At this point, in this battle of life and death for this precious Doctor in Haiti, the best thing is for her to remain where she is and build up her strength.
Our PRAYERS are so vital and Dr. Sherlyne is fighting with all of her strength. PLEASE keep up the PRAYERS & LOVE!
We hope to get a report this morning. I'm so THANKFUL that our Dr. Steve Badolato and Dr. Sherlyne's husband, who is also a Doctor are working very closely together.
Haiti is in such terrible condition and they desperately need good Doctors.

AN URGENT CALL FROM HAITI!
Yesterday, received a prayer request for a Doctor (Pediatrician) in Haiti who needs IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY CARE to save her life.
First, we have been PRAYING for a MIRACLE!
Then, through a series of calls and tapping into some old and dear friends, we're lining up a Medi-Vac Jet to fly her to the U.S.
Then, we've secured a "Receiving Doctor" to meet the plane. THANK YOU DR. STEVE!!!
A GO FUND ME page has been set up and I urge you to give whatever you feel led to save this precious Doctors life in Haiti.

Well, with all of this TOP SECRET stuff going on, I was pondering what to write this morning.
Then, I recalled, as a kid, sitting around the Black & White TV, eating TV Dinners, and watching the panelist guess...THE SECRET.
BTW, Biden would have been a teenager at the time and likely watched the show and gotten a few tips & probably forgotten a few.
Enough about all of this. No telling where all of this will end.
Today, working on our taxes and planning our next "Mission(s)".
But....I'd like to believe we're getting a little older and wiser.
In the meantime, we PRAY FOR AMERICA to maneuver through all of this.

On this crisp, beautiful morning, here at the "Retreat Cabin", we're PLANNING our next Missions.
2023 is definitely shaping up to be a challenging year.
As we follow the developments of the War in Ukraine, we're building more Air Mobile Rescuers for deployments into "HOT" regions where war is raging & CLEAN WATER is desperately needed.
Likewise, we're developing PLANS for Emergency Rescue flights to Haiti and getting in position to move those in extreme danger OUT of Haiti.
More to come on these Missions, as they develop.
In the meantime, here at the "Retreat Cabin", we're just enjoying the peace and beauty that we have here.

72 YEARS AGO TODAY.....
I recall my mother telling me the story of the birth. It was a very difficult delivery, long hours in labor....and at birth her baby boy contracted Viral Pneumonia and fought between life and death.
Apparently, our Lord Jesus had plans for that little boy.
Well, I'm glad he survived....enough to write this rambling blog today.
PRAISE GOD....it's good to be alive!!

HACKED???
It is rather strange that Canada had a similar problem. Again, we may never know.
Our hope and prayer is that this event will cause a solid review of our ATC Systems and proper redundancies will be put into place.
And, on another note, the latest revelation regarding the 2nd batch of MISSING Classified Docs found in Biden's private office is quite revealing.
All I can say is....I hope and pray that EQUAL JUSTICE WILL BE DONE! We'll see....
Oh well, just another "News" day and all the more reason to KEEP OUR EYES FOCUSED ON JESUS!!

At this hour, ALL U.S. FLIGHTS ARE GROUNDED due to a MAJOR FAA COMPUTER OUTAGE!
This is extraordinary and it is not currently reported as a terrorist attack.
We'll stay tuned and see how this incredible story proceeds. WE PRAY!!

20,000 OPERATIONS!!
Yesterday, meeting my surgeon Dr. Smith, of Vanderbilt University Medical Center, was a true blessing.
I understand why my Urologist told me to see Dr. Smith. He is a Legend in this type of surgery....having performed over 20,000 such operations!
His quiet confidence and vast knowledge is very comforting.
We've already scheduled a series of scans and another biopsy to see just what is going on in me.
I'd like to add that Dr. Smith goes to Africa 4 times a year and does amazing work with those less fortunate.
We also discussed the desperate need for CLEAN WATER. I'm sending him info on the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier.
THANK YOU JESUS!!
So, Cindy and I headed back home from Nashville, which is, an amazing and beautiful city.
All I can say is PRAISE GOD for His AMAZING GRACE!!

MUSIC CITY....FIDDLIN!
After church yesterday, Cindy and I hit the road for Nashville, a 4 hour drive.
It was cold and rainy, but....coffee always makes the drive better.
There, we found ourselves some powerfully good "Fiddlin".
The food was great and the atmosphere was....Nashville all the way through.
So, this morning we're heading to meet my surgeon and get the details for my upcoming surgery.
We're confident in our Lord's healing power and we're THANKFUL for the excellent medical team that He has provided.

Tomorrow morning, Cindy and I will be meeting with our surgeon at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), and going over all the details.
We're confident in the healing power of our Lord and that all will go well.

A DAY AT THE "OFFICE"....
Yes, it's good to be home at our sweet "Retreat Cabin".
Today, I'll be working in the Air Mobile office answering correspondence and sending out "Receipt" letters.
As always, we're planning our "Next Mission(s)". It's good to know, if need be, that we can now increase our aviation outreach with the addition of Captain John A.'s Skymaster.
As we launch into 2023, we see so many areas of extreme need. Yesterday, I spoke with my dear friend and Brother in Christ, Bobby Burnette of Love-A-Child Mission.
Bobby gave me the harrowing details of a recent kidnapping of 17 "Love-A-Child" employees. After 13 days, they were released..... MIRACULOUSLY!!
Unfortunately, one lady died in this brutal attack. Please pray for her family.
PLEASE - PLEASE REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR HAITI & THOSE WHO ARE RISKING THEIR LIVES TO HELP OTHERS!
The suffering due to the terrible Gang activity is staggering. None of this is getting into the news.
CLEAN WATER is desperately needed with the terrible Cholera outbreak! So much more needs to be done!

HOME AT THE "RETREAT CABIN".....
Rolled up to the sweet "Retreat Cabin" yesterday afternoon. It's just good to be home....for a little while.
In reflection on the wonderful meeting I had with John A, the UPS Captain and Skymaster owner, all I can say is WOW! What a sweet deal.
John's flying experience is just incredible and his heart to serve Jesus is extraordinary.
The fact is we can now literally DOUBLE our aviation assets. PRAISE GOD!!
2023 is shaping up to be quite a year and we're so THANKFUL to be alive and available to our Lord during these turbulent and perilous times.

ENLARGING AIR MOBILE.....
Yesterday morning, I had the pleasure to meet John A, a UPS 767 Captain.
Well, our meeting yesterday went just great! John has agreed to make himself and his Skymaster available to Air Mobile as needed.
He'll even be moving his Skymaster from Melbourne, FL to the hangar right next door to the Little Donkey!
In essence, Air Mobile's "Fleet", just DOUBLED in size and capability!
As we look ahead to 2023, we know that there are great challenges ahead. Along with those CHALLENGES, we have great OPPORTUNITIES before us.
John A is a solid believer in our Lord Jesus and as we concluded our great meeting yesterday, our PRAYER was simply.....Dear Lord, have Your way with us and above all, THY WILL BE DONE!!
PRAISE GOD!!!
Well, after our great 4 hour meeting, I hit the road for our beloved "Retreat Cabin". Got about half there and pulled into a comfortable hotel somewhere in South Carolina.
We're continuing to PRAY for Damar Hamlin!!

AN EXCITING FOOTBALL GAME - A TRAGIC BLOW TO THE HEART & MEETING WITH A VERY DEAR OLD FRIEND...
Yesterday was filled with "Roller Coaster Emotions"!
After the game, I headed over to my best friend's home, Joe Polozola who lives in near-by Longwood, FL.
Joe introduced me to Jesus over 50 years ago, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
Joe and I meet fairly regularly and the fellowship is rich, as we recall the AMAZING GRACE that brought me to Jesus.
It was early in the first quarter when we saw Damar Hamlin go down.
We like so many waited for him to get up. He did not. It appears that he suffered a massive heart attack right before our eyes. WE IMMEDIATELY PRAYED & continue to do so for Damar to recover.

So, we ask you to join us in PRAYER for Damar and his family.

A FOGGY MORNING.....WHERE'S RUDOLPH?
Departed the "Retreat Cabin" early yesterday morning. A lot of heavy fog as I worked my way out of the Mountains of East TN.
The rest of the 12 journey went smooth with no major delays along the way.
Pulled into my son, Christian's lovely home around 9:30 pm. Had a lovely meal and called it a day.
Where's Rudolph??
Christian and Ann Marie have a lovely home and I'm so proud of them for their deep dedication to our Lord Jesus.
Yes, I'm pulling for my LSU Tigers, who had a remarkably good season with their new Coach Brian Kelly. He's doing a good job and the team had some incredible victories this year.
BTW, anytime you beat Alabama, it's a good season!
Well, enough of all of that. Just want you know how much I appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

2023 IS HERE!
Looking back on 2022, we find some sad and tragic events. Russia invaded Ukraine and now, the world is teetering on the precipice of Nuclear War!
In Haiti, in the midst of a terrible Cholera outbreak, renegade Gangs are ruling the streets and stopping relief agencies from bringing life-giving help to the suffering and dying.
Covid -19, and it's variants are breaking out in China and other parts of the world.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!!
We PRAY for God's Peace to sweep over the Earth this New Year!
Cindy prepared an amazing Feast here at the "Retreat Cabin" yesterday. What a lovely and delicious way to bring in the New Year!
Well, Cindy and I are up early this morning. I'm doing a final pack and filling my coffee thermos and about to "Hit the Road" for Florida.
While in Florida, I'll be in exciting meetings discussing the expansion of Air Mobile. Will write more on that later.
For now, it's time to head out the door for the 12 hour drive down to Florida.

HERE COMES 2023!!
On this lovely New Years Eve, at the glorious "Retreat Cabin", my Cindy is baking and cooking a feast!
So glad, and very RELIEVED to have all of our water systems which were damaged in the EXTREME COLD, REPAIRED!!!
One often does not appreciate having water readily available until one loses it. THANKS to major help from Yahn, our systems are all back together and working beautifully.
Going to be a very good game and I say....GEAUX TIGERS"!!
Who knows, may even fly another "Mission" while down in Florida. The Lord knows!!
One thing is for sure....2023 IS GOING TO BE QUITE A YEAR!!!

TRUST YOUR INSTRUMENTS....BUT VERIFY!
If indeed, these 2 gauges were correct, then our entire system was in danger of blowing apart.
The thing that made this challenging, was that 2 instruments read very high.
Hmmmm, but, as we checked the outflow at the faucets, all appeared to be normal.
So....we had 2 instruments FAIL and the actual pressure was quite NORMAL.
What happened was that the cold caused the pressure instruments to clog up with ice and read very high and actually "stick".
When we removed the instruments, and I held them in my hand, they still read HIGH, sure fire indications of total instrument failure.
So, as a famous U.S. President wisely said...."TRUST BUT....VERIFY!"
Looks like today, we'll put the final PEX into place and have all systems working.
Good to have things getting back to normal at our beloved "Retreat Cabin".

PVC AGAINST VERY COLD....PVC LOSES
Even though we had insulated our pipes, that wicked SUPER COLD went through the insulation and literally shattered many of our pipes.
Well, the good news is....we know where our weak points are located.
In this way, when the next ELLIOTT (Very WICKED Winter Storm) comes along...we'll be better prepared.
Little delay in posting....had to go Lowes to get more plumbing supplies.
We're making good progress and hope to have everything back together by the end of the day.

BACK TO THE "FROZEN" RETREAT CABIN....
At midnight, Cindy, Ari, I (& our 3 little dogs & kitten) rolled up to our beloved "Retreat Cabin".
It's good to be home but....we've got to immediately deal with our frozen pipes.
Yahn, our Great Water Mule (and so much more), began the process of getting our water flowing through very cold pipes.
It's just a trickle now, and we'll be working on getting it back to full flow today.
It's good to be home!!

THE DAY AFTER....CHRISTMAS
What a lovely time we've had with our Kids & Grand-kids! So glad we were able to get down "South" and be with them.
Sunny Florida was quite sunny but very COLD for Floridians. Temps hovered in the 30's and we even saw the most tiny little snow flakes.
Today, we're just wrapping up some details and we hope to be heading home tomorrow.

CHRISTMAS DAY....
Cindy and I have been so busy and caught up in the excitement with our Kids & Grand-Kids that we often forgot to take pictures.
On Thursday evening, we celebrated Christmas with Cherie, Kyle and their 4 children.
We were joined by Christian and Ann Marie and their 3 children and as I said, completely forgot to take any pictures.
It was a joyous time of gift exchange and games and a lot laughter and fun.
On Friday, we just "chilled out", (LITERALLY) when the temperature in Cocoa Beach just touched freezing. It was good to just rest.
On Saturday, Christmas Eve, we had the great joy of attending East Coast Viera Church, where Christian is Associate Pastor.
This morning, we'll be attending Church with our Redeemer Family in Titusville.
I can't begin to tell you how good it is to be with Family while Celebrating the Greatest Gift of all time, our Lord Jesus!!

We finally rolled into our sweet little Air BnB in Cocoa Beach around midnight (14 hours later).
It was a long drive with a couple of accidents slowing us down but....we made it safe & sound.

While on a fuel stop, somewhere in South Carolina, Benjie and I did a bit of "Howling"....one of Benjie's specialties.
We have a lazy day today, just resting and enjoying famous "Cocoa Beach".
We'll be gathering with Family tomorrow and we're looking forward to that.
BTW, it's going to be quite chilly tonight, getting close to freezing even here in "Sunny Florida".

DEEP FREEZE COMING.....
Fortunately, Cindy, Ari, I and our dogs & kitten will be heading south to enjoy Christmas in Sunny Florida with our Kids and Grand-Kids.
We have dear friends who will be taking care of our horses, donkeys & ducks here at the "Retreat Cabin".
Truth is....having grown up in Louisiana (where it rarely snows), I rather enjoy the COLD & SNOW (to some degree). A good wood stove sure helps!!
Now Cindy, on the other hand, who grew up in COLD Massachusetts, can take or leave the SNOW & COLD.
But a warm Christmas with Family in Florida, is also quite inviting. So....we'll just enjoy it!
As we scan back over 2022, we've had some incredible opportunities to bring CLEAN WATER to THIRSTY Folks in Ukraine and Haiti. Both of these countries have been DEVASTATED BY WAR & GANGS!
Also have been able to PREACH THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS which is also a great JOY!
New "Missions" are cropping up as I type this Rambling Blog. 2023 is going to be a VERY BUSY YEAR for Air Mobile!!
But, in the meantime, today we'll be packing and getting ready to head South & enjoy Christmas with our Family.

19 DEGREES....BRRRRRR
Oh yes, it's on very cold mornings like this that we're so THANKFUL for our old wood stove!
We've got an excellent supply of cut & split firewood and plenty of fallen trees on our "Retreat Farm" to keep the ability to stay warm and cook food "in style"!
It's the simple things in life for which we're so appreciative.
Please bare with us for going on and on about the "Old Wood Stove". It's such and important and lovely part of our life up here at the "Retreat Cabin".
We're getting ready for our trip down south to Florida to be with our Kids and Grand-kids for Christmas. We'll hit the road on Wednesday morning. We're looking forward to the journey.
In the meantime, we're staying warm and enjoying life here at the "Retreat Cabin".

THE FINE ART OF "CHILLING OUT" & STAYING WARM....
It is the simple things in life that bring such satisfaction. An old 'wood stove' chilly morning and plenty of spilt firewood makes for a lovely time.
Cindy and I so enjoy sipping our coffee and gazing at the old wood stove and the beautiful shapes and colors in the early hours of the morning.
What a nice way to start the day. We're getting ready for Church this morning and again, we're so THANKFUL to be able to go to Church and WORSHIP GOD FREELY!
May we never take it for granted!! It truly is a GIFT FROM GOD!!

DUCK EXPANSION PLANS.....
This morning, while enjoying our first cup of coffee and the lovely wood stove burn, Cindy and I discussed how to enhance our "Duck Community".
First of all, our ducks are producing like crazy. Duck eggs are absolutely delicious and very healthful.
Looks like, in the spring, we're going to enlarge the "Duck community" and actually sell duck eggs and fertilized duck eggs.
Ducks are just wonderful creatures and so much fun to watch. They love a nice routine and reward us with so many eggs.
Oh, well, thought I'd share our "Duck Plans" with you.
So, from the "Retreat Cabin", we're just enjoying a peaceful time and next week, we'll head down to Florida to be with our Kids & Grand Kids.
We'll be launching our next "Missions" soon enough. For now, we'll just "chill" and stay warm.

JUST GLAD TO BE HOME.....
On this cold morning, I'm just so glad to be home. Cindy and I are looking forward to spending Christmas in Florida with our kids and grand-kids.
So THANKFUL for the successful "Mission" to Haiti. Glad we could get in and out without incident.
Today, we're busy with Chores and taking care of our critters.
The "Next Mission" will come soon enough. For now, we're simply enjoying our "Retreat Cabin" and having a bit of a rest.

"BREAK" REPAIRED....
It was a relief to get the fiber optic line repaired. This led us to a few other "weak" links in our internet system.
I must admit, the few days we had with very limited Internet, though a bit stressful, was quite pleasant.
Oh well, we're back on-line now and I have a lot of work to do.

GETTING BY.....
Cindy has been going to town to get a signal a couple of times a day to check for messages.
It appears that the fiber optic line has a break. Today (day 7)....we may be getting it repaired.
It's amazing how much we depend upon the Internet. I'm just glad that we have a "hot spot" in town and can "get by" with a little bit of a signal.
BTW, the lack of internet takes out our landline and TV. We're spending more time watching the fire in the old wood stove and reading novels.

OUT OF HAITI....
Yesterday, Dave and I headed to the airport. Now, normally, this would be a "non-event".
However, just traveling to the airport now a days poses a serious potential threat.
For you see, GANGS control many of the roads and especially those near, and to the airport. We're THANKFUL to have arrived at the airport safe and sound.
Dave flew left seat this leg back to the U.S. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate this friend and great pilot. He has joined me on "Missions" all over the world!
We climbed to 14,500' and settled down to a lovely flight over the stunning Caribbean Sea.
Well, it's good to back in the good old USA. I'll be picking up the Little Red Trailer at the Titusville airport and heading to the "Retreat Cabin" and my Cindy in the Mountains of East TN.

PRAISE GOD for a successful flight into Haiti. We've been able to deliver critical supplies. We've also delivered 6 Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers.
We're THANKFUL for our Lord's Grace and Wisdom and Protection!
Yesterday, we had in-depth meetings with organizations that are working in areas of Haiti where CHOLERA has broken out.
The political turmoil caused by GANGS controlling access is making DELIVERY of CRITICAL SUPPLIES & MEDICINE & CLEAN WATER VERY DIFFICULT & DANGEROUS!

SMOOTH FLIGHT...LANDED IN HAITI - SAFE!!
Dave topped off the Oxygen, as we'd be flying at 15,000+'.
The WX was forecast to be good so...after a thorough pre-flight, we pushed the throttles forward and headed to Haiti.
Upon landing, we quickly cleared Customs & Immigration and unloaded our precious cargo of supplies and 6 Air Mobile Rescuers.
I'll not post any photos of the unloading or who received the precious cargo...for Security Reasons.
Haiti is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!! now with massive Gang activity.
BTW, I've known DG Dumas for over 30 years. He's also a pilot and flew Cessna O-2 (same as the Little Donkey). We have a strong "Pilot Friendship".
I've been working with OFNAC for years helping to keep the Air Traffic Communication (ATC) system working.
The terrible GANG activity is effecting every aspect of Haiti life and we're working hard to keep the ATC systems working.
As never before, PLEASE PRAY FOR HAITI during these very dark hours!!

It was a distinct privilege to share the Air Mobile Rescuer with the staff and students of Heritage High School in Palm Bay, FL yesterday.
What a JOY! These students were excellent, very respectful and very smart!

A SUCCESSFUL TEST FLIGHT....
The Test Flights were successful and I'm pleased to say that "The Little Donkey" is READY TO GO!
We're PRAYING for our Lord's direction.
But this afternoon, Dave and I will be speaking at Heritage High School in Palm Bay where we'll be demonstrating the amazing Air Mobile Rescuer.
We'll be explaining how "Simple Math & Science", when applied properly can save COUNTLESS LIVES!
Oh, I love my job and I love telling the story of how important it is to bring CLEAN WATER to thirsty people!
I love sharing the story with young people. I hope they will be inspired to do great things and save many lives!!
This morning I have an appointment with my Florida Doctor, Steve Badolato.
Well, it's time to head out to see Dr. Steve and then meet with several hundred students and share the incredible Air Mobile Rescuer.

The Lesson went just fine and my class was patient and understanding.
Always be READY to Preach the Gospel and Proclaim His Grace!!
So, today we're moving closer and closer to launching our "Next Mission".

OOOPS!
Woke up, put on the coffee and lit the fire in the old woodstove.
Cindy and I enjoyed watching the fire, just like an old movie.
As I went to get my Bible for church, it hit me. I had been invited to lead the Sunday School Bible Lesson THIS MORNING.
Thus, this short, sweet little "blog". I've got to prepare my message to coincide with the lesson laid out.
So, I'll wrap up this "blog" and head to church and ask our Lord to give me insight into His Precious Word.
BTW, our Study this morning is John 1...."In the Beginning".

WHERE TO NEXT?
There are such great needs around the world and many go back to the need for CLEAN WATER, we're PREPARING to be READY to GO.
Often, the areas of need are controlled by corrupt & violent leaders and it is difficult to get in and bring the help that innocent victims need.
Often, the way into these areas are quite dangerous and yet, as our Lord leads, we seek His wisdom and direction to know WHERE TO GO & WHEN TO GO.
So, on this chilly morning in the Mountains of East TN, Cindy and I sip coffee in front of our trusty old woodstove and PRAY for our Lord's Guidance for the days ahead.
BTW, this time at home at the "Retreat Cabin" has given me the opportunity to take care of some medical issues. I'm THANKFUL for this time. We PRAY for our Lord's continued healing!

BACK TO BASICS....
You know, on chilly mornings (24 degrees), it's nice to be able to stay warm. Thus, the "Old Woodstove" does the trick.
It's simple to operate. The Internet is not necessary and we have a lot of firewood.
LET THE COLD WINDS BLOW!!
So, on this chilly morning, it's time to get to work and come in and get warm and enjoy the "Old Woodstove Movie" while we thaw.
