CONTACT!!!

After a good nights sleep at Dave's daughter's (Julia) home in Baton Rouge, LA and making literally a dozen or so phone calls, we headed to Baton Rouge Regional Airport.

I "topped off" the Little Donkey with every bit as much fuel as we could squeeze in, not knowing what fuel would be available in Lake Charles.

We boarded the Little Donkey and made the 45 minute flight to Lake Charles.

Julia then hit the road for the 120 mile journey to Lake Charles. She would then be able to provide transportation to us in Lake Charles.

BTW, the traffic was horrendous for Julia and the then normally, 2 hour drive, became a grueling 5 hour trek.

We made it to Lake Charles with 10 Air Mobile Rescuers (and tarps and food).

What a wonderful feeling to arrive at "Ground Zero"....Lake Charles, LA!

We were met by Dave's niece, Norma, who had a Dodge Ram pick up.  She simply gave us the keys and said use it as long as necessary.

Dave and I then headed to a ministry that was feeding over a thousand people a day.

The Director, Blaine, immediately invited us to stay for dinner.  No problem, as fried catfish was on the menu.

We set up an Air Mobile Rescuer to demonstrate the incredible capabilities of this "Near Miracle Machine".

During the set-up, I stepped off the back of the RAM pick up and lost my footing and...went down.  Needed to clean the wound on my arm and doused it with pure Air Mobile Rescuer water.

BTW, the "source water" was from a a filthy source!

This was a great demonstration of the trust I have in the quality of the water produced by the Rescuer.

The line of folks formed for the Catfish Dinner.  We were moved by the love and cooperation of so many to bring this gift of a hot, delicious meal to those who have been "wiped out" by Hurricane Laura.

Accommodations in Lake Charles are extremely scarce as nearly every single building received some measure of damage.

It was good to have the Little Donkey available.  At the end of this long day, Dave, Julia and I boarded the Little Donkey and made the 40 minute flight back to Baton Rouge.

PRAISE GOD for GOOD CONNECTIONS and a Sweet Little Donkey.

Up early in Baton Rouge.  Heading back to the airport for the 40 minute flight back to Lake Charles (instead of the 5 hour drive!).

This morning, will be meeting the Head of the "CAJUN NAVY", Clyde.  These Guys & Gals are serious and I've wanted to meet Director for some time.

May the Adventure and the Rescue and sharing of God's AMAZING GRACE CONTINUE!!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

LOAD UP / WAIT FOR WX / FLY TO BATON ROUGE.....LAKE CHARLES NEXT!

Arrived at Space Coast Regional Airport yesterday morning and began the methodical / careful loading of the Little Donkey.

Was met by Channel 9, Channel 2 and Fox News who covered our "Mission".  So THANKFUL for their interest.

Here's NBC Channel 2 - AIR MOBILE TO LAKE CHARLES - NBC CHANNEL 2

Here's ABC Channel 9 - AIR MOBILE LAUNCHES MISSION TO LAKE CHARLES

My great friend and fellow pilot and Super Water Mule, Dave Walen dropped everything and joined me on the Mission.

Dave has traveled the world with Air Mobile and I can't begin to tell you how THANKFUL I am to have him with us on this "mission"!

We taxied out for take off after letting the bad weather pass.

Air Traffic Control did a good job of "steering" us around some wicked build-ups.

We landed in Baton Rouge yesterday evening and was met by Dave's daughter Julia.

Julia had a hot meal and comfortable bed for us.

Up early this morning and getting ready to head out.

We'll be taking on a full load of fuel and heading to Lake Charles this morning.

PLEASE PRAY for our safety and direction to get these life saving tools where they need to go.

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

HEADING TO LAKE CHARLES.....NEED YOUR HELP!

After careful evaluation of the facts that we received, we decided to GO to LAKE CHARLES!!

I bid Cindy and Ariana good bye & loaded up the Ford Escape yesterday and drove 12 hours. Arrived in Titusville around 1:30 AM (this morning).

Yahn Gray, our Chief "Water Mule" has prepared the Little Donkey and begun loading 10 Air Mobile Rescuers on-board.

We don't have a single unit FUNDED. I would like to ask you to HELP with your PRAYER & GENEROSITY to get all 10 funded!

Each unit costs $2999.00.  I know that is a lot of money, but each one can give up to 1000 people per day adequate CLEAN drinking water!  There are so many "hot spots" that have NO RUNNING WATER. We must do what we can to help.

In addition to the 10 water purifiers, we'll be bringing in tarps (much needed) and MRE (Meal - Ready - Eat).

Our first stop from here will be Baton Rouge (where I was born). We'll top off the Little Donkey with fuel and then fly into Lake Charles.  Not sure which airport we'll choose at this time.

Well, it's time to head to the airport!  As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart....THANK YOU for your invaluable and precious prayer, love and support!!

GATHERING INTEL....

Have been on the phone with organizations "on the "ground" in Lake Charles. We're gathering valuable information on the situation there.

Again, we don't want to go...just to go.  We want to hit the target with our Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers.

10 Hospitals in Louisiana have been evacuated due to the lack of CLEAN WATER.

Here's more - HOSPITALS LEFT WITHOUT CLEAN WATER

A lot of help is pouring in and for that we're THANKFUL.

We hope to make a decision today as to whether or not to deploy to Lake Charles.

Meanwhile, we're watching 2 more systems coming off the coast of Africa.

This season is only just beginning and there's a very good possibility of more NAMED STORMS coming our way.

Here's more - HERE'S WHAT WE'RE WATCHING IN THE TROPICS GOING INTO SEPTEMBER

I ask you to PRAY with us for HIS Direction!!  THANK YOU for rambling down this road with us.  We so appreciate your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

HURRICANE LAURA ROARS ASHORE....MAJOR DESTRUCTION IN PATH

HURRICANE LAURA arrived right on schedule slamming into Southwest Louisiana as a CAT 4 with winds in excess of 150 MPH!!!

This is the most intense winds at landfall in Louisiana in 164 years!!

Here's more - CONDITIONS DETERIORATE AS LAURA MAKES LANDFALL

Reports are coming in as I type.  We're monitoring the situation very closely, especially where folks may need CLEAN WATER.

The "Rescue" flight that Air Mobile was preparing for has been postponed due to unexpected complications.

PLEASE PRAY for the 2 year old who is very ill and needs urgent medical care.  Air Mobile stands by....

And, it looks like Hurricane Laura will actually cross the state of Tennessee...in a much weakened state.

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

LAURA ROARS!!! &....A RESCUE IN A RESCUE

Here comes Hurricane Laura who is rapidly growing into a Cat 4 Hurricane.

Cameron, LA is the "target" though that can certainly shift.  Houston & South, LA are on FULL ALERT!

This is a deadly Hurricane and will bring a lot of TIDAL SURGE...10-15'!

Air Mobile is on FULL ALERT & PREPARING for what might lie ahead.

Late yesterday evening, received an urgent call from a dear friend in Haiti.

His grandson is critically ill and needs urgent medical care.

We just may fly there, assess the damage done by Laura and bring that little one back to the U.S. to receive the urgent care he desperately needs.

PLEASE PRAY that we have our Lord's Guidance on this RESCUE MISSION!

At any rate, we're TRACKING LAURA very closely and will likely depart Tennessee for FLORIDA as soon as LAURA makes landfall .

These are perilous and dangerous times and again, PRAYER is urgently needed.

Today, will be preparing and battening down the hatches here at the Retreat Cabin.

As always, THANK YOU(!!) for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!
