THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES.....MARCH 2016

4-2-16 Saturday 6:57 AM (U.S. Eastern Time) - Wilmington, NC - Air Mobile "Delivery" Mission - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

WILL THE NEXT "MISSION" BE GREECE??

Arrived on the CBN / Regent University Campus for the purpose of demonstrating the Air Mobile Rescuer early yesterday morning. It was overcast and raining.

Brian and I have deployed 30 Rescuers in Nepal and he's traveled to Haiti with me on an extensive mission.

We quickly set up the Rescuer next to Lake Dee Dee and pulled some pretty nasty water from there.

Within minutes, we were drinking clear, purified, delicious water from the Rescuer.

A small delegation was in attendance for the demonstration of the unit.

Among the attendees was Ron, a retired Marine Colonel and faithful executive for CBN Internaitonal Relief for many years.

He had great questions and showed a lot of interest in this "near miracle" machine.

After the demonstration, we headed back to his office and began putting together, what could, very well be our next Air Mobile Mission.

Syrian Christians are in extremely precarious and dangerous camps on the Macedonian / Greece border.  They desperately need clean water.

There are a lot of details to work out.  We joined together and prayed and all have agreed to do our "due-diligence" on what could be our next "Mission".

After the very successful meetings at CBN, I hit the road for Wilmington, NC.  There, my very dear friend and Advisory Board Member, Dave lives.  Dave is a GREAT pilot / mechanic and lawyer.

Arrived late yesterday evening.  We had a wonderful dinner in downtown Wilmington and this morning, we'll go see his grand old airplane, a Twin Bonanza (AKA:  "T-Bone").

Dave has offered, on numerous occasions to fly "overflow" Haiti missions and wherever else we need an extra airplane.  That day WILL come!

So, it's off to breakfast and then the airport.  After the "T-Bone" inspection, it'll be off to Dayton Beach to meet with Marty who wants 2 Air Mobile Rescuers for Africa.

This has turned out to be quite the "Delivery Mission".  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

4-1-16 Friday 6:17 AM (U.S. Eastern Time) - Virginia Beach, VA - Air Mobile "Delivery" Mission - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

"DELIVERED" - OPEN DOOR AT CBN

The main "goal" of this mission was to deliver an engine to North Carolina and yet, so much more is happening!

Yesterday, we removed the IO-540 Lycoming aircraft engine from the little Ford Escape.

Next step was to do a thorough inspection to verify that the engine was "as advertised".

The #3 Cylinder was removed and....the inside of the engine was beautiful!

The buyer, John, was very pleased and we concluded the deal.

Initial Mission:  ACCOMPLISHED!

Normally, I'd begin the journey home, however....a special Invitation was extended to me by Brian from CBN.

Being "relatively" close to Virginia Beach, why not pay a visit and do a good demonstration of the Air Mobile Rescuer?  Sounds like a great idea!!

It just "so happened" that I had a couple of Rescuers on-board for delivery to Daytona Beach (Africa bound).  Perfect plan!!

Drove the 4 hours to Virginia Beach and met my good friend, Brian.  We had a delicious hamburger from 5 Guys.

This morning, I'll meet Gordon Robertson (Pat Robertson's son) and then do a Rescuer Demo by purifying water out of a lake at Regent University.

I love how our Lord opens doors....to bring clean water to thirsty folks!

So, it's early, the sun is just rising here in Virginia Beach and it's time to head over to CBN and Regent University to turn some dirty water into very clean water.  Praise God!!

So, as I say every day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for standing so faithfully with us with your prayer, love and support!!

3-31-16 Thursday 5:26 AM (U.S. Eastern Time) - Siler City, NC - Air Mobile "Delivery" Mission - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

WHERE IS SILER CITY &.....WHO'S BURIED THERE??

As I left the well known route of I-95 and began going deeper and deeper into  North Carolina, shades of Andy Griffith were everywhere.  Right in the heart of North Carolina lies Siler City.

This sleepy little North Carolina town was in great part, the inspiration for the famous "Andy Griffith Show".

As "Aunt Bee" got on in years, she decided to return to Siler City and retire.  She is actually buried here.

Well, it just so happens that this little town is where I'm delivering the aircraft engine that will be going on John's beautiful old Piper Aztec.

Just a bit of memorabilia for those who remember the "Good Old Days" or....have seen the great re-runs of the Andy Griffith Show.

Had an "uneventul" trip here.  Having a "Blue Tooth" connection in the Ford Escape allows "hands-free" cell phone usage.  These wonderful, long road trips allow me to catch up with a lot ministry business.

Was on the phone yesterday with "Scott" who wants to see a good Clean Water Program in South Sudan.  Then, was on the phone with Brian, from CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) about this project.  Well, looks like something may come of all of this.

You may recall that Air Mobile & CBN worked very closely together following the devastating Nepal Earthquake.

After I deliver the engine to be "inspected" and prayerfully, accepted by John, I'll be heading over to Virginia Beach to meet with Brian and the International Relief arm of CBN to discuss this possible Clean Water Project in South Sudan.

Oh, yesterday morning, was supposed to meet with Marty in Daytona Beach.  One of his filtration systems in South Florida went down and he had to make an emergency run dow there to go repair it.  I'll meet with him on the way back from Virginia Beach.  Marty will be bringing 2 Air Mobile Rescuers to Africa next week.

Yes, "Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops!  Time to head over to the Siler City Airport to meet John and present the engine.

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

A DATE WITH MY HONEY / RESCUERS TO AFRICA & ANOTHER ENGINE BEING DELIVERED

Cindy & I went on a lovely date last night....and it was long overdue.  There's a wonderful little restaurant in Melbourne, The Nomad, that prepares the best fish in the world...in our humble opinion, mmmm.

We then went to a movie, where Peter is an usher.  It was a great suspense, "#10 Cloverfield Lane".  Quite a few "twists & turns".  Fun movie.

Oh, it's good to have a nice evening out together.

Earlier, my good friend, Bill drove up from Vero Beach to help load the aircraft engine.  I was going to put it in a small trailer.

Unlike the first engine that I delivered to Vermont several weeks ago, this engine had quite a few more accessories installed.   Bill suggested that it would fit in the little Ford Escape.

So, we squeezed it in, much to my surprise.  So much better than dragging a little trailer up to North Carolina.

Just as Bill suggested, the Lycoming IO-540 engine fit like a glove.

So much better to have that precious powerplant in the Escape than being drug around behind the Escape.  THANKS BILL!!

So, up early this morning and doing the final load to head up north again.

First stop, Daytona Beach, where I'll meet with Marty and we'll discuss the Rescuer and how his company can help us make critical components.

Then, I'll train him on the operation of the Rescuer.  He's going to Africa and will be bringing in 2 Rescuers to help those who are thirsty.  Praise God!

From Daytona, it'll be up to North Carolina to deliver the engine, where it will be installed onto a Piper Aztec.  Going to be a busy couple of days and....."On the Road Again"!!

Time to fill the thermos (with "Go Juice"....coffee) and hit the road. As always, THANK YOU for standing with us with your precious prayer, love and support!!

LITTLE DONKEY DELAY....& ANOTHER ENGINE DELIVERY & 2 RESCUERS FOR AFRICA!

Was scheduled to go to Orlando Aircraft Service yesterday to get trained on the new navigation / communication instrument (Garmin 750) but....got a call.

The unit had a problem and had to be sent back to Garmin.  Oh well, glad they found the problem before I was at 17,000 feet in the Bermuda Triangle!

Then, received another call from John in North Carolina.  We'd been talking about his buying an engine that had been donated to Air Mobile.  He wanted it!  Yea!

This sale will provide added funding for the Little Donkey when it comes time for an "engine change".  God is good!!

Headed directly to the airport and began getting the engine ready to be transported.  Swept up the area and gathered the components for the engine delivery.

The engine is complete and "ready to hang".  The buyer, John, is getting a very good deal and Air Mobile is getting "engine reserves" that will keep us flying for a long time!  This is a true "Win-Win" situation!!

THANK GOD for the generous donor who gave this engine to Air Mobile!!

And, earlier, was speaking with Marty who owns a water filter manufacturing plant in Daytona Beach.  Well, he'd heard all about the Air Mobile Rescuer and is going to Africa on a relief "mission".  He wants 2 Rescuers for his journey.

So....I'll be loading them up along with the Engine for John and heading out tomorrow...if all goes well today.  Wow, am just overwhelmed by God's grace & goodness!!

This morning, my good friend, Bill will be coming up from Vero Beach to help us secure the engine on the trailer for safe transport and delivery.  Where would we be without so many who stand with us!!

Going to be a busy day.  Time to head out and pull the pieces together for the next "mission".  As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

WHAT A PARTY(S)!!  CELEBRATNG JESUS!!

We arrived at Fox Lake Park bright and early and the folks were already coming.  Cindy and crew were busy preparing food for up to 700.  All went well!

Our Pastor, Gary, did an amazing job of sharing the GOOD NEWS of JESUS & just what the resurrection means.

Many were touched by Jesus and many seeds were planted in the hearts of those who attended.

From Fox Lake Park, our Air Mobile Team headed to the Hospital in Orlando.  Again, we were able to share the wonder and grace of the Resurrection to the adolescents, the adults and the acute care patients.  PRAISE GOD!!

Today, I'll be collecting vital gifts for Haiti and will also be checking on the "Little Donkey" that has recently had the Navigation / Communication upgraded due to very generous gifts from friends of Air Mobile!

Time to head out into the glorious day that our Lord has made!!  THANK YOU for standing with us with your faithful prayer, love and support!!

HE'S ALIVE....& SO ARE WE!

Because He lives, we have eternal life & joy unspeakable!  Yes, we celebrate His Resurrection today!  I trust you have a BLESSED EASTER CELEBRATION today.  Jesus is surely alive!!!

He certainly gave us traveling mercy yesterday.  Drove the 730 miles from Tennessee to Florida without a glitch.  The traffic was not bad and didn't see a single accident on the entire route.  THANK YOU, JESUS!

Pulled into our driveway at 1:45am, after the 13 hour drive.

Already up and heading to Fox Lake Park, where our home church, Redeemer, will have an awesome EASTER CELEBRATION.  We're expecting up to 700 people and my precious Cindy has coordinated all of the meals.  Go Cindy!

After the "Party in the Park", our Air Mobile Team will head to Orlando and have 3 more EASTER CELEBRATION services at the hospital.  What a wonderful way to spend this glorious day.

Well, time to "swig" down that cup of coffee and go CELEBRATE JESUS!

THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

3-26-16 Saturday 5:57 AM (U.S. Eastern Time) - In the Mountains of East Tennessee - Air Mobile Retreat Cabin - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

BETWEEN GOOD FRIDAY & EASTER

What a glorious time to reflect on just what this "Season" means....."Death has been swallowed up in victory"!

I can't even begin to tell you what Jesus means to me!  Truly, He reached down into a very deep and dark hole and lifted me out, giving me life & joy unspeakable!

Up early on this chilly Saturday, between Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Doing a final check on the Retreat Cabin and will be on the road for Florida in just a few hours.

Last night, Ariana and I finished the "Voyage of the Dawn Treader".  Wouldn't trade this special time with Ari for anything.

BTW, never got a chance to make the Model PBY.  Too many chores, and little repairs, and the time reading "The Voyage" with Ari.  There will be another time to make that model.

My Cindy has been in charge of preparing meals for 700+ and has had her hands full.

We'll get home just in time to participate in "Easter in the Park" an annual event that our Church, Redeemer, does in Fox Lake Park in Titusville.  It's always a Grand Celebration of the Resurrection!!!

Well, it's that time.  Need to put the final touches on the little cabin and hit the road.  Please pray for us to have "traveling mercy" as we drive back to Florida.

And....as I always say, and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for standing so faithfully with us with your precious prayer, love and support!!

GOOD FRIDAY.....A TIME FOR MEDITATION ON THE RESURRECTION!

This morning, I came across this incredible piece and wanted to share it with you.  When you go to the link, there are 2 videos.

PLEASE take a few moments and look at them both (You'll be glad you did!!).  This is just awesome! EMMY WINNING ARTIST DEPICTS JESUS FROM THE SHROUD

Note:  Both videos have a quick ad.  Just be patient.

Oh folks, JESUS IS ALIVE!!  I often meditate on the final hours of Jesus before the Crucifixion and the Resurrection.  This brings such peace and comfort to me.  May you be blessed during this Easter Season and spend some time reflecting on Jesus.

As I've been sharing, Ari and I have been reading the "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" by C.S. Lewis.

Now, to those of you who are familiar with this great epic story, you'll appreciate this shot I took of Ari as she was observing the picture on the wall.  I told her...."be careful, don't get too close...you may get swept away!  She just laughed.

Every morning, we speak with Cindy (who is on another great "Mission for God") and Ari gives her updates on her adventures  here at the cabin.

This will be our last day here.  Again, so glad we took advantage of Ari's Spring Break from school and came up to check out the little cabin.

Wouldn't have known about that busted pipe, which would have made a real mess for our guests who will be coming up in a few weeks.  God is good!!

As always, THANK YOU so much for your faithful and precious prayer, love and support!!

3-24-16 Thursday 7:47 AM (U.S. Eastern Time) - In the Mountains of East Tennessee - Air Mobile Retreat Cabin - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

STAY TUNED....TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

It is a strong temptation to awaken and go straight to the "News".  Yes, I'm guilty!

This morning, I felt the strongest urge to not do that.  Instead, I poured that first cup of coffee and sat outside on the porch of the Cabin and took in the view.

Then, I opened the Word of God, first to Proverbs 24 (corresponds to today).  After reading the wise and comforting Words penned by Solomon, I went to Matthew 25 again and read about...when Jesus returns.

Then, I came in and scanned the news.  Oh, there are all kinds of "Political Wrangling" going on and 400 ISIS Killers "on the march" and so on & on.

The real Truth is that we need to trust God and be diligent to serve Him every day and reach out to the "Least of these".

There, now that's the best way to start the day!  A good cup of coffee and the Word of God will ease a lot of anxiety.  May I remember the lesson.

We've been cleaning up and preparing the little Retreat Cabin for our guests who will arrive in a few weeks.  Ari is a big help.

We work in the day and read CS Lewis in the evening.  We're now on the "Voyage of the Dawn Treader".  Oh, what a great book.  Love this time with our little Angel, Ari!

There is a lot anxiety in this old world and things are definitely "heating up".  It's easy to become worried and anxious about these things.

I find the best thing to do is to rest in the Lord, stay in His Word and listen to the Holy Spirit.  Now, folks, I'm "preaching to myself here".

If you find yourself a bit unsettled by all that is going on in the world, may I suggest you take a bit of time to get quiet, go to the Word of God and rest in Him.  It'll make all the difference in the world.

As always, THANK YOU for you for standing so faithfully with us with your love, prayer and support!!

3-23-16 Wednesday 6:33 AM (U.S. Eastern Time) - In the Mountains of East Tennessee - Air Mobile Retreat Cabin - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

WHAT WILL BE THE FIRST WORDS OUT OF JESUS' MOUTH WHEN HE RETURNS??

These precious Words have meant so much to Cindy and me.  ".....I was hungry & you gave Me to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me to drink....when you've done it unto the least of these, my Bretheren, you've done it unto Me".

Many have tried to lump ALL religions together.  This is simply not the case.  As a Christian, our "Mission" is to bring life, not death.

Jesus, with crystal clear Words, describes to His disciples what will happen when He returns to the earth.  Out of all of the things that He could say upon His return, He chose these Words.  Just read - MATTHEW 25:31-40

The heart of God is LOVE.  Remember these precious Words...."For God so loved that world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life"!

Now, COMPARE this to what just happened in Brussels.  COMPARE what these deranged people are doing around the world in the "Name of their Religion".

As for me and my family, we will CHOOSE to share the LOVE OF GOD!!

Don't tell me that ALL RELIGIONS ARE THE SAME!!  THEY ARE NOT!!!

There, I had to get that off of my chest.  And yes, we need to PRAY for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Jesus also told us to PRAY for our enemies.  This is not always easy, but it is a command from our Lord Jesus.  Jesus, help me today!!

Well, it's another glorious day here in the mountains of East Tennessee.  We're getting this beautiful little "retreat cabin" ready for our guests who will be arriving in mid April.

So glad that we came up here to check things out in advance, as a water line burst in a recent winter storm and would have flooded the cabin.  Yes, "Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops"...even to fix a burst pipe.

I've been reading the Chronicles of Narnia to Ariana.  We just finished "Prince Caspian" last night and will be beginning..."The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" tonight.  These are precious times!

As always, THANK YOU for your greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

CARNAGE IN BRUSSELS...ISIS CELEBRATES!!

So, blowing up innocent passengers makes "Allah" happy??  This is just brutal, vicious, evil insanity!!

We must do all we can to stop this!  Here's more - ISIS EXTREMISTS CELEBRATE BRUSSELS AIRPORT BLASTS!

Just step back a little bit and look at what is happening all over the world.  The God that I serve does not encourage or condone such actions.  Oh Lord Jesus, help us!!

And yes, nations around the world should protect their borders and be diligent to stand against this madness!! This is WAR!  - "THE WHOLE OF EUROPE HAS BEEN HIT"....HOLLAND

BTW, I've passed through this very airport on Air Mobile missions.

So, as I sit in the Tennessee Cabin, on this brisk Spring morning, it's 22 degrees(!) my heart breaks for the innocent victims and there is a certain anger at the deception and viciousness that has gripped so many people!

The best thing that I can do right now is PRAY and be about the Lord's work of bringing His love to a suffering world!

I'm also THANKFUL for the good internet connection that we have.  While here in the cabin....

....am able to keep up with what's going on around the world and place orders for critical components for Air Mobile Rescuers and arrange for maintenance & upgrades  being done on the Little Donkey and arrange the "next mission" and so much more.

Time to get on with this day that our Lord has made.  THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

INSTANT....IN SEASON / OUT OF SEASON

We walked into our church in Tennessee and Pastor Dan "asked" me to preach.  He had a twinkle in his eye and said he felt like I had a "message" for the church.

What could I say?  I had a total of 7 minutes to prepare a Sunday Morning Message.

Again, our Lord, who is gracious beyond words, gave me a message to share.

THANK YOU, Pastor Dan, for allowing me the awesome privilege to share the Gospel!

After church, headed back to the cabin where the "Chronicles of Narnia" awaited us.  Ariana and I spent the afternoon reading this epic tale by C.S. Lewis.

We're on Prince Caspian and may even finish the whole series while up here in the "Retreat Cabin".

You know, it's a good thing that we decided to come up and check the "Cabin" before our "auction" winners come up for their week stay.

Last night, I discovered a major water leak in the "Tiny House" cabin.  Looks like one of the pipes froze during the last heavy winter storm.

And...."winter" is still with us.  It's a brisk 26 degrees this morning.  Where is Spring???

I was hoping to have a little time to work on my PBY Model while up here but....gotta fix that leak.  Hopefully, it'll be an easy repair.

So, it's time to get on with this day that our Lord has made.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

NOTHING....RUNS LIKE A DEER

After an uneventful, but rather slow trip up to the Tennessee Retreat Cabin, we pulled in around midnight.  There was a lot of stop & go traffic on I-95.  We're thankful for a safe journey.

Woke up early this morning to see a small herd of deer right in the front yard of the cabin.  They just stood and looked at me and then casually ran off with their white tails flashing.

It's a bit chilly here, just bumping freezing.  Ahhh, refreshing.

Getting ready for Church this morning.  Just reflecting on our ability to drive from Florida to Tennessee safely and then attend a church with no one stopping or threatening us.

Oh, we have so much, for which to be THANKFUL!  May we never take this freedom for granted!

After Church today, Ariana and I will be reading from the Chronicles of Narnia. LOVE that story!

Time to head to Church.  As I say every day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

"ON THE ROAD"....AGAIN

We're taking advantage of another "Spring Break".  Ari will be out of school this week so....we're taking a quick trip up to the Tennessee Cabin to check on things.

Recently, we offered the use of the Cabin in a charity auction.  The winners will heading up there in a couple of weeks, so we want to be sure all is in order and ready for them.

Besides, we just love the peace and tranquility of the little retreat in the mountains of East Tennessee.

We're making sandwiches and filling the thermos and about ready to hit the road.

Ariana has packed her "Chronicles of Narnia" book (all the stories in one book) and I'm bringing a couple model airplanes to build (it's been 40 years since I've built a model).

Looking forward to this little added "get away" during all these Spring Breaks.

As always, THANK YOU for your  precious and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

A LONG JOURNEY

Been writing this "rambling blog" continually for over 6 years.  Haven't missed a day. Began this current series the day after the big earthquake in Haiti (January 13, 2010).

Over the years, have been to a lot of sad and broken places following disasters and such.  In many ways, this blog is like "therapy".  It's good to be able to have a place to share my thoughts, prayers, challenges, adventures, victories, as well as defeats.

Often, when I get up, have no idea what I'm going to write.  Many times, after a cup of coffee....or two, I just begin typing.  Such is the case today.

Just read in Proverbs 18:10 that the "Name of the Lord is a strong tower".  Indeed, it is!
Have been in a number of very tight, difficult and dangerous situations and have had only "The Name of Jesus" and have seen the Lord move mightily time and time again.

I don't' know where you are today.  Perhaps you're facing a very difficult situation where seemingly, there is no solution.  Well, I'm here to tell you that if you call upon the Name of the Lord, He will show up!!

Nothing special going on today.  Just have a long "To Do List" and need to keep on marching and knocking that list down.

As always, THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with me.  So appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

THE LORD TESTS THE HEART!

Just love reading Proverbs.  As you may know, I try to read a Proverb-a-day (don't always).  Today, the 17th, gave me some added consolation as I observe the Presidential Campaign going on in America.

In any Campaign, a lot of promises are made and much is said, but it is comforting to know that the "The Lord tests the heart"!

Proverbs 17 is just so rich in wisdom and guidance.  Here, I'd like to share it with you.  It's worth the read. PROVERBS 17 NKJV

Speaking of "Wisdom", yesterday, it was such a blessing to speak to the O.W.L.S..  This group is made up of "Seasoned Saints" who have "been there, done that".  There is so much to be gained from our Seniors.

The part that I love most is when, at the end of my message, they come up and PRAY for me.  Yes, I get the better end of the deal.

So, it's time to head out into this day that our Lord has made.  It's always good to know, according to the Word of God, that He is in control!  THANK YOU, as I share with you every day, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

IDEA EXCHANGE & SPEAKING TO O.W.L.S.

Recently, received a call from Dave, who sits on the Board of "Chapin Living Waters".  He wanted to share what this great organization does toward helping folks to grow vegetables on very little water.  I was fascinated.

We agreed to meet at Grills (great Restaurant) in Cape Canaveral, FL.  I would be able to tell him about the remarkable Air Mobile Rescuer and he would tell me about the incredible "drip" irrigation system invented by Mr. Chapin.

People need FOOD & WATER!  We had a very good meeting and a wonderful "Exchange" of great ideas!!

I then spoke with Doug Carlson, the CEO of Chapin Living Water and they'll be sending us a "system" to set up in Haiti.  Was able to tell Doug about the Rescuer and I sent him good information on the Air Mobile Rescuer.

Both of our organizations travel to, and work in areas that desperately need FOOD & WATER!  I love it when organizations come together and serve the Lord!!

To learn more about "Chapin Living Waters" go to:  CHAPIN LIVING WATERS - PROVIDING HOPE ONE DROP AT A TIME

From that good meeting, I met Austin at the Air Mobile Headquarters.  You may recall, Austin led a team of Boy Scouts to do a "Make-Over" on our headquarters building last summer.

Well, Austin has chosen the Air Mobile Rescuer as his Senior Project.  He's been helping us to assemble the units and has learned a great deal about this great machine that turns very dirty water into very clean water.

We went over the final operation and set- up yesterday prior to his presentation.  PRAISE GOD for your young people with a heart to serve the Lord and serve others in need!  Go Austin!!

This morning, I get the distinct privilege to share the Good News of Jesus with a group that I dearly love, the O.W.L.S. (Older - Loving - Wise - Seniors).

These "Seasoned Saints" are prayer warriors and have been such a blessing to Air Mobile.  It's always good to speak with them and learn from them and....get PRAYED for by them.

It's time to head out the door to meet with the O.W.L.S.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

THE POWER TO VOTE!!

Today is a BIG VOTING DAY in America.  Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Northern Marianas, North Carolina and Ohio are all in play.  Yes, this is a BIG DAY with a lot at stake.

There is no question that Donald Trump has certainly "stirred things up".  Cindy and I have followed all of the Candidates very closely and listened to what they've said, as well as what they do and have done.

Above all, we have PRAYED about this....extensively.  After careful review and looking at all of the Candidates resume's, our conclusion is to vote for Ted Cruz.  His record is amazing and consistent.  Ted Cruz does represent our Christian Values!  We believe that he would be an amazing president.

So, though we are just two people among millions, we humbly & prayerfully endorse Ted Cruz.

There, now that I've said that (and I'm sure this endorsement will upset some of our friends and family), we must vote our conscience and our heart.

Whatever you do, PLEASE VOTE, as your Vote does count.  Many have, due to frustration and other reasons, just sat out the Vote.  Please don't do this!  Above all, PRAY and ask our Lord to lead you in this most important election.

WHAT IS A "NAVIGATOR"??

nav·i·ga·tor
ˈnavəˌɡādər/
noun
  1. a person who directs the route or course of a ship, aircraft, or other form of transportation, especially by using instruments and maps.

Now, that is Webster's definition of a Navigator.  Well, there's an Organization called "The Navigators" and I'll be speaking to a group of them this evening.  Love the Navigators!

In short, they help folks "Navigate" through life "especially" using "Instruments and Maps".....THE BIBLE!

A young lady in our home Church, Whitney,  joined the Navigators several years ago and will be bringing 30+ young people from the Navigators to our area.  I'll be speaking to them this evening and am THANKFUL for the privilege to do this.

This is a wonderful organization and I urge you to pray for them and consider supporting them.  Here's more about the Navigators - www.navigators.org

Speaking of "Navigation", because of a very generous donor, Air Mobile has received an incredible Navigation / Communication instrument, a Garmin 750.

Our great Avionics shop, Orlando Aircraft Services (OAS) is installing it at this time.  BTW, OAS, has been doing our "Avionics" work since 1982!

There is NO DOUBT, our Lord has His hand on the "Little Donkey" and Air Mobile.  We're so THANKFUL for this wonderful upgrade!

So, it's time head out into this beautiful day that our Lord has made!  As always, THANK YOU for your precious and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

SPRING FORWARD....

Many attribute the "Remarkable" Idea of Daylight Savings to our very own Benjamin Franklin.  However.....it may have been a clever joke and not to be taken seriously.

Just thought I'd share this tid-bit of trivia with you.  Doctors are saying that the hour shift may do more harm than good to us.

Mmmmm...another bright idea.  Here's an interesting take on "Daylight Savings Time" - DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME CAN BE BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH

Enough of all of that.  It's best to just "Get over it".  It's likely not going to change anytime soon.

Well, we made it home from Georgia yesterday.  We sure enjoyed our little "get-away".  So, it's Sunday morning and time to get ready for Church and than the Chaplain ministry at the hospital.  So glad that we have the FREEDOM to do this.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A GRAND OLD LIGHTHOUSE & SAYING GOODBYE TO NANCY

One of our goals, here on Tybee Island, was to go see the grand old Lighthouse and we weren't disappointed.

As a pilot, I love lighthouses. They were part of integral "Navigation Systems" in by-gone days.  I also like to say that "Jesus is my Lighthouse".

As we approached the Tybee Lighthouse, one could see the engineering wonder, realizing that this was built originally in 1773.  It was rebuilt in 1867.

The local Historical Society did a superb job of "re-creating" this beautiful structure and surrounding housing for the Light Keepers.

Of course, we had to climb the 176 steps all the way to the top....and we did it..."one step at a time".

Our goal was to reach the top and walk out on that walk way...realizing that this structure was very old...but quite solid.

Once up to the very top, the view was wonderful of this lovely little Island.

However, Ari was a little apprehensive, as can be seen by her slight, nervous smile.  We held onto her tightly.

Once at the top, one could see how that very small light-bulb was dramatically magnified by the ingenious lenses making the light visible for many miles.

Of course, before electricity, the light was powered by whale oil.  Quite a task for the Light Keepers.

We also took several bike rides.  One of the "dangers" of living on an Island like this is the "Storm Surge" from the inevitable Hurricanes that come from time to time.  This is a good photo to demonstrate why to "EVACUATE".

Yesterday, the world bid "Farewell to Nancy Reagan".  What a remarkable lady.  Many had much to say about this wonderful wife and "First Lady".

Well, today marks the end of our little, very pleasant and restful "get away" on Tybee Island.  We're packing up and heading home.  We are a bit more refreshed and recharged.

So, as I say every day and certainly mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable and greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

HEY....GO FLY A KITE!!!

So, I did! Oh, it was the perfect day for such. The wind was just right as was the temperature.  What a lovely way to spend a day.

Before heading to the beach, we saw Peter off.  He had to return for his afternoon shift at work.

Then, it was off to the beach for some pleasant, tranquil time of just enjoying the wind and waves and the peace and a few laughs.

Once, I got that kite aloft, I turned the "controls" over to Ariana who took the little kite for quite a "spin".

Meanwhile, "back at the mobile office", was able to work on scheduling a Haiti Delegation's visit to Florida to tour the Harris facility. We're working hard to continue to improve the safety and capability of the Haiti Air Traffic Control.

Did you happen to catch the Republican Debate last night?  After the previous "slug-fest" Cindy and I didn't quite know what to expect.

Well, last night was, in our humble opinion, the best of all.  All 4 Candidates stayed on topic and didn't talk over each other and actually acted like "grown-ups".  It was a pleasant and insightful experience.

Today, we might get over to the see the Tybee Light House maybe.....we're playing things nice and easy.  Oh, this little break is sweet.

As always, THANK  YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

EASY DAY AT THE BEACH

We have very nice beaches in Florida, but....the beaches in Georgia are...almost as nice.

We spent some "quality" time just enjoying the Georgia beach on Tybee Island.

Ari entertained us with mulitple "Creative Dance" routines.

Before heading to the beach, I made a big pot of grits.

Shaun (Juliet's husband), who is from Massachusetts has "developed" a love for grits, not common New England fare for breakfast.

Today, Peter will be striking out early for Florida, as he has a new job and must be home for his evening shift.

We'll continue on here on Tybee Island until Saturday when Shaun and Juliet have to fly back to Boston.

Have been getting calls from folks wanting to bring supplies for Haiti.  Again, so thankful for cell phones and good internet connections.

We can continue to put "the next mission" together from a pretty beach in Georgia.  "God is Good....all the time"!!

Not sure what we'll do today, but it will likely be laid-back and restful.

As always, THANK YOU for your greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

GRILLED CHICKEN & POLITICS

A distinct advantage to renting a "Condo" for a week is the fully equipped kitchen.  Cindy loves to cook and....we went shopping and planned out a full menu to cook 'at home' and not go out.

Juliet and Shaun flew into Savannah from Boston and we picked them up.  Had grilled chicken, a lot of "Rummy" (the card game) and fun discussions on politics.

The "kids" (Ari, Peter, Juliet & Shaun) just hung out and had some good laughs.  So glad that we can have this time together.

The Condo has full cable and I just lay around watching the Political Pundits try to figure out who will eventually be the candidates & Cindy watched "Cupcake Wars".

Not a lot planned today.  We "may" go into Savannah & do a little "touristy touring".  Savannah is a beautiful town.

Oh, the internet is never far away.  Have had a few communications between Haiti and Harris on the next steps toward further improvements on the Air Traffic Control System in Haiti.

So, it's time to make an "old fashioned" grits and egg and sausage breakfast.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

WHERE IS "TYBEE ISLAND"??

Right off the coast of Savannah, GA lies a sleepy little Island named Tybee.  Cindy and Juliet (up in Worcester, MA) had been talking about a little "get-away" and they found this beautiful, lazy island.

We arrived yesterday evening and look forward to a few days... "away from it all".

Tybee is also well known for it's Lighthouse and  we intend to visit it later today....maybe.  Our "Schedule" is loose and flexible.

Juliet and Shaun will be flying into Savannah later today.  We've missed them!

Shaun has been very busy in his medical practice and Juliet has been working hard for the homeless in Worcester.  Yes, it's time for a little R&R.

Peter is with us for a few days, before he'll have to drive back for work, flight training and school.  Angelica will be driving up from Orlando later this week.  Glad for this time together.

As I said earlier, our plans are flexible.  We have a lovely Condo with everything.  We'll be doing a lot of cooking, eating, quiet walks, time in the hot tub.

It's time for Cindy and I take an early morning walk.  As always, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

A DAY AT THE HOSPITAL

Again, because of "Confidentiality Regulations", I can give no specific details of our ministry at the Psychiatric Hospital in Orlando.

But....I'd like to give a little general info about a typical service(s) that we have the grand opportunity to do each Sunday.

Immediately after our regular Church service at Redeemer, where Gary Ginn is Pastor, we dash to Orlando.  It's about a 45 minute drive.  We usually pic-up a quick "to go" lunch along the way.

Upon arrival, we set up our equipment in the Hospital Cafeteria.  We have Service #1 in the Cafeteria, so in addition to setting up our sound system and overhead, we have to arrange all the chairs to turn the cafeteria into a small church.

We often play contemporary Christian music and many of the patients know and love the songs.  They also, voluntarily, come forward and help lead the music.  They become our choir.  We rotate between boys one week and girls the next week.

Do you remember Aldrich and James from the Philippines?  They have become an "Internet Sensation" with literally "millions of hits" on the internet.  Well, they've been to the Hospital with us and we even show them playing on the overhead.

Then, our Air Mobile Team splits up.  The service in the Cafeteria continues and Team #2 heads to the Acute Care Patients and Team #3 goes to the Adult unit.

All "attendees" are 100% Voluntary.  A number of the Staff Members have known Cindy and I for many years, a couple even 18 years!

When we began doing this outreach, Peter was just a few months old.  Now, he's 6'3" and in college.  He, along with our other children have grown up doing this remarkable service every Sunday of their lives.

Now, we have a TEAM of volunteers who join us each week.  We are so THANKFUL for them.  When we travel, they arrange to "cover" the services.

Oh, I could give you so many "Testimonies" of changed lives....but I can't.  Suffice it to say, our Lord is truly with us and by His Spirit, these lives are changed.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!  How would you like to become a member of our "Team"?  We are always looking to strengthen our Team and could use your help!

If you live in the area, or know anyone in the area that could help, we'd truly appreciate hearing from you!!

Well, today, we're up early and "packing" (not heat).  We're headed to a small island off the coast of Georgia for a little "family get-away".  Juliet and Shaun will be joining us (from Massachusetts) along with Peter from college and Angelica from Orlando.

We've rented a condo and plan to just have some down time on the beach making sand castles and cooking most all of our meals and just being together.

So, I thought I'd give a little "slice" of a "Day at the Hospital".  Again, we're so THANKFUL for your precious prayer, love and support!!

FLYING WITH A LITTLE ANGEL

Ariana joined me yesterday on a short flight to Orlando, delivering the Little Donkey for some "avionics" work.

The flight was at low altitude in the afternoon and was somewhat "bouncy". Ari was brave.  She is my "Little Angel"!

Earlier, I met with "Delta Rose" at a close-by McDonalds to receive some wonderful little dresses for orphans in Haiti.  Rose, who flies for Delta Airlines, has been such a blessing to so many.  THANK YOU, Rose!!

We're up early this morning, getting ready to go minister at the Hospital after church.  It's always such a joy to bring the Good News of Jesus to those who are "shut in".

So, it's that time, need to head out into this beautiful day.  We so appreciate your prayer, love and support!!

BEING PRAYED FOR!

One of the things that I truly love about speaking to groups is having them PRAY for me.  That is exactly what happened yesterday.

My dear friends, Tom and Lydia asked me to speak to their prayer group in Narcoossee, FL and share what we do.

After speaking, the group came up, encircled me and prayed for Air Mobile and our outreach around the world and for me, personally.  Indeed, I received the greater blessing!!  There is POWER IN PRAYER!

One day, I came across this little saying....and it stuck - A.S.A.P.  - ALWAYS - SAY - A - PRAYER!  That is such a good thing to remember.

As a matter of fact, I have little "Sticky Notes" all over the place to remind me to simply PRAY.

Often (and I am certainly guilty), we get so busy that we simply forget to PRAY.  The truth is....if we really knew what happens when we PRAY, we'd PRAY MORE!

And remember, we really can't PRAY too much.  We're admonished in God's Word to....PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.

This morning, will be meeting our dear "Delta Rose" (who has arranged flights for Air Mobile all around the world).  She has some "goodies" for the orphans in Haiti.

Then, I'll fly the Little Donkey over to Orlando, where we'll be installing a piece of new radio / navigation equipment that has been donated to Air Mobile.

So, on this beautiful Saturday morning, as we prepare to launch into the busy day, may we PRAY.  Simply pray for His guidance and protection and for His will to be done in our life. There, that's EASY!

And, as I say every day and mean with all my heart....THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

DEBATE MADNESS - A SUCCESSFUL TEST FLIGHT & PASSING ON BLESSINGS

It was "painful" watching the Republican Debate last night.  This certainly indicates our need to PRAY for the upcoming election!!  That's all I'm going to say.

Had a successful test flight in the Little Donkey yesterday.  My good friend, Bill, passed by and he took the controls on the test flight.

You may recall, Bill donated the Little Donkey to Air Mobile immediately following the terrible earthquake in Haiti (2010).  BTW, Bill flew the little bird beautifully!

Was able also to bless Bill with some aircraft motor oil and 4 life jackets.  Just passing on the blessings!

Again, so thankful to Colleen & Tom who arranged that oil gift and Dave for the big box of life jackets!!

Have been passing out those life jackets to other pilots on our field.

This pilot told me that he was about to make a flight "over-water" and needed jackets.  Showed up "just in time".

This morning, I'll be speaking to a group of "Seasoned Saints" led by my good and dear friends, Tom and Lydia.  Tom is retired Air Force and Lydia is executive assistant to the president of the "Jesus Film Project".  It's always a joy being with them!!

Time to head out into this day that our Lord has made.  As always, THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!!

A LITTLE "CONGRESSIONAL" HELP

Several weeks ago, I had a meeting with our District Congressman, Bill Posey.  I explained what Air Mobile was doing with the Air Mobile Rescuer globally.

I also explained how Harris, a local company, of which I am an Agent, won significant contracts in Haiti to install new Air Traffic Control communications.  It was a good meeting.

As a follow up to that meeting, yesterday, Patrick Gavin, a Congressional Staff member met with Yahn and me to get an actual demonstration of the remarkable Rescuer.

Yahn was able to show Patrick future plans that Air Mobile has to make a "smaller" (man-portable) and a "larger" (Community size) Rescuer.

We discussed possible "Grants" that may be available to fund vital research.  We also looked into possible connections with FEMA and other relief organizations.

Our Government "invests" in so many projects.  Some good and some bad (in my humble opinion).

I went on to explain that Air Mobile now has over 1000 Rescuers in 47 Countries.  This remarkable device has been tested time and time again and passed with flying colors!!

I also explained that NASA has been testing the Rescuer, for some time, for possible deployment on the International Space Station (ISS) as well as for the future Mars Mission.

It would be good for the government to invest in a true "life-saving" project being developed by a creative and innovative organization with a rich track-record, such as ours.  We PRAY!!

Paul, our mechanic and I did a good engine run-up yesterday on the Little Donkey.  Today, I'll take it up for a test flight following the work done.

Time to head out into this beautiful day that our Lord has made.  As always, THANK YOU for your prayers and love!!!

JOURNEY END....FOR NOW - PETER'S FIRST "OFFICIAL" FLIGHT LESSON

It was good to roll into my own driveway and sleep in my own bed.  What a great, but long journey (3000+ miles!). Yes, it's good to be home!

Before going home, passed by the airport to drop my "treasures" that we were blessed with along the journey (free oil & life jackets).  The timing was just perfect.

Our son, Peter, began "official" flight training with Brian, our great CFI (Certified Flight Instructor).  Brian was filling in Peter's "Official" Log Book.

Peter has flown with me on many flights and has shown both a great interest as well as a natural "flying" ability.

So glad that he's now, formally, beginning his training.  So THANKFUL to Brian for sharing his extraordinary gift as a Flight Instructor with Peter!

I followed these 2 out to Brian's beautiful Cessna 172.  Brian went through the steps of training Peter for his first Pre-Flight inspection.

Because of Peter's full schedule at Florida Institute of Technology (F.I.T.), his lessons have to be in the late afternoon.  Caught them "taxiing" into the sunset for that first take-off.  Nice shot and a memorable one.

Then Cindy and Ariana met me at a very nice restaurant, Shiloh's Steak & Seafood, by the airport.  We actually saw Peter in traffic pattern.

He then joined us for a late "Birthday" dinner for Cindy.  You may recall, she was in Massachusetts on her actual birthday.  Again, what a nice way to end a long journey!!

Yesterday morning, began the final leg of this journey at the "Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum".

Every time I come close to this Museum, I try to stop in and take in more of the history and the valor from these brave aviators in World War II.

Well, it's time to head to the airport for another "Test Flight" in the Little Donkey.  Paul, our great mechanic recently did a full inspection as well as changed out the front vacuum pump.

Let's see if that little bird is ready for the "next mission".   As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

CHEAP GAS...FREE OIL & A LOAD OF LIFE JACKETS

Sometimes, in life, things just "come your way".  Yesterday was such a day.  Bought gas at $1.439 per gallon.  Now, that's CHEAP!!

Had an Escape full of free aviation oil (pretty expensive stuff). When I went to share some of that free oil with my good friend and Brother in Christ, Dave Walen....he gave me a huge box full of "Life Jackets".  Yes, the Lord is GOOD!

We agreed to meet on I-95 in Dunn, NC.  Had a pleasant lunch.  Caught up on all that our Lord is doing in our lives and made the great exchange.....free oil for free life jackets.

Dave, earlier, won a bid for a whole bunch of aviation life jackets and wanted to share the blessing.  Now, when I get back to Florida, I'll be able to offer "free" life jackets to all of my aviation buddies.

Afterwards, I "hit the road" and made it to Pooler, GA.  Just so happens that the "Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum" is here.  Mmmm, may go pay them a visit to take in a bit of WWII Aviation History.

I should make it home by mid-afternoon.  This journey.... to sell an engine, meet with my Harris Agent, get some free oil, have a great "catch up" lunch and swap oil for life jackets.

Will have traveled over 3000 miles, going from Florida to the Canada Border (North Hero, Vermont) and back to Florida.  Our Lord has given great traveling mercy!

There's something about a long "road trip" to sort out one's thoughts and spend some quality time with the Lord.

So, it's time to go get that "Free Breakfast" and spend a little time in the "Mighty Eighth Museum and ponder the great sacrifice that so many made for our freedom.

I've missed my Cindy and it's time to get home.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!
