GETTING READY....

Later this week, Cindy and I will be boarding a flight to Florence, Italy.  From there, we will begin a 100 km (62 miles) pilgrimage "Via Francigena" by foot.  

We will be walking the same path that early Christians walked.  We're so excited about getting away and spending precious time with our Lord Jesus along the way.

Cindy and I have been doing a lot of exercises and strengthening to get ready for this glorious trek.  I can hardly believe how good it feels to be able to walk again...and even run if necessary.

DEADLY WATER!

The world has enough water, just look around.  However, too much of that water is deeply contaminated, and yes, it is deadly and killing millions around the world.  What can we do about that?

Find creative ways to CLEAN UP that deadly water.  This is so simple and clear.  I further remember the Words of our Lord Jesus..."I was thirsty and  you gave Me to drink"!

As we faced disaster after disaster, as humanitarian relief workers, we sought ways to get CLEAN WATER where desperately needed.  We initially took our little airplane and flew in a few gallons at a time.  I guess that's better than nothing.  

But....one day I met a BRILLIANT inventor who was creating a way to take the most contaminated and deadly water and make it PURE!  His name was Rolf Engelhard.

I remember his words, "Joe, God showed me how to do it!  Invent a machine that cleans the dirty water just like God uses Ultra-Violet and Ozone and Carbon".  

When he told me that, I literally begged Rolf to invent that machine,  and he did! Today, we call it the Air Mobile Rescuer. 

Here's a shot in Haiti, with Rolf and me years ago,  with one of the very first "Rescuers".

Now, we have 1600+ machines in 53 countries and still counting! THANK YOU ROLF!  

And... we've only just begun to bring CLEAN WATER around the world in the Name of Jesus!

Cindy and I, like many reading this blog, are heart-broken by the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk.  We PRAY for his precious wife, Erica and their 2 children.  We believe that Turning Point USA, will grow beyond description and bring many to Jesus!  

We are more determined than ever to take the gifts that God has so freely given us and bring others to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus!

WHERE WERE YOU 24 YEARS AGO ON 9-11?  NOW, WE ADD ANOTHER TRAGIC EVENT - THE ASSASSINATION OF CHARLIE KIRK

Cindy and I were driving back from Middlesboro, Kentucky, yesterday afternoon, when an urgent message came to me from Sam in India.  "Charlie Kirk has been shot and in critical condition".  

Of course, now we know that shortly thereafter, it was announced that Charlie Kirk was dead.  Cindy and I burst into tears and were overwhelmed with so many emotions.

We PRAY that this tragic event will result in a major REVIVAL IN AMERICA, especially among young people!  

Charlie Kirk was and is loved by tens of millions, including me and Cindy.

We PRAY for his precious wife, Erica and their 2 young children.  For now, our heart is broken and we continue to PRAY!!

A  STRANGE VIRUS....

Yesterday, we requested prayer for our precious donkey, Onyx.  He is still with us and we are seeking knowledge from our Vet, Dr. Roland and UT (University of Tennessee).  

We are all perplexed and sad at the loss of our other 2 Donkeys.  We are THANKFUL for the help from Dr. Rowland and the Veterinary Pathology Dept. at UT.  We are diligently seeking answers as to what and how this strange virus is attacking our donkeys.  

PLEASE continue to PRAY for Onyx.  In the natural, the odds are against him, but WITH GOD...ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

We are staying close to Onyx and showering him with our love and care.

"STORM DANCERS"....COMING SOON

Yesterday evening, Cindy, the Co-Author &  Editor, completed the Manuscript for "Storm Dancers".  Now the publishing process has reached the next level.  There will be 72 hours of reviewing by Amazon before we reach the next level.  So far, so good. 

We have spent literally hundreds of hours going over so many miracles in the midst of tragedy and heartache and sadness and glorious victories.  

We believe that we've had numerous encounters with Angels along the way.  I further believe that when we get to heaven, we'll see just how many miracles we've had.  Oh, I can hardly wait!  

Tears have been shed and joy has burst forth as we've re-lived so many miraculous events in bringing the Love of God to the thirsty, from dangerous and deadly water.  

What a privilege to be a co-laborer with our Lord Jesus.  We believe that in the next 2 weeks, we'll have "Storm Dancers" in hand to send to you.

I can't begin to tell you what a HUGE BLESSING it is to have Cindy at my side through so many of these miracles.

Jesus tells us in John 16:33..."In the world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world"

I CAN RUN AGAIN!!

The last time I can remember being able to RUN was 25+ years ago.  Several motorcycle accidents in Haiti did irreparable damage to both knees.  

Eventually, I could no longer walk, reducing me to getting around on a little electric scooter.  

Then, after a lot of prayer and amazing surgery, both knees have been replaced and yes, I can now RUN again!!

I can now serve our Lord with greater strength and ability.  All I can say is...THANK YOU JESUS!!

Cindy and I work out every day, getting ready for our next mission(s).  Our goal is to walk 6-8+ miles a day.  

Oh Folks, can't begin to tell  you how good it feels to be getting into shape to serve our Lord Jesus!

As we travel the world, we see a major problem is the lack of clean water, causing death, disease

 and untold suffering.

GETTING READY....

I can hardly believe that less than a year ago, I could not walk and needed a little blue scooter to simply get around.

Now, Cindy and I are doing daily walks of 6+ miles. We're getting ready for a 100 KM (62 mile) Pilgrimage along the same path that early Christians walked. 

To GOD BE THE CLORY & THANK GOD for great surgeons and excellent medical care.

I'm also THANKFUL to you, who have walked down this "Road of Life" with me, for all these years!

We'll also be traveling to South Africa (after the "Via Francigena")  to celebrate a wonderful wedding with Garrett & Genique.  And...we'll be deploying 5 Air Mobile Rescuers where desperately needed.

A 100KM PILGRIMAGE & WONDERFUL CELEBRATIONS!!

In several weeks, Cindy and I will fly to Florence, Italy to begin a 100 KM (62 miles) trek by foot following the path taken by early Christians seeking a closer walk with Jesus. 

It is called the "Via Francigena".

Here's an overview - 

The last 100 km of the Via Francigena, a pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome, starts in Viterbo or Montefiascone and ends at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, covering approximately 110-115 kilometers and showcasing medieval towns, forests, and farmland. This final stretch is a spiritual, cultural, and historical journey, providing opportunities to collect the Testimonium, enjoy regional cuisine, and experience the camaraderie of fellow pilgrims.

We're also celebrating my new knees, that allows me to accomplish this wonderful retreat.  Not only do I have new knees, but recent tests have shown several miraculous results.  We say...THANK YOU JESUS!

In order to get into shape to do this pilgrimage, we will need to walk approximately 7-8 miles per day.  We have begun our training.

Our plans are, once we complete the pilgrimage, we'll board a flight in Rome to Johannesburg, South Africa.  We'll be celebrating the Wedding of Garrett and Genique.  

We've known Garrett since he was a little boy.  We're very proud of Garrett and rejoicing in this wonderful wedding.   

We also plan to deploy 5 Air Mobile Rescuers, in regions of South Africa, desperate for CLEAN WATER!  

Well, it's time begin the training and getting into shape for the 100 KM trek.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER...& SOME MORE THOUGHTS ON FREEDOM

Got tied up doing chores this morning around our little farm and then doing a few things in my office.  The result...a bit late on my rambling daily blog.

Yesterday, I wrote on FREEDOM.  I listed just a few things that our Lord has set me free from  & there are many.  I failed to mention another big one...FEAR.  Here are a few thoughts on that.

When FEAR hits me, and it does from time to time, I go to the WORD OF GOD, and chase that fear away.  But, the times that I don't, usually ends up in torment...until I get my Word Weapon out, and fight.  Those battles, I win.

I just wanted to share those thoughts on FEAR.  If you do battle with fear, and I suspect you do, fight it with the Word of God and you will find victory over fear.

We PRAY you have a blessed Labor Day.  And, as I say most every day, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!

ENJOYING FREEDOM...

May I encourage you to take a moment and savor the freedom that we have.  

Just the fact that I can write this "rambling" blog and that you can access it and read it, is a wonderful thing.

There are times that I forget this, and begin to complain about this, that, and the other.  

It does me good to just stop, and take in the freedom that our Lord Jesus has given us!

I am reminded of chains and burdens and sins that I have wrestled with and now, I am FREE!

Oh, there are still battles that I wage in my soul, but...JESUS has, and is setting me FREE!

So, on this note of freedom, I encourage you to open up your heart and let FREEDOM IN!  

I don't know what you might be going through, but remember..."HE WHOM THE SON SETS FREE, IS FREE INDEED!
