QUICK TURN....
Had a perfect flight from Liberia, Costa Rica then to Houston then to Orlando. Got home around 9:30pm.
While at the Houston Airport, Cindy and I got in a couple of games of Rummy. Love that game.
Cindy is extremely hard to beat, but I love trying. Our score was 1 to 1.
We then boarded the flight back to Orlando. Our pilots did a superb job of threading the needle through some pretty strong storms.
We landed right on time. THANKS UNITED!!
This morning, we're unpacking, washing our clothes, re-packing and then....heading up to Tennessee.
We've got fields to mow, fallen trees to cut for firewood and a host of chores to do. I'll be operating out of our TN Cabin for the next week or two.
Still can't get over what a restful, inspiring, sweet time we just had in Costa Rica. Our Lord is so GOOD!!!
THANK YOU, for your precious prayer, love and support. Time to hit the road for the 12 hour trip to the TN Cabin.

HEADING HOME....
After 4 amazing days here in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, it's time to head back to the U.S.
Costa Rica is absolutely INCREDIBLE! We hope to come back someday.
The beach and the whole atmosphere has been sweet.
Among the many blessings in Costa Rica is their COFFEE!
Costa Rica is known world-wide as producing one of the best coffees on the planet. I tend to agree!!
We visited the Tamarindo Coffee Roasters and we're just THANKFUL to our Lord for giving us this wonderful little bean!
Then, it just so happened that this restaurant, with a unique name....EAT AT JOE'S...served good food at a reasonable price.
Seems that is the story over much of Costa Rica. That's why it's an extremely attractive spot for American retirees.
No, we're not quite there yet but....will certainly consider it when the time is right.
Well, we ended the day with the famous Tamarindo sunset.
Here, Cindy, Ari and Somebody else's dog enjoyed the spectacular show.
So, it's time to pack up and meet our driver at 3:45AM for the hour + ride to the Liberia Airport.
I am especially THANKFUL for this little "get-away". Cindy, Ari and I have had a glorious time of simply enjoying the beauty and wonder of our Lord's creation.
My faith has been strengthened and I'm standing for a COMPLETE HEALING in my body.
As I say every single day and truly mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

REST...TO THE GOLDEN BLUE SUNSET
We just hung out at the lovely Airbnb, ate delicious food, played Rummy and waited for the sunset.
We were not disappointed!
After that intense zip-lining and horseback riding, the rest was wonderful and needed.
If you haven't ridden horses for a while, you'll find that certain muscles get used that haven't been used in a while.
As we approached the beach and walked into this golden glory, we knew that we were in for a treat.
Here's Ari...a gift from God to Cindy and me.
I so well remember the little girl whom we adopted 12 years ago. Ari loves Jesus and has grown into a lovely, caring, precious young lady.
Cindy and I will remember this moment in time on the beach at Tamarindo, Costa Rica for a long time.
THANK GOD for GLORIOUS SUNSETS!!
I just had to capture a few seconds of this magnificent display of colors.
It's simple, precious, glorious moments like this that brings us closer to the Heart of God and His Magnificent Creation!
Today, we'll be doing some adventure. Not quite sure what. We've left it open. This will be our last full day here on this little get-away. We depart early tomorrow morning.
It's been a wonderful trip and I'm so THANKFUL for my Cindy arranging it.
THANK YOU, as always for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

"ZIPPING" THROUGH THE RAIN FOREST....
A day filled with wonder, beauty & adrenaline.
We had a blast (very intense) going on 7 zip-lines deep into the Costa Rican rain forest.
Was very impressed with Ari's courage and style. She's a real "Trooper"!
After the thrill of zipping and having a delicious lunch, it was off to the Horses.
Oh, it's been a while since I've ridden. Thank God for a gentle and obedient horse.
Likewise, Cindy and Ari did great and again, our guides were just super.
We then headed back to Tamarindo. Our driver, Percy did a superb job.
Central American Tours (CAT) is a wonderful organization. We had an amazing day of thrills, joy and exhilaration!!
We were back in time for another one of those spectacular, memorable Tamarindo Sunsets!
What a glorious event...and it happens every day around the same time.
Our Lord loves to show Himself to us through His glorious creation.
I can't begin to tell you how THANKFUL I am for my precious Cindy arranging this wonderful "Get-Away" at this time.
Our Lord knows the beginning and the end and HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US!
So, THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with me. Your precious prayer, love and support is so appreciated!!!

SWEET CHURCH....
We began yesterday with worship at the Tamarindo Church. Great message and sweet fellowship.
The rest of the day was filled with multiple visits to the beach, good food and rummy.
Cindy and I love to play Rummy. She has an uncanny grasp of numbers and a great memory. She's VERY hard to beat.
Not only is she hard to beat, but she has an uncanny knack of finding money.
She actually found 12,000 Colones (about $21 USD) just lying on the ground. She's just blessed!
Several days ago, I shared that I have been diagnosed with Cancer. It's just another mountain to climb and challenge to face. I extremely THANKFUL for the many notes of encouragement and knowing that so many are praying for me.
Cindy and I are certainly PRAYING for our Lord's HEALING according to His Word and His Promises.
But you know, it's at times like this, that one tends to notice the "Little things" around us. Thus my short clip a small rock formation on the beach (LOL).
It is also fun to see Cindy and Ari having such a good time and hearing their laughter.
Ariana is an absolute pleasure to travel with. Her deep joy and love of life and her love for Jesus is amazing.
The day ended with a spectacular sunset. These are famous here in Tamarindo.
Literally hundreds just sat there in awe as the sun dipped below the horizon and the sky exploded in glorious golds & blues & so many hues and exquisite shades.
Today, we're up early to go zip-lining and jungle exploring and horse-back riding and mud baths and who knows what else.
Life is good and sweet and Jesus so near and I'm just glad to be alive.
As always, THANK YOU for your faithful and vital prayer, love and support!!

COSTA RICA: THE JEWEL OF CENTRAL AMERICA....
Cindy, Ari and I boarded an American Airlines flight, bound for a sweet "Get Away".
It was our first time to Costa Rica. It's reputation was spot on.
What a BEAUTIFUL country! From the moment we landed, the cleanliness, order and courtesy was everywhere.
There was no jostling or grabbing or yelling when we transferred out of the airport.
Our driver was waiting for us and the hour drive to Tamarindo was smooth and sweet.
Looking at the map, Costa Rica is surrounded by other Central American countries that are in chaos, poverty, desperation and violence.
What makes this lovely country different? We'll explore a bit of that over the next few days.
To begin with, take a quick look at Wikipedia. This country is spectacular in so many ways.
COSTA RICA: ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA
Again, I'm so glad that my precious Cindy planned this little "GET AWAY"!
The recent news from my doctor....is making this trip more timely and greatly appreciated.
After arriving at our Airbnb in Tamarindo, we went shopping and Cindy made a wonderful dinner out of fresh vegetables and produce grown right here.
This morning, we'll be heading to Church and then to the beach and beyond.
I know I say this every single day, but I so mean it with all of my heart...THANK YOU for taking this journey through life with me.
Your invaluable prayer, love and support are greatly appreciated. GOD BLESS YOU!!

ANOTHER JOURNEY....
Yesterday, Cindy and I went to my doctor. The news was not good... I have cancer. Have been tracking this for some time. We learned the results of the biopsy yesterday.
Now, I know that our Lord Jesus paid the price, not only for our sins, but also for our healing.
I am standing firmly on His Word and His Promises for healing and asking for His guidance from the Holy Spirit to direct our steps and also give our doctors wisdom.
You have joined us on Missions & Journeys all over the world. I'd like to invite you to join me on this journey with your prayer and love.
It just so happened, that a month ago, my Cindy planned a little vacation for us to go Costa Rica. We're up early to catch a flight to Miami and then to Costa Rica. The timing could not be any better.
When we return, I'll be taking more tests and further identifying the best course to take for this challenge.
I know that there will be good days and bad days ahead.
I also know that our Lord Jesus has promised to NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US.
I am holding tightly onto His Hand and above all, seek HIS WILL for my life.
Again, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

MY PILLOW & SKILLET
Since the debacle of the Mueller Testimony swirled through our nation, there has been an explosive growing movement toward Jesus.
PRAISE GOD!!!
I say that, because this morning, over a cup of coffee, I just saw Mike Lindell being a bit coy about running for Congress, but whether he does or not, he's standing for Jesus. He has an AMAZING testimony.
Went from a cocaine / crack addict to an extremely successful businessman and an open and bold Christian.
Then, Fox & Friends has Skillet, an awesome Christian Band who stand for Jesus with their music, talent and testimony. WOW!
Now, it won't surprise me to hear of accusations and even vicious attacks on these who stand for Jesus. I'm reminded of Romans 3:23....ALL HAVE SINNED & COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD!
At any rate, today, I'm PRAYING for those who stand for Jesus. I'm also THANKFUL that lies and false accusations are being exposed.
I'm further reminded of the Words of our Lord Jesus..."You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free".
THANK YOU JESUS!!
So, on this Friday morning, I go forth and embrace my Lord Jesus with joy in my heart. I PRAY for those who are making a STAND for JESUS!!
As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart!! THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

WAKING UP FROM THE "RED EYE"....RE-CAP MISSION
The sights, sounds, smells & incredible folks are still fresh in my mind after the WHIRLWIND trip that Tony and I just made to California.
Was able to visit with dear friends from many years ago and walk down long-forgotten paths.
So many memories....
We gained a lot of insight into the "homeless" in L.A. and San Francisco.
We heard of miracles and angels and saw the suffering and courage of so many.
The tragedy and pain on the streets is staggering.
We were able to introduce some to the Lord Jesus and share the Good News of the Gospel.
We felt numerous earthquakes following those powerful, major earthquakes (6.4 & 7.1) that shook California several weeks ago.
We experienced wild-fires up close (could literally feel the heat).
BTW, this shot was not "zoomed in".
That wild-fire just blew up out of nowhere.
We had just traveled this same road hours before and there was not a wisp of smoke.
That's how fast these things happen.
We met with wonderful leaders and discussed EMERGENCY PREPARATIONS for the "Next Disaster".
We were encouraged by the reports we heard and the deep discussions about how we can be better prepared.
Of course, a top need following any disaster is CLEAN WATER!
We were able to share our own experiences of bringing CLEAN WATER to the thirsty and how that turns into LIVING WATER!!
THANK YOU Will and Marianne for your gracious HOSPITALITY!
So, yesterday afternoon, after an amazing journey to California, I brought Tony Baratta, a great brother and extremely gifted Director / Producer to the airport for his flight back to his beloved Melissa and home.
THANK YOU TONY for joining me on this journey...right out of the Book of Acts!
Finally, last night, was able to lay my head down and have a good night of sleep.
Today, will take these intense experiences and put them at the feet of our Lord and seek His direction for this day.
And THANK YOU for meandering down this path of life with me and above all for your invaluable and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

GLENDORA TO LAGUNA BEACH TO CORANADO TO SAN DIEGO TO ORLANDO TO...HOME!
Home at last! What a wonderful, whirlwind "Mission to California"!
We departed Glendora yesterday morning and bid farewell to our dear Sister Marianne.
What gracious and wonderful hosts she and Will were to us. Right out of the Bible (I Peter 4:9). THANKS Will and Marianne!
Tony and I departed Glendora for a brief stop and visit in beautiful Laguna Beach. What a gorgeous place!
From Laguna it was on to see my dear cousin Nancy. Also needed a place to put a couple of Air Mobile Rescuers for later pick up and deployment.
THANK YOU Nancy and Rick!!
The clock was ticking toward our departure time. We dashed to San Diego to see my dear Brother In Christ, Dale Collins.
Dale, at 93 is sharp and so full of the love of Jesus. I love this Brother dearly.
When I was a "Rookie" Missionary, Dale reached out to me with wisdom and funding. I'll never forget his kindness.
As I mentioned before, Dale recently lost his love, Dolores after 68 years of marriage.
Here they were as young kids in love with each other and with JESUS!
Please remember to pray for Dale as he deals with this great loss. But....He knows where Dolores is and they will be re-united one day.
Tony and I made it to the airport with good time left over and boarded our Frontier Flight for Orlando.
Even though there is a Tropical Depression right off the coast of Florida (with lots of turbulence), the Frontier pilot did a superb job of dodging the weather and gave us a beautiful flight and a very smooth landing.
We landed at 5:00 am (a true Red-Eye) and our faithful Water Mule, Yahn picked us up. Oh, it's good to be home!!!
The "California Mission" is over, but many, many good seeds were planted. We met with some amazing Church leaders and so many others. "WE'LL BE BACK"!
THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

A GOOD "PROMISE".....& CATCHING A "RED EYE"
Our good friends Will and Marianne lined up a wonderful meeting at the "Promise Christian University" (PCU).
It was an honor to meet them and exchange books and tell them about the remarkable Air Mobile Rescuer.
There were Pastors, Chaplains, Pilots, a retired Sheriff Deputy and others in the meeting.
I was able to clearly present the Air Mobile Rescuer and how vital this tool can be following any disaster.
Of course, we know that California a "HOT-BED" of WILD FIRES & EARTHQUAKES
Remember, we just drove right next to a Wild-Fire & even felt a few earthquakes the other day.
The exchange with this group was fantastic and I'm so THANKFUL to have been able to be with them yesterday.
Today, Tony and I will be heading to Laguna Beach to meet with more leaders, specifically business leaders, Pastors and First Responders.
We're THANKFUL to Scott Hutchinson for lining up these meetings.
This whole Mission to California has reminded me of "episodes" out of the Book of Acts.
Our gracious Hosts, Will and Marianne Cintron provided us with lovely accommodations, fantastic meals and excellent contacts.
Wow!! An incredible illustration of I Peter 4:9..."OFFER HOSPITALITY TO ONE ANOTHER"!!
So, this morning we bid farewell to our dear friends and hit the road for the famous..Laguna Beach and more opportunities to help others in time of need.
Then....later this evening, Tony and I will board a Frontier Airline flight back to Florida. Our arrival time in Orlando: 5:00am Wednesday morning (the RED-EYE).
THANK YOU for coming along on this excellent adventure in Christ.
And above all, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

SEARCHING FOR THE HOMELESS... & CAUGHT IN A WILD-FIRE
Tony and I were up early yesterday morning with a map in-hand telling us where we could find homeless folks in downtown San Francisco. The map and good advice was provided to us by Cleve.
Cleve, our hotel manager, grew up in the Bay Area. He explained the tremendous challenges in dealing with the homeless.
The problem is....the homeless folks keep moving or keep getting moved. In other words, they're a 'moving target'.
How do folks end up on the street? Cleve said, for example, a 1 bedroom apartment can cost as much as $3400 per month. That's staggering!
All a person has to do is miss a pay-check or two and before they know it, they're homeless. Oh, there are so many reasons, but Cleve helped us to understand more of the San Francisco situation.
So, Tony and I hit the streets of San Francisco looking and praying for our Lord to lead us to whom He would want us to minister.
Then we saw a lady between 2 buildings and I sensed our Lord wanted us to go to her.
Her name is Neesie (Short for Denise). This precious lady told us her story.
Like so many, a series of financial problems occurred and before she knew it.... she was on the street.
She told us how our Lord healed her from esophagus cancer after watching Kenneth & Gloria Copeland in 1997.
Her story was fascinating and the whole time, we could sense the sweetness of the Lord in her.
She shared how our Lord leads her to safe areas and how angels of the Lord protect her.
Now Folks, there are thousands and thousands of homeless people all across our nation. Tony and I were so THANKFUL to our Lord for leading us to Neesie.
After our time "on the streets" of San Francisco, it was time to head back to Glendora. We have more meetings scheduled with Church Leaders. We'll be going over ways and means to PREPARE for disasters and how the Church can reach out to the suffering.
This "Wild Fire" was growing with tremendous intensity right before our eyes and getting dangerously close to our line of traffic.
It was wonderful to watch the Fire Fighters who were right on it and working rapidly to contain it.
Again, this sudden wild fire demonstrates how rapidly things can change.
That's why it's a good thing to lean heavily upon our Lord each day for His guidance and protection.
I'm reminded of Psalm 91...ABIDING UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY!!
After "dodging" those flames, we rolled into Glendora.
Again, we're so THANKFUL to our gracious hosts, Will & Marianne Cintron. They have been invaluable in helping on this California Mission.
Our Lord urges us to be Hospitable and these 2 certainly demonstrate that. THANKS WILL & MARIANNE!
So, today, we'll be in extensive meetings regarding how the Church can better PREPARE and reach out to those who are suffering.
As always, THANK YOU for you precious prayer, love and support!!!

SITTING ON THE DOCK OF THE BAY....
Tony and I had an uneventful 365 mile drive up I-5 to San Francisco from Glendora (near L.A.).
No significant quakes along the way, thank God!
As we eased into Downtown, there was no immediate evidence of the homeless. But we know that they're there. Today, we'll be visiting a number of locations.
We did work our way to the Famous "Fisherman's Wharf". I have so many memories of this old "dock".
Couldn't stop singing Otis Redding's famous...."Sitting on the Dock of the Bay".
BTW, I was in San Francisco when Otis sang that song and would often "Sit on the Dock of the Bay". Didn't know Jesus yet.
So, Tony and I spent hours just driving around the "Streets of San Francisco". Reminds me of an old TV Series.
Actually ended up at the house where I lived, 647 33rd Ave near Gold Gate Park.
It was in this very garage that I built an electric sign that flew under a Helicopter and rolled out ticker tape messages.
The year: 1969. Memories.....
The thing that stood out to Tony and I was just how few "Homeless" we found as we drove around. Overall, the streets that we drove on were quite clean and orderly.
Now, I'm not saying that there are NOT a lot of homeless on the streets of San Francisco. They are mainly concentrated in a part of downtown that we have not yet visited and intend to this morning.
So, Tony and I crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and had a cup of Chowder at the Trident Restaurant. More memories. I used to hang out there....50 years ago.
Then it was back at Fisherman's Wharf and a delicious seafood dinner at the Famous "Alioto's", another hang out of mine many years ago.
This has definitely been a walk down Memory Lane for me.
We struck up a conversation. I asked him if he knew Jesus.
Wow, out came an amazing depth of understanding of our Lord's love and power of forgiveness through His sacrifice on the Cross.
We prayed together.
This morning, Tony and I are headed to the section of town where the homeless live.
May our Lord use us to bring His Good News to these who are suffering.
As always, THANK YOU for your faithful and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

DRIVING THE "FAULT"...RETURN TO SAN FRANCISCO
Today, Tony and I will depart Glendora, CA and drive to San Francisco. Our route takes us along the San Andreas Fault.
I, like you, have heard about the famous (infamous) San Andreas Fault all my life.
The question in our minds is...WHEN...will the BIG ONE HIT?
We don't know, but, as for me, I'm simply trusting our Lord to lead me and guide me each step of the way.
Here's more - THE SAN ANDREAS FAULT ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA
Many years ago, I lived in San Francisco. Today, Tony and I are driving there to do some investigation on the homeless folks living on the streets.
Along the way, we'll be praying as we drive on and parallel the San Andreas Fault. Seismologists have been saying for some time that a MAJOR QUAKE is overdue.
Only our Lord knows exactly WHEN this will occur. We simply want to be ready and in a position to help when it does. Thus our Journey today.
Last night, our gracious hosts, Marianne & Will, took Tony and I out to the amazing Shogun Japanese Restaurant.
All I can say is WOW! What a meal. The Chef put on an incredible show and the meal was...memorable!!
I'm so THANKFUL for our dear friends, Marianne and Will. They are faithful PRAYER PARTNERS and have been such gracious hosts for Tony and I.
Our Lord tells us to be HOSPITABLE and these two certainly obey that order beautifully.
Along the way home, Tony snapped this lovely shot of one of the spectacular views so prevalent in California.
California is such an amazing state, so rich in beauty and resources. We pray that the leaders don't "squander" it away.
So, it's time to fill the coffee "To Go" cups and hit the road along the "Fault".
THANK YOU, as always, for your truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

"GROUND ZERO" STILL SHAKING.....
Tony and I hit the road for Ridgecrest, CA. This is where the 2 major quakes (6.4 & 7.1) occurred several weeks ago. While on the ground there, I sensed a quake or two. This area is still QUITE ACTIVE.
Ridgecrest is the home of China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS).
The base did have damage, but we were unable to enter the base without clearance.
Here's more on China Lake - CHINA LAKE N.A.W.S.
We visited the Maturango Museum, a great source of local information.
BTW, it's a wonderful Museum. If you're ever in the area, check it out.
There we met Cindy. She's lived in the area all of her life and her knowledge of the region is vast.
She told us how the water supply to neighboring Trona (about 30 miles south) was disrupted when the main water line was damaged by the quakes.
Tony and I drove to Trona to investigate and see what the situation is in Trona.
The main water line is above ground and runs right next to ridges with huge boulders. This makes it very vulnerable to earthquakes.
For now, the water is cut-off and the line is being repaired.
In the meantime, folks are living on bottled water.
We were very pleased to see the the San Bernardino Preparedness & Response Program (PRP) Team in action.
There was a large stockpile of water bottles. This is good for temporary relief. It helps the local folks get through this difficult time.
Fortunately, the roads were not damaged allowing the delivery of the water bottles. Of course, water is heavy and difficult to transport.
We saw some damage done to homes in Trona.
Older homes were especially vulnerable to the powerful quakes.
Tony and I drove back to our "Base" in Glendora, that has been graciously provided to us by Marianne & Will Cintron.
On the way back to our "Base" we discussed the fact that these quakes took place in very lightly populated areas.
If they would have occurred in heavily populated areas, there would have been loss of life, extreme structural damage and water lines cut off for extended periods of time.
So, today, we're preparing for more meetings with folks who are PREPARING for what may lie ahead. Tony and I are very THANKFUL to be here at this time. May our Lord use us for His Glory!!
As always, THANK YOU for your vital prayer, love and support!!!

FROM THE "VALLEY" TO THE STREETS OF L.A.
We discussed EMERGENCY PLANS and the EXTREME need for CLEAN WATER in the event of...."the next Big One".
The Lead Outreach Pastor, Michael Kisaka explained their recent experience with the terrible fires and how CCV worked closely with other churches to meet the needs.
We were also joined by Rev. Byron Hack of Glad Tidings India, a great ministry to the "Untouchables" & beyond.
I was able to explain the operation of the Air Mobile Rescuer and share our experiences in dealing with disasters.
At the end of our meeting, Dr. Phillip Myles led us in prayer with a POWERFUL Anointing of the Holy Spirit. PRAISE GOD for the Body of Christ working together!!
There, at the base of spectacular, shiny buildings were rows of tents surrounded by meager belongings and so many broken dreams.
Tony and I walked down Broadway and found Joe. My first question was...where did he get clean water and use the bathroom.
Joe was an incredible guy and told us his story. He was an Air Force "Brat" born in Japan. His profession was "Restaurant Service". He did it all.
Was headed to L.A. to help a friend open a restaurant when his car caught fire and he lost everything. Then a series of unfortunate events landed him on the street.
I marveled at his ingenuity. He found a "cool" place under the trees, with good "security" directly across from the L.A. Times.
Right around the corner was a reliable water fountain and remarkably clean bathroom facilities. He definitely picked a good spot to "live on the street".
Joe was the "Mayor" of this block. He helped his "neighbors" with many things. I liked Joe the second I met him.
Then, I asked Joe if he'd ever accepted Jesus as his Savior. "I did as a little boy" he said quietly. It was time for Joe to come back to Jesus.
Please remember to PRAY for Joe as he walks with Jesus.
From that amazing encounter with Joe, Tony and I explored the area around City Hall.
We then cruised through the downtown streets and right through Compton to the Santa Monica Beach.
It was a stark contrast...from the sidewalk 'homes' to the spectacular famous Santa Monica Beach.
But the joy of leading Joe to Jesus was overwhelming. THANK YOU JESUS!
Oh Lord, please use us to help those who are in such need.
Tony and I then hit afternoon traffic and crawled back to our "Base" (thanks to Marianne & Will).
Today, we're heading to "Ground Zero".... Ridgecrest, CA where the 6.4 & 7.1 Temblors struck. May our Lord each step of the way.

UN-PREPARED....
I think it's simply "Human Nature". We don't particularly like to think about "bad things" happening, thus our lack of preparedness.
Here's more on this subject....EVEN AFTER HUGE EARTHQUAKES...MUCH OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA UNPREPARED FOR THE "BIG ONE"
However, here in California, things are are definitely "shaking".
Yesterday, there were a few more quakes closer to San Francisco & Ridgecrest (where the 6.4 & 7.1 quakes hit earlier).
Seismologists are clearly WARNING that it's just a matter of time before another significant quake strikes. That's why we're here in California at this time.
Yesterday morning, had wonderful fellowship with my dear friend of so many years, Dale Collins and his wonderful family.
I'm so glad that our Lord caused my path to cross with Dale's 40 years ago.
Please remember to Pray for Dale and his family, after the loss of his beloved Dolores after 68 years of marriage.
From San Diego, Tony and I hit the road for Laguna Beach to meet my good friend Scott Hutchinson.
Scott and I have worked on a number of projects, including our Mission to South Sudan.
Scott arranged for us to meet with a famous Laguna Beach Surfer and Believer, Ryah Arthur.
I was able to show Ryah the Air Mobile Rescuer and how we can provide vital, clean water following any disaster. We gained good insight in this meeting.
From Laguna Beach, Tony and I then headed to Glendora to meet with our dear friends Marianne and Will Cintron.
Marianne came to Haiti on a mission trip 35 years ago where we first met and we've been friends ever since.
They'll be hosting us for a few days. I THANK GOD for these two and their wonderful hospitality.
Today, we'll be in meetings with Church Leaders in this area to discuss ways and means to encourage Preparing and specifically dealing with how to provide CLEAN WATER to those in need.
Tony and I are praying for our Lord to lead us as we get closer to the "Ground Zero" (Ridgecrest) of the recent POWERFUL QUAKES.

GOING WEST....
Tony & I boarded a Frontier flight to San Diego. Our pilot did a good job of steering us around "Barry" and we landed right on time.
I never take "uneventful" flights for granted. They're a gift from God.
San Diego is a beautiful city and the weather is "generally" spectacular as it was upon landing.
We then headed straight to see my dear friend of so many years (over 40) Dale Collins. Dale was the Missions Director for "Wings of Healing" for 53 years.
Dale has played such a major role in my life. When I was an "extreme" rookie missionary in Haiti, Dale found me and encouraged me in incredible ways. I owe so much to Dale and of course, our Lord Jesus!!
Dale recently lost his beloved Dolores after 68 years of marriage. I just had to spend some time with my precious brother.
We PRAYED together and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit was so strong!!
So today, Tony and I will be heading out getting closer to the actual "Ground Zero" of the recent quakes that have rocked California.
Along the way, we'll be in meetings with folks who are interested in "PREPARING" for the "NEXT BIG ONE".
Things are heating up and beginning to SHAKE again.
Here's more - RIDGECREST EARTHQUAKE AFTER-SHOCKS MOVE TOWARD DANGEROUS FAULTS, SPARKING CONCERNS OF TRIGGERED TEMBLORS!

BARRY'S MOVING ON....
As the forecasters said....Barry is bringing a lot of water. However, the flooding, though serious, is not nearly as bad as it could be.
Levees are holding and critical flood levels are actually going down.
Air Mobile is ready to go if the need for our portable water purifiers are needed.
Typically, that is when folks are cut-off and don't have access to clean water. For now, THANK GOD, that is NOT the case.
Our folks on the ground in Louisiana are sending us regular reports on the actual conditions throughout the region. Our team is ready to go if called upon.
Overall, I would say...LOUISIANA HAS DODGED A BULLET. PRAISE GOD!!!
Here's more - BARRY'S IMPACT: FLOODING & TOPPLED TREES IN MISSISSIPPI - EVACUATION ORDER LIFTED IN LOUISIANA!!
Meanwhile, this afternoon, Tony Baratta and I will be boarding a Frontier flight for California.
We'll be going to the "ground zero" of the recent Major Quakes that have stricken that region.
Our goal is to assess the area in the event of another MAJOR quake, which seismologists are saying will occur.....sooner than later.
Here's more - THE SAN ANDREAS FAULT IS ABOUT TO CRACK...HERE'S WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN IT DOES
Of course, we've known that for a long time and we simply want to be in a good position to help when it does.
So, the Adventure continues as Tony & I are west-bound. May our Lord lead us each step of the way!!!
As I say every day and truly mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

STANDING BY....
We've been in close communications with folks on the ground in the Baton Rouge, New Orleans area and we're on "Stand-by" to deploy.
At this point, the flood waters are still rising. WE PRAY for our Lord's leading.
Yahn, our great "WATER MULE" has done a good job of getting Air Mobile Rescuers "ready for action".
Yesterday evening, while meeting some old friends for dinner, came across Garrett Scarborough. Garrett is a GREAT WATER MULE and has joined Air Mobile all over the world.
He was so glad to show me his latest accomplishment, becoming an EMT!
Also, Garrett has offered to bring in Air Mobile Rescuers if needed. He's in touch with a unit that may be deploying to the Louisiana storm region. Surely.....
"Our Lord knows how to deploy His troops"!!
I'm so THANKFUL that our Lord has brought Tony Baratta this way to join me on the "Mission" to California.
Tony has done GREAT documentaries all over the world and will have his camera (phone) with us. Tony has a remarkable, God-given gift to "Capture the Moment".
So, today, we're on our way to Church and then Tony will be joining me on our "mission" to the Hospital to deliver the Good News of Jesus to those who are suffering.
It was so good seeing my dear friends, Bob Ley and Tom Case. We go way back. These guys are PRAYER WARRIORS!!
Time to head out the door in this day that our Lord has made. May he guide us each step of the way!!

REMARKABLE FORECASTING....
As a pilot, and especially one who flies long-distance flights over the ocean, I truly appreciate good weather forecasting!
We've been tracking "Barry" for over a week. This storm formed around west Tennessee and has looped around and now "Knocking" on Louisiana's door.
I must take off my hat to the Weather Forecasters who have done an absolutely AMAZING job of first identifying "Barry" and calling this storms movements to near perfection. BRAVO!
Here's more - NO MATTER WHAT'S IT'S CALLED, BARRY IS A BIG PROBLEM!
Major, catastrophic FLOODING is the big problem with Barry.
We're in close contact with folks on the ground who are beginning feel the lashing winds and destructive rains from Barry.
We'll be putting our teams together today for both possible Louisiana deployment and our mission to California.
PLEASE PRAY with us that our Lord puts us EXACTLY where He wants us!!
As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

BARRY....IT'S NOT THE WIND, IT'S THE RAIN!
As my home state of Louisiana prepares for Tropical Storm / Hurricane Barry, many are considering evacuating.
THAT'S A GOOD IDEA!
As this storm "CRAWLS" toward the already saturated low lying land of the Mississippi River delta basin, there's just no place for up to 25" of rain to go.
This situation is very dangerous and massive flooding seems to be inevitable.
We are in close touch with folks on the ground in the region and will respond IF the need for our Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers are needed.
We have an Air Mobile Team in Florida ready to deploy to Louisiana on short notice. We STAND-BY & PRAY for those in the path of this destructive storm.
Here's more....TROPICAL STORM BARRY TO BRING DANGEROUS FLOODING TO LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY - HURRICANE & STORM-SURGE WARNINGS ISSUED
In the meantime, I'm expecting my good friend Tony Baratta to land from Niagra Falls this evening.
Tony and I are scheduled to fly to California on Monday. We'll be heading to the "ground zero" of where the recent POWERFUL Earthquakes (6.4 / 7.1) and over TEN THOUSAND AFTER- SHOCKS are still occurring.
It's NOT a matter of IF, BUT WHEN the next MAJOR EARTHQUAKE will occur. We'll be meeting with Church Leaders and First-Responders to assess the need for CLEAN WATER when this does occur.
Tony is a gifted Documentary Film maker and we'll be recording this journey for a possible "series". May our Lord lead us each step of the way.
So, it's time to pack up and get ready for...."The Next Mission".
As always, THANK YOU for your vital prayer, love and support!!!

TRACKING BARRY....
I so well recall when the levees broke following Katrina. We were there!
We're keeping a very close eye on the developments of potential massive flooding in South Louisiana.
BTW, I'm from Baton Rouge and have a lot of family there.
I just spoke with my life-long friend Dan Andrews in Baton Rouge. He'll be our contact on the ground should massive flooding occur.
I then spoke with Benjie Seal of Southern Helicopters. We've worked with Southern Helicopters on numerous other disasters. We're ready to deploy if the need arises.
THANK YOU BENJIE for your willingness to help us to help others!!
Here's more....POTENTIAL TROPICAL STORM BARRY TO IMPACT GULF COAST WITH SEVERE FLOODING, SURGE, WIND THREATS - HURRICANE WATCH ISSUED
At the same time, we're keeping an extreme close watch on California. We're still planning to travel there in a few days.
California has had 659 quakes in the last 24 hours and 10, 906 quakes in the last week. It's just a matter of time before another MAJOR quake hits that region. We want to be READY!!
We're putting together a Team to travel to South Louisiana if the need arises. Again, we're on stand-by and willing to GO if the call comes.
As always, THANK YOU for your vital prayer, love and support!!!

CALIFORNIA...ON MY MIND & HEART &....HERE COMES BARRY
Recently, a very dear friend of mine, Dale Collins lost his beloved Dolores after 68 years of marriage.
Dolores was one of the sweetest and godliest ladies I have ever known. She will be sorely missed.
I've known Dale & Dolores since the earliest days of this then, "Rookie Missionary".
I had already decided to travel to California and visit with my dear friend and Brother in the Faith.
Then....the 6.4 hit and shortly thereafter, the 7.1.
Dale was the Mission Director for Dr. Thomas Wyatt, a great Preacher (Wings of Healing Ministries) from days gone by. Dale served in that capacity for over 50 years!
40 years ago, somehow, Dale found me in Haiti and donated a gift that allowed me to deliver tons of food to one of the most devastated areas (following Hurricane Frederick) I've ever seen.
Along the treacherous road to this village, our small team was viciously attacked and our Lord SUPERNATURALLY delivered us.
Oh, there's so much more to this story, but I cover that in my book, "Run To The Roar".
Back to Dale. Through this amazing friendship, I was introduced to Rolf Engelhard, the Inventor of the incredible water purifier that we've placed all over the globe (47 countries!).
Only our Lord knows how many lives have been saved because of this remarkable machine.
In just a few days, Tony Baratta (Documentary Film Maker & Great Friend ) and I will be flying to California to, first visit with Dale and then head to the "Ground Zero" of these recent powerful quakes.
We'll be assessing the situation first-hand and then seeing how we can encourage the local Churches to better PREPARE for the "NEXT ONE"! Specifically, how we can help bring CLEAN WATER where most needed.
Here is what leading Seismology Experts are saying....CALIFORNIA QUAKE: MORE MAJOR QUAKES & MONTHS OF AFTER-SHOCKS LIKELY, SEISMOLOGISTS SAY
BTW, California has had 700 quakes in the last 24 hours and 9,500 in the last 7 days. THIS AREA IS SHAKING!!
So, on this rainy day in Florida, as now Tropical Storm Barry is brewing and stewing in the Gulf of Mexico, we PREPARE for the "Next Mission".
THANK YOU, as always, from the bottom of my heart, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

IN "BETWEEN"....
So, a powerful series of earthquakes (6.4 - 7.1) have struck Southern California and so many are saying...."what's next"?
As I've been sharing in this blog, it's the perfect time to take advantage of the slow-down in quakes (though they're still occurring) and build that emergency box / back-pack with vital supplies.
It's a good time to form your PLAN should another large quake occur.
Likewise, here in Florida, we've got what could be a Tropical Storm forming in the Gulf of Mexico. It's a good time to think "Hurricane Preparedness".
Invest 92L will likely form into a significant tropical storm bringing A LOT of rain to the region.
Now, folks, these aren't strange and unusual suggestions. It's a "Wise" form of "Prepping".
We're doing what we can on our end to get as many Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers ready for action if needed. In most disasters, the number 1 need is CLEAN WATER!
As we go through this day, may we walk in His Wisdom!
THANK YOU, as I say every single day, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

A MESSAGE TO "PREPARE"
In light of the powerful 7.1 earthquake that struck California this past weekend preceded by a powerful 6.4 quake, the message is CLEAR. This is a good time to PREPARE.
And, it is being forecast that another significant quake could hit this week. Yes, it's a good time to PREPARE.
Meanwhile, there is an 80% chance of a tropical storm forming in the Gulf of Mexico.
It's good to be "fore-warned" of this storm coming. Again, it's a good time to PREPARE!!
Here's more - HIGH CHANCE (80%) OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION / STORM FORMING IN GULF LATER THIS WEEK
I'm reminded of the Parable of the 10 Virgins in Matthew 25.
5 were wise and 5 were foolish. The wise ones simply bought some extra oil (when they could) and were prepared for the Bridegroom.
Of course, this Parable has many meanings, but I like the idea of being PREPARED for what might lie ahead.
I don't know about you, but I'm certainly guilty of procrastinating. But, at the same time, have been to many disasters around the world and know how important it is to PREPARE.
And, of course, have found that in nearly every disaster, the need for CLEAN WATER is at the top of the list.
Thus, the development of the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier. It is a true GAME CHANGER in any disaster. That is why we're GEARING UP for what might lie ahead.
We, at Air Mobile want to be prepared to go and bring CLEAN WATER where most needed. PLEASE pray about helping us with a donation.
THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

SO CAL....TEETERING....HIGH ANXIETY
SO CAL 7.1 EARTHQUAKE RATTLES STATE "WARY OF THE BIG ONE"!
The big question is....WHAT'S NEXT??
For the most part, the region has dodged the bullet in that there are no reported fatalities and limited damage.
However, this is the perfect time to GET READY! In many ways, it is a message to us all to PREPARE!
Here is some wise counsel....
Officials were urging residents to keep supplies handy — batteries, flashlights, a pair of sneakers — if they hadn’t already.
“Don’t be paralyzed by fear,” Josh Rubenstein, the spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, wrote on Twitter. “Arm yourself with knowledge and a plan. Talk about what you would do when a big one hits. I myself just did that with my daughter and my wife.”
Of course, we know the importance of CLEAN WATER. Earthquakes do BAD things to water supplies, mainly because they break up water lines underground thus causing "CROSS CONTAMINATION" between clean water and sewage. That is why we're preparing as many Air Mobile Rescuers as we can to get ready to deploy to the disaster area if need be.
So, on this Sunday morning, as we're preparing for Church and the Chaplain services at the hospital, we're getting ready for what might lie ahead.
I believe that California has been spared and given a clear warning to get ready. NOW is the best time to PREPARE!!
PLEASE pray about sending a gift to help us to be in a position to DEPLOY IMMEDIATELY with CLEAN WATER.

7.1 QUAKES ROCKS SO-CAL
Following the most powerful quake in 20 years (6.4), last night at 11:07 Eastern time, the same region was ROCKED by a 7.1 quake.
BTW, from a 6.4 to 7.1, the intensity is magnified 11 times!
Here's more on the developing story - 7.1 MAJOR EARTHQUAKE ROCKS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Watch this "Live" newscast on KCAL9 as the quake occurs - "LIVE NEWSCAST ON KCAL9 AS 71 QUAKE OCCURS
Air Mobile is following this story very closely. We're THANKFUL to have Air Mobile Rescuers "READY TO GO".
Please PRAY for those who are in the middle of this developing disaster.
The 6.4 Quake that struck in the Ridgecrest area is now being called a "Fore Shock" to the 7.1 Quake.
Reports are coming in of injuries, extensive damage and power outages.
All in the area are being warned of "After-Shocks" in the 6.0 range. If you are in the earthquake affected zone, BE CAREFUL!!
If you have the opportunity, be sure to begin collecting and gathering emergency supplies such as water, food, medicine, batteries etc.
Stay tuned.

UBER - LIRR - UBER - FRONTIER....HOME
We packed up and navigated our way home from New York City. UBER works like a dream. What a great system.
The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) was right on time and smooth as silk.
Flying in and out of Islip, NY was certainly simple and so much less crowded. We boarded our Frontier flight right on time.
Was impressed with Cindy and Ari carefully reading the Emergency procedures while the Flight Attendant went through the motions. How many of us never look at it....perhaps we should.
The Frontier flight was pleasant and also smooth as silk and.... we landed 15 minutes early. Love it when the system works so well!
So glad that we could provide this wonderful trip for Ari-2 who worked so hard for it.
Congratulations again Ari-2!!
Good to be home. We're "Gearing up" for the NEXT MISSION!
Well, on the Friday between the 4th of July and the weekend, when most are taking a long weekend, may we be reminded about what a great nation we have and how blessed we are.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
What a wonderful country that we live in. All I can say is....GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
So glad that we could be in New York City on this wonderful day of celebration for this great country!!
Just had an amazing day in the Big Apple. We struck out for a pleasant walk / subway / Uber our way through this incredible city.
Stopped at the River to take it all in. The day just could not have been any more beautiful.
A slight overcast yielded a lovely low 80's temp. A bit cooler than in Florida!!
Several times, while on the subway, we just got flat-out lost and turned around. Know what, each time, a helpful New Yorker would take the time to show the way. A very nice experience.
As this glorious day before Independence Day ended, we found ourselves at the Theater to see "Waitress". We're keeping that promise made to Ari-2 and loving every bit of it!!
The show was amazing and had a very good ending.
We're up early this morning, about to "back-track" our steps from Mid-Town Manhattan to the Long Island Railroad to McArthur Airport (Islip) and back to sunny, and rather warm Florida.
This has been an incredible trip and now we're heading home. And, again, I say it with all of my heart, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
And, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

NEW YORK CITY BOUND...& "LOCKED OUT"...
We arrived at Orlando International bound for New York City and the fulfilling of a promise.
Again, we're so proud of Ari-2 for a job well done. I'm especially thankful for my Cindy's love.
Frontier Airlines provided the "ride" to Islip (McArthur Field), NY. We had a smooth flight and arrived right on time.
From there, it was a short taxi ride to the platform of the Long Island Railroad (LIRR).
An hour later, we arrived at Penn Station in Midtown.
The weather was simply delicious and we trekked to our "AirBnb" apartment.
Cindy found a great deal on a lovely place right in the middle of Midtown, surrounded by parks and Museums and shops and great restaurants!
After a delicious Italian dinner in a classic NY Restaurant, full of "Atmosphere" and a db level of 110+ we collapsed in our Airbnb.
Oh, one thing did happen of interest. Cindy and the Ari's went out for one little shopping jaunt. I remained at our pad.
"LOCKED OUT...."
When they arrived, I went to open the outer door and the inner door quietly shut behind me....leaving us in the hallway...locked out.
We found the "Supervisors" number and called him. He was in the Bronx caring for his mother. Here we were in the hallway waiting for the "Super" to board a train back to Mid-town.
I was reminded of one of my all time favorite Scriptures found in Matthew 7:7...."Knock & the door will be opened". I prayed and spiritually "knocked".
I felt so stupid for letting that door lock behind me and felt just like the little boy knocking.
One of our neighbors arrived and I explained our plight. She shared how this had happened to her and with a "strategic placement" of a credit card that door just might open.
I eased it into place and slowly slid it down and....IT OPENED!
The Lord heard my prayer. The rest of the evening was uneventful. Up early and ready for the day in Midtown Manhattan!
Again, THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

KEEPING A PROMISE....
Several years ago, my Cindy began "mentoring" a young lady from a local High School. Her name is Ari, so we call her Ari-2 so as not to mix her up with our Ari.
Somewhere along this journey, Cindy promised Ari-2 that if she Graduates, we'd take her to a Broadway Show in New York City.
Well, on May 23rd, Ari-2 Graduated...with Flying Colors!
Yea Ari-2 & Cindy for a job well-done!!
With the help of some inexpensive tickets on Frontier, a great deal on an "Airbnb" (place to stay) and a couple of days off from the Hospital for Cindy...."we're going to New York City this morning".
This will be a whirlwind trip, as we're returning on Thursday, July 4th.
I'm so proud of my Cindy for her faithful love for Ari-2 and likewise proud of Ari-2 for sticking with it and letting her wonderful gifts flow. God is Good!!
So, it's time for Cindy, Ari-1, Ari-2 and me to head to the airport and embark on this New York Adventure!!
As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

We've got Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purifiers "ready to go" to the next disaster.
We don't know when the next hurricane will dance through the Caribbean, but we're ready!
BTW, we're very THANKFUL that the tropics have been quiet. Could it be..."the calm before the storm"??
Remember the old adage....."IT ONLY TAKES ONE!!"
Here's a 2019 Outlook. Again, we're THANKFUL that the season has been so quiet but....we're keeping an eye out and Air Mobile Rescuers READY!!
Meanwhile, Don George, of Don George Aircraft is getting his shop back together following the terrible fire and should have the rear engine for the Little Donkey done in the next few weeks.
PRAISE GOD! I've missed that sweet little bird.
Will be continuing my flight training and getting ready for the...CHECK RIDE. Looking forward to that.
Cindy, Ari, I and our friend Ari will be traveling to New York City tomorrow to fulfill a promise made. It'll be a fun trip and one well deserved. Will tell you more later.
So, on this beautiful Monday morning in sunny Florida, the mission goes on.
