THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES.....DECEMBER 2017

2018 -  A PERFECT TIME TO PLAN

Had a wonderful meeting with Stan Brock, President & Founder of Remote Area Medical (RAM).

After dropping Peter, our son, at Knoxville International early yesterday morning, I swung by the RAM HQ where Stan and I discussed plans for 2018.

Even as I type, RAM Volunteers are preparing for a major medical outreach in Haiti.

Air Mobile was able to help get critical supplies into Haiti for this mission.

This is a perfect example as to how RAM and Air Mobile work together around the world.  Stan and I are both challenged and encouraged by what lies ahead in 2018.

Among our plans in 2018 is the possible usage of a larger aircraft to carry out our missions of mercy around the globe.

We're presently looking at a beautiful MD-83 owned by Tri-Star Experience in Kansas City, MO.

Now Folks, I'll tell you, this a "long-shot", as there are many, many details to work out, but...."WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!"  We're believing God for a Miracle to see this come to pass.

An aircraft of this type would allow us to arrive at any disaster around the world with a RAM Medical Team, Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers and team members ("Water Mules")  to deploy them and supplies and food.

With just one flight, we could bring in clean water for hundreds of thousands, critical medical care and food for thousands!  WOW!

Again, we are seeking our Lord's will and direction in this matter.  I am ever reminded of the Words of our Lord Jesus in Matthew 25:34-36.....

So, on this bitterly cold first day of 2018, we're staying warm (glad for that firewood we cut and split).

It's 5 degrees outside at our little cabin in the mountains of East TN ...BRRRR!

Cindy and I are believing our Lord Jesus for great things ahead.  We don't know what 2018 holds, but we do know WHO does!!

God bless you and THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!!

TURNING THE PAGE....

We're standing on the threshold of a New Year.  What lies ahead?

2017 held many challenges from floods to typhoons, to hurricanes, to war and so much more.

We're THANKFUL to our Lord for enabling us, together, to GO & bring relief with clean water, food, medicine to the suffering.

Because of God's Amazing Grace and His great love toward us, we've been able to go and share His love with others in need.  Again, for that we are THANKFUL & GRATEFUL!

We know that many challenges lie ahead and we're preparing and planning for 2018.

This morning, after dropping Peter, our son, at the airport in Knoxville, TN, I'll be meeting with Remote Area Medical (RAM) to discuss future plans for this year.

BTW, we're still 'squeaking' by with a microscopic bit of internet signal, thanks to my trusty I-phone sitting on the edge of our roof on the east side of the cabin.  Eventually....we hope to have full internet back here.

It's just wicked cold here with record lows.  We've got the fire going in the old wood stove and we're THANKFUL for plenty of firewood.

Our little Andy knows where the warm spot lies.  Let the cold winds blow!!

So, my dear Brothers & Sisters, you've been on many a journey with us and we're THANKFUL for your invaluable and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

May 2018 be a wonderful year for you!!  God bless and THANKS AGAIN!!

Cindy, Ari, Peter and I were watching a "Master Piece Theater" Series "Poldark" when the internet "flicked off".  That was 12 hours ago.

BTW, we're really enjoying the series.

We reset the router, but to no avail.  So...we waited.  This happens from time to time and after an hour or so, the internet returns.  Not this time.

There is one place, where the tiniest signal comes to the cabin.  It's near the roof on the east side of the cabin.  If one moves, literally 6 inches in any direction, the signal is lost.

I managed to squeeze out a call to our Internet Provider on my cell phone.  Yep, we have a problem.  It is only our cabin that is affected.  Seems to be a hardware failure with the provider.

The next service technician will not be available until NEXT THURSDAY.  Such is life in the mountains of East TN.

So, with this "microscopic" connection, I write this blog.  If the wind blows a certain way, the signal is lost.  It is that fragile.  But....it is a connection.

For all practical purposes, we don't have internet.  We're operating on our "emergency signal".  And....I'm very THANKFUL for that smidgen of a signal.

Do you remember "Life BEFORE the internet"??

It wasn't that long ago (how time flies).  But my-my, how the internet and computers have dramatically affected our lives.

I got a Mac in 1986.  It had a tiny screen, but that little computer worked quite well.  Sure doesn't seem like 31 years ago.

Then, in 1997, we actually connected to the Internet.  That was 20 years ago.  Yes, time does fly!!

For the time being, we'll be reading books by the fire and doing chores and chopping wood and staying warm and waiting....for a good solid Internet Connection.

Until next blog, and hopefully, our tiny, emergency connection will hold up, God bless you and THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

STAYING WARM....

Cold is sure gripping the U.S. and we're prepared....with plenty of firewood.

ARCTIC COLD OUTBREAK BRINGS RECORD LOWS

Again, there is something so comforting about just watching the fire dance in in the old cabin wood-stove.

I do particularly like the period of time between Christmas and New Year.  Stores and businesses are still open, but....it's also a time to just slow down and think about 2017 and look ahead to 2018.

What a YEAR!  The ushering in of the Trump Era and what a ride that has been.  One thing I can say is...."he's doing what he promised to do".

And back to back to back Hurricanes.  North Korea is so volatile and big changes around the world.

While here at the cabin in the mountains of East TN, will be in planning meetings with our good friends at RAM (Remote Area Medical).  We've worked closely together for the last few years and see 2018 as being quite challenging.

I'm so THANKFUL to our Lord for putting Stan Brock (RAM) and I together.  Our ministries work extremely well together.

So, today, will be cutting & splitting more firewood and getting ready for the cold blast!

THANK YOU, as always for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

08 DEGREES - BRRRRRRR

It's a good thing to have plenty of firewood when the temps plummet!  Oh, it's "wicked cold" this morning!  8 Degrees & dropping!!

And, we're not alone.  The U.S. is gripped by record COLD TEMPS!

Here's more - ANOTHER ARCTIC BLAST POISED TO USHER IN 2018

We spent yesterday up the hill chopping & splitting a nice load of fire wood.

We knew the temps were dropping and we wanted to have a good load on firewood on-hand.

Cindy and Ari carried a lot of  kindling down to cabin.  Need good kindling to get the fire going.

With the help of our little generator, I used the electric chainsaw to cut up an old fallen tree.  That old tree would be turned into "fuel" to keep us warm and help us to cook.

A simple thing, like a fallen tree, can keep one warm when cold winds blow.  In between, we'd take "Ham & Bean" breaks.  MMM, Cindy made a delicious pot of  ham & bean soup.

We took the cut logs and ran them through the handy "Log Splitter".  Oh, I love this little machine.  Works like a dream.

So, today, we'll just sit around and watch the fire dance in the old wood stove and see what my Cindy has in mind to cook up on that fresh cut firewood.  It's the simple things in life that bring joy & satisfaction.

We pray that you stay warm today.  We're THANKFUL for your precious prayer, love and support!!

HAM & BEAN SOUP....MMMMM

The old wood stove keeps us warm and makes a great pot of ham & bean soup, along with Cindy's help.  Cindy is an AWESOME cook!  Ahhh, life is good!

We'll be below freezing all day and in the lower teens tonight.  No snow, but plenty of cold air.

The wood stove really works well.  323 degrees on the top.  That will cook about anything.

THANK YOU for your prayers.  I'm over that nasty flu.  Feeling so much better!  Praise the Lord!

We'll be up on the hill cutting and splitting firewood from fallen trees today.

If one can keep warm and be able to cook...who needs electricity?

However, having a solar array to capture the sun and make a bit of electricity is nice.  Keeps the water pump going and lights on.  "Let the cold winds blow"!

It's time to go chop and split some firewood.  THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

A BIT "UNDER THE WEATHER", BUT FEELING BETTER

Since coming in from Haiti last week, been dealing with some pretty nasty flu-like symptoms.  Haven't mentioned it.  But...now, it's on it's way out and I'm slowly feeling better.  Praise God!

We had a positively glorious Christmas Day.  We exchanged gifts and enjoyed the daylights out of the wood stove (& so does little Andy).

It's been in the "teens" and quite chilly here.  The wood stove has kept the little cabin quite toasty and we're cooking on it, to "boot".

What a wonderful way to spend Christmas in the Smokies....except for the flu symptoms.  Thank God for rest and healing.

Having this time to spend with family and quiet time on reflecting on what a Savior we have, has been glorious.  Oh, what a mighty, and wonderful and loving God we serve!!

We pray you have a blessed time with our Lord.  As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your greatly appreciated and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

CHRISTMAS IN THE SMOKIES

Needless to say, Cindy and I love spending time at the TN Cabin.

Our Lord is so good to give us this special time and place to retreat, reflect and rest.

We know that Jesus was likely not born on December 25th but....we're THANKFUL that a day has been set aside universally, to acknowledge that JESUS WAS BORN!

And, our Lord Jesus has come into the world, not to condemn the world, but to SAVE THE WORLD!

We are simply BLESSED to have our Lord Jesus in our lives.  Where would we be without HIM?....Perish the thought!!

Looking ahead, we know that 2018 will be full of challenges.  We're THANKFUL to our Lord Jesus to give us the wonderful opportunity to serve Him.

We're also very THANKFUL to have you with us with your precious prayer, love and support!!

Oh, we pray that this Christmas Season be a special blessing to you and your family.

A PLEASANT RIDE

Cindy and I had a small "caravan" to the Tennessee Cabin.  I had Ari with me and she had Peter with her.  We struck out just before sunrise and 11 hours later arrived.

Ari and I listened to music most of the way.  She selected such amazing songs.  We had a blast.

The one that made me cry was...."I wanna buy these shoes".

OK, here you go, if you'd like to hear it.  It may make you cry.

We'll be up at the cabin through the New Year.  We may even get a little snow.  Hope so!!

Going to go chop some fire wood to keep the little cabin toasty warm.  Temp is expected to drop later tonight.

We hope and pray that you have a BLESSED CHRISTMAS!

THANK YOU, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

BACK FROM HAITI....ON TO TENNESSEE

The "Mission" to Haiti was completed.  It was time to head home.  Our intrepid "Barbara" needed a ride home.  So...

We arrived at the airport early, prepared the Little Donkey, had a prayer for a good journey and took off for Florida.

The route was clear of weather, but...there were some strong headwinds predicted and...they were correct.

We climbed to 14,500' and settled down to a 25-30 knot headwind.  I dropped a little lower and found the same thing.

Thankful for those extra fuel tanks.  They take the "stress" right out of those headwinds.

Besides, the Caribbean is one of the most beautiful seas on this earth and the headwinds just give us a little more time to enjoy the view.

Barbara has been experiencing some strong pain in her hip, so we made a call to Dr. Badolato's office and they were waiting for her when we arrived.

After a shot that gave almost instant relief, we met Cindy and Ari and had a celebration dinner.

We're heading up to the cabin to celebrate Christmas there and Barb is going to NY to be with her family there.  We may even get a "White Christmas".  Hope so.

Praise God for safe journey's and God's Amazing Grace!!

We're all loaded up and about to hit the road for TN.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

SOLVING PROBLEMS

Spent yesterday in more meetings with the purpose of improving the Air Traffic Control systems at Port-au-Prince. Like any system, periodic reviews and adjustments are necessary.

Our Harris Team is the best and working with the Haitian Engineers and Controllers is a pleasure.

Again, I count it such a privilege to be part of this operation.  I've been flying in Haiti's Airspace for nearly 40 years and it's a joy to be able to improve the system.

While moving about Port-au-Prince yesterday, the traffic was absolutely horrendous.  No matter what route we took, there was massive gridlock everywhere.

Someone tried to move out an old fuel tanker truck and it got stuck right in the middle of the road blocking both lanes.  Here's a quick vid of the situation.

I'm very THANKFUL to our Lord for opening the doors into the ATC system of Haiti.  The system that we have installed is one of the best in the world.....and we're making it better.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

GOOD MEETINGS....

We had a series of "GOOD MEETINGS" yesterday.

Let us say that good seeds were planted and that we may be able to do some good in improving "Air Safety & Efficiency" in Haiti.

We still have a ways to go, but we've been on this road for a while and we're not about to quit.

The Director General (DG) of OFNAC, the FAA of Haiti, Olivier Jean, was gracious and we were able to explain in great detail how we can help make the airways safer and operate more smoothly.

From the meeting with OFNAC, we went to the American Embassy and met with the U.S. Coast Guard Liason, Commander Aaron Johnson.

This meeting was very insightful and gave our team more good information to proceed forward.

Over the years, the Harris Corporation has been able to fully implement state-of-the-art ATC Communications equipment in both Port-au-Prince and Cap Haitian.  For that we are THANKFUL!

We are on a quest to bring the airways in Haiti to the highest level of safety and efficiency and I'm grateful to be part of this plan.

Today, we'll be in  meetings with the Engineers of OFNAC and seek ways to provide them with more good tools to help them to do their job well.

I'm personally THANKFUL to our Lord for opening these doors and allowing me to participate in this field.  I've been flying in Haiti for nearly 40 years and it's a blessing to help make the airways safer.

THANK YOU, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

WAITING.....

A part of our lives is...."waiting".  This can be a good time to just reflect, think, catch up and meet folks.

Had a few errands in Port yesterday and then settled down in a nice little restaurant, sipping a cup of delicious Haitian coffee and awaited Barb who was coming in from Paris.

She had been on a mission to bring critical supplies to Africa and I had a few hours of "waiting".

While there, I met Mark Stockeland of Haiti Bible Mission.  He too was awaiting the MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) flight crew (dear friends of mine).  From time to time, Mark buys the whole crew lunch.

MAF provides vital transportation to Mark whose mission is on the extreme western tip of Haiti.  We quickly found a lot to talk about, particularly the need for clean water...while waiting.

Then, Barb landed and we headed to another nice restaurant with a delicious buffet (The Visa Lodge).  I was "awaiting" our Harris Team to arrive.  We will be in meetings this week with the Director General of the "FAA:" of Haiti.

Barb pulled out the Yahtzee dice and we played for several hours.  A nice way to "wait" for an arriving flight.

Some days are just like that.  Sitting around and "waiting" and making the best of it.

Of course, I'm reminded of Isaiah 40:31...."they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength...."

So, when you find yourself "waiting" and you will, make the most of it by reflecting on the goodness of God and allow His strength to flow into you.

It's time to head into those meetings and work on making the airspace in Haiti a bit safer and more efficient.

THANK YOU, as always for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

THE BOOK OF REVELATION "PEPPERED" WITH GUNFIRE

The Little Donkey was all fueled and loaded with critical supplies.  The weather was clear.  It was time to return to Haiti.

I arrived at the airport, bright and early.  Did a final "Pre-Flight", prayed for a safe journey and took off.

Found a tiny tailwind at 15,000' and settled down to a pleasant flight.

Watched the sun rise and thought of my Cindy doing that big Christmas Party at the hospital.  Prayed all would go well with her and the Air Mobile Team.

In just under 5 hours landed at Port-au-Prince.  Cleared my arrival procedure and headed to Barb's "Village" with the supplies.

Even though I have oxygen on-board and take a generous portion, flying an "unpressurized" aircraft for long periods of time is quite exhausting.

After getting all the supplies tucked away, I headed up to my room, set up the "Haiti Desk", and brewed a cup of coffee.

Put on the Book of Revelation (on YouVersion) and drifted off for a much needed nap.

In the "background", was a steady staccato of Haitian drums from a local "club" peppered with gunfire.  Ahhhh, the evening sounds of Haiti.

I spoke with Cindy last night and the grand Christmas Party at the Hospital went well.

After a refreshing nap, I took a stroll through the "Village" and came across "Old Blue", one of the original water purifiers that has been in operation for nearly 15 years.  Oh, the gift of CLEAN WATER!

Today, I'll be in meetings regarding the Air Traffic Control system at Port-au-Prince and Cap Haitian.

I'm so THANKFUL to our Lord for giving me favor with the Haitian airport officials.  Many of whom I have personally known for 37 years.  We are working together to improve the ATC System here at Port-au-Prince and Cap Haitian.

It's time to head into town and see what our Lord has in store today.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

EARLY REFLECTIONS

Our Lord Jesus came into this world, not to condemn the world, but to SAVE the world.

Last night, while at a wonderful Christmas party with my kids and grand-kids, I realized again, just what JOY Jesus has brought into my life.

All I can say is...."I'm so THANKFUL that Jesus came into my life and has brought such unspeakable JOY to my family.

As we enter into this SEASON of Celebrating Jesus coming into this world, let us simply remember that HE is the Reason for the Season.

As you go about your day today, may you be overwhelmed with His love.

"HANGAR RASH"....

The other day, when putting the "Little Donkey" back in the hangar, we heard a strange noise.  I stopped the little tug, and we quickly inspected.

The tail of the airplane had caught on a rope.  Didn't "appear" to have damaged anything and I guided Ti Burik into the hangar.

Yesterday morning, we found the source of the strange noise.  That rope had caught on one of the many antennas on the aircraft and snapped it right off.

BTW, pilots world-wide refer to such "accidents" while putting an aircraft into a hangar...."HANGAR RASH".

Within minutes, I was on the phone with Orlando Aircraft Services (OAS).

John Webb, the owner and his son Troy, have been doing all of our Avionics work since 1982.  I caught them just before lunch time.

Yahn Gray (a Premier Water Mule) and I jumped right in the Little Donkey and flew to Orlando, a 15 minute flight.

John and Troy quickly assessed the damage and literally within minutes, the broken antenna was taken care of.

Again, where would we be without our friends!!  THANK YOU, OAS!!

Today, we're getting together with our kids and grand-kids for A Christmas Party.

In quiet reflection this morning, I THANK our LORD for coming to this earth to save us!  THANK YOU, JESUS!

And, THANK YOU, for your greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

GLITCHES GALORE...

Recently, due to a crashed laptop (left it on the roof of the car...& it slid off at 40 mph), I had to buy a new laptop.

Normally, that's a pretty straight-forward thing.  But...the new laptop had glitches and after 3 days the keyboard quit functioning.  Had to replace it and do all the transfers again.  Took days.

Yesterday evening, the replacement laptop keyboard went out.....again!

It's not like the "old days" where you whip out your tools and just fix it.

No, we need experienced Geeks to steer us through these troubling waters.

Ugh.....I'm in the midst of trying to keep all the "Digital" devices working.  Can be a full time job!  I pray for grace and patience...& wisdom.

Well, here's a bit of good news.

Paul and I did a few tweaks on the Little Donkey and performed a successful test flight.  That little bird is ready for "action".  Praise God!

About to drop the wayward laptop off and transfer the data...again and so forth and so on.  Dear Lord, please give me patience!

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

Departed the "Retreat Cabin" bright and early and had a flawless trip back to Florida without a single highway delay.  Praise God!

I'm extremely THANKFUL for the prayer / planning time that I've had up here that this wonderful little cabin tucked in the mountains of East TN.

Oh, it's so good to be home with my Cindy and Ari....& Andy (our little dog).

We're busy getting ready for the big Christmas Party at the hospital where we're completing our 20th year of ministry.  This has been an amazing OPEN DOOR for Air Mobile.  Every Sunday, we bring the Good News of Jesus.

This morning Paul and I will running up the Little Donkey and getting it ready for our "Next Mission".

BTW, the FAA APPROVED our Progressive Maintenance Program.  That means the "Annual Inspection" will be done throughout the year.  This will prevent the long "down time" of the standard Annual.  THANK YOU, FAA!!

THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

10 DEGREES & FLORIDA BOUND &....COULD HAVE BEEN "DICEY"!

This morning, I bid farewell to the "Retreat Cabin".  This has been an amazingly productive "retreat".

But, must admit, have missed my Cindy and Ari.   The good news is, Cindy, Ari and I (and Andy, our little furry black dog) will be back for Christmas.

It's "right chilly" here this morning.  10 Degrees....BRRRRR!

OK, had a pretty close call yesterday.  While cleaning the cabin, getting ready for my departure, I cleaned out our trusty wood stove.

It had been a couple of days since I had lit it.  Pulled out the ashes and noticed just a "few" little glowing embers.  Didn't pay too much attention to them.

I always throw the ashes on our fire pit, which was stacked pretty high with wood to burn...at a later time.

About 20 minutes later, I caught an orange glow out the corner of my eye and whoa!  That pile of wood was roaring.  The wind was howling and the fire was growing by the second.

I ran to the hose and began trying to douse the flames and for a while was losing the battle.  Managed to get a call off to my neighbor, Don and soon he arrived.

We fought it for about 30 minutes and finally brought it under control.  PRAISE GOD!!

The moral of the story is....embers are hot & handle them with care!!

It's time to load the Ford Escape and head back to Florida.  THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

THY WILL BE DONE....

As I scan the news and see so many conflicts in this world, my heart simply cries..."Dear Father, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven".

I'll be wrapping up my time here at the cabin.  So much has been accomplished regarding future plans and cooperation to bring help to suffering people around the world.

Whether or not we're able to, collaboratively, secure a larger aircraft or not is in His hands.  We're certainly open to this IF that is the direction He wants us to go.

We've certainly learned a great deal over these last few weeks.  But, the most important thing is PRAYER & seeking His will in the matter.

Again, I'm so THANKFUL to my precious Cindy for encouraging me to spend this time in prayer and research regarding the course of Air Mobile.  I LOVE YOU, CINDY!

After returning to Florida and likely making a flight to Haiti, we'll return to the "Retreat Cabin" for Christmas.  Looking so forward to that!!

Time to "winterize" and pack up.  Will probably hit the road tomorrow morning.  THANK YOU, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart. So appreciate your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

PLUMB CHILLY!!

Awoke to 18 degrees this morning, here at the "Retreat Cabin".

Will need to go out and cut & split some more firewood later today....after it warms up just a bit!

Time to stir up the embers and light a fire.  Yes, there's something wonderful and simple and beautiful about watching the "Fireside Movie".

Oh, we had a wonderful day yesterday.  Began by preaching at a sweet little Baptist Church here in the valley in the mountains of East TN.

From that service, Dave Walen and I headed to the airport and he topped off the C-172.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate Dave.  His wise counsel is an awesome asset to Air Mobile!

Yes, "Surely our Lord knows how to deploy His troops"....as a wise Pastor (Roy Stockstill) once told me.

Here's a quick vid of Dave's take-off as he headed home by way of seeing his son, daughter in law and grand kids along the way.

THANKS AGAIN, DAVE!

After seeing Dave off, headed back to the cabin and witnessed another glorious sunset.

Ok, it's time to go cut some firewood to keep this sweet little cabin toasty warm.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

SHARING GOD'S AMAZING GRACE

This morning, I've been given the privilege to share my faith at a small Baptist Church in the mountains of East TN.

As I look back on my life, I feel like John Newton the writer of Amazing Grace.

BTW, if you've never read Newton's story, here's a good historical account.

Oh, our Lord reached down into a deep, dark hole and pulled me out into His loving arms.  I can now sing, Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound.

I'll be joined this morning by my good friend and counselor, Dave Walen.

He had flown over to join us on our mission to Kansas City and checking out large airplanes.  And, we sure need good wisdom there.

Well, he got stuck here by a bit of snow and poor visibility.  Today, he'll fly back to Wilmington, NC.

Time to head to church and share my faith.  THANK YOU, for standing with us with your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

WENT TO KANSAS CITY....

We met Stan Brock bright & early at Knoxville yesterday morning..

Our team boarded the RAM King Air bound for Kansas City.

Our mission is to look at a number of large aircraft that could potentially serve our ministries well.

This will allow us to arrive at any disaster world-wide and bring IMMEDIATE life-saving help.

The first aircraft that we looked at is a BEAUTIFUL MD-83.  The possibilities of utilizing a bird such as this is staggering.

Our host, Kerry Floyd of Tri-Star Experience is amazing!!  He also treated us to some genuine Kansas City Bar-B-Q!

We then went to see another VERY LARGE aircraft, a Lockheed L-1011.

This aircraft is equipped with a full Hospital / Surgical unit.

It looks like it might be just a bit TOO BIG for us to handle.  We'll leave this Big Bird on the Altar of God... for now.

However, Stan and I did spend a bit of time in the cockpit of this magnificent aircraft and dreamed a little.

Our time in Kansas City with Kerry was extremely fruitful.  We have much to pray about regarding the possibility of EXPANDING our outreach.

We had a quick flight home in the King Air and even got it up to 325 knots.

Arrived back at the cabin around midnight.  What a day!!

Tomorrow, I'll have the privilege to preach at a local church, Little Mulberry Baptist.  Looking forward to sharing God's Word.

THANK YOU, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

IN PURSUIT....

Air Mobile and Remote Area Medical (RAM) are in pursuit of a large aircraft to accomplish the mission of bringing clean water and medical care (and the love of God) to areas of suffering.

This is a noble mission and one that we must pursue.

Today, we will fly the RAM King Air 200 from Knoxville to Kansas City to speak with some folks who just happen to have a couple of large aircraft.

In these meetings we will explore the ways and means of operating such an aircraft as well as to how we can "finance" such a venture.

Meanwhile, the news from Southern California is terrible!

Over 200,000 flee the flames.  Oh, Folks, PLEASE PRAY for all in the path and those fighting the flames.  Please PRAY FOR RAIN!!

Time to go board that King Air for the flight to Kansas City.  THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

PS - In between meetings yesterday, I slipped out and renewed my "License to Fly"...got my medical certificate renewed.

Whew...glad I passed the test!!  Good for another 2 years!  Praise God!!!!

76 YEARS AGO TODAY....A STORY OF SELFLESS BRAVERY &.... PRAY FOR SOUTHERN CAL AS WILDFIRES RAGE

With all of the often, tawdry news of sex scandals and tragic, fast-moving wildfires, there has hardly been any mention of Pearl Harbor..."A day which will live in infamy".

I came across this story of a brave Catholic Priest, Father Al, who gave his life for others and wanted to share the story with you.

On to the "Wildfires" in Southern California....

PLEASE PRAY for all of those in the path of these terrible fires and for the brave fire-fighters who are working so hard to contain them.

I checked the weather forecast and rain looks FAR AWAY, but I'm still PRAYING FOR RAIN to help douse these dreadful fires.  With God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!

Today, we will be meeting with Remote Area Medical in Knoxville.

We're working on the possibility of joining our forces and securing the use of LARGE aircraft to help us get to disasters more rapidly and with vital help and resources.

We're excited about the possibilities.  Tomorrow, we'll fly to Kansas City to continue these discussions with a group that has several large aircraft.  Please pray for our Lord to lead us each step of the way.

It's time to pack up and hit the road for Knoxville.  THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Have an early morning run.  One of our funding representatives is arriving at the station in Knoxville at 5:30am.

Up early and about to hit the road. Knoxville is about an hour and half away.   The roads are wet and the temp could create a little ice.  Please PRAY for a safe journey.

Will write more later.

UPDATE:  8:45am -  Made the journey to Knoxville and back at the cabin.

PLEASE pray for those in the path of the California wildfires that are ravaging Ventura!!

CLOUDS MOVING IN... TEMPERATURE DROPPING....A LAZY / RAINY DAY

Not much going on today.  Will just laze around the cabin and enjoy doing nothing.

Going to be rainy and a bit chilly here in the mountains of East, TN.

A good time to just listen to God's Word and let it sink in.  The rain even prevents doing any chores.

Oh, darn.  Guess I'll just have to endure a bit of coasting....LOL.

Later this week, my good friend and great "Water Mule", Dave Walen will arrive.  We'll then head to Knoxville and meet up with Stan Brock of Remote Area Medical.  We plan to fly to Kansas City on Friday to view some large aircraft and speak with the owners.

Who know what will happen?  Our Lord certainly does and may His will be done!

I truly do appreciate your prayer, love and support!!!

WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPLE THING... THEREFORE, GET WISDOM!!

Just had to share this Proverb with you today.  As you know, from time to time, I study the Proverb that coincides with the day.  Today is Proverbs 4!

For your reading...and meditating pleasure, here it is:  PROVERBS 4 NKJV

As Stan Brock of Remote Area Medical and I explore the possibilities of cooperating together on a large aircraft, one certainly needs WISDOM & UNDERSTANDING!

What we know and understand is that immediately following disasters, CLEAN WATER, FOOD & MEDICAL CARE are essential.  Operating a larger aircraft to the disaster would give us much greater capabilities.

However, our Lord Jesus urges us to "Count the Cost" before embarking on a mission (Luke 14:28).

We are proceeding carefully and prayerfully on this pursuit.

I've invited one of our Advisory Counselors, Dave Walen (an experienced pilot / mechanic / attorney) to join Stan and I when we go speak to the organization that has the large aircraft.

Remember, in the Multitude of Counsel, there is safety!

So, as we move forward to explore the possibility of doing so much more, we lean heavily on our Lord for wisdom, understanding and direction.

THANK YOU, as always for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

TRUST IN THE LORD.....

One of my all time favorite Bible Chapters is Proverbs 3.  How can so much wisdom be packed in 35 verses.

From time to time, I read the Proverb that coincides with the day.  Being the 3rd of December, I turned to Proverbs 3 this morning.

The richness and wisdom is overwhelming.  If you haven't read it....recently, here it is:
PROVERBS 3 ESV

Please consider taking about 5 minutes and read Proverbs 3 and you'll see what I mean.

Yesterday, I spoke with a gentleman who loves aircraft (and the Lord!) as much as I.  He has several large aircraft that could serve and save many lives following disasters.

Stan Brock of Remote Area Medical (RAM) and I have been seeking ways to RAPIDLY get vital supplies (water, food, medicine) to the scene of disasters.  A large aircraft is just what we need.

Hmmmm, could our Lord be putting something together??  One thing is for sure, when one deals with Large Aircraft, one needs great WISDOM from God....as large aircraft are very costly!

But, our Lord knows how to create WIN-WIN situations and that is exactly what we are seeking!

Just imagine with me what it would be like to show up at a disaster (earthquake, typhoon, hurricane, tsunami, flood, etc.etc.) with enough clean water for hundreds of thousands and have a full medical team / relief workers and hundreds of thousands of meals...all in ONE AIRPLANE.

Well, I must admit that when I came up to the cabin for some rest & relaxation, didn't expect to be going to see several large aircraft that may become available to us to bring life-saving water / medical / food.

That's why Proverbs 3 is so dear to me.  "Lean not on your own understanding, and He will direct your path".  OK, Lord, I'm leaning!!!

So, it's Sunday morning and time for me to go to Church.  My Cindy and Ari and Team will be going to Church and then to the Hospital to share the Good News of Jesus.

I hope you enjoyed Proverbs 3 this morning.  It is one of my all time favorite portions of Scripture.  THANK YOU, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

A CLOSER WALK...

Often, in the midst of the "storms" of life, it's easy to be caught up in the battle and not take the time to be with Jesus.  I'm guilty...

Upon arrival at the "Retreat Cabin" this time, I simply asked my Lord Jesus to join me.

Of course, He's ever with us, as He's promised to never leave us or forsake us.

But...taking the time to get quiet and invite Him into our lives is another thing.  Life often comes at us fast and is very demanding.

For example, these last 3 hurricanes, Harvey, Irma and Maria certainly kept us busy.  There's nothing wrong with being busy.  As I said, sometimes life requires it.

However, taking the time to get quiet and spend quality time in prayer brings us closer to Him and yields wonderful results.

S.D. Gordon said, "Prayer is striking the winning blow, service is gathering up the results".

So, as we prepare for our "Next Mission", may it be well enveloped in prayer and God's great love.

I'm so THANKFUL to my precious wife, Cindy for encouraging me to spend this time at the "Retreat Cabin".  Love you, Honey!!

Today, I think I'll go mow a field or two and just relish His love.  Just a closer walk with Jesus!!

THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

WHILE AT THE CABIN....DOORS ARE OPENING!

I thought yesterday was going to be a peaceful, quiet day of re-living events and listening to the Word of God.

Not so.  My TN Landline (cell out of range) rang early and thus began a flurry of calls dealing with possible large aircraft and whole host of other doors, that we've been Knocking on... are beginning to open.  Yea!!

I'm reminded of Matthew 7:7....ASK - SEEK - KNOCK!

And...the good news is that I can hang around the cabin for a bit longer.

One of my critical meetings (Open Door) is taking place in Knoxville next Wednesday.

There is still plenty of time for "Wandering down Memory Lane" for the book and peaceful, quiet time in the Word of God.

OK, I'll admit that there are times, I try to open doors in my own strength and clever maneuvering.

By getting away and spending time in His Word (honoring the Lord) and trusting Him to open the doors...that's when things happen.  Praise God!

Again, I ask....who said..."You can't have your cake and eat it too??".

Another door just opened for Air Mobile to head back to Haiti and Puerto Rico....after spending some quiet, peaceful time here at the cabin.  Yea!

And, we've been working with the FAA to put the Little Donkey on a better Maintenance Program and yes, that door is steadily opening.

This is very cool.  Being at a retreat cabin in the mountains of East TN where it is incredibly quiet and peaceful and our Lord is OPENING DOORS that we've been knocking on for quite some time.  There is a message here...."Let Go and Let God"!

Have a few more errands to run today and then....hopefully, will have a very quiet and peaceful weekend here at that cabin.  PRAISE GOD for this time!!

THANK YOU, as always, for wandering down this path of life with me.  Your prayer, love and support are so appreciated!!!!

RETREAT....IN THE WORD OF GOD

There are times when it's good to just pull back and immerse in the Word of God.

I'm very THANKFUL to the Lord for giving me this quiet time at the cabin in the mountains of East TN.

Have been mixing the time with going back in time and reading old blogs (very emotional) and just sitting back and listening to the Word of God.  Nice combination!!

I'm also very THANKFUL to Cindy, my precious wife who encourages me to take this time to refresh and renew.  THANK YOU CINDY!!

Had a very pleasant visit with my good friend, Stan Brock of Remote Area Medical (RAM) yesterday.

We discussed the need for a larger aircraft and also spoke about the possibility of increased earthquakes in 2018.  Now is the time PLAN!

I shared the graph on the correlation between the earth's rotation speed slowing and the increase in earthquakes.  Pretty compelling.

So, today will be meandering down memory lane (laying the foundation for my next book) and listening to the God's Word.  Nice way to spend the day.

I want you to know just how much I appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!!

JOURNEY / JOURNAL / JOURNALIST / BLOGGING

It seems that I've always liked to "Journal".  Been doing it pretty much most of my life.

Oh, there are many reasons....but the main one is to "Capture" what our Lord is doing in my life and share it with others.

Just a little history on the words, JOURNEY / JOURNAL / JOURNALIST, they all come from the root French word for day "Jour".

Inflected Form(s): plural journeys. Etymology: Middle English journey "a trip, travel," from early French journee "day's work, day's journey," from jour "day," derived from Latin diurnus "of a day, daily," from dies "day" --related to DIARYJOURNAL. : travel from one place to another.

As I've been going back in my Daily (Jour) Blog, it's been marvelous to see the Hand of God move again and again and again.

We've faced so many challenges in the work that we do.  Going into major disasters (Hurricanes / Typhoons / Tsunami's / Earthquakes / Flooding / War, etc. etc.) is, indeed, quite challenging!

Water systems destroyed, roads / bridges wiped out, communications knocked out, food sources cut off, Convoys attacked / Relief workers kidnapped, and the list goes on and on.

Navigating through those difficulties is often quite challenging.  But....we've seen our Lord come through over and over and over.  And....many times, those have been "Captured" in my daily blog.

Well, I've been trying to write a book (Storm Dancer) for some time.  Decided to use my Daily Blog as the foundation for this epic "Journey".

But...each time I get up here to the cabin and begin going back in time several things happen.

First of all, I cry like a baby.  Yes, I go back through so many emotions, often plunging into areas where there is so much pain, suffering, tragic loss, destruction as well as Divine Intervention, many Miracles and the Awesome Hand of God moving over and over again.

Then, before I can type out Chapter 1, a disaster will hit and I'll have to cut the "Writing Retreat" short.  This has happened a number of times.

So, here I am trying again.  I began this Journey back in time with the day of the Haiti Earthquake (January 12, 2010).  Wrote the blog several hours after it hit and have been writing a DAILY BLOG ever since.

Well, after swirling through so many stories yesterday, have decided to take a break and ride to Knoxville and go see my dear friend Stan Brock of Remote Area Medical (RAM).

Air Mobile and RAM have worked very closely together all around the world.  Stan is a true legend and one of the greatest Humanitarians of our time.

We're currently working together in Puerto Rico.  As a matter of fact, RAM will be sending a major Medical Team to Puerto Rico tomorrow.

So, I'm about to hit the road for the pleasant ride to Knoxville.

Many of you reading this "Rambling Blog" have been on many of these adventures with me.  Your precious prayer, love and support is invaluable.  THANK YOU again for joining us.

Air Mobile Joe

PS - Do you suppose that being on this JOURNEY & JOURNALING EVERY DAY for years makes me a JOURNALIST?  Hmmm, interesting thought.

A JOURNEY BACK....IN TIME

Spent most of yesterday going back....in time.  I started at the Haiti Earthquake and yes, cried like a baby.  Those daily blogs truly capture the emotions of great tragedy and victories.

As you may have gathered, I'm working on another book.  Have been for some time.  Will be using the "Daily Blogs" as the foundation.

Have had a continual daily blog going for nearly 8 years...so, there's plenty of material to glean from.  The problem is....where do I start?

That's the reason for being here in the peace and quiet of the "Retreat Cabin" and just wandering down memory lane and praying for our Lord to lead me.  Will be up here for a while, on this journey.

Have plenty of coffee and firewood.  I'm thankful that, for the moment, we don't have any impending storms, and as of this hour, no earthquakes.

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for joining me on this journey and especially for your prayer, love and support!!

EARTH ROTATION SLOWS.....EARTHQUAKES INCREASE - WHAT LIES AHEAD IN 2018??

Came across this interesting article on predicting earthquakes.

The evidence is pretty compelling, according to many geologists.  Take a look at this chart....

For some time, I've had this feeling in my gut that we were going to see an increase in earthquakes beginning in 2018.  Could it be just a coincidence?

Here's the article, you can judge for yourself - GEOLOGISTS SEE 2018 AS YEAR OF MONSTER QUAKES

For example, I've been tracking the increasing number of quakes in and around the San Andreas Fault in California.

So, what is the best thing to do?  First of all, PRAY for wisdom to know what to do.

That is always a good place to start.  Remember one of my favorite acronyms....A.S.A.P.

Next, do what you can to prepare.  Oh, you don't have to sell your home or make a big loan.  Simply be aware of the need to prepare.

For example, next time you go to the store, be on the lookout for BOGO'S (Buy One / Get One).  If there's something you like, take advantage of the sale.

You may be very glad to have a few extra ones (that you got for FREE) in the event of.....who knows what?

Another thing to do is think of SCENARIOS.  Base them on the best info you have. For example, I'm looking at EARTHQUAKES (and I have pretty good reason to do so).  Earthquakes do terrible damage...especially to our CLEAN WATER SUPPLY!

Earthquakes break water lines and cause massive "CROSS CONTAMINATION".

In other words, sewer get mixed up with the clean water supply.  This causes disease to break out and spread rapidly.

We're building up our SUPPLY CHAIN to make Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers in advance of the "Next Disaster", whatever or whenever, that might be.

So, here I am up here at the cabin in the mountains of East TN.  Think I'll go chop and split some more firewood.  BTW, love the new log splitter!!

Will also be meeting with Stan Brock of Remote Area Medical (RAM) this week, to work on the next Air Mobile / RAM outreach.

Hope to begin writing chapter 1 on my 2nd book, "Storm Dancer".  That is one of the main reasons for my staying here at the cabin for bit.

It's good to spend quiet time, in prayer, surrounded by the Word of God (thanks to YouVersion) and seek His guidance for the days ahead.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your prayer, love and support!!!

SPLITTING LOGS & LISTENING TO JESUS

First of all, Cindy, Ari and Andy arrived back in Florida last night.  Had a lot of traffic along the way, but they're home safe and sound.  THANK YOU for your prayers!

On Friday, I bought a log splitter.  What a great tool.  We have quite a few downed trees from recent storms.

Yesterday, I began tackling those trees and turning them into valuable fire wood.

Of course, the firewood gives heat and a means of cooking.

I've never used a log splitter, and was amazed at how simple and efficient this great tool is to use.

In just a few hours, was able to fill our Log Ring.  "Let the Cold Winds blow!"

Being alone, here at the cabin, allows me to play the Bible as loud and long as I want.  I love "YouVersion".

The audio is superb.  Listening to the Gospels over and over is like having our Lord Jesus right here with me.  Very cool!!

Cindy and Ari will be going to the Hospital (to Minister) after church.  I'll be heading up to our church here in TN.  It's a beautiful day.

THANK YOU, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

BON VOYAGE CINDY & ARI & ANDY - WATCHING A WOOD STOVE "MOVIE"

It is with a twinge of sadness that I bid farewell to Cindy, Ari and Andy.  They're heading back to Florida for school.  BON VOYAGE!

Did you notice....Ari has caught up with Cindy in height.  She's growing so fast!!

Please pray for them to have a safe journey home.  This is a huge traffic weekend from folks returning from the Thanksgiving Holiday.

I'll remain up here at the cabin for a while.  Will be meeting with Stan Brock and Remote Area Medical (RAM) next week in Knoxville.

RAM will be back in Puerto Rico offering free medical care to thousands!  Praise God for Stan and RAM.

Up here at the cabin, we sometimes watch the "Wood Stove Movies".  It's very relaxing and quite enjoyable.

We also enjoy the sunsets here in the Valley.  It's the simple things in life that bring such joy to our souls.

Speaking of "simple things" in life, here's more reason to enjoy a good cup of coffee.  As you likely know, Cindy and I love our coffee.

DRINKING COFFEE BENEFITS HEALTH, 200 + STUDIES SHOW

A bit later this morning, I'll bid farewell to the Menendez family.  We so enjoyed sharing Thanksgiving with them.

While up here at the cabin, I may take another "crack" at writing Book 2, "Storm Dancer".

That book has been brewing in my soul for some time.  This just may be the time that I actually begin writing it.  We'll see.

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

MUCH, FOR WHICH TO BE THANKFUL

The Lord is good.  As I look around at my family and friends, this becomes clearly obvious.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our dear friends, Alfred, Lisa and April Menendez.  We have worked together with this wonderful family for years in our Chaplain Ministry at the Hospital in Orlando.

They stopped by the cabin after visiting the Ark Exhibition in Kentucky.  So glad they did.

Oh, the food and fellowship was incredible.  My Cindy is an awesome cook.  Lisa, April & Ari lent their talents and we had a memorable feast.  We all give THANKS to the Lord!!

Our "batteries" are being recharged with rest and good food.  We'll be launching the "Next Mission" soon enough.  For now, we'll just rest in the Lord and allow His Grace to fill our hearts.

THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THANKSGIVING IN AMERICA... ACCORDING TO THE HISTORY CHANNEL

Up early on this crisp Thanksgiving morning.  It's 19 degrees here at the cabin.  Time for a nice fire to warm things up.

Sure do love our old wood stove.  Not only does it keep the little cabin "toasty warm", but we can cook on it.  Nice, practical invention.  Keeps my toes warm...

Now, on to the History of Thanksgiving in America.  Had to look around a bit to find a somewhat "balanced" recount of this Historic meal and the day that we, in America call...THANKSGIVING DAY.

No matter what your particular take on the History of Thanksgiving, it's always a good thing to give THANKS UNTO THE LORD!!

Cindy and I wish you a blessed and peaceful THANKSGIVING!!

And, THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A WALK IN THE PARK...

Yesterday, Cindy, Ari and I just took a stroll through the beautiful Panther Creek State Park in Morristown, TN.  It was just so beautiful and peaceful.

Then, I began to feel a bit guilty and the old adage came up in my mind and....I dealt with it.

Who said..."You can't have your cake and eat it too??"

I beg to disagree with that old expression because...it's simply not true!!

The fact is, in our Lord Jesus, you can, indeed have your cake and eat it too.

Why would you have a cake and not be able to to eat it?

Of course, our "Cake" is our Salvation which is beyond compare and greater than anything else in the World.  Along with that GREAT SALVATION are blessings that make the cake all the sweeter.

My conclusion is that the person that said that probably did not know Jesus as Lord & Savior!

For you see, God is GOOD ALL THE TIME and during this time of THANKSGIVING, Cindy and I are certainly giving THANKS with all of our hearts!

Now, I've said all of that because we really enjoy our time here at the "Retreat Cabin" so much and yes, sometimes even feel a bit guilty about the great joy we experience.

You see, we go all over the world, usually following great disasters and we bring clean water driven by the Matchless Love of God!  We see a lot of destruction and suffering.  It's never far from our minds and hearts.

When we take a bit of time to recharge and replenish, guilt will sometimes creep in and try to steal our joy.....whispering "You CAN'T have your cake and eat it too".

Well, the truth is, while we're up here in this sweet spot, we can still conduct all of our business, i.e. emails, applications, research, maintenance procedures, major mission planning, etc. etc.

And we usually have clearer heads and calmer hearts.  Thus, we can be in this beautiful, tranquil spot and still do the work of the Lord without compromise.

OK, I've gotten that off of my chest and now you know a bit more about what makes me tick.

So, as we approach Thanksgiving Day (tomorrow), we're just rejoicing in the Lord and not feeling guilty about basking in His abundant blessings!

Oh, we pray that you have an extremely BLESSED THANKSGIVING wherever you are.

We so appreciate your precious prayer, love and support.  THANK YOU for meandering down this path of life with us!!

BRIDGE PROBLEM....REPAIRED / CINDY & ARI ARRIVE...YEA!!

To get to the "Retreat Cabin", one must cross a little bridge.

The Bridge had a problem.  Several planks failed and....my Cindy could not cross over until it was repaired.

Fortunately, we had just replaced some decking and had a couple of planks that fit nicely.  The Bridge was repaired and my Cindy could cross!!

Cindy and Ari made record time and had a lovely journey with no road delays.  THANK YOU for your prayers for "Traveling Grace".

We lit a fire and just enjoyed an evening of watching old episodes of "Little House on the Prairie".

Earlier, Ari and I took a little ride up the property and enjoyed the view of the "Little Cabin in East TN".

Today, via the wonder of the Internet (a mixed blessing), I'll be preparing reports and doing studies for our "Next Mission".

We'll mix up the "work" with some much needed rest and relaxation.  God is Good and His Love endures forever!!

CHILLY TODAY

Brrrr 21 Degrees...it's cold here in the mountains of East TN.

Having spent most of my life in Florida and the Caribbean, I'm not used to this chilly WX.

Looks like it's time to "Light the Fire"

Just spoke with my Cindy and she and Ari have been on the road since 3:45 this morning.

With no road delays, they'll arrive here at the Cabin later this afternoon.

PLEASE PRAY for them to have a "Safe Journey"!

Oh, we're looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving up here.

It's time to go gather some dry firewood and get the old wood stove going.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

STORMY & COLD IN TN...CHILLING OUT!

Didn't do much of anything yesterday at the cabin.  Didn't even light a fire (let the heat-pump keep me warm).  Let the cold winds blow.

It's nice to just lay around and snack and let my mind relax and my heart be warmed by the love of God.  De-compression is a good thing!

Oh, there's plenty of work to be done.  Reports to be made, e-mails to write, programs to launch, firewood to cut and the list goes on and on. But....for now, I'll just rest and enjoy the warmth of the cabin.

Today, I'll go to church and hear the Word of God.  Cindy and Ari will go to the Hospital in Orlando (and bring the Good News of Jesus) after going to our home church.

Then, they'll pack up and head up to Tennessee to join me at the Cabin where we'll celebrate Thanksgiving.  Oh, we have so much for which to be THANKFUL!

Time to get ready for church and enjoy another day of rest.  THANK YOU for your being with me on this journey with your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

FROM DC TO TN WITH THE "BEATLES"....DE-COMPRESSION

Had a remarkable meeting with USAID.  My goal was to present the Air Mobile Rescuer to the "WASH" (Water / Sanitation) Officer.

We had an in-depth discussion on the technology of cleaning up dirty water & just how well the Rescuer does the job!

I'm THANKFUL to USAID for this meeting.
Good seeds were planted in good soil.

While in Downtown DC, it was a short ride to the Museum of the Bible.  But....I needed an Invitation Ticket to get in.  They were all sold out.  Oh well, next time.

So, I went to my favorite Museum, Air & Space.  I still marvel that Charles Lindbergh flew the Spirit of St. Louis 3600+ miles in 33 hours 30 minutes NON STOP.  Truly a remarkable feat.

I headed out of DC aiming for the mountains of East TN.  At Front Royal, VA I eased onto the Skyline through the Shenandoah.  It doesn't get much prettier.

Thanks to XM Radio and the Beatles Channel, the ride was absolutely amazing.  I drove the whole thing and sang most of the way.  DE-COMPRESSION has begun!!!

And again....."If I fell in love with you":  The Beatles

Was in no rush and stopped at so many overlooks.  The Shenandoah and the Blue Ridge mountains take my breath away!! Glorious sunset!

The rest of the ride to the Cabin was peaceful and uneventful.  Love trips like that!

Pulled up around 1:30am.  Ahhhh, looking forward to some quiet, peaceful time.

Cindy and Ari will drive up early next week and, the Lord willing, we'll celebrate THANKSGIVING up here in the mountains of East TN.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

MEETINGS &....MUSEUM OF THE BIBLE

After driving 850 miles, I made it to DC....well, close.  I'm in Arlington, just across the Potomac from DC.  Thankful for an uneventful and relatively quick drive here.

Today, I'll be in meetings with USAID and we'll be discussing the ways that the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier can help in disasters.  We certainly have a "Track Record" doing just that.

By our Lord's help and grace and your generous support, Air Mobile has placed nearly 1200 Rescuers in 46 countries.  A lot of folks are drinking CLEAN WATER as a result!

I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the "Museum of the Bible" is opening TODAY!

I'll certainly go check that out.  The "Free Tickets" are all gone, but it'll be worth whatever the charge is to see this historic museum displaying the Word of God!!  DC needs all the Word it can get!!!

It's time to go get that free breakfast and cross the Potomac into DC.  PLEASE PRAY the meetings today go well.  We only want the Will of God to be done!  There are a lot of thirsty folks out there that desperately need CLEAN WATER!!

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

I-95 GOOD...SO FAR

Yesterday, after tending to a dozen errands, I hit the road on I-95.  You know, we in America are blessed to have such roads.  Without question, "some" of our Tax Dollars are well spent!

Having logged tens of thousands of miles on many 3rd World roads, I still marvel and am ever appreciative for GOOD ROADS.

I drove from Titusville to Fayetteville, NC yesterday and stayed in a nice, clean hotel for a reasonable price.  Again, I'm just thankful.  Seems like we spend a LOT of time in countries that have been devastated.

Simple things like clean water, electricity, cell / internet coverage, food and good roads are difficult to find following disasters.  Again, I'm just APPRECIATIVE for the blessings that we have.

As we approach THANKSGIVING, may we simply give THANKS to our Lord for the BLESSINGS that we have.  May we remember those who are suffering due to storms or other natural or "man-made" disasters.

Our Lord Jesus tells us to reach out to those who are hungry, thirsty, homeless, sick, in jail, etc.  May we remember and obey the Gospel and bring the Good News of Jesus to a suffering world.

OK, I know I'm just rambling on this morning.  I guess the good road of I-95 just got me going.  Forgive me.

Time to go get my "Free" (included in the price) breakfast and hit the road again.  Will be on I-95 for a couple hundred more miles.  Hope there are no big traffic delays.  Have an afternoon meeting with a FEMA Officer and don't want to be late.

As always, THANK YOU for your truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

DC BOUND....& RESCUING A CRITTER IN DISTRESS

For many years, we have sought an "Audience" with USAID.  The door opened recently and I'm headed that way.

USAID: WHAT WE DO

Our Mission:  Demonstrate that, in certain instances, it is more efficient to clean up the dirty water than to transport bottled water following disasters.  We've been doing this for nearly 15 years and with the Air Mobile Rescuer and... IT WORKS!

In addition to meeting with USAID, will also have a meeting with FEMA.

Recently, while on an Evangelism Mission together, my good friend and excellent "Water Mule", Dan Carpenter, met a FEMA Officer.  I'll be meeting with him while in DC.

The truth is, CLEAN WATER is the #1 needed item after most any disaster.  Our Lord has given us a remarkable tool to make dirty water clean.  We want to share this precious gift for His Glory!!

DC is often referred to as "The Swamp".  Perhaps our little water purifier could help "Clean up the water in the "Swamp".  Just a thought.....LOL!

So, today, I'll hit the road for the long journey to DC.  Oh, I could fly, but I prefer driving.  For me, it's therapeutic.

After DC, will head over to the retreat cabin in the mountains of East Tennessee.  Cindy and Ari will come up after school lets out.  We'll celebrate THANKSGIVING there.

We all need a break following back to back to back Hurricanes (Harvey, Irma and Maria).

THANK YOU, as always for your invaluable and much needed prayer, love and support!!!

Air Mobile Joe

PS - Just as I was finishing the "Blog", Cindy rushed through the front door and asked if I'd like to help rescue a creature.  It appears that an Osprey caught and dropped a little catfish on a driveway.

We rushed there with a bowl of water, scooped up the little critter and returned him to some nice pond water.  Mission:  ACCOMPLISHED!

Just thought I'd share that tidbit with you.  Here's the Vid of the "Rescue".

AN "OLD" FRIEND OF MANY YEARS

I first met Randy West at a tiny airport north of Orlando 33 years ago.  We shared the "Love of Flying" and....serving our Lord.  A nice combination.

While working at the airport yesterday, Randy flew over for a brief visit, just to say hello and catch up on the latest news.

Over the years, we've had many "excellent adventures" together often dealing with airplanes and Islands and sharing the Good News of Jesus.

Randy is a "Genuine Water Mule" and I count myself fortunate to call him my friend.

You know, it's folks like Randy who make Air Mobile a special ministry.

We have the ability to "Deploy" rapidly virtually anywhere in the world when "Disaster Strikes".

We have the gift of CLEAN WATER , folks who love the Lord and airplanes.  Again, a nice combination.

THANK YOU, RANDY for reaching out to me at that little airport all those years ago.  Yes, indeed, "Surely our Lord knows how to deploy His troops" (a quote from the late Pastor Roy Stockstill, my first Pastor).

So today, Paul and I will be conducting our "Post Mission Inspection" on the Little Donkey...getting it ready for "The Next Mission".

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

A PLEASANT SURPRISE....IN A BLUE DRESS

It's always a blessing to get a call from our dear sister and friend, Barbara (AKA - "Rambo in the Blue Dress").

After our Air Mobile Chaplain Team completed 4 separate services at the Hospital in Orlando, we met Barb and her daughter, Arlene at Too Jays Restaurant nearby.

Barb will be with us for a few days.  When this happens, our phones ring constantly and so many people want to see Barb.

This morning, I'll take her to her favorite store, WALMART!

There, she will get a perm and shop for Haiti.  Usually, a family, who has an adopted child (arranged by Barb), will pick her up and take her to eat and then....to her next favorite store, "The Dollar Tree".

We, like so many, love Barb and are so THANKFUL to our Lord for letting us know her.  Barb has arranged for more than 2500 Adoptions and only our Lord knows how many lives she has saved.

Cindy and I have adopted 2 precious girls for whom we're eternally grateful for Barb's extraordinary strength and resourcefulness and persistence.  Adoptions are HARD!

We're thankful for Arlene, Barb's daughter, who has arranged literally hundreds of flights for Barb all over the world.  Arlene worked for the Airlines allowing Barb, many times, free fare.

So, today, back in the U.S., I'll be "Driving Miss Barbara" and meeting friends and taking care of a lot of business and....getting ready for our "Next Mission".

As always, I sincerely THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

HOME SWEET HOME &....23 YEARS AGO TODAY!

It was important for me to make every effort to get home on Saturday....because, today is our Anniversary.  23 years ago, Cindy and I became husband and wife.  PRAISE GOD!!

Truly, our Lord has given me a beautiful and loving Proverbs 31 Woman.  THANK YOU, LORD!!!!

Was up early in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and topped off the Little Donkey squeezing in every ounce of fuel that it would take.  I knew that we'd likely have to dance around some weather on the 1000 mile flight.

I would be flying the RAM (Remote Area Medical) Advance team back to the U.S.

Chris Hall and Poppy Green know their business and have laid an excellent foundation for the RAM Medical Outreach planned in early December.

A number of significant buildups did occur causing us to make some deviations.  Again, so glad for those 14 fuel tanks.

One of the things about flying in the Caribbean is the rapid and often unpredictable way thunderstorms occur.

I believe that a number of "mysterious disappearances" of ships and planes in the "Bermuda Triangle" is due to these rapid and wicked storms that blow up.  All the more reason to PRAY!!

While dodging those buildups, we were graced with a number of beautiful Rainbows.  God is Good....ALL THE TIME!!

Several days ago, I flew to the Island / Nation of Dominica.  The runway (Canefield) is a rather tricky place to land.  I tried to download the landing, but due to weak internet connections, was unable.

So, here is the landing at Canefield Airport in Roseau, Dominica.

Oh, one other thing about the flight back to the U.S., thanks to the wonder of XM, I was able to listen to my LSU Tigers beat the Arkansas Razor Backs.

So, on this beautiful Sunday morning, Cindy, Ari and I are on our way to church and then to the Hospital.

THANK YOU, as always, for your greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

SEEK & YOU SHALL FIND!!

Was up early in Roseau, Dominica.  What a lovely town, but....Hurricane Maria left so many ugly scars.

The people of Dominica are determined and stalwart.  They've just gotten back on with their lives and they're putting the pieces together.

Our goal today was to locate the 4 Air Mobile Rescuers that we had delivered to Dominica following Hurricane Erica.

My first meeting of the day was with the Honourable Francine A. Baron, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.  What an amazing and warm meeting.

Mrs. Baron was so appreciative for the help that we have given and we were confident that we would locate those 4 Rescuers.

After the meeting, literally within minutes, we located the Rescuers.  Praise God!  Seek & you shall find!!

Our next stop was to the Laboratory for the Dominica Water & Sanitation Department (D'WASCO).

The first 2 units checked out perfectly and were now "READY FOR ACTION"!

The other 2 units are with the Environmental Protection Agency and the staff of D'WASCO will be well able to bring those units up to operational standards.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!

Next stop:  Canefield Airport.  Loaded up and pointed the nose of the Little Donkey back to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, a 400 mile trek across the ocean.

Yes, I was happy to have found the Rescuers and brought them up to operational standards.  It was a pleasure to train the staff at D'WASCO.

Getting back into Aguadilla was a bit of a challenge, as afternoon thunder storms were brewing over the entire Island.  Again, our Lord made a nice path at the very western tip of the Island and I slipped in.  PRAISE THE LORD!!

Today, the Adventure Continues.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

SKATING ON THE EDGE & RETURN TO DOMINICA VIA ST. THOMAS

Yesterday day began with a short flight from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (TJBQ) to St. Thomas Virgin Islands (TIST).

There was a bit of weather just to the south of my route, but again, our Lord made a way right on the edge.

My purpose for landing at St. Thomas was two-fold.  #1 - Assess the damage and gather information about possible Air Mobile Rescuer deployments.

#2 - Give a retired U.S. Army Ranger a ride to Dominica.  Meeting Gregory Cochrane was a pleasure.  Gregory served for 26 years and has over 3000 jumps.  It was a joy giving him a ride to his homeland, Dominica.

The force and destruction from Hurricanes Irma and Maria were immediately obvious with the piles of destroyed aircraft.

This poor Piper Aztec got flipped and crushed by Irma.  Then....Maria flipped it back over and absolutely finished the job.

After fueling and clearing, it was off to Dominica.  Air Mobile sent 4 Rescuers to Dominica after Hurricane Erica brought terrible flooding 2 years ago.  It would be good to return.

Landing at Cane Field Airport, Roseau Dominica is always a challenge.  The field is short, 3100' and the approach is wicked.

After landing, I was warmly welcomed met by Ambassador Hubert Charles.  What a gracious gentleman.

He connected me with the head of the Water and Sanitation Department (D'WASCO), Mrs. Ivanera James.

We then proceeded to the Water Laboratory to train the staff on the operation of the Air Mobile Rescuer.

Their Team was great.  The asked excellent questions and fully grasped the wonder of the Air Mobile Rescuer.

Again, it was  a joy to present a Rescuer to this fine organization.

Today, we will be meeting other Officials and further assessing the needs on this lovely Island that has been so brutally struck by Irma and Maria.

So, on this beautiful day on Dominica, my prayer is for our Lord to lead each step of the way.

THANK YOU, as always for your invaluable and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

& BEYOND.....

Hurricane Maria left a "wicked" trail of destruction and suffering in her wake.  A number of smaller Islands have been "passed over".

Our Mission is to go and see "first hand" what is going on and how we might be able to help.

The Little Donkey has 5 Air Mobile Rescuers on-board.  Our hope and prayer is that our Lord will lead us to where the need is greatest.

I'll not be laying out my flight route and destinations until AFTER I have arrived and on our way (for security reasons).

The Little Donkey is all fueled and ready and flying like a dream!! PRAISE GOD!!

The main challenge today will be staying "ahead" of the weather.  There's some stuff brewing south of Puerto Rico.

So, it's time for me to top off my coffee thermos and get in the air.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support.  THANK YOU for joining me on this mission!!!

HAITI TO PUERTO RICO &....BEYOND

I bid farewell to Haiti and re-loaded the 10 Air Mobile Rescuers into the Little Donkey.  My next stop:  Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

Again, the Little Donkey carried an amazing load of 10 Air Mobile Rescuers (clean water for 10,000 people per day!), 2 - 2000 watt generators and a LOT of Baby Formula!!

But, before we "Launch" for Puerto Rico in this rambling blog, I'd like to give you just a short clip of what it's like driving in Haiti.

Every inch we drive is fraught with potential for accidents.  That's why we PRAY!

After arriving at the airport, I met with my great friend of 25 years, Dave Carwell, Haiti Manager of MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship).

Dave and I have fought many battles together and seen VICTORY after VICTORY through the power of prayer!!

It's always good to see Dave and I'm so proud of the great work that he and MAF do in Haiti!!

Now, back to the flight to Puerto Rico.  I could see that there was a little "disturbance" in the atmosphere, but hopefully, it would not grow into a menacing storm.

Here's a shot of what the route was like after take-off.

The storms were brewing but, thankfully, didn't develop into much.

Landed Aguadilla, Puerto Rico right on time and met the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) group that would receive 5 of the Air Mobile Rescuers and the generators and the baby formula.

I PRAISE GOD for CBN!  We have worked together all over the world bringing CLEAN WATER and the Love of God to those who are suffering.

THANK YOU, again, CBN for your caring heart and generosity to so many!!!

Once the transfer was made, the Remote Area Medical (RAM) Exploratory team arrived and we hit the road.

The job is to lay the good foundation for the upcoming RAM Medical outreach.  The Outreach will provide FREE MEDICAL CARE for 6000+ patients.

5 Locations will be inspected and identified.  The RAM Team knows what they're doing and have conducted nearly 900 Medical Outreaches providing FREE medical care to over 1,000,000 people.  It's a joy working with RAM!

While standing out front of the Basketball Coliseum we were greeted by a few free range horses.

This is my 4th mission to Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria.  Each time, I see more and more progress.  Businesses are opening up.  Creative ways to generate electricity are used everywhere.  And, folks are just getting on with their lives.

BTW, here's where a few of the free roaming horses ended up.

On the road to Mayaquez, we saw the stark evidence of the terrible destructive power of Hurricane Maria.

After inspecting several locations for the RAM Event, we headed back to our base in Aguadilla.

Our faithful guide and friend, Victor, took a little detour and brought us to the Basilica of Menor.

This is one of the oldest spots in all of Puerto Rico (Established in 1570).

The local Priest, Father Nomar gave a wonderful history of this lovely and historic spot.

Here's a little clip of the lovely view from the Basilica.

Victor then took us to a restaurant that had electricity.  The meals were delicious and then, the lights flickered and we were in the dark.

Poppy Green, of RAM devised a nice way to use his I-Phone to shed some light.

It was "Dinner by I-Phone Light"

At the end of this long day, we collapsed in our "borrowed home" where our teams stay in Aguadilla.

Praise God for protection and grace to carry on.

Today, the RAM Team will be about inspecting locations and I'll be preparing for our next "Exploratory" flights to some isolated islands.

THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support.  I'm so blessed to have you on this mission with me!!

2ND LEG UPCOMING....

The 1st leg of this current mission (Haiti) has been successful!

Our Inventory of Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purifiers is at an acceptable level.

This means that should a purifier require service, the operator simply brings in their unit and we "swap" it out for a refurbished unit right on the spot at NO CHARGE!

That keeps CLEAN WATER flowing!

Did you know, that for the past 13 years, we've been able to place 347 Air Mobile Rescuers throughout Haiti.

This has been by the Amazing Grace of God and the generous support and help from you, our donors!

You may also know that we've been able to help Haiti with Air Traffic Control support.  I represent the Harris Corporation and we've been able to place all new, state-of-the-art ATC communications into Port-au-Prince and Cap Haitian.

Yesterday, I had a wonderful meeting with the Director General (Olivier Jean) of OFNAC (the FAA of Haiti).

Olivier is also a 767 Pilot and knows Aviation.  He's a good man for the job!

We're discussing ways to make the airports in Haiti safer and more efficient.

BTW, I like Olivier's hat!!!!

So far, so good.  The 1st leg of the mission is complete and it's time to head into the Islands that have been devastated by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Will be departing Haiti today and going to our next location.  Will let you know where...when we get there.

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

LIVE:  FROM THE HAITI "DESK" & "STRANGER THINGS" FROM THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE

The first leg of our "Follow-Up / Exploratory" Mission begins in Haiti.

I'm sitting at the "Haiti Desk" sipping a cup of delicious coffee.  A nice way to start the day.

Yesterday began with a near "Zero/Zero" visibility morning.  Had to wait just a bit for the thick ground fog to clear up so that I could safely taxi.

As the sun burned off a bit of the fog, had a prayer for safety and wisdom and took off for Haiti.

Climbed to 17,000'.  Miami then gave a change to my route because of Grand Turk Radar being out of service.

I cancelled the IFR for VFR and climbed to 17,500' for a direct route to Haiti.  That's when I saw something "Strange" in the....... Bermuda Triangle.

At first, I couldn't believe my eyes, then I whipped out my phone and captured, what appeared to be, a full blown Missile / Rocket Launch right before me.

Here's  a little "Running Commentary" on what I saw.  Hmmmm, indeed, "Stranger Things" in the Caribbean.

The rest of my flight went without incident.

However, that "Projectile" did pass rather close to the Little Donkey.

I was just hoping (and praying) there were no "Heat Seeking Missiles" to follow!

Here's another short clip showing just how close that 'projectile' came by the Little Donkey.

Had a smooth landing at Port-au-Prince.  Secured the cargo that will be going to our next destination Island that has been ravaged by Hurricane Maria.

Arrived at the Village and was greeted by Barbara.  It's been a while since I've been in Haiti....thanks to Harvey, Irma and Maria.

We had a couple of long overdue games of Yahtzee and just caught up on the latest news from Haiti.  Haiti is still a mess!

Will be in several meetings today dealing with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Search & Rescue (SAR).  May our Lord lead each step of the way.

So, it's time to head out into the beautiful day that Lord has made.  As I say every single day (without exception) and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

CLEAN WATER FOLLOW UP & EXPLORATION......

Today, I'll be launching a mission to the Islands.  The plan is to visit a number of sites where we've been.  It's always a good idea to "follow up" and be sure that the Rescuers are up and running well.

Will also visit some Islands that have been "passed over".  Often, the sparsely populated Islands get forgotten during the storms.

Will not publish my exact route and itinerary for security reasons.

I'll be flying very long, over the water, legs and sure would appreciate your prayer.  Will also be going into places where security is limited.  This is the reason that I am praying for His Wisdom and guidance.

The Little Donkey is loaded, fueled and ready.  The weather looks good and it's time to launch.

I'm THANKFUL for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

THEREFORE, GET WISDOM.....

Often, life comes at us "FAST" and unrelenting.  It's very easy to just get too busy and forget to spend time in our Lord's Word.  I'm "Guilty" as charged.

Was up very early this morning.  So many things to do.  Then, I realized that I just needed some time in the Word.

So, being the 4th, I opened to Proverbs 4 and ahhhh.  "Get Wisdom, get Understanding... Wisdom is the Principal thing".

These last few months have been insanely  busy with 3 major storms back to back to back  (Harvey, Irma and Maria).

Have hardly had time to just rest and meditate on the Word of God and yes, I've missed it.

Oh, there have been moments of quiet and tranquility, but few and far between.  There have moments of great joy in bringing thirsty people CLEAN WATER.

Our Lord has been so good as to entrust to us this wonderful water purifier and you, who have helped us to bring clean water to a thirsty world.

And....it's not over.  We're planning another mission soon that will take us to Haiti, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Dominica and other isolated islands.

So, for now, I'll rejoice in our Lord's precious Word and seek His Wisdom as to where to go and when to go there.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

So, my blog this morning is very short and my quest today is to get my laptop back up and running.

In the meantime, wheels are in motion for our "Next Mission".

Stay tuned and please pray that the laptop woes come to an end.  God bless and THANK YOU for traveling on this winding journey with us.

MEANWHILE IN PUERTO RICO....WATER WOES MOUNT

Have been in close touch with numerous Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purifier Operators in Puerto Rico.

As a matter of fact, received a call from one Operator last night around 10:00pm.  Had to talk them through changing a fuse in the power cord.  Had clean water flowing within minutes.

Praise God that the cell network is beginning to function a bit better!

However, water borne disease is still spreading and continuing to rise.  Here's a story from this morning regarding this increasingly alarming situation...

We do plan to return to Puerto Rico in the near future.  Pieces are coming together for our "Next Mission".

Upon arrival into Puerto Rico, we will be continuing to lay the foundation for the upcoming Remote Area Medical Outreach (RAM).

We're so THANKFUL that RAM will be working in Puerto Rico during this growing crisis.  The plan is for thousands to receive much needed medical care.

"Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops"!!

Have also been in touch with my good friend, Bob Bostic of "Deliver the Difference" (DTD).  DTD "delivers" food to the hungry.  We've worked closely with Bob all over the world.  We'll be working together again with DTD in Puerto Rico.

Together, we're working on bringint Food, Water & Medical Care to those in deep need.  Praise God for unity in sharing our Lord's love!!

On this next mission, we also hope to reach out to several isolated Islands that have received little or no help.  With our Lord's help, we'll be able to help them also.

So, for now, we continue to prepare for the "Next Mission".  As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

BEING THANKFUL....& THE "NEXT MISSION"

I love November.  It's a time of special beauty as the leaves change and air gets that wonderful nip.

Cindy and I long to be at the cabin in the mountains of East Tennessee but....we'll just have to settle for the beauty that we have right here in Florida.

We're just THANKFUL that the there are no major weather catastrophe's going on....for the time being.

It gives us time to plan for our "Next Mission"....wherever that might be.

This morning, I'll be having breakfast with my good friend and fellow pilot, Darrel Gordon.

Darrel has helped us in so many ways, but especially in providing us with Delta Buddy Passes...all over the world.

We're just THANKFUL for good friends and for the blessing of being able to help others.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!
