HAIL TODAY - THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT - RECORD SNOW BREAKING RECORDS - WINTER STORM WALDA CONFUSING THE FORECASTERS...NORTH KOREA LIKELY TO LAUNCH A MISSILE TODAY & A SPECIAL PRAYER REQUEST
The extremely cold air, bringing snow, ice and possible hail have been "cooling" down the tornado threats. The cold air is literally "over-running" the instability. So, major snow storms in the upper midwest and the threat of hail and thunderstorms along the south side of the line. Very strange weather indeed! Here's a link to the latest on what to expect today - WINTER STORM WALDA...PERPLEXING
Today, more threats loom along the Severe Weather Line, so keep an eye on the weather reports. We're praising God that the cold air calmed down the treats yesterday.
Meanwhile, North Korea is "fueling" a missile with a 2000 mile range today. The South Koreans are calling this a "Vital Threat". Here's a link to that story - SOUTH KOREA CALLS IT A "VITAL THREAT"
Wow, between unseasonable cold (going to get down to 4 degrees in South Dakota), to major hail, to thunderstorms and possible tornadoes to North Korea firing a missile in a very volatile atmosphere, things are certainly not going well today.
The thing that I have to remind myself of, is....Jesus is Lord! HE told us that, "there'd be days like this", but fear not, for I am with you. Thank you, Lord.
I have a special prayer request this morning. You may recall, last Friday, we had Dave and Pam Gillespie over for dinner, along with Stuart. These folks works for Congressman Bill Posey and are very dear friends.
Well, yesterday, got a call from Pam that Dave was in the E.R. at a local hospital and desperately needed prayer. I rushed to the hospital and joined in that circle of prayer. Dave has stabilized, but I urge you to join with us in prayer for Dave's full recovery. Thanks!!
Today, we'll be continuing on the Annual Inspection of our Little Donkey and gathering supplies for our "next mission". As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

SEVERE WEATHER COMING - BE ALERT! - FAREWELL, MARGARET THATCHER! - BACK TO THE "BOOKS" FOR AIR MOBILE JOE
The warm, moist air from the Gulf is feeding right into a line of Thunderstorms that could create a very wide area of extremely severe weather from Texas to Missouri and beyond. Again, we strongly urge you, if you're in the path, to be very ALERT!
This is a huge "Line" of Storms that covers millions of folks and the conditions are right for violent weather to occur including large hail. So...., again, stay ALERT, batten down the hatches and hang on! Here is a good Weather Channel description of what we can expect today and this evening - POSSIBLE TORNADO "OUTBREAK" TODAY AND THIS EVENING
I have mentioned this before, but I PRAISE GOD for our good weather forecasters. They truly do a good job of warning us of severe weather. They began "tracking" these conditions over the weekend and they are "spot-on" as far as predicting just how these storms are forming and where they're going.
You know, in many ways, we can go to Bible and see "Predictions" of things that are coming. Just look at all of the Prophesies about our Lord Jesus as He came to Earth 2000 years ago. Literally "hundreds" of prophesies came to pass with perfect accuracy.
He that has "Eyes to See". That is the reason I have referred to Matthew 24/25 and Mark 13 and Luke 21 and the Book of Revelation and Daniel so often in this blog. We are seeing things "come to pass" exactly as spoken of in Bible. As we study the Bible, we can see that the return of Jesus is drawing near.
Speaking of studying, I've resumed my study for preparation for the Certified Flight Instructor "Check-Ride". We had a lot of intense interest in the Air Mobile Rescuer and that took me away from my studies for this new Certification. Since, Ti Burik is down for its Annual Inspection, I thought it would be a good time to "Hit the Books" and get ready for that "Ride".
Well, it's that time to head out and continue on the Inspection of our Little Donkey. I'll be securing what parts I can for the Rescuer and this evening, after Bible Study (our Life Group from Church comes over), I'll be hitting the books and "burning the midnight oil" getting ready for the "Ride".
Remember to keep a close on the weather if you're in that "wide swath". As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A WEEK OF TORNADOES - KEEP A VIGILANT EYE & EAR OPEN - SERIOUS THREATS (MISSILE LAUNCH & CYBER-WARS) STILL COMING FROM NORTH KOREA
The conditions are forming making the possibility of Tornado Outbreaks very possible all this week. Keep a very close eye on the weather in your area. These tornadoes could form from South Texas all the way up to the Great Lakes and everywhere in between. To learn more about this possible threat, go to: POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK
Meanwhile, the threats coming from North Korea are continuing to intensify. It appears that there are very serious threats of both Medium Range Missile Launches to Cyber-War Threats. Read more by going to: MISSILE LAUNCH / CYBER-WARS
Looks like it could be a pretty "bumpy" week. All the more reason to simply PRAY and ask our Lord for His guidance and protection.
Back to those Tornado Threats, do you have a Weather Radio? We bought one several years ago and it sounds a very clear and loud alarm when severe weather threatens. I would suggest that you pick one up if you don't have one. You'll be glad you did. By the way, they're not very expensive. We bought ours from Radio Shack.
Today, we'll be continuing to work on Ti Burik to complete the Annual Inspection. All is going smoothly. Of course, any time one "opens" an aircraft up for inspection, surprises may be found. That's the reason for inspections. One wants to find anything that can cause a problem. It's not good to find them out at 21,000 feet. We're so thankful for good / experienced mechanics that know what to look for.
We're also securing as many extra components as we can for Air Mobile Rescuers. Our main limitation is simply funding. We're also continuing to purify our local city water after the E-Coli find. So glad we have a Rescuer!!
Well, it's time to go feed those chickens and get Peter to school and then head to the airport. Remember to keep an eye on the weather all throughout this week. The elements are definitely coming into place for violent weather with strong possibilities of tornadoes.
As always, THANK YOU for your precious and faithful love prayer and support. Be safe and vigilant. God bless!!

A "TESTY" NOSE WHEEL & ECOLI IN COCOA WATER
While Paul, our aircraft mechanic, and I were wrestling with the nose wheel on our Little Donkey, Cindy called to inform me that e-coli (very nasty stuff) had been reported in our local water supply.
Peter & Ariana were home, so....Peter breaks out the Air Mobile Rescuer to the "Rescue". They dodged an "E-Coli" bullet. Thank God for the Rescuer!! He made enough clean water to keep our family safe. Thanks, Peter!!
Meanwhile, Paul and I kept working on getting that nose wheel hub to come apart. The tube had bonded to the hub making it very, very difficult to disassemble. Finally, after much effort and soapy water and patience, it came apart.
This is a good example of how a relatively simple task can get complicated and messy. Fortunately, Paul's been "turning wrenches" on airplanes for over 50 years and he just handled this little challenge with skill and patience. Again, so thankful for Paul!
Well, it's Sunday morning and time to get ready for Church and our Chaplain ministry at the Hospital for young people. Love this ministry. It's also an absolutely beautiful morning. We praise God for days like this.
The situation in North Korea is still quite "Volatile", but everyone seems to be taking a "Breath" and calming down the Rhetoric. We pray that we all dodge this nuclear "bullet".
May you have a blessed day and as always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

A DELIGHTFUL VISIT WITH SOME DEAR FRIENDS
I first met Pam Guillespie when she worked for Congressman Dave Weldon. Dave was a great Congressman standing for life, truth and freedom. When Congressman Bill Posey won Dave's District (Dave retired), Pam went to work for Bill.
Of course our friendship only grew stronger. Then Bill brought on Stuart Burns as his Chief of Staff (Stuart had been Dave's Chief). So, having introduced the players, we had a beautiful evening and dinner last night.
Pam brought over the Subs and my Cindy made dessert (White Chocolate Macadamia Cupcakes) mmmmmm!
Our conversations ranged from the soon coming of Christ to the political situation in Washington and around the world, including what's happening with North Korea. Folks, the conditions are "volatile". All the more reason to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and pray for His will to be done in our lives daily!
There was much talk about the Air Mobile Rescuer and the great need for CLEAN WATER following any disaster. I'm so thankful to have been able to share this amazing, life-saving device with my dear friends.
Stuart asked me, to be sure, to get in touch with him on my next trip to Washington and to bring the Air Mobile Rescuer with me, as he has some folks that would be VERY interested in knowing more about such a device. Again, we're so thankful for this wonderful opportunity and pray for our Lord's Will to be done!
As you know, we've been conducting the Annual Inspection on Ti Burik and it's going quite well. Had some parts come in yesterday and will be bringing them to Paul, our great mechanic, this morning.
Our Little Donkey should be all "Airworthy" soon and we'll be likely heading back to Haiti with a plane-load of much needed supplies.
So, it's that time....for that 2nd cup of coffee, feeding the chickens and heading out the door to the airport. As always, we're so THANKFUL & APPRECIATIVE to you for your faithful love, prayer and support. May you be blessed today!!

KEEPING A DONKEY ON THE "PATH" - KEEP PRAYING FOR "SANITY TO PREVAIL" REGARDING NORTH KOREA
Yesterday, our mechanic Paul, made good progress on the Annual Inspection for Ti Burik, our Little Donkey. We haven't found any serious issues and it should be going back together soon. We've ordered a few parts and they should be coming in this week. Here, Ariana is looking on the progress.
It does appear that the "Rhetoric" may be cooling down just a bit regarding North Korea. As I suspected, there is usually much more to the story than the Media tells. We will likely never know the true story, but....we know Who does! That is the reason why it is always a good idea to PRAY.
As a matter of fact we should....A.S.A.P. (Always Say A Prayer). I had to get that into the blog today as it is such good and sound advice. Whenever we encounter any difficulty or face a dilemma, or a scary global situation, i.e. the North Korean matter, our first and most important line of defense should be PRAYER! I write this as a reminder for you and me! Pass this on A.S.A.P.
So, today, in addition to Praying, we'll be gathering supplies for more Air Mobile Rescuers and getting Ti Burik back on the "Path". We pray that you have a blessed day today and THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

NORTH KOREA APPROVES MERCILESS NUKE STRIKE AGAINST U.S.A. -
To say that the situation with North Korea is "volatile" would be an understatement. Truly, this situation could escalate to a very, very dangerous level rapidly. There is obviously much more to this story than is being told. Here is a link to a related story - N. KOREA APPROVES NUKE STRIKE
Do the North Koreans hold some type of new weapon that could indeed inflict terrible damage and destruction? Some have spoken of a nuclear device being detonated at altitude causing massive damage to electrical grids. This would certainly inflict massive damage to any society.
This threat has been around for a long time and has proven to be quite feasible. Apparently, the N. Koreans feel as if they hold some pretty serious "cards" to be speaking so blatantly regarding the use of a Nuclear Attack on the U.S. or any other such enemy.
These threats are being taken very seriously and there is massive troop movement and military hardware being placed into position as I type this blog.
Again, these actions bring us to a place of PRAYER & PREPARATION. Simply put, what would we do without electricity for an extended period of time? It is not a bad idea to "think" these scenarios through. Above all, we should PRAY for the leaders around the world to exercise sound judgement (sanity) during these very tense times.
I am reminded of the scripture found in Matthew 24:6-8, There will be "Wars & Rumors of wars....there will also be famines and earthquakes in various places". There are plenty of earthquakes taking place and of course, there is famine throughout the globe. Jesus said that these are the "birth pangs" or "labor pains". We know that when "labor" begins, birth is not far away.
No one knows the day or the hour of the return of Jesus, but be assured of this, we are indeed, one day closer than we were yesterday!
So, with all of these things going on, what do we do? As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Today, will be working on our Little Donkey, continuing that Annual Inspection and getting ready for our "next mission". Will likely go shopping and pick up some "extra" food (always looking for those good deals, you know, BOGO...buy one get one) and just praying throughout the day for our leaders.
Just another thought about Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13, Jesus lays out in clear detail the conditions around the world before His return. As we see these things coming to pass, there is comfort in knowing that our Lord has promised to never leave or forsake us and that He would be with us until the very end of the world. May I encourage you, this day, to place your full hope and confidence in Jesus. Fear not, for He is with us!
Well, after my little "Preachy" blog today, it's time to head out the door and check on a Little Donkey (after feeding the chickens and getting Peter to school). Pray that you have a blessed day and as always, THANK YOU for your standing with us with your prayer, love and support!!

ALL THE WAY "HOME" - THINGS "HEATING UP" IN NORTH KOREA
We bid farewell to the Tennessee Mountains and pushed that "Old Bounder" all the way home with just one 20 minute stop. The wheels just kept on rolling. So thankful for good highways and no delays along the way.
We were able to monitor the news while on the highway thanks to AT&T and a "wireless hot-spot" on my phone.
Things are not looking good with North Korea. This is a very serious matter and I urge you to PRAY that our Lord will have His way in the matter.
Since we got in at 2:15am this morning and have to get the kids to school, this will be a very short and brief blog. After dropping the kids, I'll be heading to the airport to see how the Annual Inspection on Ti Burik is going.

KEEPING AN EYE ON NORTH KOREA
Even here in the mountains of East Tennessee, The "News" is trickling in regarding North Korea and that volatile situation. There is a lot of "saber rattling" and talks of Nuclear War. Now, China is positioning troops along the border and the U.S. is sending Guided Missile Destroyers. South Korea is on High Alert. We need to pray that sanity prevails!
Here is a pretty comprehensive picture of what is actually going on at this time regarding the very tense and volatile situation with North Korea - "ONE SPARK AWAY FROM NUCLEAR WAR"
Well, it's time for the Hurston Family to pack up and push the "Old Bounder" down toward Florida. Time for the kids to get back to school and Cindy and I need to get back to our jobs. We sense, as never before, the need to build as many Air Mobile Rescuers as possible.
As we have found out, through years and years of doing relief work, the #1 need following any disaster is clean water. This old world is just shaking and rattling from natural & "man-made" disasters. The best thing we can do is PRAY & PREPARE!
We have truly enjoyed our brief time here in the "Mountains" and our time of reflection and giving THANKS to our Lord for His amazing love for us. The sun has risen, it's a brisk 26 degrees on the early April morning and it's time to go light a fire and have that cup of coffee with my Sweetheart before we "hit the road".
As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support.

EASY, BLESSED DAY - CELEBRATING THE RESURRECTION OF OUR LORD JESUS
Oh, yesterday, Easter Sunday was a sweet day. Awoke early to an overcast, rainy morning, but knew that our Lord was ALIVE. Cindy, Peter, Araina and I headed to the local Community Baptist Church. There, we enjoyed a beautiful celebration with multiple skits telling the story of Jesus and His awesome love for us!
From there, it was back to our cabin where Cindy made a simple, delicious feast. It was just sweet. Then, with some borrowing from our "Old Bounder", we managed to set up a TV / DVD and we just watched "The Hobbit" movie.
The DVD was a gift that Cindy had gotten Peter for Easter (along with some candy). With the DVD came another DVD of Special Features.
So, after the Movie (can't wait for the next "installment), we just stayed put and watched hour after hour of how the movie was made. Wow, talk about a major production. Must say, we enjoyed the Special Features just as much as the Movie itself, though we really enjoyed the movie.
That is how we spent our Easter Sunday. Oh, last night, we got in touch with Juliet, who had come down from Boston to conduct our Easter Service at the Hospital for the young people in Orlando. We rejoiced as she told us how good the Service went. Juliet is doing great with her studies and ministry training up in Boston. Thanks, Juliet for covering for us!
Well, today, it's still gray and overcast and rainy and chilly (29 degrees) here in the mountains of East Tennessee. We're looking forward to another "lazy" day before heading back down to Florida. It's just good to allow your spirit to "re-create" for a bit. That's just what we're doing.
Pray you have a blessed day and we truly appreciate your precious prayer, love and support. God bless!!

HE IS ALIVE!!
Awake before sunrise, it's overcast and rainy but... I KNOW that the Son is RISEN! PRAISE GOD, HE IS ALIVE!
We've "come apart" for a few days to simply seek and reflect on the goodness of our Lord. Some have said, "it's good to 'come apart' lest we 'come apart'. Hmmm, makes sense. So glad that we have this opportunity.
Yesterday was a wonderful day. I enjoyed watching Peter and Cindy take a cup of flour, a little olive oil and a couple eggs and make pasta.
Have you ever made home-made pasta? Wow, does it taste good. Within just a few minutes, after rolling and pressing and pressing again, feed it into the "Pasta Machine" and Voila, delicious pasta.
While Peter and Cindy were working on the pasta, Ariana, was busy arraning "Veggie" dinner with plastic food. I remember when we first had Ariana from Haiti, her very favorite of all toys was a little kitchen with lots and lots of play food. She'd play for hours just imagining so many food combinations.
After the pasta was pressed and came out, it was right into a boiling pot of water and out came the most delicious pasta. We had a lovely home-made dinner in the mountains of East Tennessee.
News is very sketchy up here, as our signal is very, very weak. It's kind of nice to not be bombarded with news from around the world. Sometimes, it's just good to get away and have some quality time to reflect and just read the Word of God.
Yesterday was such a day. Cindy and Peter put on their hiking boots and headed up the mountain to explore. Ariana was "busy" in her room concocting exotic meals and I simply sat on the porch and read the events that led up to the Crucifixion and then...the Resurrection.
Such a powerful story. Our Lord loves us so much, it's beyond our comprehension. I pray that you have some time today to simply reflect and let Him in more.
Today, we'll be attending a local Church. Our neighbors, Bill and Judy loaned us a truck to get to Church. Such kind folks. Well, it's that time. My Cindy is up and time for cup of coffee with my Sweetheart.
As always, THANK YOU for your faithful love, prayer and support and may you be Extremely Blessed on this Resurrection Day!

AHHHH - IN THE MOUNTAINS ON EASTER WEEKEND
Our wheels on the "Old Bounder" never stopped rolling from Florida to just before the North Carolina Border where we bought Diesel Fuel for a full $.50 per gallon cheaper than anywhere on the entire route. Love it!
We rolled onto the Air Mobile Retreat as the sun was setting. Made excellent time and just so thankful to be here for a few days.
Cindy, Peter, Ariana & I are looking forward to spending some quality time reflecting on the Lord and his Amazing Sacrifice for us.
This is also an excellent "Training Exercise" for getting to a secure location where we can literally be "nearly" self-sufficient (we're working on that).
So, for the next few days, depending upon the "microscopic" signal that we've "ferreted" out here in our little cabin, I'll be sending out a little report daily.
We have the fire going and Cindy and I have already had our first cup of coffee. May you have a blessed Easter. What an amazing Lord we serve!! As always, THANK YOU for your precious love, prayer and support!!

TAKING A FEW DAYS OFF...
Yesterday evening, we had dinner with Christian and Cherie and all their Kids. So much fun doing our Classic Annual Easter Egg Hunt with all those Grand-kids!
We're getting ready for a nice, long weekend and spending a few days in the mountains of Tennessee. We may even be able to catch a bit of snow, before this very, very long Winter comes to an end. Spent yesterday putting final touches on the Old Bounder getting it into shape for the trip.
I'm personally glad to take these few days off and spend some quality time simply reflecting on our Lord and His great love for us. I am still overwhelmed by His Amazing Grace.
Of course, I'll be writing this little blog everyday. My Cindy says that it's my "therapy". I believe she's right. Can't begin to tell you what a joy it is to get up and be able to share what's on my heart each day.
Often, I have absolutely no idea what I'll write. Just sit there with that delicious cup of coffee and just start writing. Wonder what would happen without the coffee?? Hmmm....let's not go there.
Yes, I'd probably still write the blog without or without the coffee, but the mood would likely be different. Just so glad to have an avenue with which to share my thoughts and prayers with you.
Oh, one last word on that Cup of Coffee, I think it's kind of cool, that in some circles it's called a "Cup of Joe". Just sayin....
Well, have some final errands to run today and final packing before we hit road in the "wee hours of the morning". Again, hope and pray that you have a Blessed Easter. May you find a bit of time to simply reflect on our Lord Jesus and all He has done for us. As always, THANK YOU for your precious love, prayer and support!!

AN EARLY MORNING E-MAIL FROM ETHIOPIA - SOME THOUGHTS ON COMMUNICATIONS...
First thing thing this morning, received an e-mail from Ethiopia. A Rescuer bottom cap was leaking. The unit was still in operation, but, thank God, we have replacement bottom caps. So, we're waiting for the next Missionary going to Ethiopia to bring in the replacement piece. So THANKFUL for e-mail and clear and quick communications. It's easy to take this wonderful blessing for granted.
I remember, not too long ago (well, it's been a few years), when my main communication in Haiti was by "Ham" Radio. Even had to learn Morse Code. Then, we went to 2-Meter radios and could even find a "dial tone". Then....cell phones hit the world. What a difference it makes, being able to communicate quickly and clearly.
Even following catastrophic disasters, Cell phone service is often restored quite quickly. Communications is such a vital part to any operation, particularly when disaster strikes. This brings me to the thought of strengthening our own communications for our Preparedness.
We've begun the Annual Inspection on Ti Burik and will be doing that for the next few weeks. The little aircraft has been performing wonderfully and we're digging deep to be sure it keeps doing just that.
As we approach Easter Sunday, it is a good time to reflect on all that our Lord and Savior did to bring us Salvation. Often, I like to sit and simply reflect on the last few days in the life of Jesus before going to the Cross. Just meditating on His great love for us and the events that led to the Crucifixion and Resurrection brings me great peace, strength and joy.
Time to head out into this Day that our Lord has made. Pray you are blessed today and THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

ANOTHER RESCUER - WHAT'S UP WITH APRIL 2ND? - ANNUAL INSPECTION ON "TI-BURIK" HAS BEGUN
Several years ago, while at the Samaritan's Purse Camp in TiTanyen, Haiti, I met Jim and Vicki. They were U.S. Volunteers. As we spoke, we discovered that we lived about 10 miles from each other in Florida. Thus began a warm and wonderful friendship.
After our initial visit, they were invited to our Haiti Base Camp (The "Village") and they were brought to us by Joel, a young Haitian Interpreter. Joel has an orphanage that was formed as a result of a terrible flood several years ago.
Now, a "long story short", Air Mobile donated a water purifier to Joel and yesterday, Jim and Vicky picked up their very own Air Mobile Rescuer. They are very excited about having the ability to bring CLEAN water to all of their neighbors in the event of disaster here in Florida. I love it!!
About a month ago, a close friend mentioned the date April 2nd and stated that, some think that a major earthquake is going to occur on or around that date. Hmmmm, how could they predict such an event with such precision? Well, knowing my friend and his credibility, I began to research that date.
Also, I would like to mention that my friend was very clear, that he did not necessarily think that this would occur, he simply passed it on for me to look into. Cindy and I did, and there does appear to be some "Astronomical" evidence that an event could occur due to the alignment of certain planets and the earth passing through some sort of planetary "wake".
Now, it would be easy to simply "roll one's eyes" and say, "I don't believe that", but....it is worth, at least, investigating. In our opinion, "The Verdict is still out" and something may or may not happen, however.....we are still gathering supplies and continuing to "Prepare" for disaster that could occur on any day at any time.
So, you may want to do a bit of a Google Search and see if you come up with anything that could be of interest.
If you find anything that you'd like to share, either give me a call at: 321-544-7757 or e-mail me at: airmobilejoe@gmail.com and we'll compare your info with what we're finding. Our sincere hope and prayer is that April 2nd comes and goes without incident...Amen!
We began our Annual Inspection on Ti Burik yesterday. So glad to have Paul as our Chief Mechanic. He knows this aircraft so well. We're hoping and praying that the inspection proceeds with "no surprises". The Little Donkey is flying great. We're eager to get back down to Haiti and bring in more water purifiers and supplies.
As we share, it is better TO BE PREPARED than to NOT BE PREPARED. May we urge you, today, to lay up something for the future. It may be just picking up a couple of extra pounds of rice / beans / soup. We simply encourage you to do a little something everyday and believe me, you'll be glad you did. Also, as Jim and Vicky did yesterday, pick up something for OTHERS. This is very dear to the heart of our Lord. Remember that wonderful scripture in Matthew 25, "I was hungry / I was thirsty and you gave me to eat and drink".
Now, it's that time to go feed the chickens and head to the airport. May you be extremely blessed today and as always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support.

TICO WARBIRD AIRSHOW ENDS WITH A FAST MOVING STORM - "TI-BURIK" IN THE BARN....JUST IN TIME - REMEMBERING PALM SUNDAY
We could see, from the Weather Satellite, that intense storms were on the way to the Great TICO Warbird Airshow. We watched and PRAYED. So thankful that we were able to meet so many more folks on this last, very windy day of the Airshow.
Then, the beloved Thunderbirds began their final "Swan Song" Show until Washington gets it's head screwed on right. This was the last Thunderbird Show....for a while.
And, the Thunderbird Flight Crew did a superb job under low visibility and very high winds. Thank you for a great show!!
Meanwhile, we were monitoring the weather and the storm was now barreling down on us at 55 MPH and Tornadoes were reported along with hail. I was joined by Joe Aronson, a very faithful "Water Mule in Training". He and his family have a way of "showing up" at times when Air Mobile is in great need. Such was the case on this very windy, stormy Sunday afternoon.
I requested help from the Valiant Air Command (the Host of the TICO Warbird Airshow) to help us to get our precious Little Donkey off of the flight-line. They quickly mobilized and within minutes, I was "fast taxiing" toward our 'Little Barn'.
As we arrived, we could see the dark, ominous storm racing toward us. Joe and I quickly pushed Ti Burik into the barn and 'BARELY' got the door shut when it hit. We do believe that a tornado did touch down right on the field. We were so relieved to have "saved" Ti Burik from damage. The Little Donkey will be ready for the next mission!
Today, we begin the Annual Inspection on "Ti Burik". This is a mandatory inspection and we are not expecting any surprises. So, for the next few weeks, we'll be "opening up" the Little Donkey and checking it all out.
I must tell you, while we were at the final day of the Airshow, my precious Cindy, Peter and Ariana were conducting a Palm Sunday Service at the Hospital for young people in Orlando. Every year, we make about 100 little Palm Crosses to give to the "members" of our little Church in the Hospital. This year was no exception. Cindy and crew had a beautiful service remembering when our Lord rode into Jerusalem on a "little donkey".
I found it interesting, while scanning the news this morning to find this shot from Nicaragua where, they too, were celebrating Palm Sunday with a Palm Cross (just a bit bigger than the ones we give out at the hospital). At any rate, may we remember the "Path that our Lord Jesus chose" to bring us Salvation!
Well, it's that time. Need to go feed the chickens and begin that Annual Inspection with Paul, our great mechanic. May you be extremely blessed today and as always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

DAY 3 OF THE TICO WARBIRD AIRSHOW - SAYING "SO LONG" TO A GREAT WATER MULE...FOR NOW
So, here we are, the last day of the Great TICO Warbird Airshow and possibly the last U.S. Air Force Thunderbird flights...for a while. We'll see how all of this plays out in Washington. Seems to be a lot political "intrique".
Yesterday was amazing. We had a steady stream of folks coming. The weather sure threatened to the north of us, but did not effect the airshow, except with some pretty "blustery" winds. Thank the Lord that the rain did not come.
Now, today, there is still a pretty good threat with the potential of "Baseball" size hail. Now, that would do serious damage to aircraft. We pray that the bad WX stays away!
Every year, Doug, a Premier Water Mule comes down from Wisconsin (yes, Doug is a classic Snow-Bird) and lends incredible help to Air Mobile. Doug does so many things and does them well.
Well, he was scheduled to head over to Alabama / Louisiana to build some Habitat For Humanity Homes, but delayed his departure to help Air Mobile with this AirShow.
Now, after several months and at least a dozen serious Projects, Doug will be hitting the road tomorrow. He'll help me with the last day of the TICO Warbird Airshow. Sure gonna miss Doug!
What a joy having Bill Duncklee (Airborne Ministries) as my "neighbor" at the airshow. I have known and worked with Bill for over 25 years. He has brought that beautiful Velocity up to "Speed" with so many improvements making it a great tool in the Hands of the Lord. Of course, Bill is very precious to Air Mobile for many reasons, among them, he donated "Ti Burik", our Little Donkey to the ministry. Thanks again, Bill!!
Meanwhile, Cindy, Peter and Ariana will be doing a wonderful Palm Sunday Service with the young people at the Hospital in Orlando. So, it's time for us to get out the door and tell folks about Jesus today. As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

DAY 2 OF THE TICO WARBIRD AIRSHOW
There is something wonderful about the Camaraderie among Aviators and those that love Aviation. We are so thankful to be set up at "Center-Field" of the TICO Warbird Airshow. If you come out, simply look for the TICO-BELLE C-47 and you will find the "Little Donkey".
We had hundreds of folks come by our set up. We had to occasionally hold things down as the Huey (Viet Name era) Helicopter would lift off giving rides. What a wonderful day.
We, of course, had the Air Mobile Rescuer set up pumping water out of a bucket of "dirty" water and folks just had to see what that Clean water tasted like. I love it!
The weather held up for day, but as we were shutting down for the evening, light, spattering rain began. The Forecast calls for "Scattered" thunderstorms today. We hope (and pray) that they don't visit us today.
All of the "Air Events" went off beautifully yesterday and there were no (reported) incidents. Always thankful when the airshow goes off without incidents (or worse). The Thunderbirds were SPECTACULAR. This is their last show until Washington can sort out the mess of the Sequestration (no comment).
Now, it's time to go feed those chickens in the dark again, slam down that second cup of coffee and head back to the airport for Day 2 of the Tico Warbird Airshow. God bless and as always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

TODAY IS "WORLD WATER DAY" - TICO WARBIRD AIRSHOW STARTS TODAY - A BIT ABOUT ARIANA
We are thankful that, today, many will reflect on the need for CLEAN WATER. We, at Air Mobile, are reminded of the pure and simple words of our Lord Jesus when He said, "I was thirsty and you gave me to drink" (Matthew 25:35). Of all of our needs, CLEAN WATER is right at the top of the list and.... the sad thing is that so many are without it. We CAN do something about that....even though it may seem like a "drop in the bucket".
This morning, we sent out a letter to our e-mail list emphasizing this critical point and our precious Ariana helped us to make the point. Here is the link to our report - Air Mobile Report - World Water Day
You may recall, that Ariana came into our lives because she was very ill and needed a life-saving operation. It was around 4 years ago, that Cindy and I agreed to take care of this little one from Haiti. I recall, so vividly, the evening that Barbara (affectionately known as Rambo in the Blue Dress) landed from Haiti with her. She was so weak and frail. After much prayer and great doctors and generous folks, Ariana is fully recovered!
We are so pleased that our Lord has placed this precious one into lives. She is such a joy and she has such a tender heart toward those that are in need.
Today is the beginning of the TICO Warbird Airshow. We will be set up right a Center Field. Air Mobile will joined by Airborne Ministries headed by my good friend, Bill Duncklee. We're looking forward to this great opportunity to tell others about what Air Mobile does. We'll be demonstrating the Air Mobile Rescuer. Hope to see you there!
As the folks in the Midwest and Northeast are dealing with a lot of snow and rain, we, in the Southeast have the threat of Severe Thunderstorms. Please pray for those in the path of these storms.
We need to head out a bit early this morning. Feeding the chickens in the dark. As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support! Be blessed today!!

NASA'S ADVICE ON, IF INCOMING METEOR....PRAY! - HMMMM...NOT BAD ADVICE!
Here is a quote from Mr. Bolden, NASA Director yesterday, "Mr Bolden told US lawmakers that prayer was all that the US or anyone could currently do about unknown asteroids and meteors that may be on a collision course with Earth." Here is the "Rest of the Story" - NASA'S ADVICE...PRAY!
The thing about PRAYER, is it works! Our Lord is an ever-present help in time of need. Prayer is a GOOD THING TO DO in the event of some incoming disaster.
As many of you know (who ramble along this blog path with me), I am constantly urging us all to pray. Believe me, when I write that, I am truly writing to remind myself to PRAY.
That is why I like the acronym A.S.A.P. (Always Say A Prayer). Prayer is our first-line of defense in any emergency. So glad that Mr. Bolden made the statement that he did.
The fact is, there are many things that we have NO control over and some things that we do. May our Lord grant us the wisdom to know the difference (borrowed from an old "Serenity" saying).
Today, we'll be putting the final touches on our Air Mobile Display that we will be setting up for the 2013 TICO Warbird Airshow. It would be great to see you, if you live in the area, or just want to come to a great Airshow featuring some incredible aircraft and great "Aviating". The Airshow begins tomorrow and goes through Sunday.
The Weather Forecasters are telling us that we may be getting some Rain and Thunderstorms over the weekend. Sure hope the weather holds off for the "Show".
I feel for the folks in the Midwest and Northeast. Old Man Winter is sure hanging on and busted right into Spring. Another Arctic Blast is dumping more snow and misery and cold on those folks. The bottom end of that Winter Storm is what is contributing to our rain and thunderstorms down here in the South.
Oh well, at least these storms have plenty of moisture making up for all that dry, hot weather we've had last year. Somehow, these things seem to balance out....to some degree.
Here we are, time to go feed the chickens and drop Peter at School and then to the airport. Hope to see you this weekend at the Airshow. As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

AMAZING (MIRACULOUS) EMERGENCY LANDING - THANKS TO UKKO, IT'S REALLY COLD AND LOTS OF SNOW - SNOW "DROUGHT" DEFINITELY OVER & MORE GOOD NEWS ON....COFFEE, ESPECIALLY GREEK COFFEE
WHEN WILL WINTER END??
Since Groundhog Day, the snow has really fallen all across the U.S. and it's not over yet. Winter Storm Ukko is still barreling eastward with lots & lots of snow left. When is this winter going to end??
Of course, there is always a good side to most any situation if....you look for it. All of this snow and rain is really reversing the "drought" situation that has plagued the U.S. for several years.
I came across this article on the amazing health benefits of Greek Coffee (have to find some of that) and how it adds to longevity. It seems that the residents of this Greek Island live dramatically longer and the reason is in part, due to that wonderful coffee grown there. Oh well, had to share it with you. Here's the link - "Anti Aging" Greek Coffee
I flew with a friend, Darrell, yesterday. Sometimes, it's just good to take the "Little Donkey" up for a check-out flight. Darrell knows the Avionics in our aircraft very well and showed me some things about it that absolutely blew my mind.
Now, I knew that this aircraft's avionics package was good, but I simply did not know how good! It was like opening a treasure box. Thanks Darrell, for sharing your good knowledge with me.
Well, it's time to head out into this day that our Lord has made. As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support.

WHEW - THE CME (CORONAL MASS EJECTION) HAS PASSED THE EARTH - DID WE JUST "DODGE A BULLET"??
Early Warning is a GOOD THING! It's nice to know when something is coming, even if it's just a few hours notice. At least we can do something to get ready. It's easy to say, "Well, at least we'd have time for a prayer". Actually, PRAYER is the most powerful thing that we can do because, often....things are simply out of our control. By the way, I am glad to know the One Who is in control!
I find it quite interesting that the "Main Stream Media" has said little or nothing about this recent Coronal Mass Ejection. Charged Particles zinging over us at 3,240,000 MPH is not your "everyday" event. At any rate, THANK GOD, that no serious damage occurred. Here is a link to a story stating that a mild "Solar Storm" did occur - FAST MOVING CME CAUSES SOLAR STORM
As many of you know, I am a pilot. Pilot's like good weather briefings so that we can know where to fly, at what altitude and weather to even cancel the flight. Quality information is paramount to a good flight. Now, I also know that some may say, "I'd rather not know". Well, remember, there are things that we can do, particularly IF we survive a natural disaster. We can do things that, should a natural (or man-made) disaster occur, we'd be very glad we did. We can do things, like simply having some extra water / food / medicine /etc.
