A LITTLE LOW ON CARITLIDGE & A COUPLE OF "BONE SPURS" TO BOOT....
Cindy had to bring our son, Peter, to the airport, in Knoxville yesterday.
BTW, Peter made it back to Florida safe and sound.
THANK YOU ALLEGIANT AIRLINES!
Well, my good friend and Brother-in-Christ, Dennis West, offered to take me to the to Doctor.
There, the X-Rays revealed that I was VERY low on cartilage in my knee (bone against bone) and a very painful couple of "BONE SPURS" shooting excruciating pain with every step...OUCH!
Apparently, that "paver slide" down the steps aggravated my knee and brought forth the reason for the pain.
After an injection of cortisone, I experienced instant relief. PRAISE GOD & THANK YOU for your PRAYERS!!
Now, with a little physical therapy, that old knee should do it's job of helping me to get around better.
Cindy and I prayed and asked our Lord for WISDOM....and a GOOD DOCTOR & HEALING. Our Lord graciously provided!!!
So, on this blustery, stormy morning, here in the mountains of East TN, we're just riding out this storm in our cozy "Retreat Cabin".
I'm enjoying a good cup of Community Coffee and an in-depth study toward getting my CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) rating.
So, as I say every single day and truly mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

Oh, the day was absolutely perfect for Ariana's 16th Birthday!
Before the party began, here is the lovely cake that Cindy baked with a quick scan of our setting.
Friends and family arrived to celebrate this wonderful day.
Peter flew in for the Party. So good seeing him!!
The girls had to spend some time with the horses, Ti Gato and Sparrow.
We kept the grill going and had lots of delicious food.
I was the designated "Grill Master"...AKA - JOE KABOB!
Ari was showered with lovely gifts. What a day!!
Just had to share this glorious day and celebration of an amazing young lady.

Her actual Birthday is May 2nd, but we'll take advantage of this beautiful Saturday for our little party here at the "Retreat Cabin".
Cindy and I are so proud of Ari and THANK GOD everyday for giving us this wonderful gift.
She is an Honor Student, a gifted author and has a very sweet and compassionate heart for others.

AUTOMATION IN THE COCKPIT....
Now, that I've renewed my pursuit of obtaining my CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) rating, I've gone back to BASICS.
One advantage to the old E6-B is that the batteries never go dead...
I love getting up early in the morning, putting on a pot of "Community Coffee" (from my hometown of Baton Rouge) and doing a full Weight & Balance the old fashioned way.
Of course, the thought of..."What if the GPS goes out", or "There's an electrical glitch that knocks out all of those "fancy avionics" on a dark and stormy night."
Yes, it's good to go back to basics and know how to figure out how to "aviate" & navigate if things go wrong.
And....beyond "KNOWING" how to do it, but to "TEACH" others how to do it, is a big challenge for me.
So, bright and early, on this crisp morning in the Mountains of East TN, I'm about to take another 100 question test and get ready for the next step in this journey to getting my CFI.
And...on DAY 3 of our COVID-19 Quarantine, Ariana and I are awaiting the results of our tests to see if we have it.
It's all in His Hands and we trust Him with the results.

DAY 2 QUARANTINE....ALL IS WELL
As Ariana and I go into Day 2 of our Quarantine, we're feeling just fine and not demonstrating any symptoms.

Ari is able to "stay up" with her class on-line and I'm taking the time to continue to study for my CFI.
As I've said so many times before, I LOVE AVIATION and truly enjoy the wonder and beauty of flight. God is so good to give us these gifts!!

QUARANTINE!
Yesterday evening Cindy arrived safe & sound from seeing her Mom, Helen, in Massachusetts.
And...Helen's doing well. PRAISE GOD!
Around 8:00pm yesterday evening, the phone rang. It was the Assistant Principal at Hancock County High School. One of Ariana's Teachers has tested POSITIVE FOR COVID-19.
On Friday, Dennis West and I demonstrated the Air Mobile Rescuer at the High School.
So, for the next 7 days, we'll be in QUARANTINE here at the "Retreat Cabin".
Will make good use of this time by studying for my CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) test.
We're just taking it easy and PRAISING GOD for a good safe place to ride out the QUARANTINE!

CINDY'S....ON THE ROAD TO HOME - PRAISE REPORT!
She was released from the Hospital yesterday and transferred to a Rehab Facility.
BTW, Helen's illness was not Covid-19 related. The Medical team is confident to have found the cause and the treatment is going very well.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!
We're so THANKFUL for our Lord's intervention and Helen's remarkable response to treatment.
PLEASE continue to PRAY for Helen and for Cindy to have a safe and pleasant journey home. It's a long 2 day drive.
So, for me, it's time to go take care of the ducks, donkeys and horses here at the Retreat Cabin.
GOD IS GOOD....ALL THE TIME!!

A REVIEW FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL....& UPDATE ON CINDY'S MOM (A GOOD REPORT)!
First of all, have to give you a GOOD REPORT on Cindy's Mom. She is doing remarkably well and responding wonderfully to her treatment.

Wanted to give a bit more info on our Hancock County High School presentation of the Air Mobile Rescuer.
This short video was taken just before the students arrived.
Of course, couldn't photo any students for Confidentiality Rules. But the cafeteria was a packed house and the students were GREAT!!
The most "telling moment" in the Presentation is when I actually drink the water from the dirty, filthy bucket... AFTER it goes through the Air Mobile Rescuer.
From that moment on, the students were fully engaged and saw with their own eyes just how effective the "Rescuer" is in cleaning very dirty water.
During the Presentation, I encouraged the Students to think (out of the box) how they can help make dirty water clean to save lives!
We look forward to returning to the High School and do some additional testing and discussion of ways to make this remarkable machine even better. Going to be fun!
The local Deputy for School Security got in on the presentation and drank a little Air Mobile CLEAN WATER with me.
Last week, our very own Ariana was named 9th Grade Student of the Month. We're very proud of her!!
She and I were both interviewed by the Local Sneedville Paper.
I hope I didn't embarrass Ari too much (LOL).
Well, it was quite a day and so THANKFUL to be able to encourage the students to find ways to help others in need, especially in bringing CLEAN WATER to the THIRSTY!!

CINDY ARRIVES....HER MOM'S GETTING BETTER!!
I'm very pleased to say that Cindy arrived in Massachusetts yesterday evening after 2 days of hard driving. She went straight to the Hospital.
She found her Mom, Helen, off of the ventilator and awake and lucid and doing remarkably well! PRAISE GOD!!
THANK YOU all for your PRAYERS!!
PLEASE continue to do so as Helen re-gains her strength.
Cindy will be there for a few days.
Again, we're PRAISING GOD for these ANSWERED PRAYERS!
Yesterday, Dennis West and I had the privilege demonstrate the Air Mobile Rescuer to the Biology & Chemistry classes at Hancock County High School.
The students were GREAT and gave us very good attention and asked a lot of questions.
Our PRAYER is that remarkable Scientists will come out of this school. Again, what a privilege to share this gift of CLEAN WATER with these students.
BTW, it was fun seeing Ariana holding her Student of the Month Award!

I love demonstrating our remarkable unit to young people with the hope of inspiring them to tackle tough problems like...."WATER -BORN DISEASES".....which kill MILLIONS of people around the globe!!

I've been doing intensive aeronautical studies in preparation for obtaining my CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) Rating.
Yesterday, it was a 4 cup of coffee day and studying until midnight.
Truth is....I'm truly enjoying this study as I LOVE FLYING!!
Yes, there have been starts & stops on this pursuit but....this time, it's going to happen!!
Will keep the coffee flowing and finding even more ways to use the E-6B flight computer.
And, today, here in the mountains of East TN, it's cold and rainy and we may even get a tiny "smattering" of snow.

Have sure missed the fellowship...due to Covid-19. We're all well and healthy and for that, we THANK GOD!!
Speaking of Covid-19, a dear friend and brother of mine, Wayne DeYoung pointed out the BILLIONS who have survived and been healed of the dreaded virus. PRAISE GOD!!
Here is what Wayne wrote regarding Covid-19
"We give him glory and praise for the billion covid healings he has accomplished too. I am one of those along with many in our family and a hundred cousins. Only two got seriously sick and one of the two has lots of medical problems. 100 plus elderly in our church have also had it. None went to ICU. Christians need to give Jesus their praise for almost 99% healing w/o hospital intervention or vaccines. We love you and thank the Lord for you."

AN OLD MOTORCYCLE INJURY....
Suddenly, an old raggedy Haitian dump truck crossed the imaginary centerline of the road and came straight at me.
I went over to the right to give him plenty of room, but he just kept coming straight at me. I ran out of pavement, and was on the rocky shoulder when.....
With no where to go, I started going up a berm and the little blue motorcycle began to flip.
In a desperate move, I threw my left leg out to stop the fall and in a split second and in a tiny fraction of an inch, the truck passed and I swerved to a stop. Safe...but injured.
My knee was screaming at me with pain, but that knee (and our Lord!) saved my life!!
Over the years, the knee goes out, and now, it is happening more and more frequently.
At times, I can't even walk. This morning, after a rough night, in prayer, I felt our Lord speak to me and say..."I WANT to heal your knees (both of them)."
I'm certainly glad to go to the doctor and have it X-rayed. However, if our Lord "WANTS" to heal me, I'm certainly up for that!!
Would you please join together with Cindy and I for a complete healing, with or without the doctor?
I know that I say this every day and I mean it with all of my heart..... THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

We spent the day in great fellowship and planning.
Michael will be going to the Philippines to work in the very areas where Cindy and I have been. So glad that our Lord is leading him that way.
We LOVE the Filipino People and look forward to ministering with Michael when he get there.

Yesterday, Cindy took her Tennessee Realtor State Examination and PASSED!!!
There are some amazing pieces of property available and now, Cindy can use her gifts and skills to help folks find the property of their dreams.
Cindy studied hard for this test and passed it first-time with flying colors!
Today, Michael Hulsey and I will be going over the operation of the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier.
Michael is in training to become a "Certified Water Mule"!
This will be a wonderful tool to demonstrate God's Great Love to the Filipino people! The gift of CLEAN WATER is a great gift!!

I met Michael Hulsey several years ago here at the "Retreat Cabin". We have been good friends ever since.
Recently, Michael shared that our Lord was calling him to the Philippines.
Cindy and I have a deep love for the Filipino people and rejoiced in this news.
Well, Michael will be coming here today to get advance training on the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier. This will be a vital tool in his ministry in the Philippines.
Again, I'm reminded of those good words from my Pastor of many years ago...."Son, don't forget, God knows how to deploy His troops!!"

Over the years, we've found that by doing this for others, hearts open wide, to the Love of Jesus. We often gain amazing opportunities to share the Gospel and bring the LIVING WATER!
Of course, we're ever reminded of the Words of our Lord Jesus...."I was thirsty and you gave me to drink".

Here at the "Retreat Cabin", we're PREPARING FOR....
You know, it's just a matter of time before something happens that mandates an Air Mobile deployment.

We're planning to move production of the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier up here in Tennessee.
This vital move will likely be in the next month or so. We're EXCITED about this!!
At the same time, Cindy and I are preparing our garden for our Spring Planting. Our garden last year was a wonderful success.
We're also working hard to be "self-sufficient" here at the "Retreat Cabin".
We're able to get our own water from our good deep well. We can generate our own electricity from solar panels and generators and of course, grow our own food.
We ask our Lord for His Wisdom and Direction daily. Our goal is to be able to help folks in need, especially with CLEAN WATER....an absolute "Non-Negotiable" following most any disaster.
So, where will we go next? We don't know, but we do know Who does? That's why we're just getting READY for our next mission.

GOD IS GOOD.....ALL THE TIME
On this beautiful, "Smokey" morning in the Mountains of East TN, all I can say is....GOD IS GOOD...ALL THE TIME!
Both Cindy and I have been very busy "studying" here at the Retreat Cabin. Cindy is about ready to take her "Real Estate" License Exam.
This will be a great blessing to many, as I know that she'll do a great job as she does with everything. GO CINDY!!
And after numerous starts and stops, I've resumed my own study toward becoming a Certified Flight Instructor. And...I'm really enjoying the study.
Aviation has always been a deep love of mine, since I was a little boy.
I believe our Lord put that love into my heart and....he lets me go do it, FOR HIS GLORY!
Yes, GOD IS GOOD....ALL THE TIME!!
For today, we're simply enjoying life and soaking up the grace and favor of our Lord!!

A NEW "WATER MULE".....
It was a pure joy meeting Steve Smith, Retired Scientist from the National Lab in Oak Ridge.
Our good friend, Mark Scarbrough arranged this wonderful meeting.
Steve and I spent hours and hours going over the operation of the remarkable Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purifier.
Folks, Steve "got it", as far as the amazing water purifier, that can produce so much clean water on such a small amount of electricity in such a compact and efficient package.
This machine is truly a gift from God!!
Steve has offered to help us get the word out, and also arrange additional "testing" that will verify this machines "near miraculous" capabilities.
BTW, being an Air Mobile "Water Mule" is a high honor....in our humble opinion.
Jesus encourages us to....BRING CLEAN WATER to the THIRSTY! "I WAS THIRSTY AND YOU GAVE ME TO DRINK"!
I'm also reminded of my dear Pastor's encouraging words (from Pastor Roy Stockstill), many years ago...."Now son, don't forget, God knows how to deploy His troops"!
PRAISE GOD!!
We're so glad to have Steve on-board helping us to bring CLEAN WATER to a thirsty world!!

OLD FRIDGE....FINISHED & "GEARING UP".....
Just had to show you the restored, 74 year old Westinghouse. It's a beauty!!!
Things back then, were built to last. Again, I'm sure there's a good lesson here.
Wanted to share, got a phone call from the Executive Director of Operation Blessing yesterday.
He approved the order for an Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier. PRAISE GOD!!
You may recall, we recently met with the Chief Water Sanitation Engineer for Operation Blessing. We conducted several tests and the results were fantastic.
We're "GEARING UP" for the 2021 Hurricane Season and whatever other disasters might come.
We look forward to working with Operation Blessing on future missions.
We're also beginning the process of moving the Assembly Operation for the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier up here to Tennessee.
Folks, overall, life is good and the power of the Resurrection is brewing in my heart.

AN OLD FRIDGE....
When Cindy and I bought the "Retreat Cabin" nearly 10 years ago, we inherited an old fridge in our outdoor kitchen.
Didn't pay much attention to it. It was just there, still plugged in and still cold.
Over the years, we'd throw some overflow fridge stuff in it when ours got full.
Then, we began to do some research and found out that it was a Westinghouse Model-9 built in 1947.
The QUALITY of construction was mind-blowing. Folks took a lot of pride in what they built back then.
Truly, this old Fridge was built to last!!!
So, we spoke to our good friend, Rich, who is the "Master of Much" and found out that he was over 14 paint shops and KNOWS how to properly prepare and paint old stuff.
So, here's how our day went yesterday. Rich began by sanding and preparing the old Fridge.
Then, he put on the Primer and continued to rub out the rough spots.
Then, he put on the first coat and the old Fridge began to come alive with it's elegant beauty.
Finally, he put on the 2nd Coat and all I can say is...WOW!
After letting it all dry, today we'll be putting the inside back together.
Soon, the old Fridge will be in our new cottage that we just finished building.
Oh well, just thought I'd share the story of the old Fridge with you! I'm sure there are a couple of good lessons here.

MONDAY AFTER....
So, after Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday, where do we go from here?
My soul is refreshed and renewed from spending precious time with my Savior this past week.
Just meditating on what the Resurrection means and the power it gives us, is GLORIOUS!
Today, I'm ready to face life with more strength and joy.
My hope and prayer is that my faith in God will increase and not "retreat" into mediocrity.
But it need not be a surrender, but may it be a challenge to rise higher and go deeper into my faith in Jesus when circumstances go awry.
May my life be more effective in the Service to my Lord!
So, on this Monday after....may my life gain more victory and joy in Jesus.
May HIS RESURRECTION be more powerful in my life!
May you be EXTREMELY BLESSED today!

HE IS ALIVE!!
Jesus is DEFINATELY ALIVE! I know, because I know that I know that I know.
HE has brought us through so many things. HE has come through for us time and time again!
My faith has only grown stronger over these last 50 years of walking with HIM & HE with me!!
The simple and undisputable fact is that HE LOVES US & GAVE HIMSELF FOR US!!
Today, we CELEBRATE HIS RESURRECTION! PRAISE GOD!!
May you be BLESSED TODAY! Open up your Heart to Him! It will be the best choice you will ever make!!

Friday comes before Sunday. Jesus made the way for us to the Father's Heart! He paid the price for us in full!!

Folks, when we deal with the sin issues in our life, we gain full and open access to Heaven.
We gain so much, that words fail me to describe just how good and glorious it is to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
May I urge you to take a few moments and ponder this glorious gift. No matter what you may be facing, the gift of Salvation conquers it all. Let Him in and let Him heal you.

Well, it looks like the rain has stopped....for a while here at the Retreat Cabin. No major flood damage, thank God!
All this rain has made our soil especially rich and good for our spring planting. Again, thank you Lord!
May I encourage you to take some time out this week and just think about what Jesus as done for us.
Believe me, it will increase your faith and open new channels of love, from God to you.
