TRAINING "WATER MULES"!
Had the privilege yesterday to TRAIN a group of Bahamian Volunteers to bring CLEAN WATER to the THIRSTY!!
Thanks to Pastor Larry and Church we had approximately 25 Volunteers to take the Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purifiers into the hardest hit areas of the Bahamas!
Meanwhile, "Premier Water Mule" Joe Prussel was with a team that brought 2 Air Mobile Rescuers to a tiny Island in the Abacos.
All of our Operations are taking place with safety and success THANKS to your PRAYERS & GOD'S AMAZING GRACE!!
We'll be "Re-Positioning" the R.A.M. Cessna Caravan today.
Again, this is a short blog due to limited internet. As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious an truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

ALL CLEARED!!!!
NOTE: I have VERY LIMITED internet. This blog will be brief.
We departed our alternate Staging location in the Bahamas. It's hard to grasp that these spectacular Islands could be so devastated. These below me are still gorgeous.
Upon landing at our primary staging area, we were met by the Pastor of a leading ministry here in the Bahamas. I have known and worked with this ministry for over 40 years!!
Along the way to our staging location we saw evidence everywhere of Dorian.
For now, we'll not identify this ministry until we have secured the locations and system for delivering the Air Mobile Rescuers.
It's an amazing privilege to have Barbara Walker with us.
We affectionately call her..."Rambo in the Blue Dress". She's one tough missionary!!!
Through favor and grace, ALL of our supplies, including the 20 Air Mobile Rescuers were IMMEDIATLEY CLEARED! PRAISE GOD!!
Accommodations are extremely sparse in this location and we're thankful to have had a bed to lay our heads.
I'll write more later. GOD BLESS YOU & THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

AIR MOBILE...IN THE BAHAMAS
We departed Port-au-Prince yesterday for the Bahamas. Before leaving Haiti, was able to service 3 Air Mobile Rescuers for Barbara Walker's Village.
And...had the honor to bring Barb out of Haiti. She a valuable Team Member for water deployments.
We've worked together in many countries over the years following terrible disasters.
Have already been in touch with my good friend and great "Water Mule" Joe Prussel. Joe is on-board a boat at this time heading to a certain Island. Will be meeting up with him soon.
Also, been speaking with my good friend, Ben Seal of Southern Helicopters.
We may able to team up with his pilot and have access to the Bell Jet Ranger for specific deployments. THANK YOU JESUS!
The tragedy that is occurring here in the Bahamas is just heart-breaking!!

SKIRTING ALONG THE EDGE OF DORIAN....LANDING IN HAITI...NEXT STOP: THE BAHAMAS
After 9 hours of intense flying and ending the day on the ramp in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, John & I collapsed.
Barbara Walker (AKA: Rambo in the Blue Dress) met us at the airport and gave a comfortable bed in which to sleep.
The WONDERFUL THING is that the Haitian people arranged for a plane load of critical supplies for the Bahamas!
So, we were able to unload the medical supplies for Haiti and in-turn load up food (MRE's) and incredible EMERGENCY MEDICAL supplies for the injured in the Bahamas! PRAISE GOD!
A very special THANKS to STACY BOURNE OF H.E.R.O. RESCUE for coordinating these precious gifts and getting them to the airport to meet us. THANK YOU STACY!!!
Now, when we landed in Opa Locka, FL for fuel and to get the balance of the water purifiers, we were WARNED of the extreme danger of flying into certain islands in the Bahamas.
Here's more - DORIAN TRIGGERS PANIC, PILLAGING IN BAHAMAS
From here on, I'll not give specific locations that we will be flying to for SECURITY REASONS!
Know this, we have life-saving water purifiers on board and we will, with God's HELP & GRACE & WISDOM get them where they are most needed.
This morning, we're heading to the Bahamas to bring CLEAN WATER, FOOD, MEDICINE to desperate people.
WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS!!!

LAUNCH DAY!!
As Dorian strengthens and moves along the U.S. East Coast, we'll be flying southbound headed for Haiti and then the Bahamas.
While awaiting supply delivery and preparing the Caravan for this long mission, was able to speak to numerous Bahamian Officials regarding our mission.
The unanimous response was...THANK YOU & PLEASE GET THOSE CLEAN WATER MACHINES HERE ASAP!!
PRAISE GOD, on our route to Haiti and then to the Bahamas, we'll be stopping in Opa Locka, FL to pick up 15 more Rescuers. We'll have a total of 20 on-board.
THANK YOU, Garrett Scarborough for driving those units down to south Florida.
BTW, Garrett has been on Air Mobile Relief missions since he was 13 years old. Garrett is now a Certified EMT and an excellent "Water Mule".
With your prayer and support, we have 7 of the 20 Air Mobile Rescuers funded. PLEASE PRAY that the remaining funds (($32,500) come in for the balance of the units!!

We'll first bring supplies to Haiti that had been scheduled months ago and then...on to the Bahamas.
Many of the airports are still closed, but we'll be staging our operation in either Exuma or Nassau.
Our goal is to get CLEAN WATER onto the Islands that have been devastated.
PLEASE PRAY for us to have wisdom as we navigate around DORIAN as well as to get onto the ISLANDS that most need the help.
It's time for me to meet our R.A.M. TEAM and load that CESSNA CARAVAN!

HURRICANE DORIAN CRAWLS & MAULS!
Hurricane Dorian has almost completely stalled over Grand Bahama Island. Flooding and ferocious winds are pounding the island.
Here's more - HURRICANE DORIAN STILL ALMOST STATIONARY - PROJECTED TO BEGIN MARCH UP SOUTHEAST COAST TODAY
Tens of thousands are left homeless and extremely vulnerable all throughout the Northern Bahamas.
Dorian is expected to begin it's slow northerly turn and crawl later today.
This morning, I'll be heading to the R.A.M. HQ & hangar to begin loading the RAM Cessna Caravan.
Our plan is to let Dorian pass and give us a safe shot into Haiti with vital medical supplies.
We'll then re-fuel and pick up more supplies and fly back into the Abacos.
Runways are still closed and storms still block the way. We'll be getting there as soon as we can.
We plan to bring Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purifiers with us, as the need for CLEAN WATER is paramount!
PLEASE HELP US WITH FUNDING for these units and for the cost to launch this mission.
You may use the "DONATE" BUTTON in the upper left hand side of this blog.
It's time to pack up and head to Knoxville to get that RAM Caravan and begin this vital mission.

WHILE WE'RE WAITING....
It's such a blessing to have my son, Christian and his family up here.
So glad that we have them up here, safe and sound. Had a lovely day at Elrod Falls.
As you can see from this routing map, it will be a while before we can launch our missions to the Islands and fly in on the back side Dorian.
Our hearts are breaking for those on the Islands who have endured the MONSTER STORM NAMED DORIAN.
ABACO'S DEVASTATED!
WE PRAY FOR ALL IN THE PATH OF THIS DEADLY STORM!!
The kids love the dogs, Andy, Honey and Benjie.
They're just enjoying the Retreat Cabin and again, I'm so glad to have them here!!
I spoke with Cindy this morning, who will be working at the Hospital on 24 hour shifts. PRAYING for my Cindy.
Tomorrow, will be heading to Knoxville to prepare and load the RAM (Remote Area Medical) Cessna Grand Caravan for relief missions, Search & Rescue (SAR) and whatever else our Lord wants us to do.
But for now, we have to wait for Hurricane Dorian to move out of the way. WE PRAY that Dorian goes out to sea and dies.
We're continuing to PRAY for the men lost at sea. We're believing God for a MIRACLE!!
As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support.
Thanks to my good friend, Tony Baratta, have been able to make Pod Casts explaining what we're doing. THANKS TONY!

We PRAY for those who are there. I so well remember Andrew....
Here's more - POTENTIAL DISASTER TO COME; 185+MPH ABOUT TO CRUSH NORTHERN BAHAMAS
The big question is...."When will Hurricane Dorian turn?"
Millions of residents in Florida / Georgia / the Carolinas are asking that question.
All Dorian has to do is "wobble" just a little bit and the story can dramatically change.
We certainly PRAY for Cindy who will be working 24 hour shifts in the Hospital.
Again, long before Dorian formed, Cindy signed up for this assignment. She's a brave and faithful Lady of God!!
WE PRAY for ALL IN THE PATH OF DORIAN!!!
Meanwhile, we'll be getting the RAM Cessna Caravan ready for ACTION!
Long before Dorian was formed, RAM & Air Mobile had planned a Caravan flight to Haiti. For that, I'm very THANKFUL!!
We'll have the opportunity, either going to or coming from Haiti, to check in with Island that are most devastated and bring them CLEAN WATER!!!
Yesterday evening, I received a report from Natasha Walker.
They just returned from Bermuda having brought island-wide attention to the plight of Justin and Brian.
Their efforts will put many new eyes on the possibility of finding the men. PRAISE GOD!!!
So, today we watch, wait & PRAY for all who are or will be in the path of Hurricane Dorian.
And THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!!

HURRICANE DORIAN STRENGTHENING!!!
Several months ago, Cindy volunteered to work in the Hospital through the next Hurricane.
Cindy will be at the Hospital around the clock (24 hours) for several days before and after Dorian hits.
Now, here comes Hurricane Dorian.
Here's more on this "Monster" Storm!!
HURRICANE DORIAN EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN INTO A CATAGORY 4! PROLONGED THREAT TO FLORIDA INCREASING!!
Cindy and I discussed the situation last night and...this morning, I'll be bringing Ariana & "company" (Andy, Honey, Benjie, Pippin & Maple) up to the Retreat Cabin in Tennessee.
We'll also be joined by my son, Christian and his family at the Cabin.
Folks, I've seen too much. The potential for death and destruction is just too great! Anytime we can get out of the PATH of a DEADLY STORM, we should do so.
While in TN, will also be lining up the Remote Area Medical (RAM) Cessna Grand Caravan for possible RELIEF FLIGHTS AFTER DORIAN STRIKES!
The Caravan is an incredible aircraft and capable of carrying a big load, flying long distances and landing on short runways. THANK GOD for this amazing tool!!!
We've also placed a number of Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purifiers into safe locations for EMERGENCY DEPLOYMENTS!
PLEASE REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR JUSTIN & BRIAN as this deadly storm comes barreling through the region where they have been lost.
Natasha Walker, along with Justin's mother, Sheila have been in Bermuda mobilizing the fishing community to be on the look-out for the boat and Justin and Brian.
Please remember to PRAY for the Walker and McCluney families as they walk through these very difficult and painful times.
WE'RE STILL BELIEVING GOD FOR A MIRACLE!!!
We're packing up and hitting I-95 North-bound to re-position at the Air Mobile Retreat Cabin.
Folks, let me say this...IF YOU ERR ON ANY SIDE, ERR ON THE EVACUATE SIDE!
If you can get out of the way and out of the path of a deadly storm, DO SO!!
As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support.

Here's more - HURRICANE THREAT (CATAGORY 3+) FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA
Part of the Search & Rescue team has re-positioned away from Dorian and into an area north up the Gulfstream. They will be searching this morning.
We're taking advantage of this time to perform an Annual Inspection on the Piper Geronimo. That also puts it (hopefully) safely into a hangar.
Today, we're getting as many Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers available as possible.
PLEASE PRAY THAT funding will come in for this vital mission!!
Each unit can provide fresh clean water from extremely contaminated water sources to... 1000 people per day.
The cost to fund each unit is $2500.00. Please consider helping us by using the "DONATE" button in the upper left hand side of this rambling blog.

IN ADVANCE OF DORIAN....
As we track the path of the very resilient Tropical Storm named Dorian, we realize that our "Search" in the path has to wait.
The WX is NOT conducive to a visual search at this time.
We're so THANKFUL that we were able SEARCH over 600 miles of this area yesterday.
We were joined by Natasha's life-long friend, Nikki and Justin's Uncle George. They did a superb job of spotting.
We've yet to find anything but...we're keeping the faith and continuing the SEARCH & RESCUE!!!
The Piper Geronimo performed beautifully and it will be available as the weather clears.
I'm also very thankful for George, my co-pilot. George is an excellent pilot and spotter.
Yes, surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops...and pilots!
Today, will be in my office planning our next move and areas of SEARCH & RESCUE!!
As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!!

SEARCHING & DODGING STORMS...HERE COMES DORIAN
As we continue our SEARCH & RESCUE (SAR) for Justin and Brian, we're dodging storms. There is certainly an instability in the area which is prone to storms.
However, our search patterns have not been hindered by these storms and today, we continue to SEARCH!
We're all keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Dorian.
This storm has overcome a lot of odds and is still alive and posing a threat to many islands.
Dorian will certainly hinder our ability to SEARCH, so today, we're back at it.
Here's more on Dorian - THE LATEST ON TROPICAL STORM DORIAN
Of course, I'm ever reminded of one of my favorite Proverbs 3:5-6...
TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING & HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATH!!!
As we fly the patterns, we're all PRAYING for our Lord to direct our path.
I must tell you that Natasha Walker has been absolutely AMAZING.
Surely, our Lord is giving her strength and courage and extremely sharp eyesight.
She has been on SEARCH mission after mission and is determined to find these men.
PLEASE continue to PRAY FOR THE FAMILIES OF JUSTIN WALKER & BRIAN McCLUNEY!!
Yesterday, before we took off, we were joined by Justin's Dad and Uncle. We joined in a circle and PRAYED before take-off.
Up early and heading out the door to go SEARCH & RESCUE these men.

THE SEARCH & RESCUE (SAR) GOES ON
I am blessed at the faith and courage and strength of Natasha Walker as our small team continues to ply over the vast waters.
We full well know that the odds are against us, but our hearts tell us not to QUIT!
Yesterday, we flew over a tremendous area and we had excellent visibility.
Natasha's brother, Brez joined us on this flight. Between Natasha and Brez, we have AMAZING spotters!
Their intensity and love and very sharp eyes, are great assets to this search
We're limited in just how far we can go by the growing storm system designated 98L.
At the end of the long day, we went to our Local Durango's.
When the Manager knew who we were and what we were doing, he PAID for our entire table. God bless you for your generosity.
BTW, Cindy joined us after having conducted 3 Chaplain services at the Orlando Hospital.
So, today, we're continuing the Search & Rescue Mission covering the areas that we can reach with safety.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY for us as we go forth in this Search & Rescue!!!

SEEK.....
Most of the Search has been on the premise that Justin and Brian were in the Gulf Stream and swept north.
Just maybe....the storm that occurred the evening they were lost blew them slightly to the east and...they never got into the Gulf Stream.
The US Coast Guard (USGS) and thousands of volunteers have done an AMAZING job of scouring the ocean north of their original position.
In other words, we are searching areas that have NOT been searched.
Thus, our SEARCH CONTINUES!!
A large cluster of storms had formed near the area of our search.
However, we were able to scan a large area and we'll continue to do so today.
We are encouraged and hopeful to find Justin and Brian, though we know that the odds of doing so are very slim in the natural.
We are calling upon our Lord to lead us each step of the way!!
We're so THANKFUL for the Piper Geronimo aircraft. It is serving us extremely well.
At the end of this long day of SEARCHING, we landed back at our home base.
I snapped this shot of our trusty little airplane.
Today, the SEARCH CONTINUES!!
As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for joining me on this journey.
Your prayer, love and support is INVALUABLE!!

FROM THE SKY HAWK TO THE GERONIMO....LONGER LEGS
As our Search intensifies, we needed to go further out to sea.
Thus, we turned in our trusty Cessna Sky Hawk for something that could fly longer and....have a second engine.
I must say that our good friend, PierCarlo, the owner of Spaceport Aviation in Titusville came through for us.
When I called him with the need for a "Twin", he literally had a crew work well into the night on a remarkable plane, a Piper Geronimo.
This is the great plane for our SAR (Search & Rescue) mission.
It is extremely efficient on fuel and yet has the power to lift a load. It can also fly for 6+ hours with fuel reserves.
THANK YOU PierCarlo for not only the plane but the great rate!!
PierCarlo also lined up a "Check Pilot", George to join me on the initial flights so that I could log the hours to be insured. Again, THANK YOU PierCarlo!
George, who is GREAT Pilot, and I flew the Geronimo to Jacksonville and met up with the Walker Family to go SEARCH for Justin and Brian.
THE SEARCH GOES ON!
We launched yesterday afternoon and flew over 200 miles off-shore and continued the SEARCH. We were joined by Dylan and Brez, Natosha's brother.
Though the odds are against us in finding these men, our faith and our hearts tell us to not give up the SEARCH!
So, today, bright and early, we'll be back in the air .....
SEEKING THOSE WHO ARE LOST!

THE SEARCH GOES ON....RACE AGAINST TIME!!
Today, I'll be flying again, SEARCHING for the 2 Firefighters who have been missing since last Friday. We have HOPE that they are still alive!!
These 2 men, Justin Walker and Brian McCluney, are trained and capable of surviving.
We believe that if we find their boat, that has likely been capsized, we'll find the men.
I'll be honored to have Justin Walker's wife, Natasha and his brother, Jerrad Walker with me on this SAR Mission this morning.
I know that these 2 will be absolutely FOCUSED on every wave we pass over looking for Justin and Brian.
We are standing on Matthew 7:7-8....
SEEK & YOU SHALL FIND!!!
On Tuesday, I flew Natasha on our Search & Rescue (SAR) Mission and was amazed at her courage, love and faith.
It was her first time ever flying in a small plane. She shared last night, that she wants to begin taking flying lessons...
I urge you to PRAY for the Walker and McCluney families as they go through this difficult time.
We are all BELIEVING that Justin and Brian will be found alive, though the odds are certainly against this.
We serve a MIGHTY GOD!! WITH GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

SEARCHING.....
It was an exhausting day. Hour after hour flying a tight "Search Grid" and PRAYING to FIND 2 lost fishermen in a big ocean.
Natasha Walker, the wife of Justin Walker, one of the two fire-fighters who have been lost at sea since Friday, demonstrated Amazing strength and courage and faith and love.
Natasha has never flown in a small plane, yet when I spoke with her on Monday evening and invited her to come along on our SAR (Search & Rescue) mission, she said..."Of course I'll go with you".
I count it such a privilege to be able to participate in this noble mission. I never cease to marvel at how our Lord works in our lives. He sent Bill Weiller to me for this mission. Bill is extremely skilled in SAR.
Here's more on this SAR Mission - SEARCHING FOR THE 2 FIREMEN LOST AT SEA I'm on "standby" today to possibly fly again.

A GOOD REPORT & SEARCHING (SAR)
Went to the Doctor yesterday and the report was GOOD! According to the CT & Bone Scan tests, there has been NO other Cancer found in my body.
It is only in one location & by FAITH, PRAYER & possible surgery...we can take care of that!
THANK YOU for your PRAYER!!
Right after the Doctors Appointment, I received a phone call from my good friends at Servant Air Ministries International (S.A.M.I.).
I was asked to help pilot a search plane looking for those missing firemen. All was moving ahead until we found a mechanical problem causing us to move to Plan B.
We secured our search plane from our good friends at Spaceport Aviation.
Just after sunrise this morning, we'll be taking off in SEARCH of the MISSING FIREMEN!
I'm further pleased to say that I'll have the wife of Justin Walker, one of the firemen, on board with us.
Our Scripture, one of my favorites is...MATTHEW 7:7
"....SEEK & YOU SHALL FIND"!!!
PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYER THAT WE FIND JUSTIN WALKER & BRIAN McCLUNEY!!!
I'll also have Lt. Colonel Bill Weiller on-board with me. I've known Bill for years. He's the Incident Commander for the Civil Air Patrol and highly skilled in Search & Rescue (SAR).
Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops!!!
So, it's time to fill the old coffee thermos, pack some juice and fruit and head to the airport.
Again, I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your INVALUABLE PRAYER, LOVE AND SUPPORT!!!!!

This morning, Cindy and I will be going to see my Doctor to go over the results of recent CT / Bone Scan tests. They will yield a lot of information.
I must admit, it's been rather difficult waiting (5 days from the tests to the results), but....His Grace is Sufficient!
Also, I can say..."It is Well with my Soul".
In the meantime, been eating a lot of fruit & vegetables and actually feeling much better. Our bodies like it when we put good things into it.
Also, planning a mission flight later this month. So THANKFUL to be able to fly.

CELEBRATE LIFE
Began the day early, by going to our son, Christian's home to see Joseph Rhythm on his 13th Birthday. What a fine young man.
Then it was back to the Vet to give our latest member of our home, Little Benjie Bear, his check-up with shots. What a cutie!!
It was back home and got Cindy and Ari and it was off to Cindy's Dad, Ron's home to celebrate his 82nd Birthday.
It was Ron who introduced me to Cindy. THANK YOU, Ron!!
Love you Ron!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Well, we're getting ready for Church and then on to the hospital where we have the Privilege to share the Good News of Jesus with those who are suffering. What a JOY!!
As always, THANK YOU for meandering down this road of LIFE with me. So appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!!!

BIRTHDAYS & A LITTLE DOG
In just a while, I'll be going to a Birthday Party for my 13 year old grandson, Joseph Rhythm Hurston and then to another party for Cindy's Dad, Ron Perron who turns 82 today.
A nice day to celebrate life.
Cindy recently gave me this precious little one to me. Every man...should have a little dog.
A lot going on today. Time to head out to go "PARTY"!

KEEP ON KEEPING ON...
We're moving ahead and believing our Lord for the very best.
BTW, I'm truly enjoying the diet change. Yes, I'm from Louisiana and though the food from there is quite tasty....it's not particularly healthy.
But, my Momma usually had a little garden and loved to grow greens. My father, who was born in Tampa taught us that fruit was like a desert.
I've been on this fruit and vegetable diet now for nearly a week and am already beginning to feel better.
Of course, once the results from the tests are in, we'll know better the course to take. But, regardless of the results, I'm going to stick with this diet. It just makes sense.
Oh, I'm relieved that coffee has not been identified so far. It's staying under the radar, so to speak. I'm sure all of these studies showing the anti-oxidant benefits of coffee will keep it on the "good" list.
So, on this lovely, warm day in Florida, the march goes on. We're planning another mission flight in the RAM (Remote Area Medical) Cessna Grand Caravan.
The destination has not been finalized. Will keep you up to date as the schedule firms up. It'll be good to be back in the cockpit!!
Time to get to work. As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

A WALK ON THE BEACH
Cape Canaveral Hospital sits right in the Banana River, just minutes from famous "Cocoa Beach".
Cindy and I showed up right on time for a day of "Testing" (CT Scan / Bone Scan).
The purpose is to seek out and identify any cancer that might have spread to other areas of my body.
A pretty serious "mission". We need to know what we're dealing with.
In between the tests, we had a couple of hours break.
So...we took a quick ride to Cocoa Beach and just took a nice little stroll.
After the tests were complete, I called my Doctors office and told them to be on the look-out for the results.
Now, this is the hard part....WAITING. The truth is, we don't KNOW what they will find. We certainly PRAY it is nothing, but....the hours tick by slowly.
My Doctor is out of town and will not be in until Monday. So...between now and Monday we WAIT and PRAY.
One thing is for sure, our Lord KNOWS! And I place my life and future and all that I am in His Hands!
For now, I'm THANKFUL to have good medical facilities with excellent equipment and for Medicare Insurance.
I'm especially THANKFUL for a sweet wife who loves me and for all of my Brothers and Sisters who have joined me on this walk through life. Again, I PRAY...THY WILL BE DONE!!
Today, there is a pile of stuff to do. Calls to make, missions to plan, water purifiers to place and so much more.
I know that I say this every single day, but I want you to know how much I appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!!!

HOME...
The road from the Mountains of East TN to Florida was clear. Made good time (11 hours) over the 720 miles
I NEVER take the SAFE journey for granted. THANK YOU, LORD & THANK YOU for your prayers!
Cindy and I will be going to the Hospital today for a series of medical tests to determine if the cancer has spread into any other areas of my body. We PRAY that it has not.
I'm very grateful to have you on this journey with me. I sincerely believe that we will see our Lord do GREAT & WONDERFUL things with this latest challenge.
Time for that last sip of coffee before those tests.
As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

"ON THE ROAD...AGAIN"
Up early, hear the coffee pot in the final gurgle and ready to fill the thermos. About to head south to Florida.
This has been a wonderful "Retreat". I'm so THANKFUL that my Cindy encourages me to come up to the "Cabin" from time to time and get in "closer" touch with Jesus.
Tomorrow, I'll be in the Hospital for a full day of tests.
I can say, "It is well with my soul". There are so many instances where our Lord heals the sick in the Bible. I have made my request and I'm standing on His Word and His Promises.
While here at the cabin, I've made a decision to make a significant change to my diet. Yes, it would have been good to have done this years ago....but I'm pretty hard-headed and sometimes it takes a "wake-up call" to make necessary changes in my life.
The truth is, I really do like fruit and vegetables. Grew up on them. But...I also like Andouille Sausage, and crawfish and grilled steak and....the list goes on and on.
So...let's see what good things will happen when I replace some of those things that are really not good for us, with healthful, organic things. I suspect...it won't hurt and will likely help.
BTW, I love "Juicing" and it actually tastes great!!
It is so often PRAYER along with some GOOD DECISIONS to stop doing destructive things that yields positive results.
So, again, here we are on a journey to healing but the main thing is...I'm in His Hands!!
Speaking of "Journey", it's time to do the final load, close up the sweet little "Retreat Cabin" and Hit the Road for this 12 hour journey home.
Time to start driving. As always, THANK YOU for your INVALUABLE PRAYER, LOVE & SUPPORT!!!

PACKING UP....
Well, this is my last day at the "Retreat Cabin". Will be on the road to Florida in the morning.
Once back in Florida, I'll be having a battery of tests done to determine the "status" of the cancer that has been identified in me.
Been loving the Jack Lalane Juicer and intend to put more good food into my body (I've been bad).
Yes, I'm definitely changing my diet...more fruits & vegetables.
Of course, I'm praying for our Lord's healing.
Also praying for my doctors to have great wisdom and guidance.
Time to sweep the cabin and tuck things away. As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!!

A "BIZARRE" ESCAPE
As you know, I drive a Ford Escape. Yesterday, it did something quite "Bizarre". I came to a stop and put it into Park.
Then....it began to roll backwards!! I put on the emergency brake and attempted to get it out of Park. It was jammed.
I was stuck at the base of a mountain with no wheels...and a lot of things to do. I PRAYED for wisdom!
BTW, this could have been quite a serious situation if...after putting the car into Park and would have attempted to get out of the car as it was rolling backwards, I certainly could have been injured, or even rolled over.
So, I called AAA (been a member since 1998) and requested a Tow to my local mechanic.
When he arrived, he put his hand down into a bundle of wires and hoses and got the car to start and then made it able to "Drive"....with the shift lever still in Park.
The transmission linkage cable had come undone.
My regular mechanic was unable to work the Escape into the schedule. Again, I PRAYED and asked our Lord to lead me. The Tow Driver suggested we go to the Local Ford Dealer.
My mind quickly thought....can they work it in on a Saturday, will it cost a fortune, do I need to rent a car? Again, I PRAYED.
I followed the Tow Driver to the Ford Dealer. Amazingly, they took the Escape right in and 30 minutes later gave me the keys and said..."NO CHARGE"! I was ASTOUNDED!!
Apparently, it was a "RECALL" item and I was on the road again. THANK GOD for a knowledgeable TOW Driver and an OPEN Ford Dealership.
I'm ever reminded of the old adage....A.S.A.P. - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER!!
What could have been a "DISASTROUS & FRUSTRATING" day, turned out to be a wonderful testimony of answered prayer. PRAISE GOD!!!
So, on this glorious Sunday morning, getting ready for Church.
THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable Prayer, love and support!!!

A DASH TO THE E.R.
Last night, my phone rang. It was Savannah. She had been burned while opening a charcoal grill. She had no insurance and was hesitating to go to the E.R. I told her to GO!
Our Lord had arranged for me to meet Savannah and her friend, Shawn, the evening before. NO ACCIDENT!
While driving to meet her at the E.R., I got pulled over by a Tennessee Trooper.
I showed him my Chaplain Badge and explained the reason I was doing 78 mph in a 55 mph zone.
He gave me GRACE and minutes later I arrived at the E.R. (I should not have been driving that fast).
Savannah and her friend Shawn were planning a nice grilled steak dinner when it happened. It was a freak accident. When she opened the grill and introduced more O2, it just burst into flames.
Savannah has 1st & 2nd degree burns on her hand and arm, but will be alright. THANK GOD for Emergency Rooms! We have so much for which to be THANKFUL.
BTW, the cost of all of this was quite reasonable and we were able to help. I'm also THANKFUL for the good roads and a medical system that will help those in need and...for Troopers who have some GRACE!
PLEASE remember to PRAY for Savannah. One never knows what the evening will hold.
Up early to go check on Savannah and buy her the meds she needs. All of the pharmacies were closed late last night.
What will the day hold? Only our Lord Jesus knows. I'm just staying close to HIM!
THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support.

THIS HAS BEEN A LONG JOURNEY.....
It seems I've been a "Journaler" pretty much all of my life. Don't exactly know why, but I just do it.
Since the terrible and deadly Haiti earthquake on January 12, 2010, I've written a daily Blog every single day!
Some of you have been on this journey with me since the beginning of this blog chain.
We've been all over the world together following devastating disasters i.e. earthquakes, cyclones, typhoons, hurricanes, flooding, fires, war and on and on.
We've spent quiet and peaceful time at this little retreat cabin together and had some wonderful laughs and joy and sadness together.
We've been able to deploy over 1300 Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers in 47 countries. We've brought a lot of CLEAN WATER to the thirsty following terrible disasters. Wow...we've covered a LOT territory together!!
With your love, prayer and support and above all with the GRACE & POWER of God, we've been able to bring clean water, love, hope and the GOOD NEWS of JESUS around the world.
I suppose I can say that my life is pretty much an "open book". Now that I'm wrestling with cancer, my hope and prayer is to continue on this journey together. I need your prayer!!
My PRAYER is for our Lord to HEAL me. But, whatever comes to pass, my highest PRAYER is for our Lord's will to be done in my life.
My life is in HIS HANDS!
If you're new to this "Rambling Blog", WELCOME ABOARD!

WAITING ON THE LORD....PLUS
Now, it doesn't take a "Rocket Scientist" to figure out that our "Diet" has a LOT to do with our health. I've known this all of my life.
But....I've not eaten very well for most of it. Yes, I eat a lot "junk" food and I especially love sausage and other things that are not very good for you.
The truth is, there are a lot things that we eat that actually cause cancer.
So....in addition to "Waiting on the Lord" and PRAYING & BELIEVING, which are GOOD things to do, I'm going to change my diet and begin to eat healthier food and do the things that I can do to beat this cancer.
I'm also seeking the best medical advice that I can get and will be PRAYING for my doctors to have great wisdom from God!
As a little boy, I remember Jack LaLanne "preaching" about diet and natural fruits and vegetables long before it was popular.
Last night, for dinner I had "Juiced" apples, carrots, grapes, blueberries turnip greens, peaches and a few other things thrown into the "Juicer".
It was DELICIOUS!
Now, I know me. I'll "hit & miss" at things. I'm likely not to go "radical" on this. But will add to my diet, good juiced things.
Cindy is an amazing cook and knows all about good diet. When I'm home, I eat pretty good.
Even when we were in Costa Rica last week, Cindy went to the local market, bought a bunch of vegetables and made delicious meals. Love my Girl!!
It's when I'm out and about that I stumble into McDonalds or Burger King or Wendy's or Taco Bell, etc, etc.
I'm saying all of this to let you know that I'm not only going to PRAY about this, but I'm going to do some things that will help the HEALING process.
So, on this magnificent day in the Mountains of East TN, I go forth doing chores, listening to the Word of God, "Waiting on the Lord" and planning my next "Juicing" ingredients and what healthy thing I can cook.
Meanwhile, the "Journey" goes on and the battle continues and with our Lord's help and grace and guidance, I'll put up a good fight against this cancer and hopefully, win the battle.

WAITING...ON THE LORD
Cindy and "Company" made it safely back to Florida. THANK YOU for your prayers!!
In the meantime, here at the "Retreat Cabin", I love spending time just "WAITING" on the LORD.
The Psalmist David got it right....
"WAIT on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: WAIT, I say, on the Lord".
It is evident in the Word of God, David greatly influenced Isaiah...
"But those who WAIT on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles".
Yes, WAITING ON THE LORD is a good thing to do. I'm so THANKFUL to have this opportunity to do just that.
Even though I have calls into countries that need clean water and am awaiting text messages and e-mails, I'm still able to sit and "wait on the Lord". Now, that is cool!!
In between, I'm able to LISTEN to the Word of God on YouVersion.
So, as I go through this day, here at the "Retreat Cabin", I'm holding tightly onto the Hand of Jesus.
What a way to spend the day!!!
As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

CINDY & COMPANY....BON VOYAGE
Cindy, Ari and Peter, along with Andy & Honey (our dogs) and Pippin and Maple (our Sugar Gliders) are heading back to Florida.
Yes, Peter really is that tall!
Pippin & Maple are in the little blue pouch around Ari's neck. And...we think that Maple may be in the "family way"!
Ari begins school tomorrow and Cindy is expected back at the Hospital on Thursday.
As for me....I'll be at the "Retreat" Cabin for a few days, spending some quality time with Jesus.
I have some medical tests scheduled for next week, so thought it a good idea, and my Cindy agrees, to spend some quiet, sweet time at the Cabin with Jesus.
These last few days at the cabin have been great! Last night, Peter's friend, Mike and our new friend Kaitlin came for dinner.
What a JOY having friends and family for good food and sweet fellowship! I love hearing the kids laugh and joke.
Now, that they're on the road (and please remember to pray for them to have a safe journey back to Florida), it's just me and Jesus.
The cabin is so incredibly peaceful and my Jesus is so close. I love it!!
I'm also extremely thankful, that from this cabin in the mountains of East Tennessee, I can conduct ministry business.
For example, in just a few minutes, I'll be on conference call regarding a possible outreach to Guinea West Africa. Thanks to the internet, I can communicate all over the world. For all of these benefits, I'm THANKFUL!!

RELISH....
Cindy makes an insanely delicious relish. It's especially good with fresh home-grown cucumbers & ingredients.
Fresh relish on a good hot dog or even a hamburger just supercharges the taste.
Now, I mention "relish" because that is what I'm learning to do more and more with life around me.
So often, things whiz by us so fast, it's difficult to take even a precious moment and "RELISH IT"!
Here in the mountains of East TN, most of the roads are winding and extremely scenic.
Just taking a deep breath and widening one's vision, even just a bit, can make a 45 minute drive to a local co-op quite pleasant.
For example, the other day Cindy and I were driving to Rogersville, TN and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted this (a Mini Cooper and 2 Triumph TR-3's.
I, immediately turned around and got a nice close-up of these classics. BTW, a real flash-back to my own childhood love for "classic" British cars.
OK, I'll admit since the recent biopsy and discovery of cancer, does cause me to slow down a bit and just take in the beauty and wonder and sweetness of the moment.
Now, I'd like to say here and now, I'm trusting our Lord for complete healing....whichever way HE chooses to accomplish my prayer request. The bottom line is....THY WILL BE DONE!!
I'm reminded of Matthew 7:7 (one of my FAVORITE Scriptures)....
ASK & YOU SHALL RECEIVE. Our Lord Jesus didn't put any limits on that verse. He tells us to simply ASK.
He also adds to that wonderful verse, SEEK & you'll find and KNOCK & the door will be opened.
So, that is exactly what I am doing. And....I'm so blessed that you're walking along this path with me. Your prayer & love is vital!
May I encourage you to consider slowing down just a little bit to take the time to smell the roses.
Or enjoy the journey, even it's a quick ride to the store. There is so much in this life to enjoy and none of us knows how much time we have on this earth.
THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Oh, just living on this fallen earth with so much sin and suffering, there will always be challenges.
Now, I'm facing a challenge in my body (cancer) and am going deep into my own belief and trust in my Lord.
I can say with all of my heart...."It is well with my soul".

AHHHHH! THE HILLS OF TENNESSEE
We have a few days before Ariana goes back to school and Cindy has a few more Vacation Days from the Hospital, so......
We loaded up the Escape and Altima and headed to the Hills of Tennessee (sung to the song of the "Beverly Hill Billy's).
Well, since this "rambling blog" is mostly "Stream of Consciousness", I was just singing the Beverly Hillbilly's theme song and it "spilled" over onto the blog...LOL.
We're up early, had our coffee and will be heading to Walmart (about an hour away).
Then, it'll be into the fields. Have fallen trees to cut for firewood and high grass to mow and things to fix.
It's crisp and cool on this lovely August morning. Can't begin to tell you how much I love this "Retreat Cabin".
I do believe that coffee taste better up here and we're just a bit closer to the Lord. PRAYER is just sweet here at the cabin.
Now, I know that our Lord is everywhere and PRAYER works wherever we are.
But....there's just something wonderful about this "Little Retreat Cabin".
Time to head to the fields and get to work.
THANK YOU, as always, for your prayer, love and support!!!

Had a perfect flight from Liberia, Costa Rica then to Houston then to Orlando. Got home around 9:30pm.
While at the Houston Airport, Cindy and I got in a couple of games of Rummy. Love that game.
Cindy is extremely hard to beat, but I love trying. Our score was 1 to 1.
We then boarded the flight back to Orlando. Our pilots did a superb job of threading the needle through some pretty strong storms.
We landed right on time. THANKS UNITED!!
This morning, we're unpacking, washing our clothes, re-packing and then....heading up to Tennessee.
We've got fields to mow, fallen trees to cut for firewood and a host of chores to do. I'll be operating out of our TN Cabin for the next week or two.
Still can't get over what a restful, inspiring, sweet time we just had in Costa Rica. Our Lord is so GOOD!!!

HEADING HOME....
After 4 amazing days here in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, it's time to head back to the U.S.
Costa Rica is absolutely INCREDIBLE! We hope to come back someday.
The beach and the whole atmosphere has been sweet.
Among the many blessings in Costa Rica is their COFFEE!
Costa Rica is known world-wide as producing one of the best coffees on the planet. I tend to agree!!
We visited the Tamarindo Coffee Roasters and we're just THANKFUL to our Lord for giving us this wonderful little bean!
Then, it just so happened that this restaurant, with a unique name....EAT AT JOE'S...served good food at a reasonable price.
Seems that is the story over much of Costa Rica. That's why it's an extremely attractive spot for American retirees.
No, we're not quite there yet but....will certainly consider it when the time is right.
Well, we ended the day with the famous Tamarindo sunset.
Here, Cindy, Ari and Somebody else's dog enjoyed the spectacular show.
So, it's time to pack up and meet our driver at 3:45AM for the hour + ride to the Liberia Airport.
I am especially THANKFUL for this little "get-away". Cindy, Ari and I have had a glorious time of simply enjoying the beauty and wonder of our Lord's creation.
My faith has been strengthened and I'm standing for a COMPLETE HEALING in my body.
As I say every single day and truly mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

SWEET FELLOWSHIP &...."CHALLENGES ARE A PLENTY"
I love sitting on the porch of the "Retreat Cabin" and talking to my sweetheart.
Cindy and I have faced many challenges over the years.
When one travels the world following disasters, "Challenges are a plenty".
Oh, just living on this fallen earth with so much sin and suffering, there will always be challenges.
Now, I'm facing a challenge in my body (cancer) and am going deep into my own belief and trust in my Lord.
I can say with all of my heart...."It is well with my soul".
We're on our way out the door to Church here in the mountains of East TN. God is GOOD...ALL THE TIME!!
THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

QUICK TURN....
THANK YOU, for your precious prayer, love and support. Time to hit the road for the 12 hour trip to the TN Cabin.
