THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES.....DECEMBER 2016

THE FIRST DAY OF....2017

"This is the Day that Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!"

What does 2017 have in store for us?  Cindy and I are excited about what lies ahead.

Some may look at this New Year with apprehension.  We see it as a year of opportunity.  It is as if we've been given some time to do more for our Lord.

Missions are being planned to Haiti, India, Philippines and beyond.  We're securing as many components as we possibly can to make more Air Mobile Rescuers.  We know that it is just a matter of time before the "next disaster" hits.  And....people will need clean water.

Here is a link to the India / Philippines Mission that Cindy will be conducting in February.  We are hearing reports of terrible hunger and despair in the area that we are targeting.  Our Lord is helping us to put an excellent feeding program together with the help of "Deliver the Difference".  2 GIRLS - EPIC MISSION FOR GOD

After the India Mission, Cindy and Katie will go to the Philippines to set up a "Celebrate Recovery Program".  Here's more about this great program - "CELEBRATE RECOVERY"

They will be ministering with Aldrich and James in the  town of General Santos on the Island of Mindanao.    Drug abuse is significant problem in that area and Jesus is the Answer!

We had a delightful visit with Bob and Mairi Bostic of "Deliver the Difference".  While on the India Mission, we'll be establishing a revolutionary way of getting food to the hungry.

Bob & Mairi hit the road yesterday after our great visit.  Excellent plans have been laid for the India Mission.

Oh yes, we're excited about 2017!  It's going to be a GREAT YEAR!!

We PRAY that 2017 will be an amazing and great year for you.  THANK YOU for traveling on this Journey with us.  We so appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

THE LAST DAY....OF 2016

As 2016 comes to a close, we're snug and warm in the cabin and our hearts are yearning for what lies ahead in 2017.

BTW, it's 16 Degrees here this morning.  Chilly!!

If I were to say one word for 2016 it would be "THANKFUL!"  Our Lord has been so good.

He has enabled us to work through problems and challenges and manage to bring food, water, hope and love to a suffering world.  GOD is GOOD!

Yesterday, I brought Ron (Cindy's Dad), Ashely (Peter's Girlfriend) and Peter to Knoxville Airport to fly back to Orlando.  It was great having them here and we'll miss them.

We had more planning and strategy meetings last night with Bob & Mairi of "Deliver the Difference".  We're really looking forward to 2017 to bring food and clean water to a hungry and thirsty world.

Above all, we'll share the Love of God and bring the Good News of Jesus!

We're so THANKFUL for having you along on this Journey for Jesus!  Your prayer, love and support help us each step of the way.  THANK YOU & may you have a Happy & Blessed New Year!!

I WAS HUNGRY....

When we give food to the hungry, we bring joy to Jesus!  Jesus tells us clearly, "when you've done it unto the least of these, My Brethren, you've done it unto Me".

We are blessed to have Bob and Mairi Bostic arrive at the cabin yesterday.  Their ministry, "Deliver the Difference" is responsible for bringing hundreds of thousands, food and other help, in their deepest hour of need.

We spent the evening discussing plans and strategies to deliver food to the hungry at home and around the world in 2017.

As you may know, Air Mobile has wanted to bring food to the starving children of India for some time now.  In February, Cindy will join Bob and Mairi on a mission to India to help bring this to pass.

Learn more about this precious couple and their awesome ministry by checking out their website at:  "DELIVER THE DIFFERENCE"

Air Mobile has partnered with Deliver the Difference many times over the years.  We bring clean water and they bring food.  Praise God, what a great partnership!!

This morning, it's very cold and windy here at the cabin.  We've got a fire going and Cindy is making a delicious Breakfast Casserole.

After breakfast, I'll be bringing Peter, Ashley and Cindy's Dad, Ron to the Knoxville Airport for them to return to Orlando.  We've enjoyed having them with us.  Bob and Marie will spend a bit more time here with us and we'll plan and pray some more.

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

INSIGHT ON ISRAEL....

It appears that the U.S. has "thrown Israel under the bus".  The UN Vote last week puts Israel into an extremely precarious position.  The US "Abstained", thereby supporting the UN Vote.

Here is a very insightful article written by the Chief Rabbi Yitzahk Yosef - US HAS FORSAKEN ISRAEL...WE CAN ONLY TRUST IN THE LORD

As we stand on the threshold of 2017, our prayer is that the U.S. will indeed support Israel, our most solid ally in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, back at the cabin, we're just chilling and enjoying this peaceful time here.  We're getting ready for what lies ahead.

Today, we'll be visited by our great friends, Bob and Marie Bostic of "Deliver the Difference".

We'll be discussing a major food distribution plan in India and beyond.  Bob has always been there when we've needed food for the hungry.

We pray you have a blessed New Year!  And....THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

FAMILY & FRIENDS

Ahhhh.  Good "left-overs", a warm fire in a snug cabin and sweet fellowship with family and friends.  Now, that's the way to spend the time "Between Christmas & New Years".

We had dinner with our dear friends, Richard and Teresa and then went to see "Rogue One".

When the last scene appeared...we cried.  It is sad that Carrie Fisher died yesterday.

Our batteries are getting recharged as we relish this sweet time together.

Today...we'll just hang out and stay warm (it's 22 degrees outside) and enjoy the Season.

We hope and pray that you're having a blessed time.  We so appreciate your faithful prayer, love and support!!

THE TIME "BETWEEN"

The greatest gift given to us is Jesus!  He is our hope and strength!  We celebrate His birth at Christmas and then....comes the NEW YEAR!!

What a glorious time to reflect on the Gift (Jesus) and the Unlimited Opportunities we have before us as we enter into 2017.

The week between Christmas and New Year is a perfect time to reflect on what our Lord would have us to do in His Name!  Our simple prayer is: "Dear Lord, use us for your glory!"

We were so glad to have our daughter Angelica with us for a few days.  It was sad to say goodbye yesterday, but she had to get back to work in Orlando.

Then, Ashely, Peter's good friend arrived an hour later from Orlando.

We're looking forward to spending some time with this precious young lady....and so is Peter.

Today, it's cold and rainy.  A perfect day to stay close to the cabin and light a fire.

This afternoon, we're going to see the new Star Wars Movie "Rogue One".  Should be fun.

Oh, we pray that you have a glorious season and are able to reflect on this "Time Between" (Christmas and New Year).

And...as always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

THANK GOD FOR CHRISTMAS!

The beauty and wonder of Christmas is overwhelming.  What an amazing plan to redeem mankind.

We hope you'll be able to savor the season a bit longer before plunging into life's busyness.

Yesterday was sweet celebrating the birth of our Savior and having an absolutely delicious meal.

The joy of giving gifts to one another helped us to remember the greatest gift of all....Jesus!!

I'm particularly blessed by Cindy who is an amazing cook and her Dad, who is a professional chef.

Peter rescued a baby Cardinal that had found itself trapped in our "Summer Kitchen".

It was a successful rescue as Peter released the little bird...who had no problem flying away.  PETER RELEASES BABY CARDINAL

So, we have a few more days to enjoy this wonderful time in this snug little cabin, tucked away in the mountains of East Tennessee.

Oh, we're blessed!  THANK YOU JESUS!!

We pray that you have a blessed Christmas season.  THANK YOU, as always, for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

CHRISTMAS EVE REFLECTIONS

I awoke this morning around 4:00am to the sound of raindrops on the tin roof of the cabin.  I was warm and comfortable in our snug little cabin.

My mind drifted to multiple images of refugees in camps.  I saw the tattered tarps and sticks and strings to shield against the cruel elements.

My heart broke.  Then...I recalled that Jesus came into this world to help the suffering.

Jesus has come into this world to bring hope and He was come into this world to help us to help others.  Jesus is the Light of the World!

I am so THANKFUL that He has come into my life and redeemed me from the ravages of sin and suffering.  Now, my heart is to tell others about the love of God and His Amazing Grace.

Folks, let us remember and embrace the true meaning of Christmas.  For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son....

Cindy and I pray that our Lord will use us more than ever to reach out to the suffering and hurting in this world.

We're so THANKFUL for this sweet little cabin in the mountains of East Tennessee.  It is a refuge and a place to charge our batteries.

We're looking forward to 2017 and all that lies before us.

May you be extremely blessed this Christmas season and as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart....THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

KIND OF A "WHITE" CHRISTMAS

According to the Weather Channel, it's going to get up to 60 degrees (or so) on Christmas Day here in Tennessee.  Oh well, looks like no "White" Christmas with snow.

But, our Lord does have a sense of humor and did give a sort of "White Christmas" by giving us (FREE!) a sweet little "White Lawn Tractor".  Now, our original "White" has a brother!!

We lit a fire to warm up the little cabin as the temp dropped to 26 degrees.  That's a bit of a change from the 80's in Florida.

After getting the "Brother White" unloaded and charged up, took Ari and Andy for a nice tractor ride.  Sometimes, it's the "Free" things in life that bring us the greatest joy.

OK, enough said about the Little White Tractor.  We're just having the most wonderful time hanging out around cabin, eating good food and watching movies.  God is good!!

So, we'll see what this beautiful crisp day has for us.  Peter and Angelica will be flying into Knoxville today to join us.

Hope you have a Blessed Christmas.  THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

PS - The Lawn Tractor is a "White" Outdoor.

13 HOURS LATER....

We printed up Christmas songs and sang along the way.  We actually love the 13 hour ride from Florida to the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee!

Our Little Red Trailer followed the Red Escape with ease.  We had loaded the Lawn Tractor (the "Treasure" we found at the airport), along with tools and other supplies for the cabin.

BTW, our dear friend and brother, Doug, made that trailer and donated it to Air Mobile years ago.  We've gotten so much use out of that wonderful gift.

We arrived at the cabin in the dark.  Got the trailer stuck coming up the hill and will retrieve it today.

Cindy and I were up early this morning and savored our delicious cup of coffee and just enjoyed the valley.  This place is a GIFT FROM GOD!!

We'll be up here for the while and looking forward to quiet and peace and just enjoying the Celebration of the Birth of our Savior!!

Oh, we hope you have a blessed Christmas!

And....we so appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

"ON THE ROAD AGAIN"

We're up early and heading to the mountains of East Tennessee!  We're leaving, rather warm, Florida and hoping to find a "White Christmas" in Tennessee.

We've got about a 12 hour drive to the "Retreat Cabin" and yes, we're VERY EXCITED!

I've loaded up our newest "Gift", the "Redeemed" little lawn tractor in our trailer.

So, this blog is short and sweet as it's.....TIME TO HIT THE ROAD!

As I say every single day, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

ONE MAN'S TRASH.....

Yesterday, while at the airport, I came across an old broken down riding lawn mower that was obviously "abandoned".

When one "vacates" a hangar, there is often some "Junk" left behind.  Such was the case with the old Lawn Tractor.

Now, this particular make and model turned my head as I drove by and saw this "refuse".  We have the same make and model up in Tennessee.

The tires were flat, the battery dead and it looked like it hadn't been run for years.

As I got up closer, I could see that this could be quite a project.

But....I had a good feeling about the old mower.

Went next to the Airport Authority and asked if they knew about it.  It had been reported as abandoned just that morning.  After a few phone calls, I was awarded this "Treasure".

Now, we had to move fast, as the Airport wanted this "trash" removed quickly.  I phoned Yahn, our trusty "Water Mule" and he showed up and we began the "Transformation".

New tire, battery, oil filter, fuel filter & air filter, changed the oil & the spark plug and then....cranked it up.  It ran like a top.  I took it for a spin around the airport and just couldn't be any happier!

Now, I know that there are multiple lessons that can be gained from this little story.  Certainly, our Lord saw us when we were a "mess" and picked us up out of the junk pile.

We'll take the newly "transformed" lawn tractor up to Tennessee with us.  We're heading up there tomorrow and may even get a White Christmas.

BTW, the model of the newly acquired Lawn Tractor is a "White".

There is something so special about finding some "Trash" and turning it into a "Treasure"!

Trust you have a blessed day today as we approach Christmas.  Also, keep an eye out for some "trash" that you come across the way, as it may be a hidden "Treasure"!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!

THE "PARTY"

Every year, Cindy organizes a grand party at the hospital in Orlando.  Yesterday was "The Party".  I was able to sneak one photo in before any of the patients arrived.  We were joined by our newest volunteer Mary Kate.

Leading up to this wonderful day, a number of Air Mobile Volunteers rallied to make this a great party.  Gifts were wrapped and decorations were hung and above all, love and prayer were shared.

This is the beginning of our 19th year of conducting a full services to multiple units every single Sunday at UBC (University Behavioral Center).

We're THANKFUL to the Administration and Staff for opening the door wide for us to bring in and share the Love of God!

Every Sunday, we bring the Good News of Jesus and it seems every Sunday, hearts are opened and people receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Only our Lord knows how many have responded to the Call for Salvation.  It is such a joy and privilege for us to be part of this move of God!

Well, it's only 6 days til Christmas.  How are you doing with your Christmas shopping?

I know that this is the most "Commercial" time of the year, but it's also a wonderful time to give and share and love and...think about the awesome gift that God gave to us!

May you blessed during this Christmas Season!  Time to head out into this beautiful day.  THANK YOU for your precious love, prayer and support!!

ON THE AIR!!

Yesterday, Kyle, Jim and I flew to Andros Island (MYAN).  Our Mission:  Get Radio 88.5 back on the air.  We had a more powerful replacement transmitter with us and all the "hardware" to make that happen.

We flew the 257 Nautical Miles in just under 2 hours.  Upon landing, we were met by courteous and helpful Bahamian Officials.

They were glad that we were there to put the Christian Radio Station back on the air.

Jim and Kyle got right to work.  They've worked all over the world repairing and maintaining Christian radio stations.

Kyle harnessed up and got ready to climb the tower to replace connections damaged by Matthew.

Kyle climbed up the tower and began his work of replacing the valuable solid brass fittings.

While he was up the tower, my job was to be the "spotter" and be sure Kyle was OK up on that "rickety" tower.

I was relieved when all the connections and inspections were made and Kyle came on down.

Then came the moment....POWER UP & ON THE AIR!!

All the while we were getting that Radio Station back on the air, there was another funeral taking place at the Cathedral Olive Church.  Since the hurricane, there have been an extraordinary number of heart attacks.

Folks have been devastated.  We're blessed to be part of helping to bring hope back with their Christian Radio Station.

On the way back to the airport, our driver took us through some of the devastated areas.  Hurricane Matthew was still a Cat 4 when it ravaged Andros Island.

We quickly cleared Customs and Immigrations and headed back home.  It was nice to pick up a nice tailwind and we got up 236 MPH.

I caught Jim and Kyle snoozing on the way home.  The day began early and these guys worked very hard.

After landing, met Cindy, Ari and Peter for a delicious dinner.  Once home, I was asleep in minutes.  It was a good long day.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!  San Andros now has Christian Radio back.

It's now time for us to head out.  We're having a Grand Christmas Party at  the Hospital today.  So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

 FAITH COMES BY HEARING....

My son-in-law, Kyle climbs radio towers.  He also helps keep Christian Radio working all over the world.  This morning, we'll be flying to Andros Island in the Bahamas (KTIX - MYAN) to bring in a more powerful replacement transmitter.

This will cause the Word of God to beam out further and with greater clarity.  "So then, Faith comes by hearing...the Word of God"!

I love Andros Island.  It is the largest of the 700 Bahama Islands.  Over the years, we've shown the Jesus Film all over Andros.  It'll be a joy to return to this beautiful Island.

Last night, we had a "Hurston Christmas Party".  So good watching all those Grand-Kids play and giggle as we shared gifts and stories.  The party happened at Christian's home.  Praise God for FAMILY!

The weather looks good and it's time to head to the airport.  The flight to Andros is about an hour and a half.  If all goes well, we'll be home this evening.

So, as I say every single day, and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

WISDOM IS BETTER THAN GOLD!

I must admit, getting up every single morning, often quite early, to write a Blog can be a challenge.  There are  times that I have absolutely no idea what to write.  I sit here in front of my laptop, with fingers on the keys and just wait.

I think of what is going on in my life, scan the news, ponder challenges, etc. and then....my fingers began to work and voila, out comes a blog.  All I can say is...some blogs are better than others.

Such was the case this morning (I didn't know what to write).  Then it hit me.  Go to the Proverb of the day!  Today, being December 16th, went to Proverbs 16 and WOW!

Proverbs 16 is just chocked full with God's Wisdom.  OK, all 31 Proverbs are full of God's Wisdom!!

Folks, life can be very complicated and there are so many variables before us every single day.  The question is:  WHY NOT SEEK FIRST GOD'S WISDOM  EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I ask myself that question.  Yes, there are far too many days that I get up and whip out a quick blog and careen headlong into the day and....forget to seek God's Wisdom.

Oh, I pray throughout the day..... Often "Re-Actively" rather than "Pro-Actively".  By taking a little time and opening God's Word and seeking His Wisdom, the day goes much better.  His WILL is better than any plans I might have.

Hear the Words of our Lord Jesus...."SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM....  This is such a better way to start the day!

Now, here is Proverbs 16.  It's 33 Verses are rich and full of His Wisdom.  It only takes about 5 minutes to read.  May I encourage you to take the few minutes and enjoy His Word.  It will be well worth your time - PROVERBS 16 NKJV .

So, as I launch out into this day, may God's will be done!  As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable and precious prayer, love and support!!

A QUIET &...WARM DAY IN FLORIDA

Yes, it's good to be home.  It's particularly nice to swim in a pool where the outside air temperature is 86 degrees.

Meanwhile....the folks in Chicago will be facing a windchill of -30 degrees this morning....brrrrr!  I feel for those folks and understand more clearly why there are "Snowbirds"!!

Remember how I've asked you to PRAY with us for someone to loan us an airplane or two to help get some of these vital supplies down to Haiti?

Well, our good friends at Remote Area Medical (RAM), headed by Stan Brock called yesterday.

Can't say for sure, but....we may be making another "joint flight" down to Haiti right after Christmas and may be able to bring another 2000+ pounds of vital cargo to those who desperately need help!

PLEASE continue to PRAY with us that our Lord continues to make a way for us to help those in deep need!

Meanwhile, our phone continues to ring with folks who have supplies for Haiti and that's wonderful.  However.... here's another PRAYER REQUEST.  Not only do we need the aircraft to fly these supplies into Haiti, but we need FUEL!  This cost $$$.  Av Gas in Haiti is $7:37 per gallon!  That's EXPENSIVE

Folks may ask, "Joe, why don't you just ship it down using a Commercial Carrier?".  The reason is simple.  First, shipping can take weeks and even months.

Second, the FEES involved can be astronomical.  We've found the best way to get supplies into Haiti is to carry them in yourself.  Truly, our Lord has given us great FAVOR with the Haitian Government.  For that, we're eternally grateful!!

When we land in Haiti, there is such JOY as we share the gifts given.  For God so loved the world that He gave us Jesus!  This is the true "Meaning of  Christmas!"

We'll see what the day holds for us.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

THE "ROAD" HOME

Port-au-Prince has a very long runway, but NO taxi way.  That means that often there are 2 airplanes on the same runway at the same time.  Hope they get a Taxi way someday!  This is how my "Road to home" began yesterday.

The first leg of my journey was a 600 mile leg from Port-au-Prince to Freeport, Grand Bahama.  Would be discussing the need for replacement Navigation / Communication equipment.

The route was relatively clear.  Only one build up just to the east of Grand Bahama.  Love days like that.

The first part of the trip began with a nice tailwind.  Trued out at 186 knots (214 MPH).

Tailwinds are like putting money in the bank.  May we have more tailwinds!

Landed right on time at Freeport and while taxiing in saw some of the damage to the Navigation radio system.

The VOR (VHF Omni Directional Radio) has been knocked out since Hurricane Matthew blew through.

Over the years, I've landed at Freeport many times.  Love this Island.

It's also a sad place for me, as my very good friend, Myles Munroe along with several members of his family, died in a tragic plane crash several years ago.

After completing my introductory meeting with the Bahamian Aviation official, it was time for the next leg toward home.

We hope to be able to assist the Bahamian Government with vital support to keep the airways safe and open, particularly during emergencies.

Oh, it's good to be home for a while.  Looking forward to the Christmas season and some peaceful quiet time with my family.

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

NEXT STOP:  FREEPORT GRAND BAHAMA

Up early this morning and will be flying to Freeport, Grand Bahama.  Hurricane Matthew did extensive damage in the Bahamas after it ravaged Haiti.

Will be in meetings with the Head of Air Traffic Control to discuss the situation with their Aviation Communication equipment.  We just may be able to help.  Praise God!

Weather looks good and hope there's a nice tailwind.  BTW, have been all over nearly every Bahama Island showing the JESUS Film as well as doing relief flights after hurricanes.  I love the Bahamas!!

The organization that secured the Meds for Haiti gave Barb permission to go through them and pull any that she might need for the Village.

Barb was able to replenish her stock of Antibiotics.  THANK YOU Dr. Dale and Dorothy!

I then loaded the precious cargo of vital meds and brought them to another Medical Center and put them into the hands of a Security Team.

They will then safely deliver them to Les Cayes and ultimately to "Ground Zero".  Such a blessing to be part of the operation!

From that Med Delivery, it was off to meet with the the Haiti Search & Rescue Director.  We had a productive meeting and prayed together for wisdom and funding to bring Haiti SAR to reality!

Time to wrap it up here in Haiti and head to the Bahamas.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

PICK UP & DELIVERY!

Can't begin to tell you what a joy it is to be in the right place at the right time.  Even though Haiti and the Dominican Republic (DR) share the same island, often, it's not easy to get things from one country to the other.

In comes the Little Donkey.  Yesterday, I took off from Port-au-Prince and made the short 35 minute flight to Barahona, DR.

Normally, it's a 28 minute flight, but had 35 knot headwinds.  The flight takes you through a beautiful valley with 8000' mountains on the southside and 9000+' mountains on the northside.

Here's a little enroute clip from the flight deck of the Little Donkey.

It's been many years since I've landed at Barahona, DR.  Upon arrive, the officials were very gracious and friendly.  Dr. Dale and Dorothy were there to meet me.

We soon had all of the vital meds and surgical operation instruments tucked away in the Little Donkey.

Dr. Dale and Dorothy had been trying to get these life-saving supplies to Haiti for weeks.  And with God's amazing grace and timing, they were soon going to be in Haiti in, literally a matter of minutes!  PRAISE GOD!!

Once loaded and cleared, I was hoping to reverse those headwinds with a strong tailwind.

Yea!!  Had a very RAPID flight back to Port-au-Prince 25 minutes.  WOW!  Love having the Little Donkey.  What a tool!!

Today, will be in Critical Meetings with Haitian Officials regarding  Search & Rescue (SAR).  PLEASE pray that these meetings go well.  Hurricane Matthew certainly demonstrated Haiti's need for a serious SAR operation.  We want to help!!

So, it's time to head out into this beautiful day that our Lord has made.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

A CRY FOR HELP!

Yesteday, was in Port-au-Prince having lunch with the former Director General (DG) of Civil Aviation, Leo Roumer.  He is a good friend and knows a LOT about Aviation in Haiti.

We also discussed the recent Presidential Elections in both Haiti and the U.S.  Leo said that he KNEW that Trump was going to win from the very beginning.  Mmm...Leo is very astute politically.

At the end of our lunch, my phone rang.  It was Dorothy from the Dominican Republic.  Dorothy works very closely with Stan Brock and Remote Area Medical (RAM).

During the early Hurricane Matthew relief efforts, we worked with Dorothy in the most affected areas.  She brought in numerous Medical Personnel from the Dominican Republic to offer tremendous help!

Well, her "CRY" for help was to get thousands of Antibiotics and other vital medical supplies and equipment from Barahona, Dominican Republic (MDBH) to Haiti (MTPP).

They were having problems with their vehicle and could not drive them over.  She asked if there was anything I could do to help??

Well, it just so happened that we have a Little Donkey that can "Gallop" right over there.

I immediately asked Leo about the conditions of the airport and what the International Arrival procedures were.  It was providential that I was with him when Dorothy called.

I recalled the first time I landed in Barahona many years ago.  It was a full Military Airstrip and there were many hoops to jump through.  Those have, according to Leo, been lifted and it's pretty easy to get in and out.

Folks, for hundreds of thousands of Haitians living on the southwest coast, life is extremely difficult following Hurricane Matthew.

Though it's "OUT" of the news, still, sickness and disease is rampant.  Crops have been destroyed, water sources polluted, roads destroyed and for many, there is little or no help.

So, looks like my mission for today is "cut-out" for me.  Heading to the airport to fly to Barahona and get some vital and life-saving medical supplies where they are DESPERATELY needed.

PRAISE GOD for this Glorious Privilege to serve Him!!  THANK YOU, as always for standing with us with your precious and vital prayer, love and support!!!

CLEAN WATER DELIVERY

Flew the Little Donkey to Les Cayes yesterday.  Normally, a 4+ hour grueling drive.  The flight takes 37 minutes. That's the way to go!

Along with me, had Jose and Kindra of "Vision 4 Word", a relief mission deeply involved in Haiti after Hurricane Matthew.

Kindra worked very closely with R.A.M. (Remote Area Medical) doing the food drops into the hardest hit areas.

They accompanied me on the Cayes flight to be trained on the Air Mobile Rescuer and meet with their crew on the ground.

When we landed, I was met by my dear friend of many years, John Vrooman.  Cindy has known John & Diane for nearly 40 years.  They are amazing missionaries and we love them!!

John was there to assist me in the training session.  The Air Mobile Rescuer is an awesome machine.  John and I have deployed Rescuers all over the Cayes Region.

Today, we'd train team members from the Gascov Clerge Foundation (GCF).  GCF has been on the "front lines" of relief since Hurricane Matthew ravaged the southwestern tip of Haiti.  God bless these folks!!

GCF sent a wonderful delegation of Trainees and they were excellent students!  It was a pleasure training them on the simple operation and maintenance of the Air Mobile Rescuer.

At the end of the training, my favorite task is to present the Air Mobile Rescuer.  These folks will use this machine to save lives and bring clean water to the thirsty!!  Yes, I love my job!!

BTW, if you'd like to know about Gascov Clerge Foundation, here's their website - GASCOV CLERGE FOUNDATION

Afterwards, we bid farewell to John and the GCF team and flew back to Port-au-Prince.  John snapped this shot as we took off.  Pretty little bird!

Once back in Port-au-Prince, we presented an Air Mobile Rescuer to Kindra of "Vision4Word"

Kindra is going into some of the hardest hit areas and often treks in by foot.  The Rescuer will be invaluable, life-saving tool for her missions.

Yes, "Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops!"  So, what does this day hold?  Since "This is the day that the Lord has made",   I'm rejoicing and holding tightly onto His hand.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

THE GALLOPING DONKEY!

With all 14 fuel tanks plumbed and pumping properly, the Little Donkey could finally get back in the air carrying vital supplies to those devastated by Hurricane Matthew in Haiti.  YEA!!

On Wednesday afternoon, Cindy and Ari helped me sort through the supplies and put a beautiful load together.

The loading process takes hours and at times, it's difficult to decide what to bring and what to leave behind.

Early yesterday morning, after some sweet time in prayer and...a careful look at the weather, decided it was time to GO!

Arrived at the airport before sunrise, did a final top off of fuel, a close inspection and a final Weather Check.  There was only 1 storm along the route and...it was growing rapidly.  Better get going.

Storms in the Caribbean have a tendency to grow at lightening speed and even "explode" with fierceness.  This storm was between South Florida and Cuba and moving eastward at about 40+mph.

I climbed to 15,000 feet and waited for the beautiful sunrise.  I knew in just about an hour or so, would need to deal with that looming storm ahead.

Here's a quick video from the "Flight Deck" of the Little Donkey as I was leaving Florida behind -

As I approached the storm, was very THANKFUL for all of those fuel tanks, which were working beautifully!

I could hear airliner after airliner deviating around this bad boy and as I got closer to it, I could see why.  This thing was ugly and getting uglier by the minute!

You know, in life, we can simply "side-step" some storms.  We don't have dive into them.  Hmmmm, there's a good lesson there.

Well, I called Miami Center and asked for a left deviation and made a 90 degree turn AWAY from that honker.  After a few miles....AHHHH, CLEAR SKIES AND SMOOTH SAILING.

The rest of the flight was literally smooth as silk.  Managed to average around 170 knots and the Little Donkey flew like a dream!!

Landed at Port-au-Prince right on time.  The Haitian Officials were gracious (I never take that for granted).  Our Lord has truly given us FAVOR in Haiti!!

Barb was there.  We loaded up the "GOODS" and headed to the Village.  Here I am, sitting at my "Haiti Desk", sipping a delicious Mocha Latte and thanking God for the privilege to serve Him!!

Will be delivering a number of Air Mobile Rescuers today to "Ground Zero".

Folks are thirsty, hungry and sick.  The storm has destroyed their crops, roads and homes and there is no Government "Safety Net" for these, "The least of these among us"!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

EARLY....

The most peaceful time of the day is in the early hours.  Most are in their deepest sleep.  It's a very calm & tranquil time.  It's a good time to reflect and pray.

The Psalmist David was an early riser.  It's a great way to start the day.

Sitting here with a good cup of coffee, I'm overwhelmed by God's unfailing love.

Some are, by nature, early risers. Others are not.  If you're in that category (late riser), may I encourage you to give it a try.  Just go to bed a bit earlier than usual and set the alarm earlier than usual.

If you drink coffee, I strongly urge you to pour a good cup.  Pull out your Bible and just see if the Lord won't meet you there.  What have you got to lose.....give it a shot and see.  Your day will probably go better.

Have a lot of work to today.  Heading to the airport early to get things ready for the "next mission".

I know I tell you this every single day, but I mean it with all of my heart...THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

75 YEARS AGO TODAY

Many members of my family went to WAR because of what happened on this day 75 years ago.  Let us remember.

The attack on Pearl Harbor changed the course of history and resulted in millions of lost lives and untold suffering.  WAR is a terrible thing.

One would hope that we would learn from History, but unfortunately, HISTORY DOES REPEAT ITSELF.

However, I know, according to the Word of God, that Jesus is coming back and God's peace will rule and reign on this earth.  PLEASE return soon, Lord Jesus!!

May God's Will be done on earth as it is in heaven!!  It's time to head out into this beautiful day.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A SURPRISE VISIT

Yesterday was a BLESSING!  Met with Dr. Daniel from Ecuador, along with his family.  He came to the U.S. to tell us THANK YOU for the Air Mobile Rescuer!

Following the devastating earthquake that rocked Ecuador, Air Mobile was able to go there and bring clean water to the thirsty.

Among the many great people we worked with was Dr. Daniel.  His Medical Foundation reaches thousands with life-saving health care.

It was our joy to present him with an Air Mobile Rescuer.  He went right to work with this wonderful tool and gave clean water to thousands.  God bless you, Dr. Daniel!

I recall training Dr. Daniel.  He was a good student and even drank water from the bucket that had my hot, sweaty foot in.

This is the part of my job that I love!!

Looking forward to returning to Ecuador and working with Dr. Daneil!  BTW, CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) funded 20 Rescuers for Ecuador.  THANK YOU, Brian Scott & CBN!!

After meeting with Dr. Daniel and his family, headed over to Orlando to have dinner with Joe Polozola.

You may recall, it was Joe who, 47 years ago, fearlessly and relentlessly told me how much Jesus loved me....even though I was a "Rascal".

The message finally penetrated my thick skull and stony heart and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.  Joe is my best friend on this earth.

We get together regularly and have a delightful time remembering old stories and most important, PRAYING TOGETHER.  Thank God for friends who don't let friends go to hell.  THANK YOU, JOE!

Paul, our mechanic, has that cable installed and we hope to take the Little Donkey up for a test flight today.  Looking forward to flying that sweet bird again.

Time to head out into this beautiful day and see what our Lord has in store.  It's sure to be a wonderful adventure.  As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

REFRESHING....

It's good to hear real Christmas Carols (& not HOLIDAY SONGS) being sung throughout America.  It seems there's a new freedom to express one's faith and not be so dang... "Politically Correct".

Who knows...we may be moving toward putting CHRIST back into CHRISTMAS & that would be a GOOD MOVE!!

Yes, Cindy and I believe that America is steering "Back on Course".  We are a free nation and should be able to express our FAITH!  Yes, it's REFRESHING!

We'll be working on the Little Donkey today, getting it ready for the next "Mission to Haiti".  Paul (our Mechanic) told me that the cable to switch fuel tanks has arrived.  Yea!!

Hope you're enjoying the Season and remember, it's all about Celebrating the Birth of Jesus, the SAVIOR of the world!!  Be blessed!

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

CINDY IS A CHAMPION!!

Yesterday afternoon, my Cindy ran the Annual "Lights of Hope" 5K and won, First Place for the Spirit Award for the best costume (she ran as Mary with Baby Jesus) and then...

She placed #2 in her age group.  BTW, she broke her record from last year by over 1 minute!  Yea Cindy, so proud of you!!

Cindy is not only beautiful and caring and faithful, she's a TROOPER!

We've traveled the world together bringing clean water and hope and the Good News of Jesus to the suffering and hurting.  I love my Cindy and am so PROUD of her!!

And today, we'll be back at the Hospital in Orlando, bringing the Good News of Jesus to those who are hurting.

So, it's time to get on with this beautiful and somewhat chilly day down here in Florida.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART.....

In between "Missions" is where I find myself.  Have big piles of excellent supplies for Haiti and must sit patiently and wait for a part to come in.  Then, the Little Donkey can begin to "deliver the goods" to those who desperately need them.

So....what do I do?  Go to God's Word and get His direction.  It's December 3rd, open the Book of Proverbs to Chapter 3 and what do I find..."TRUST IN THE LORD..."

Proverbs 3 has always been one of my favorite Proverbs.  Dear Lord, please direct my path!  If you haven't read it lately, here you go - PROVERBS 3 NKJV

Hopefully, that cable will come in today and we can get that Little Donkey back in the air.  As always, and I mean this with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

CHOOSE WISDOM

Sometimes, when I sit before this old laptop to write a blog, I just don't know what to say.  That's the time to go to Lord and ask for Wisdom.

Of course, to stay on course, the best place to find God's Wisdom is the Word of God and the Book of Proverbs is FULL of God's Wisdom!

Just so happens that I often match the day with the Proverb.  Since Proverbs has 31 Chapters (one for every day), today I just read Proverbs 2.  WOW!

Folks, our Lord has all the Wisdom we will ever need for absolutely any situation in our lives.  All we have to do is ASK & OPEN THE BOOK!

Here you go, I'd like to drop a Pearl of Wisdom in your hand...just click here to read all 22 Verses of  Proverbs 2 - PROVERBS 2:1-22

So, no matter what you might be facing today, things will go better for you if you gird yourself with Wisdom from God's Word.

There, you have my simple words of encouragement directly from God's Word today.

As always, and I mean this with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

MADE IN AMERICA.....TRENDING!

As a Small Business man, I love MANUFACTURING things in AMERICA!  As a matter of fact, the Air Mobile Rescuer is made entirely in America and we'll keep it that way.

You see, it's extremely important to assure a reliable "Supply Chain".  We like to be able to lay our hands on all of the parts to keep CLEAN WATER flowing through good times and bad times.  Have you ever been "Cut-Off"??

Yes, we PRAY that MADE IN AMERICA will grow and become a "Movement".  It's time for millions to go back to work.  There is a dignity and grace in working hard and being rewarded for it.

Now, I realize that the 1000 or so jobs that have been saved in Indiana (Carrier) may not seem like a lot, but if this does continue and we pray that it does, America will be a better place and this country will be able to reach and help others around the world as never before.

Again, I further realize that some people are upset about the Presidential Election, but the bottom line is...America needs to go back to work.  May MADE IN AMERICA TREND UPWARD!

In the meantime, we're working hard to get the Little Donkey ready to fly and bring vital supplies to Haiti.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!
