took a little stroll in our golf cart and had a lovely "Deer Encounter". Again, we're just THANKFUL for peaceful, lovely evenings. They are a gift from God!
Early this morning, while sipping a cup, I saw this "Deer Silhouette" outside of my window. Love these moments.
Today, I'll be sharing the Word of God at North Lake 7th Day Adventist Church, in Leesburg, FL.

Tomorrow, Ari and I will be heading back to Florida. I have speaking engagements on Saturday and Sunday. Ari will be going to summer camp on Monday and who knows where we'll go next.
One thing is for sure, our "Schedule" is in the Lord's hands and we pray that we go where He wants us to go, when He wants us to go there!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED....FOR NOW
One of my greatest joys in life is telling someone about Jesus. I mean really sharing what it is to have a true and deep relationship with the Savior.
Jesus is our help in time of need / trouble. Even though, one might know Jesus and certainly knows a lot about Jesus, entering into that personal relationship is where true salvation lies.
I can tell you, the love of God has flowed like a mighty river between me and my son.
For the last 2 days, this has been my mission. I can say, "Mission Accomplished.....for now".
This thing I know...The Truth shall set you free.
And, Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life!!
It is time to return to our Retreat Cabin in Tennessee. Will be on a 9 hour road trip.
Please remember to pray for my son, Ben. And, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable and precious prayer, love and support!!

A DEAD I-PHONE.....LOST & FOUND
Before I tell you about my erratic I-Phone, let me say that the "Rescue Mission" is in process and THANK YOU for your PRAYER!!
Back to the I-Phone. From time to time, I think about losing my phone (perish the thought).
Well, I still had it in-hand, but the battery completely died. Even though it was plugged in and showing it was charging...it simply died.
Things were rapidly falling apart!
Oh Folks, how dependent I (we) have become on that little device called a cell phone. So, what did I do?
I PRAYED for that charge to reach that little battery and be accepted. Mile after mile I drove. The compass in my car still worked and I was heading...somewhat in the right direction (but going more east than I should).
Finally, there was a gas station. My tank was on fumes. I paid a few cents more (because the station was so isolated and had NO competition), but I didn't care.
Then...the phone turned back ON with 1% charge and ever so slowly, it began to rise. YEA!
The Navigation showed that I had gone about 20 miles off course, but could find Highway 27 with a couple of turns off of a few, very narrow farm roads. THANK GOD for Navigation!
I skirted just on the edge of those wicked storms and was soon back "On-Course"
and heading to my destination to a young man who needed to spend some time with his father.
We met for dinner and I listened, all the while asking our Heavenly Father to help me hear.
In this life, there are so many traps and deceptions. Certain drugs make those traps so much more powerful and "reality" becomes completely distorted. This is a very dangerous place to be.
But in the midst of the chaos and confusion, the light of the Gospel (and the ALL POWERFUL NAME OF JESUS) burns true.
Yes, I am in the right place at the right time. The love of God and hope and help are coming to this precious young man, named Ben.
We'll meet again today and discuss the strategy to complete the "Rescue" from the clutches of the enemy. I am encouraged and believe that the "Mission", by the Grace and Power of God, will be accomplished.
As always, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

RESCUE....
Yesterday afternoon, the phone rang. Someone, very dear to us is in trouble.
Just before the call for help came in, a meeting that was scheduled, postponed. Divine Providence (the hand of the Lord), opened up the time to GO.
Now, I understand better why we are here in Tennessee (and not half way around the world) at this time.
In just a little while, I'll be on the road (8+ hour drive) to help.
PLEASE PRAY that the GRACE of GOD will flow freely to this dear person. I can't give any more details at this time.
THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

Cindy and I have been spending a lot of time in the Word and specifically studying the Second Coming of Jesus.
We can't seem to get out of Matthew 24-25. IF you really want to know about the Second Coming of Jesus, find out from Jesus Himself.
It seems our Lord wants us to just spend some precious, peaceful time with Him before we "Launch" the next mission.
OK, we can certainly obey that command!
We're working hard around the cabin. It's always good to trim trees and lay up a little firewood at the same time.
We're on our way to Church this morning. How good and pleasant...to dwell together in unity.
So, on this beautiful Sunday morning, we PRAY for our Lord's richest blessings upon you!!
THANK YOU as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

WHEN WILL JESUS RETURN?
Up early this morning and reading Matthew 24 where Jesus answers His Disciples question of..."When will you return, Jesus?" (Verse 3).
In Matthew 24 and 25, Jesus answers that question quite clearly. There will be many signs pointing to this glorious event.
As I read them, my heart was filled with joy and I found myself saying...."Come quickly, Lord Jesus".
What I have found over the years, is to simply read the Word and let it speak to my heart. There are many Commentaries on the Second Coming of Jesus, but the best way to find the answers is just read what Jesus had to say about the matter.
Here is a link to Chapters 24-25. I have put them here to give you the opportunity to read them for yourself and let Him speak to you directly. MATTHEW 24 & 25 NKJV
One thing is for sure, we are closer to His glorious return today...then we were yesterday.
So, today, Cindy and I are moving toward our "Next Mission"....wherever that might be. There is so much need in this world. We simply want to be where He wants us to be, when He wants us there.
For now, we "Wait on the Lord"....and enjoy the moment. We're so THANKFUL for this retreat cabin and this time of peace and rest.
THANK YOU for joining together with us with your precious prayer, love and support!!

A BEAUTIFUL "SMOKEY MOUNTAIN" MORNING
The peace and quiet is healing for the soul. Yes, we absolutely love it up here. The "Dance of the Humming Birds" touches my "Aviator Soul". Oh, we love those little birds!!
We're equipping the "Retreat Cabin" with a generator / solar system to give us electricity for an extended period of time.
We recently came across a great deal on Solar Panels at Harbor Freight.
If you work the coupons, you can get this 100 watt set up for $149.00! That is CHEAP! We're got several of these to keep the batteries charged.
Here's the link to the deal - 100 WATT SOLAR PANEL KIT - HARBOR FREIGHT
While we've been up here, there has been movements and developments on our outreach to South Sudan.
We're continuing to prepare for our next mission to that desperate country. Can't give any details at this time, but things are happening!
We've also got developments on our outreach to Haiti. Looks like a mission there will be coming up soon. Still awaiting details.
In the meantime, we're just enjoying our peace and quiet up here at the "Retreat Cabin".
We're still "glowing" from our visit to the Ark. What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!!
One thing is for sure....NOAH knew how to PREPARE with the help of our Lord!!
THANK YOU, as always for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

THE ARK ENCOUNTER....WOW!!!
Cindy, Ari and I took a pleasant drive up to Williamstown, KY and there, we found THE ARK!
Oh Folks, if at all possible, we urge you to try to get there and see this incredible display.
Believe me, the Word of God comes alive and yes, there was an Ark and there was a flood and you'd just have to experience this awesome Biblical recreation.
Bravo to Ken Ham and all that worked so hard to make this amazing dream come true!!
Not only were we "dwarfed" by the sheer size of the Ark, but the engineering and pure genius of this "Biblical" feat takes one's breath away.
Note, the people behind us in this shot and you see how tiny they appear next to the Ark!
Once "inside" the Ark, the wonder of how they survived and lived and actually "thrived" is just awesome.
We learned about the way food was grown, ventilation, repairs, care for the animals on-board and so much more for the 7 month journey of the Ark until it settled on Mount Ararat. Again, all we can say is WOW!
I can't encourage you enough to try to get to the pretty town of Williamstown, KY at sometime in your life and see this incredible display for yourselves!!
We made it back to the Retreat Cabin before sunset. We just couldn't stop talking about all we had seen. Truly, the Word of God has come alive in our hearts even more!!
Today, we'll be working on our "Generator System" at the Cabin. This will allow us to operate somewhat "Off the Grid" in the event of a "Power Outage"....either short term, or long term.
The Message from our day at the Ark is to be PREPARED and listen to the Word of God and ever be seeking His will for our lives!!
As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

TODAY....THE ARK!
We're going to see the Ark.... in Kentucky. It's only a 3 hour drive. We're up early and getting ready to "hit the road".
Here's more on this amazing display...right out of the Bible. We're excited - THE ARK ENCOUNTER
Yesterday, had one more thing to do to one of the old lawn tractors - replace the Head Gasket.
Thank God for "YouTube". Took it step by step and did it. Cranked up the little engine and it purred and "didn't smoke".
Meanwhile, pieces are coming together for our "Next Mission". There are many details that need to be worked out. Please PRAY that our Lord leads and guides each step of the way!!
So, it's off to see the Ark. THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!

CONQUERING THE "STUBBORN NUT" & SPEAKING OF "NUTS"..... & HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!
A number of you asked about the "Stubborn Nut"....could it be a left-hand thread? Meaning that instead of loosening the nut...was I tightening the nut.
The Answer is: It's a standard right hand thread and YES, finally, after many, many cold chisel hits, it came loose and the threads on the spindle were undamaged. YEA!
Persistence paid off and it was with joy that a new blade was installed and a new, shiny nut was installed.
Cindy and I really enjoyed mowing around the Retreat Cabin. The fresh blades and a new belt made short work of high grass.
Speaking of "Nuts", North Korea is treading on some very thin ice.
The world is running out of patience with these reckless and dangerous acts of defiance.
PLEASE PRAY for the leaders of the world to have extreme wisdom with this guy.
And today, in America, we celebrate our Independence Day. May we ever DEPEND upon our Lord to lead us and guide us. We have so much for which to be THANKFUL in America!!
I awoke early this morning. I just lay there giving THANKS for all of His blessings. Folks, I just named thing after thing after thing. Giving THANKS is a wonderful thing!
May you be blessed today and THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART...& DEALING WITH A "STUBBORN NUT"!
One of my favorite Scriptures is Proverbs 3. Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not unto your own understanding...& HE shall direct your path.
Now, that's the way to live. I need to remind myself of this verse continually.
So often, we have choices before us. The path is not always clear. That's the time to call upon Him for direction.
Here, I'd like to share Proverbs 3 with you. May I encourage you to take just 5 minutes and read it. Let the wisdom of Solomon sink into your heart. PROVERBS 3 NKJV
I need a constant infusion the Word of God in my heart. Far too often, I wing out on my own and don't take the time time just read His Word and allow it to guide my footsteps.
That's one of the reasons Cindy and I love this Retreat Cabin. It just lends itself to our getting the "Sweet" Word of God into our hearts.
Today, I'm "wrestling" with a frozen nut holding the blade on one of our lawn tractors. I tried a long "cheater bar". Tried an impact wrench and even heated it up. It just wouldn't let go.
Then, I "spun" the socket and now have no choice but to "cut" the nut off with a cold chisel. Bang, bang, bang. That stubborn nut will come loose eventually.
All the while, I'll be pondering Proverbs 3 and....asking our Lord for wisdom as to how to get that stubborn nut loose. Mmmm, there's a lesson in all of this somewhere.
So, on this 4th of July "long weekend", we're just hanging around, doing chores and seeking His Wisdom and Direction.
THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

MUCH FOR WHICH TO BE THANKFUL...
As we, in America, approach our Independence Day on July 4th, our hearts are rejoicing in the freedom and ability to "do good" for our Lord.
This FREEDOM is a gift from God. Cindy and I are so THANKFUL to be able to travel the world and bring clean water and help to the thirsty and needy.
Above all, we carry the GOOD NEWS of Jesus!
I awoke early this morning and just pondered the peace and quiet of this lovely valley and our retreat cabin.
We're "Waiting on the Lord" for our next mission assignment. In the meantime, we're just rejoicing that we have a safe and comfortable place to gather our strength for the mission(s) ahead.
We're getting ready for church this morning and again, so THANKFUL that we have the FREEDOM to worship God in this great country.
Yes, GOD IS GOOD...ALL OF THE TIME! May we encourage you to take a moment and "Count your blessings". We have so much for which to be thankful!!
THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with us via this rambling blog. We so appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

A STROLL IN THE PARK....KIND OF
We use our little lawn tractors for more than mowing the lawn.
Ari wanted to take a little stroll, so I offered "our little Princess" a grand ride in the wagon. She quickly accepted and off we went.
Along the way, we picked up a little furry puff ball named "Andy". In the background, you can see our little red cabin.
We love it up here and just cherish each day we have to enjoy it.
In everything, GIVE THANKS!!
As you know, we're working on getting back into South Sudan. We're working on the details at this time.
I can tell you, our main goal in returning is helping the vulnerable, especially the children.
Here's another story, featuring Confident Children and Cathy, the Director. We were privileged to donate an Air Mobile Rescuer to this wonderful refuge for Children.
So, as we recharge and plan, we eagerly await our marching orders to GO.
In the meantime, we'll just enjoy our precious time here at the "Retreat Cabin".
THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!
Hey nice post.. I love the way you presented fullstory and thanks for sharing such a useful information with us.. Orlando House Blessings
