RIOTS IN AMERICA / TROPICAL STORM CHRISTOBAL COMING & A FLOURISHING VICTORY GARDEN
We continue to PRAY for the PEACE OF GOD WHICH PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING to take hold in AMERICA!!
Remember, our PRAYERS are POWERFUL & PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!!
According to various news sources (taken with a grain of salt), the PROTESTS are becoming more PEACEFUL.
Again, we PRAY!!
Been tracking Tropical Storm Christobal which is brewing and growing in the Gulf of Mexico.
This is an excellent time to PREPARE and get ready. We have seen how rapidly these storms can grow and become deadly.
Here's more - TROPICAL STORM CHRISTOBAL - A U.S. GULF COAST THREAT!
We know how important CLEAN WATER is to have on-hand when disaster strikes!
We're getting Air Mobile Rescuers ready for action!!
Cindy and Ari headed up to the Tennessee Retreat Cabin on Monday.
Upon arrival, she found our VICTORY GARDEN in full growth and beauty.
Take a look at these Collard Greens compared to Cindy's hand.
Remember, this garden began our back porch in Florida. Amazing!!
Put seeds into good soil and delicious, healthful food springs forth.
GOD IS SO GOOD!!!
Take a look at this super radish!
Every thing is growing so beautifully and our "Critter Chasers" (motion activated sprinklers) are keeping the deer and other critters out of the garden.
Again, we encourage you to plant a VICTORY GARDEN if you can. Doesn't take much to put that little seed into good soil and you can grow your own food!!
With all of the crisis & turmoil & sudden and brutal change we are experiencing here in America, the VICTORY GARDENS are looking better and better.
Meanwhile, I'm here in Florida waiting for the Weather to clear out to do a bit more flying but....that may not happen.
So, we'll see what the day brings. Above all, we're PRAYING FOR THE PEACE OF GOD TO GRIP AMERICA!!!
As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

AMERICAN PROTESTS BEING CORRUPTED BY RIOTERS!!!
We in America have the privilege and freedom to PROTEST PEACEFULLY.... BUT NOT..... RIOT / LOOTING /BURN/ KILL / DESTROY!!
I am reminded of the Word of God...
"THE THIEF COMES TO STEAL / KILL & DESTROY, BUT I (JESUS) HAVE COME THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE LIFE (PEACE) & LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY"!! (John 10:10)
There is no question that the life of George Floyd was taken from him by a heinous act of murder. May JUSTICE be done!
But....what is being done on the streets of American Cities is NOT the answer. May I urge you to join together with us in PRAYER for Jesus to intervene in this terrible attack on our nation.
PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR LEADERS!! Somehow, we, as Americans, must come together in PEACE! WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!
Folks, as we witness these tragic actions taking place in America, we are NOT powerless!
The POWER OF PRAYER IS AWESOME!
NOW IS THE TIME TO PRAY!!! Our prayers make a DIFFERENCE!!!
THANK YOU, as always, for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

AIR MOBILE FLIES BACK TO THE AMERICA....AMERICA UNDER ATTACK!!
Early yesterday morning, Scot Law and I headed to the Port-au-Prince Airport to return home.
BTW, it was GREAT having Scot with me on this "Mission". He's a real "Trooper for Jesus"!!
Our "Mission" was accomplished... for now. We were able to refurbish 11 Air Mobile Rescuers and KEEP CLEAN WATER FLOWING TO MANY! PRAISE GOD!
I'm reminded of the Words of our Lord Jesus....
"I was thirsty and you gave Me to drink"...
"When you've done it unto the least of these...you've done it unto Me".
We had a "little glitch" at the airport but...it all worked out extremely well. I'll tell you more about it later.
I topped off all 14 fuel tanks for the long ride home.
Oh, I must say how good it is to have the Little Donkey back in the air on the "mission"!!!
Scot Law and I loaded the Little Donkey, fired up the engines and headed back to America. We had a perfect flight. Glad to be home but....
We're seeing the terrible headlines and the tragic RIOTS that are gripping America.
RIOTS ARE NOT THE ANSWER!!
The tragic death of George Floyd has certainly brought America to a tipping point.
May we ALL JOIN IN PRAYER for our LEADERS and that our Lord will bring PEACE to this terrible situation.
THANK YOU AGAIN for standing so FAITHFULLY with us with your precious prayer, love and support!!!

GO SpaceX!!!
While sitting in Joe's Depot in Haiti, we witnessed the successful Launch of the SpaceX Rocket sending American Astronauts into space from American soil in an American Space Craft, all on my I-Phone.
CONGRATULATIONS & GOD SPEED!!
Meanwhile, our challenge for the day was to get Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers up and going.
With the assistance of Scot and Matt, we were able to take 11 Air Mobile Rescuers that needed special attention and completely refurbish them.
These refurbished units will now be available to Rescuer operators throughout Haiti. PRAISE GOD FOR CLEAN WATER!!
The children in the Village were certainly happy to test out the newly refurbished units.
We were pulling rain water out of barrel that looked pretty nasty.
I can't even begin to express to you the joy of bringing CLEAN WATER to those that so desperately need it!
With your prayer and love and support, you are helping us to do this!! THANK YOU!!!
Now, with COVID-19 beginning to spread like wild fire in Haiti (cases doubling every few days), the need for CLEAN WATER is more important than ever!!
Up early this morning and on my second cup. What does the day hold?
We put this day that our Lord has made into His Hands!
PRAISE GOD for the opportunity and privilege to bring CLEAN WATER to the THIRSTY!!
THANK YOU again for your prayer, love and support!!!!

SLIP OUT THE BACK DOOR TO....HAITI!!
The same weather system that caused the SpaceX Rocket scrub prevented us from flying our "Next Mission" to Haiti.
But, with time, a small door opened and Air Mobile LAUNCHED and the Little Donkey was ready to GO!!
Scot Law, an old friend and Missionary joined me for this "Mission".
I first met Scot in Indonesia following the 12-26-2004 Tsunami. Then we worked very closely together in Myanmar. It's a JOY having Scot with me on this Mission to Haiti.
After the Weather cleared, Scot and I met early yesterday morning at the airport.
Did a final Pre-flight on the Little Donkey and pushed the throttles forward and aimed the nose to Haiti!
The Caribbean Sunrises are always GLORIOUS!!
We came across a few intense rainbows along the way.
Fought some strong headwinds, but 5 hours 15 minutes later we landed Port-au-Prince! PRAISE GOD!!
We unloaded the Little Donkey and I brought a special replacement shipment of Peanut M&M's to my good friend Dave Carwell. Dave loves Peanut M&M's!!
Dave is the Director of MAF Haiti (Mission Aviation Fellowship). Dave and I go back almost 30 years!! DAVE IS A GREAT BROTHER IN CHRIST!!
Traffic between the Airport and the Village was terrible. There was grid-lock everywhere.
Eventually, we drove into the Village and I was met by this lovely "Welcome Home Joe" sign.
Matt and Anna, the Missionaries living in the Village prepared a lovely dinner and yes, it is good to be back in Haiti!!
This unit is built to be re-built. Some of these units have been in service in Haiti for over 15 years and we just keep re-building them!!
The most important thing is to keep CLEAN WATER FLOWING!
BTW, we have 347 Air Mobile Rescuers in operation in Haiti...thanks to the love and generosity of so many!!
Haiti is being DEVASTATED BY COVID-19! New cases are DOUBLING every few days. PLEASE PRAY for all of those in the path of COVID-19!
Scot and I are standing on PSALM 91 to keep us protected from this dread virus!
As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

EARLY BIRD....
Love getting up early in the morning. There is a wonderful peace and stillness in the early morning. A great time to PRAY!
Finally, the Weather cleared enough for us to make a series of test flights in the Little Donkey.
It was time to taxi out and....Make 7 take-off and landings to complete the engine break-in and test all systems.
Made a number of low passes.
Now, all we have to do is point the nose of the Little Donkey toward the next mission and LAUNCH!!!
Time for that second cup of coffee on this early morning prayer time. GOD is GOOD....ALL THE TIME!
And...as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

SCRUB &.....SCRUB
Being located right next to Kennedy Space Center, the same Weather that caused the Falcon / Dragon Crew Launch to SCRUB, caused the Little Donkey to SCRUB also.
Looked like there was going to be a little hole in the Overcast to allow a couple of take-off & landings....but not so. Overcast remained solid.
While at the airport, was pleasantly surprised yesterday to see Gary and Kathy. I call Gary "Gary Tennis Balls" because he found a source of used tennis balls for free and brings them to us regularly.
We, in turn, put those tennis balls around the world for kids to play with. They don't care that they're "used".
He also finds Baby Formula and other critical supplies. Today, he brought us a nice load of baby formula. THANK YOU, Gary & Kathy for your heart to serve.
We're all awaiting the next Launch Window of Saturday Afternoon. GO SPACEX!!!
Onward and upward....if the weather permits. As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

All is a GO....except for the WEATHER! At this hour, we're looking at a 60% Chance for LAUNCH!
I'm glad to be on the Space Coast within close visual range of this Historic Launch. It's been over 9 years since America has launched American Astronauts from American Soil!
Here is an excellent presentation of the this remarkable Rocket and Space Ship - SPACEX SEQUENCE TO LAUNCH & RETURN
We PRAY all goes well for a Successful Launch and Mission.
This morning, before the TFR (Temporary Flight Restriction) is put into effect, I hope to take the Little Donkey up for a series of flights to be sure all is GO for our Next Air Mobile Mission.
BTW, Space Coast Regional Airport is directly across the Indian River from Kennedy Space Center giving us a "ringside" seat to this Historic Launch.

This is an exciting time for American Manned Space Travel.
The Falcon 9 is about to launch 2 American Astronauts in the Dragon Capsule, into space tomorrow....weather permitting.
And the Weather does not look good, but....we'll see what happens tomorrow afternoon.
We're certainly PRAYING for the SUCCESS of this critical mission to get America back into the "Astronaut Transporting Business!!"
PLEASE PRAY especially for the safety of our Astronauts Hurley & Behnken!
Here is a wonderful presentation of the plans for the Falcon / Dragon Launch - SPACE-X MISSION TO SPACE
Meanwhile, yesterday, we had a lovely Memorial Day meal and sweet time with our son, Christian and his family.
Earlier yesterday, Glen Gray and I had a wonderful time of Ground flight training.
We had a role reversal as I was the Instructor and Glen was the student. LOVE THIS TRAINING!!
Today, will be back at the airport...dodging rain drops.
Paul and I will be doing ground run-ups to assure the Little Donkey is developing full power and all systems are a GO....for our "NEXT MISSION"!
Time to head to the airport. THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

REMEMBER.....
During this extremely unusual Memorial Day Weekend, may we encourage you to "Remember" those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our Freedom.
Cindy and I remember her little brother, Tommy Perron, U.S. Marine, who gave his life at 19 years old in the Beruit Bombing on 10-23-1983 .
In addition to "Remembering", may we PRAY for all of our Vets who are alive and remain and...PRAY FOR OUR LEADERS to have WISDOM during this very difficult and challenging time...thanks to COVID-19!
Had the wonderful opportunity to take the Little Donkey up again and test all systems and continue to 'tweak' the Turbo System.
Taxied out for a good run-up and awaiting clearance to take-off.
All systems were right on and we made a smooth take off.
On Monday, we plan to take her back up to 17,500 again to make sure all is well at the higher altitudes.
It is so good having the Little Donkey BACK & READY FOR ACTION!
We're checking with Homeland Security on the procedures to depart and return to the U.S. in private aircraft.
We PRAY that the DOORS WILL BE OPEN....as we're approaching what appears to be a very ACTIVE HURRICANE SEASON.
We're also monitoring what is going on in Haiti.
Reports are coming in that COVID-19 is taking many lives and the numbers are DOUBLING!! WE PRAY!!
Here's more - COVID-19 CASES DOUBLE IN ILL-PREPARED HAITI
So, on this Sunday before Memorial Day, we'll be joining our home Church in Worship.

ARI GRADUATES!
Loved hearing what her fellow students had to say about our girl!
My mind goes back to the little girl from Haiti who was in critical condition and in desperate need of an operation to save her life. WOW!!
After the Graduation Ceremony we all met in the Gym for a bit of Social Distance fellowship.
We're also so THANKFUL to Park Avenue Christian Academy for doing such a good job with our Ariana as well as with all of their Students.
BTW, our daughters Angelica and Juliet as well as our son Peter have all graduated from Park Avenue Christian Academy. We're so THANKFUL for this great school!!
So, today we're getting our home ready to "show" this morning. We're praying that the right buyer comes and gives us a fair price.
We'll be in Florida for the next few days tending to business.
We're looking forward to the upcoming LAUNCH sending our Astronauts to the International Space Station.
We pray the weather is good and all systems are GO!!
Here are the details of this HISTORIC LAUNCH -
SpaceX will launch its Crew Dragon spacecraft on its first crewed test flight to the International Space Station (ISS) on May 27, with NASA astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken on board. GREAT NEWS! & AN EARLY HARVEST & A LONG ROAD TRIP
Yesterday morning, in a Medical Tele-Conference call with Dr. Lavey, a member of our Cancer Team, I received some VERY GOOD NEWS!
We opened our conversation with the fact that the Radiation that I had received earlier at Moffitt Cancer Center.... in my words, "did not like me" and caused me a great deal of pain, causing us to stop the treatment at the midpoint.
Dr. Lavey, with a smile, then made the statement..."The Radiation did not like the cancer either". That was the GOOD NEWS!
The MRI taken on Friday, revealed the cancer had been greatly reduced and the numbers were extremely good!
My PSA numbers also dropped dramatically (from 9.2 to 2.1!!) Small numbers are GOOD - High numbers are BAD.
Apparently, all of the pain that I went through did a lot of GOOD! PRAISE GOD!!
This report was the BEST NEWS I've had since first being diagnosed with cancer last July.
Now, here is our strategy. In 90 days I'll take another PSA Test. If things are stable, then, we'll test again in 90 days.
If the numbers go up, we'll be able to "target" any cancer cells with reduced radiation. With God's help, and our excellent Medical Team, WE ARE WINNING THIS BATTLE!
And....THANK YOU for your prayers!!!!
Cindy and Ari will be heading back to Florida this morning to celebrate Ari's GRADUATION from Park Avenue Christian Academy. She has done so well there and we're very proud of our Ari!!
PLEASE PRAY that they have a safe and uneventful trip back to Florida.
I'm awaiting some documents being sent here to the Cabin then I'll hit the road for Florida.
Ari's Graduation Ceremony will be on Friday evening.

THE WONDER OF MEDICAL TELE-CONFERENCE
In just a few minutes, I'll be getting a call from my Doctor's Office setting up the ability to conduct "Medical Tele-Conference" calls. What a wonderful system.
Long road trips to and from the Doctors Office and the exposure of waiting to be seen are avoided and the list of benefits goes on and on.
Of course, there comes a time where we just have to meet face to face, but in the meantime and in preparation for that time, the Tele-Conference ability is a blessing.
This is one of the results of COVID-19 and it's a good thing.
And, in the meantime at the Retreat Cabin, the vegetables are quietly growing and I can hardly wait for a good "mess of Mustard & Mixed Greens".
The test call just came in. Have to run. Will write more later.

PLEASE...BEAR WITH ME
I know that I talk a LOT about our Victory Garden. But, there is a reason I do so.
Anything that we can do to PRODUCE our own food, especially healthful and fruitful food, is a good thing.
Truth is...very few of us have had to produce our own food. We simply pull out our credit or debit card and head to our favorite grocery story and get what we want.
Of course, the food that we buy comes from many different places and even different countries. The food is also quite heavily treated to make the long journey from the field to our table.
There is much more that I could say but...
With the wonder of "YouTube", we can learn so much about how to do this. I've often thought that we've "hopelessly" lost the 'Pioneer Skills' that our long past relatives possessed.
Truth is, with a little help, we can DO THIS quite effectively and with a measure of success.
Cindy and I began this journey of our Tennessee Victory Garden while in Florida months ago. The COVID-19 SHUTDOWN had not begun.
In Mid-February, Cindy woke up early (3:30AM) with a PLAN. Why not start the Tennessee Victory Garden right on our back porch in Florida.
That same morning, we went out and bought a bunch of "Heirloom" seeds. Heirloom seeds reproduce and are Non-GMO. Again, just "google" Heirloom seeds to learn more.
Cindy planted them on our back porch and watched them grow.
Slowly, but surely, those little seeds began to sprout and with love and care, grew.
I'm still amazed at how good our Lord is to give these wonderful gifts!
Then, several weeks later, Cindy and Ari drove them up to the Tennessee Retreat Cabin. I was already here in Quarantine.
We transplanted them and many of them survived a couple of freezes that the forecasters missed.
Slowly, methodically, we put in bed after bed of our favorite vegetables to eat. We watched many "YouTube" videos and learned so much.
Our favorite method of gardening is the "Lasagna Garden".
This method does not require tilling and keeps weeds out. It's a great system.
We put in layer after layer of compost, mulch, grass clippings, "chipped" wood from fallen trees. Most our our "INGREDIENTS" came right off our property.
Well, yesterday, we had our first Victory Garden Salad and it was DELICIOUS!!
Armed with a pair of scissors, we snipped lettuce, radishes, mustard greens, swiss chard and collards.
There's something about eating food that you've grown!!
Folks, COVID-19 is far from over. We do not know how this is all going to play out.
It is indeed a HUGE WAKE-UP call for us all.
The more "self-sufficient" we can become the better. Of course, our true trust and faith is in the Lord!!
We hope and pray that you've been able to glean from us as we've embarked on this Victory Garden journey.
Take advantage of YouTube and other sources of excellent information about how to GROW YOUR OWN FOOD!
You'll be glad you did. Remember, it doesn't start growing until you put the seed in the soil.
As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

SUNDAY MORNING.....IN THE MIDST OF COVID-19
Our little church, in the mountains of East Tennessee will "meet" in-person this morning.
Oh, there will be "social-separation", and pews will be sanitized, etc. It will be good to actually "go to church" and not just "watch" the service on-line.
Here in America, "Restrictions" are being gradually lifted and slowly, life is heading ...to a new normal.
We'll never be the same after COVID-19 has swept through the whole earth killing hundreds of thousands (maybe millions). We may never know the exact death toll.
At any rate, this Pandemic is far from over. The need to sanitize and be aware of infection is still extremely critical.
There are so many lessons to be learned and followed.
Meanwhile, Cindy and I are continually working on the Victory Garden. We added another bed for sweet potatoes yesterday.
I tasted a tender lettuce leaf yesterday. It was delicious! Some of these started on our back porch in Florida. GOD IS GOOD!!!
We're so THANKFUL for health and strength during this difficult time.
Above all, we're keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus and seeking His Divine Direction each day.
We PRAY that you are blessed and safe from the virus. And, we're so THANKFUL to have you on-board as we walk through these challenges together!

PROVERBS 16....
From time to time, I visit the "Treasure Box" of the Book of Proverbs.
I often read the Proverb of the Day, i.e., today being the 16th, I read Proverbs 16.
I always walk away with jewels of wisdom....which is far better than gold or silver. Today was no exception.
This one Proverb is so full of wisdom and hope and guidance.
If you have a few minutes, just read Proverbs 16 and you'll be blessed. Just thought I'd share that with you today.
Here it is: PROVERBS 16 KJV

"VICTORY" UPDATE & EARLY HURRICANE SEASON??
So pleased to report that despite several "late-season FREEZES", the "Victory Garden" is thriving!!
Can hardly wait to taste those "Greens" and tomatoes and beets, beans, peas, corn, potatoes etc. etc. Mmmmm, good, natural, healthful food is our "medicine".
Been checking the Weather Forecasts and it's looking like we just may have an early 2020 Hurricane Season.
We all remember Hurricane Dorian, a devastating Hurricane in the Bahamas.
Check this out...HURRICANE SEASON MAY GET AN EARLY START NEAR SOUTHEAST U.S.
Meanwhile, Yahn, our Chief Water Mule is busy making Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers in advance of what may be a very active Hurricane Season.
CLEAN DRINKING WATER IS A NON-NEGOTIABLE AFTER HURRICANES!
BTW, had an excellent meeting yesterday with my new Urologist, Dr. Hatcher. He'll be an excellent Point-Man on our team developing our strategy to beat the cancer!!
Of course, PRAYER is our main source of strength, along with a good medical team.

STRATEGY.....
This morning, Cindy and I will be driving to Knoxville to meet with my newly established Urologist.
I recently reached out to R.A.M. (Remote Area Medical) for advice and they and they strongly recommended Dr. Hatcher. Dr. Hatcher was Stan Brock's Urologist.
Looking forward to going over my "case" and exploring the best STRATEGY to beat this cancer.
Above all, we're PRAYING for our Lord to lead and guide us each step of the way.
Meanwhile, back at the Retreat Cabin, yesterday, while Cindy and I were uncovering the plants (protected against a late season freeze), we heard a rumble in the sky. 3 Chinooks flew overhead, shaking our peaceful valley.
As our nation and the world navigates these perilous waters, we PRAY for our Leaders to be directed by our Lord to bring us through this COVID-19 Pandemic.
Cindy and I are THANKFUL to be free from any symptoms. The hard work and clean air we find in our lovely valley.....and above all, PRAYER, supports health & healing.

A QUICK FLITE & A SMOOTH RIDE
Yesterday morning, met Glen, my Instructor and we took the trusty C-172 to do some "Commercial Maneuvers".
Love doing the "Lazy 8's and Chandels. Such lovely maneuvers.
Notice that we're socially separated...until we crawled into the cramped C-172 cockpit.
Now, if we can coordinate Glen's schedule with my schedule and the Flight Examiners schedule, we may can finally get to the long awaited CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) Check- Ride.
In the meantime, it has been a pure joy doing these basic and beautiful maneuvers.
I must admit, this long training journey has definitely "polished" my flying. That's always a good thing.
Then, hit the road for the 12 hour ride to the Tennessee Cabin and to my Cindy and Ari.
Absolutely no delays leaving Florida...but a long line coming into Florida. I suppose Florida wants to know where folks are coming from.
As I crossed state lines through Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee there were no other "Check Points".
The ride to the cabin was smooth and un-interrupted. THANK GOD!
I saw evidence all along the way of America slowly opening up again.
Pulled up to the Retreat Cabin just past midnight. THANK GOD for a safe journey home.
As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

Honey, I miss you and love you and will see you soon!

Just spoke with Cindy and she and Ari worked hard to get as many of our plants covered as possible. BRRRRR!
Fortunately, most of our plants will..."make it" (we pray).
They're also keeping the fire going in the old wood stove. So glad to have plenty of firewood.
But, here in sunny Florida, it'll be in the 80's today.

FROM SEA LEVEL TO 17,500' - GO "TI BURIK"!
It's been a long and winding road to get the "Little Donkey" (AKA: Ti Burik) back in the air and ready for service.
This wonderful little airplane has been a AMAZING tool in the Hands of our Lord and I can't begin to tell you how good it felt to be at the controls and take this sweet bird up to 17,500 for both "engine break-in" and various flight tests.
Began yesterday by heading to the airport to take the Little Donkey for a spin (not literally).
Paul and I went over the Continental Engine Break-in Protocol and what we'd be looking for.
Paul has been our Mechanic for nearly 10 years knows the Little Donkey quite well.
The engines fired right up and we taxied for take-off.
Had a short roll on this windy day and the Little Donkey climbed right out, smooth as silk.
Our first series of test flights would be conducted at 6,500'. All temperatures and pressures were spot on. We varied the power settings from 65% - 75% as required.
After an hour of flight, we came in and landed. We inspected for leaks and any other anomalies. None founded.
Just after landing, my daughter, Cherie, called and asked if they could come by. Perfect timing. Cherie and her missionary friend from Thailand, Katie Hamlett, showed up with their kids.
Seeing Cherie, and my Grand-kids, brought joy to my heart. Their curiosity, and many questions were a nice break between flight tests.
They all piled into the Little Donkey and wanted a ride. Not today.
Had to get back in the air to conduct our High Altitude flight tests.
Yahn and I then took off again and began the climb up to 17,500'.
On our way up, we passed by the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center.
BTW, we'll soon be launching Astronauts back into space from this location. Can hardly wait.
As we passed through 16,000', the rear engine was running strong.
As we leveled off at 17,500' and pulled the power back to a comfortable cruise setting, the manifold pressure on the rear engine lost a few inches of pressure. We made note.
That was the only anomaly on this entire flight test.
We descended and landed. Called Paul and he said that was an easy adjustment to make.
Overall, THE LITTLE DONKEY IS BACK AND READY FOR ACTION! PRAISE GOD!!
Today, I'll be back in the air, but in a Cessna 172. Glen Gray, my flight instructor will be resuming my training for that long awaited check ride for my CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) Rating.
That too, has been a very long and winding road. Seems like every time we get close, something comes up to delay the "ride". Well, we're going to continue on course to get that rating!!!
As always, THANK YOU, for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

My Answer: "Tennessee" and waved right through. I guess they're operating on the "Honor System".
At any rate, the rest of the ride was smooth, with very little traffic on I-95.
Appreciate your PRAYER & THANK GOD for Traveling Mercy!!

A TRIBUTE TO TOM & REMEMBERING DOUG & ARI'S 2ND BOOK PUBLISHED TODAY!!
A part of life that we all know is, death. Just hours after losing John Vrooman (a dear friend), we got news that I lost another friend, Tom Case.
Now, Tom was one tough guy who truly loved the Lord Jesus. I'll tell you one little story about Tom.
BTW, this shot was taken recently at Grills Seafood at Port Canaveral with myself, Tom and Bob Ley.
Years ago, I needed a roof. Had just met Tom at our church and found out he was a roofer.
So, I watched this guy go up and down a steep, precarious ladder all day long. I noted that he had a slight limp. I asked him if he was OK.
He laughed and said that he only had one leg...had lost the other one in a car accident. Now, that was Tom...the toughest, one-legged roofer I ever knew.
When Tom was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, he faced that grim situation with courage and faith.
I spoke with Tom, literally hours before he went to be with Jesus. He assured me, in a calm and clear voice that he was OK and glad to be going to meet Jesus. That was Tom and may his legacy live on!!
And, in memory of another dear friend who is now with Jesus, Doug Augustine. Met Doug a number of years ago. He was a Certified Snow Bird. Would flee the cold north to come down and serve others in sunny Florida.
I see evidence of Doug's handiwork and craftsman skill everywhere. But it really stands out on my little trailer that Doug built for us.
I promised him that one day, I'd paint it red. Well, yesterday with the help of Cindy and Ari, the little trailer is now the "Little Red Trailer".
Good job Cindy and Ari and THANK YOU DOUG!!
And....ARI'S SECOND BOOK, "MANSIONS & MAYHEM" is out today and may be obtained on Amazon.

A TRIBUTE TO JOHN VROOMAN & SOME MORE SAD NEWS
When I first met Cindy, she told me about her dear friends, John & Diane Vrooman. It wasn't long before I met them in Haiti.
Cindy and Diane went to the same church when they were teenagers and when John, a handsome Canadian rode into town on his motorcycle, he and Diane became inseparable and soon were married.
Cindy and Diane both became nurses and had a heart to serve our Lord in Haiti as Missionaries.
John was truly a "Jack of all trades & Master of much". He could do almost anything. From complex communication systems to bringing the Internet to the western tip of Haiti. John was an absolute genius!
Here in the U.S., John could have done anything and could have become a highly paid "engineer".
Instead, he and Diane chose to stay in Haiti, faithfully for nearly 40 years.
There are hundreds of stories that I could tell.
John had reached out to me on Friday to give me an update on the landing strip in Les Cayes Haiti. John passed away the next day.
He was ever "on the job" bringing help to those suffering. Only our Lord knows how many souls that John has touched and brought help and healing to.
For now, Cindy and I are sad to have lost our friend. We know that John is with Jesus, Whom John loved dearly and served for all of his life.
Please remember to PRAY for the Vrooman family as they navigate these sad and difficult days. Haiti is still in "Lock-Down" and flights are very difficult to obtain.
On another sad note, I received a call from my dear friend, Bob Ley. Our mutual friend and dear Brother in Christ, Tom Case passed away yesterday evening.
Tom was one of the toughest, determined person I ever knew. When Tom accepted the Lord Jesus, he went for a hard drinker and fighter to a strong servant of Jesus. Tom never lost his deep convictions and strength that he received so freely from our Lord.
We're going to miss you, Tom!
So, on this rather sad Monday, we go forth with our garden and our plans to provide provisions for hard times.
Hope to get down to Florida soon to complete "breaking-in" that new engine for the Little Donkey.
Have a few medical appointments up here to work around.
As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

GLAD NEWS...SAD NEWS
Yesterday we celebrated Ariana's 15th Birthday. What a grand celebration of joy.
Ari is an amazing daughter and a true gift from God!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARI!!!
BTW, Ari published her second book, "Mansions & Mayhem" when she was 14 years old...the day before her 15th Birthday.
GO ARI!!!
After the party, we all worked together on putting in another bed and spreading amazing compost that we found on the property.
It was good to have Yahn and his kids helping to shovel the good dirt!
We'll have plenty of pumpkins and squash in this bed.
It was just a lovely and sweet day when the sad news came that our dear friend, John Vrooman passed away.
He died suddenly yesterday afternoon, from a heart attack, in Haiti, the country that he so dearly loved.
Recently, John came and stayed a few days with us. Cindy has known John and Diane since she was 16 years old.
This is a huge blow and a great loss. We will all miss John!
Please remember to PRAY for the Vrooman family as they deal with this terrible loss.
One thing we know, John is now with Jesus, Whom, he has served for all of his life.
BTW, John and I were communicating via "Messenger" literally hours before he went to be with Jesus.
He was telling me about the latest improvements to the airport in Les Cayes, Haiti. Sure going to miss my dear brother.
Yahn and Mary Kate and their kids are on the road back to Florida today. Please PRAY that they have a safe journey home.

I HEAR A LITTLE DONKEY CALLING....
Yesterday, received a call from Paul, our Aircraft Mechanic. The Little Donkey is ready to fly!!
Paul had been chasing down a "Gremlin" in a magneto and finally cornered that bad boy and straightened it out.
Now, all we have to do is take it up for some extensive engine break-in flying and chase out any other "gremlins" that might be lurking in hiding places.
There's no place to hide....we'll find you!
Between the Cancer treatments, the Quarantine and many "shut-downs", it's certainly taken a while to get this sweet little bird back in the air.
Sometime, in the very near future, I'll head back to Florida and take the Little Donkey back up in the air. It's ready to fly and...SO AM I!!
Meanwhile, back at the Retreat Cabin here in Tennessee, our garden is growing and the weather is absolutely beautiful.
Plenty of rain and sunshine....just what they need.
Just want you to know how much we appreciate your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

INFO OVERLOAD.....
I don't know about you, but....the NEWS is exhausting and quite confusing. So many different voices saying so many things. My head is spinning.
So, first thing I've done is LIMITED my NEWS input. There, that has helped a great deal.
Next, I've put in my ear piece and gone back to listening to the Word of God as I lay down to sleep. AHHHH! That really helps.
I'm bouncing between Psalms (Especially Psalm 91) and the New Testament and the Epistles.
Then, the days are richer in HOPE & CONFIDENCE in our Lord's leading and guidance.
We'll look back on the COVID-19 days and remember the devastating swiftness of this DEADLY PANDEMIC.
We'll also remember all of the lessons we've learned as well as LEANING on our Lord!!
Now, today we'll be helping Yahn to get some much needed Dental Work done by our good friend, Dr. John Osborne.
I first met Dr. John while working with R.A.M. (Remote Area Medical) on Hurricane Relief several years ago. PRAISE GOD for GOOD FRIENDS WHO ARE DOCTORS!!
Speaking of Doctors, Cindy, Ari and I met our new Primary Care Physician, Dr. John Short. He's a GREAT DOCTOR and will be very helpful in navigating me through the best Cancer Treatment. GOD IS GOOD!!
Above all, I'm standing and believing for our Lord's HEALING POWER!!
So, it's time to head out the door to bring Yahn to the Dentist.
As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!
