THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES....DECEMBER 2015

12-7-15 Monday 6:47AM (U.S. Eastern Time) - Cocoa, FL - Air Mobile Home Base - Report submitted by: Air Mobile Joe

74 YEARS AGO TODAY

December 7, 1941 is a day that will live in "Infamy".  These words were spoken by President Roosevelt after our nation was attacked at Pearl Harbor.

We are fighting a different kind of WAR today, but WAR has been declared upon our nation by RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS!!

As I listened to the "Address to the Nation" from the Oval Office last night, I got the sense that we need to PRAY for the leaders of our nation to properly recognize the enemy and how to fight the enemy!!  It's always a good thing to PRAY for our leaders to have God's Wisdom!!

Yesterday afternoon, I was met at the airport by 2 very faithful "Water Mules", Jason and his son, Garrett.  Jason first worked in Air Mobile as a volunteer 30 years ago.

Now, his son, Garrett has joined us on missions to Haiti and Nepal and scores of domestic outreaches.  They were helping to sort and organize baby food and formula for Haiti.

We've also been tracking the weather between Florida and Haiti and it's been pretty ugly.  We're praying that it clears up soon.

So, as we go forward this day, we're certainly PRAYING for our nation and the leaders to have God's Wisdom.

As always, THANK YOU for your greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

GREAT PARTY!

Oh, we had a blast yesterday.  Hundreds of friends and neighbors came to the "Incredible International Bazaar". Wonderful gifts were bought and...hungry children will get food.  Thank God!!

The French Cafe' was a hit and Cindy's eclairs and other pastries were just delicious!  The coffee flowed freely!

Our son, Peter, tapped into his High School Jazz Band and they kept to mood "swinging" with Jazz from the 40's.  It was a lot of fun!

So, today, we're heading to church and then to the Hospital, where we'll bring the Good News of Jesus to those that are hurting.  What a joy!!

We trust you have a blessed day!  As always, THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!!

HUNGER IS "NOT" A GAME

For weeks, we've been working on a wonderful event that will happen TODAY at our home!  Reminds me of a song....This is the day that our Lord has made...!

Ever since we made our "Mission to India" in June, we've been burdened by our Lord to DO SOMETHING about the massive hunger that is taking place every single day in India.

Now, we know that hunger occurs world-wide, but, when our Lord urges us to do something about a "specific" location, it's best to obey the Lord. That is what we're doing today.

Cindy and I are all about "WIN-WIN" situations and that is what we're working on creating today.  The pieces are really coming together!  Christmas is right around the corner and giving gifts is a wonderful thing.

So, we thought, why not create a pleasant and inviting environment where folks can come and shop for some very, very cool things and at the same time, help us to fight hunger and bring clean water in Southern India and beyond!

We're working on fixing our (Extreme) home up like an "INCREDIBLE INTERNATIONAL BAZAAR".  So  many friends have come along beside us and helped us to reach this day.

Oh, it's going to be wonderful.  Not only are we having remarkable bargains and exotic gifts, but my Cindy has been baking and baking and the "French Cafe" that will be right in our kitchen will do wonderful things to your taste buds.

Of course there will be coffee and lots of it.  Just saw this very latest article on the "Miracle of Coffee".

Some are saying, and many studies are verifying, that coffee may be the "healthiest drink" on the planet.  Cindy and I have suspected that for a long time!!  Here's that report - COFFEE: THE WONDER DRINK!!

So, on that bit of more good news on coffee, it's time to get on with the beautiful day that our Lord has made and yes, we'll rejoice and be glad in it!!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!  Hope to see you today, if you're in the area!!  Here are the details on our "Incredible International Bazaar"!!   "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

JUST CURIOUS...WHAT ABOUT THE 3RD SUSPECT??

Following the terrible massacre in San Bernardino, 2 suspects have been killed.  But....there is a 3rd suspect.

I have been scouring the news sources to find out anything about this "mysterious 3rd suspect".  It seems he "escaped" being killed when the other 2 were "neutralized".

Apparently, the Authorities are not saying anything about this suspect and again, I'm just curious.  There is much talk about "Motive".  Was this a TERRORIST ATTACK, or just.....workplace violence??  Mmmmmm, I wonder.

Hopefully, the Authorities will gain much needed information from this "mysterious 3rd person" and a "Possible Motive" can be established.  At any rate, it does appear (to me) as if another "gauntlet has been thrown down" by the Terrorist, and I wonder what our government is going to do?

While I'm on this subject, it also appears (to me) as if the American People get punished for what the Terrorist do.  Who are the "bad guys" here??  Is it my imagination??

So, as we navigate through these turbulent waters, it pays to have good "Situational Awareness".  If you see something out of the usual, or suspect that something is not right, report it.  Above all, pray and ask our Lord for wisdom.

Time to get on with this day.  Tomorrow is our big "Incredible International Bazaar".  We're very busy today.  Hope to see you.  Here are the details - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

TERROR IN SAN BERNARDINO!!

An office Christmas Party turns into a horror as heavily armed gunman execute 14 and injure 17 (10 in critical condition).

2 of the murderers have been killed.  Let us PRAY for those victims, families and survivors of this brutal and evil attack!!

As you know, Air Mobile, works all over the world (47+ countries) bringing in relief following disasters.  I can tell you, from personal experience, the most DANGEROUS PLACES are GUN-FREE ZONES!  That tells the "Bad Guys" that there will be NO RESISTANCE to their attack!

The truth is, "Bad Guys" will ALWAYS be able to get guns.

Some of our "Politicians" are blaming America for these attacks and not the TERRORISTS!!  I don't get it!!!

OK, now that I've said all of that, my heart goes to the Word of God and I'm reminded of Psalm 91...."He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty"!

"I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him will I trust".  If you haven't read Psalm 91 lately, here it is -  PSALM 91 NKJV

Our true protection, in this turbulent world, comes from the Lord.

And, as you probably know by now, I try to read at least one Proverb every day.  Today, Proverbs 3 touched my heart with..."Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding.  In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path" (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Again, as I read the daily "Headlines", it is quite easy to get upset and become anxious.  I must balance these "Headlines" with the WORD OF GOD!  Then, the "Peace of God, which passes all understanding will keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus!"

I certainly needed those Scriptures today.  I hope they've been a blessing to you!

Cindy and I are up early this morning.  She's making Brazilian Brigadieros (a favorite Brazilian treat).  She'll also be making delicious French Pastries.

The food and deserts at our "Incredible International Bazaar" are going to be just delicious!  We hope you can make it!  Here are the details -  "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

As always, THANK YOU for your vital and precious prayer, love and support.  Please remember to PRAY for the victims, families and survivors of the terrible San Bernardino Terrorist attack!!

A TREASURE CHEST OF WISDOM

Proverbs is "chocked full" of WISDOM!  In reading Proverbs 2 today, my heart just cries out for more of God's WISDOM!  Having God's wisdom, indeed helps us to navigate through this life.  The more I read about God's WISDOM, the more I want it!!

Folks, I so need HIS direction in my life...each and every day.  Daily, we all face so many decisions about where to go, what to do, etc., etc.  Why not tap into the God's Wisdom?  He will surely lead us and guide us into His path as we seek His WISDOM!

In Proverbs 2, there are 22 verses and I'd like to give you a link to it, so that you might dip into the "Treasure Chest" yourself.  It only takes about 5 minutes to read, but well worth it.  Here it is:  PROVERBS 2 NKJV

Believe me, I'm "Preaching" to myself here but.... I suspect that you could use some more of God's Wisdom in your life also.  That's why I'm sharing this little message with you today.  Wherever you are, just take a few moments and ask God to guide you and give you His Wisdom.  He surely will!

Even as I'm writing this little "Preachy" blog today, I just received a call from a dear friend who requested prayer for several things.  You guessed it... we asked our Lord to give His Wisdom!

So, today, Cindy and I are both very busy and putting together the details for our "Incredible International Bazaar" coming up in just 4 days.  We have a lot of things to do and we're really asking our Lord to guide and lead each step of the way.

Time to get on with this day.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

PROVERBS 31 WOMAN

Since we only have 30 days in November, I read Proverbs 31 today, along with Proverbs 1.  As you may know, I "try" (sometimes I miss it) to read at least one Proverb everyday.

I correspond the day of the month to the Proverb.  This helps me to navigate through this somewhat complicated and turbulent world.

Yesterday, Cindy and I spent the day getting ready for our Incredible International Bazaar.  We began by seeing Doug, an "Amazing Water Mule".  Doug can build almost anything out of wood.  He is so gifted and we're so thankful to have Doug to help us with so many projects.

Well, Cindy has "sketched out" ideas for the 10+ countries that will be represented at our upcoming event, "Hunger is NOT a Game" and Doug is turning those ideas into reality.

Then, Cindy and I drove north to the little town of Edgewater, FL to Global Crafts and picked up some of the wonderful things that we'll be selling at the Bazaar.

Global Crafts is a company with a big heart.  They specialize in crafts made by very poor people in very poor countries.  And the crafts are beautiful.  This is a true win-win-win operation.

We're getting so excited about our upcoming event Saturday.  The fact that we can open up our home and serve delicious food and sell things that are incredible and help very poor people to share their skills with us and then provide food and clean water to starving children in India and beyond.  WOW!  What a great idea!

And...it all began in the heart of my Cindy!  I read in Proverbs 31:20-21 and realized that is exactly what my Cindy is doing!

Please bear with me for going on and on about Cindy, but sometimes, I just get overwhelmed by how good God is to have brought Cindy into my life.

So, it's time to get on with this day that our Lord has made.  We sure hope you can make it over this Saturday.  Here are the details - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

We are so THANKFUL for you and your precious prayer, love and support!!

GOOD NEWS TEAM

I must share with you a part of our ministry that is PURE JOY!  We have the wonderful privilege to minister the Good News of Jesus every Sunday in a Psychiatric Hospital in Orlando.

This is a "lock down" facility (similar to a jail) and the clients there often have serious emotional and addiction problems.

For the past 18 years, Air Mobile has conducted full Sunday services there and it's one of the sweetest outreaches that we have.

Again, we're humbled and blessed to be able to do this ministry.  We're extremely THANKFUL for the OPEN DOOR that has been set before us!

Because of "Confidentiality Rules", we cannot photograph or reveal anything about clients' identity.  But, I can give you some basic information so that you can  pray for these, who are behind "locked doors".

I'd like to begin with our Base Team.  Cindy and I have all but raised our children by bringing them to these services every Sunday (that we're in the U.S. at home).  Our kids have learned so much about ministry and compassion through this outreach.

We also have a TEAM that works with us.  For over 5 years, the Menendez Family (Alfred, Lisa, Alfred Jr. and April) faithfully back us up (when we're traveling) and often join together with us when we're in town.

For you see, our outreach there has grown to 3 Separate Church Services (Adolescents, Adults, Acute Care), requiring multiple ministers.  We're so THANKFUL for their faithful service with us!!

Over the years, we've had many volunteers come and join us. For many, it was their first "Minister Experience" and they've grown in faith and experience through this outreach.

Other ministries, like "Prison Book Project" (founded by my good friend, Ray Hall) have joined together with us and provided us with literally THOUSANDS of Bible for these clients over these last 18 years.

Only our Lord knows how many have been deeply touched by the generosity and love of "Prison Book Project"!  THANK YOU, Ray Hall!!!

As you may know, Air Mobile works all over the world bringing in clean water, food and vital supplies and the GOOD NEWS of Jesus to the needy and desperate.  But, this ministry at "home" is just a JOY!  Over these 18 years, we could share with you so many stories of God's Amazing Grace and how lives have been transformed by the power of God, but...we can't give any details.

Today, Cindy and I will be driving to Edgewater, FL to pick up an awesome load of "treasures from all over the world" for our "Incredible International Bazaar".  We're so pleased with the way things are coming together for this grand event!

We're hoping to see you (if you live in this area).  It'll even be worth taking a little drive.  We'll have great gifts, delicious food and wonderful fellowship.  All for a super cause, SAVING LIVES!  Hope you can make it!!  Here are the details:  "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

So, as I always say and mean from the very depths of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!

A WONDERFUL GAME & A FITTING TRIBUTE TO A GREAT COACH

As you may know, my son Peter and I really love LSU football.  Yes, I'm a "Cajun" through and through and having been born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA., LSU football is in my blood.

Going into last nights game, things looked very bad for a great coach, Les Miles.  Looked like after a 3 game losing streak, the LSU Athletic Department was going to "fire" him.

Even Les said, in an earlier interview that, after the LSU - Texas A&M game, it would likely be his last game as the Head Coach of LSU.

However.... LSU  played an incredible game against a very good Texas A&M team and prevailed with a 19-7 Victory.

The stadium burst into overwhelming applause and about 100,000 could be heard yelling, "We love Les".  The team carried Les on their shoulders as a tribute and a show of their great love for this great coach!

Still, no one knew the fate of Les Miles.  We all held our breath.  Then, less than an hour after the game, came an announcement from the Athletic Director...Les Miles would remain the Head Coach of LSU!  That was a good choice.  Les is a great coach and a great role-model and a true leader to these young men.

Peter and I yelled for joy and even cried a little bit, when the news of the decision was announced to keep Les as coach.  I know it's "just a game", but so many great lessons are learned on that playing field.

Oh well, I just had to share this story with you.  Today, there have been no notable "Terrorist" attacks and the world leaders are meeting to save the planet from....global warming.  Hope they get it right!

Cindy and I are getting ready for church and then to Orlando for our Hospital ministry where we'll conduct 3 separate services.  We love sharing the Good News of Jesus with those who are in this "locked down" facility.  It is a JOY!

Time to get ready and head out the door.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!
