THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES....NOVEMBER 2015

11-27-15 Thursday 6:11AM (U.S. Eastern Time) - Cocoa, FL - Air Mobile Home Base - Report submitted by: Air Mobile Joe

WHO NEEDS "BLACK FRIDAY"

Yes, things are a bit crazy as shoppers looking for great deals wait in long lines and in some cases even days for the doors to open on "Black Friday".

Well....we have a great solution to those living here in East Central Florida....come to our Incredible International Bazaar on Saturday, December 5th!  There, that was 'EASY'

Not only will we have great deals, but this will be for a great cause!  "Hunger Is Not A Game" is a very serious issue, indeed!

So, if you come to our event, you'll be able to get some beautiful gifts from India, the Philippines, Brazil, Honduras, Haiti, Mexico, Japan, France and beyond.  The list of countries represented is still growing and....

Every country represented has a story.  For example, India!  Did you know that 3000 children die from hunger EVERY DAY in India??  This is staggering and...we can do something about it!  Air Mobile is putting together a sustainable feeding program that will give 3000 children per day a nutritious meal that will actually "reverse malnutrition".  Praise God!

And, as you know, Air Mobile already has 1000+ life-saving water purifiers in 47 countries.  This grand event will help us to GO and bring clean water to the thirsty and food to the hungry.

Remember the Words of Jesus...."I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me to drink...when you've done it unto the least of these, my Brethren, you've done it unto Me".  When we do this, we bring JOY TO JESUS!

So, as you ponder your strategy for Christmas gifts, consider coming to our "Extreme Home" on December 5th from 3:00pm - 9:00pm for a lovely evening of great fellowship, wonderful shopping and delicious food!  Here's are the details - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

We trust you had a blessed Thanksgiving!  We had Peter and Angelica over and it was just a wonderful day of good food and thanksgiving!!

Again, we have so much for which to be THANKFUL!  And....we're so THANKFUL for you, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

THANKSGIVING....UPDATE

After getting that beautiful 22 pound turkey into the oven (read on down for that "early morning report"), Cindy and I went back to bed.  I was awakened by a gentle rain shower.

Was thinking of all the things for which to be THANKFUL!  While coming down stairs for that 1st cup of coffee (Cindy and I are VERY thankful for that), my eye caught an awesome rainbow right over our chicken coop.

IT IS A GOOD THING, TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD!!

Oh Folks, my heart is just overwhelmed by the goodness of God.

Today, we'll have a wonderful Thanksgiving Celebration at our home.  Cindy and Ariana will be here, along with Peter and Angelica.  We've invited, George, a great Air Mobile volunteer and recent widower, to join us.  Our other children are spread out all over the place.  We're so THANKFUL for our family!!

May you have an extremely blessed THANKSGIVING!  And as always, THANK YOU for your faithful and greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

THANKSGIVING!  SO MUCH FOR WHICH TO BE THANKFUL!!

Cindy & I set the alarm for 4:00am as we have a 22 pound turkey(!) and it requires 20 minutes per pound.  So....getting that big bird in the oven by 5:00am means a 1:00pm Thanksgiving Dinner.  Thus, the early morning blog.

Now, the turkey's in the oven and we're going back to sleep.  Will write more in a couple of hours.  Hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving!

RUSSIAN REVENGE....

Putin has launched a major attack on "Syrian Rebels" in the zone where the Russian Jet was shot down.

This could well be, "Round One" of a major escalation in this volatile region.  Again, we PRAY!  Here's more - PUTIN POUNDS "REBELS"

This is very "complicated stuff".  It's hard to know who are the bad guys here.  I was up early this morning and reading story after story and still don't know.  Then, I just had to go the Bible and read Proverbs to settle my spirit.

I also read Ezekiel 38 about Gog of Magog (Russia).  Yes, we're tracking this situation closely and above all, PRAYING!

No, I haven't quite "figured out" where we are on the Biblical / Prophetic Timeline, but it is remarkable that the Prophet (Ezekiel) thousands of years ago "painted this picture".  Russia is certainly getting into position to fulfill the prophesies spoken by Ezekiel.

BTW, if you've never read Ezekiel 38, or haven't read it lately, here's a link.  It's quite "eye opening"! - EZEKIEL 38 NKJV

So, having taken a bit of an "Eschatological" (study of the 'end times') journey this morning, it's time to get ready to head to the airport and get on with this day that Lord has made.

And yesterday, received a call from Vicki at the Alternative Pregnancy Center (APC) to come and pick up a beautiful load of baby food, diapers and other goodies for the orphans in Haiti.  We so appreciate the generosity and kindness from Vicki and the APC!!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

SABERS RATTLE....

A Russian jet fighter (SU-24) was shot down over the Turkish - Syrian Border early this morning.  Turkey states that the Jet was in Turkish airspace and was warned multiple times and Russia denies it was in Turkish Airspace.

The war of words is raging and we teeter on the edge of war.  Time to PRAY!  Here's more - PUTIN: DOWNING OF RUSSIAN PLANE A "STAB IN THE BACK"

We don't know where these extraordinary events will lead, but tensions are extremely high.  An Emergency NATO meeting has been called and Turkey will explain the reasons for the "shoot down" of the Russian Jet.  We are following these events very closely and PRAYING for wisdom to prevail!

I'm reminded of Matthew 24 where Jesus tells us what "Signs" will precede His Second Coming..."Wars & Rumors of Wars"!

If you haven't read Matthew 24 lately, here's a link to the Chapter and you don't even have to go find your Bible.  You can read the Chapter in about 5-10 minutes and hear what Jesus had to say about what "Signs" we would see.  MATTHEW 24

Now, I'm not saying WAR is necessarily going to "Break Out" today or even tomorrow.  It's just that tensions are high and emotions are very intense.  Yes, these are perilous times.

We are told to PRAY for our leaders.  I was reading in Proverbs 24 today and came across this Scripture...."and in the multitude of counsellors, there is safety"!
So, as we go forth into this day, we PRAY for our leaders and pray for our Lord to lead us and guide us each step of the way!  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A LITTLE BIT OF "SANITY" COMING OUT OF DC

I was shocked to read this story about the DC Police Chief, Cathy Lanier, giving advice regarding an "Active Shooter".

She was right to say it is "counter-intuitive" to the general advice given.  Here's the story - "IT'S THE BEST OPTION FOR SAVING LIVES"

NOTE:  BE SURE TO WATCH THE VIDEO INTERVIEW!

These are certainly dangerous and perilous times and I'm reminded of a Scripture....I Peter 5:8.

Even though the devil roars and devours, we serve the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.  "Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world"!

As you may know, I've written a book titled "Run To The Roar".  When we realize the Power in the Name of Jesus, we can face the enemy and win the victory!

BTW, on December 5th I will be signing the book and offering it for any donation to help Air Mobile to feed the hungry and bring clean water to the thirsty.  Now, that is a noble mission of SAVING LIVES!

Just a reminder of our upcoming event, "Hunger is not a Game".  We sure hope you can join us.  There will be great Christmas gifts from around the world, delicious food and wonderful fellowship.  Here are the details: "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE!

So, it's Monday and a new week and we're preparing for our "Next Mission".  We're so THANKFUL to you for your precious prayer, love and support!

52 YEARS AGO TODAY...

John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 and it seems the story is slowly being lost & forgotten.  I had to do a "Google" search to find just a few stories, because most "News" sources didn't even mention it.

I certainly remember where I was when the tragic news was announced and....I'm sure some of you (who are of a certain qualifying age) remember where you were.  It was a sad day!

BTW, according to Wikipedia, a 2013 Poll of Americans shows that 60% still believe that there was an additional gunman.  We may never know the truth.  WIKIPEDIA: ASSASSINATION OF JOHN F. KENNEDY

Oh, I'd like to THANK YOU for praying for my friend, Jason, yesterday.  The Medical Procedure could not have gone any better.

The "Bradenton, FL Expedition" conducted by Remote Area Medical (R.A.M.) was absolutely amazing.  Hundreds of folks received free medical care thanks to the skill and generosity of the R.A.M. Team of volunteers!

Jason received much needed care, and it was done by a great medical team and it didn't cost him one cent.  THANK YOU Stan Brock and R.A.M.!!

It's always good to see Stan.  I'm so glad that our Lord brought our paths together in Haiti years ago!!

Today, our Air Mobile Team will be heading to the Hospital in Orlando to conduct 3 Services to the Adolescent, the Acute Care and the Adult Patients.

It's  such a joy to share the GOOD NEWS of JESUS with those who are hurting and need a touch from God!!

THANK YOU again for your precious and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

PS - Just a reminder of our "Hunger is NOT a Game" event at our home on December 5th from 3:00pm - 9:00pm.

We'll be having a wonderful "INTERNATIONAL BAZAAR" & DELICIOUS FOOD & SUPER FELLOWSHIP!  Hope you can make it!!  Here are more details - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

FREE SURGERY FOR A FRIEND

I never cease to marvel at how our Lord "connects the dots"!  I have a dear friend, Stan Brock of Remote Area Medical (R.A.M.), who has dedicated his life to helping those who need medical care.

Oh, it's a long story of how a young man (Stan) almost died in the a very remote area of Guyana.  Now, all these years later, Stan helps others who are "remote" mainly due to lack of finances.  To date, Stan has helped hundreds of thousands get help.

Well, it just so happens that I know another young man (Jason) who is working so hard and yet due to extreme family medical difficulties (twin brother had stroke / mother is paraplegic)  has been unable to get vital surgery that he personally needs.  This morning, that is all about to change!

I'm up at 2:00am getting ready to drive my friend across the state to get FREE surgery thanks to Stan and Remote Area Medical!

PLEASE PRAY that the surgery goes well and that we have a safe journey across the state this morning.  We just can't thank Stan and R.A.M. enough for their kindness and generosity!  BTW, we've worked with R.A.M. all over the world.

It's time for me to top off the old Coffee thermos and hit the road.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

JOHN 10:10

Jesus has come "That we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly".

As I look at the world and all that is happening, there is death and hatred and destruction in so many places.

The Message of the Gospel (Good News) is that Jesus loves us and gave His life for us.  May we ever PROCLAIM the GOOD NEWS!

It is such a blessing to be able to bring clean water to the thirsty and food to the hungry and share the Love of God!  I can't even begin to tell you how blessed Cindy and I are to be able to do this....and how THANKFUL we are to have your love, prayer and support!!

Now, more than ever, we can see that the world needs Jesus and His love.  In reflecting on the horror that just happened in Paris and even now, as I write this blog, 170 hostages are being held in Mali and killed one by one. There is such a clear difference between Radical Islamic Extremists and Christianity!

Here's more on this ongoing attack - ISLAMIC EXTREMIST ATTACK HOTEL IN MALI'S CAPITAL  Please PRAY for the hostages!

Today, we're moving toward our "next mission".  We simply want to be where our Lord wants us to be, when He wants us there.  Again, we THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support.    God bless!!

PS - If you're in this area of Central Florida, we hope that you'll be able to join us on December 5th.  Great Christmas Shopping, Great Food, Great Fellowship & Great Cause!  Here's more - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

THE LONG JOURNEY TO CUBA....HAS BEGUN

Even though "Diplomatic Relations" between the U.S. & Cuba have "softened" a bit, it's still a great challenge to fly a private aircraft into Cuba and minister the Gospel.  But.....it can be done!

Yesterday, Cindy and I had an amazing meeting with Bob and Jane of CTN (Christian Television Network), a Cuban American, Louis (Restaurant owner), Pastor Steve & his wife Ellen and Pilot, "Finky".  It was quite a group sitting around that table!

Louis is a "legend" in the Cuban Community and his Restaurant, the CapdeVilas at La Teresita is clearly the #1 Cuban Restaurant in all of Tampa Bay.

Not only was the food insanely good, but Louis is a "gold mine" of information about Cuba.  He has planted MANY churches there and they are thriving!

For hours, we sat around that table and shared miraculous stories of God's Awesome Power and divine intervention again and again.  We also listened as Louis told us about an incredible Revival that has broken out in Cuba.

The Embargo is still in force, but travel has "loosened" up a bit.  Our goal is to make an exploratory trip to Cuba in the Little Donkey.

Prior to driving to Tampa yesterday morning, I spent several hours on the phone with the U.S. Treasury Department finding out just what is required to fly a private plane to Cuba.  There are still many "hoops" to jump through.

Yesterday, we began with the MOST IMPORTANT STEP:  PRAYER!  We have all agreed to seek the direction of the Holy Spirit and stay in close touch with one another.  We don't know when this first flight will happen, but by faith, IT WILL HAPPEN!!

After driving the 300 mile round trip to Tampa, we got home yesterday evening and I opened up the computer and continued my study of the steps to make that first flight.  It will be  a long and winding road, but we're committed to GO!

BTW, we're adding CUBA to our Countries represented in our GRAND INTERNATIONAL BAZAAR that will be held here at our home on December 5th from 3:00pm to 9:00pm.

After drinking delicious Cuban "Cafe' Con Leche" at the La Teresita yesterday, we had to buy enough to share with you!

We've invited Louis to come on over on the 5th and bring some more of this delicious Cuban Blend cafe' to share with you!

We hope you can make it on December 5th and have a cup of Cafe' Con Leche with us or have a Cafe' Au Lait in our French Pastry Cafe'.

At any rate, it's going to be good.  Here's more info on this great upcoming event that will help us to reach out to the hungry and thirsty around the world!! "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

Time to get on with this day and prepare for our 'next mission' wherever that might be.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious and powerful prayer, love and support!!

LUNCH WITH DEAR FRIENDS & PLANNING A FLITE TO.....CUBA

Many years ago, Bob D'Andrea (President Christian Television Network) and I made an historic flight into Cuba.

Through a series of indisputable miracles, we got the "Jesus Film" (the first ever) into Cuba.  Oh, we have fond memories of that incredible flight, filled with Divine Interventions.

BTW, the entire "Cuba - Jesus Film Mission" is told in my book, "Run To The Roar" (available on-line and beyond).  The story truly is remarkable!

Recently, Bob called me and asked...."When are we going back to Cuba?".  My response, "better do it soon...as we're not getting any younger".  We both chuckled.

Well, today Bob and Jane will be having lunch with Cindy and me, at a well known Cuban Restaurant in Tampa, to lay the groundwork for...another "Mission to Cuba".

These flights are complicated and take a lot of planning.  But....a long journey begins with the "first step".  Today, we're making that "first step"!

Yesterday, Cindy and I had a wonderful interview with Carol Henry and Donna Long on WPIO.

We were able to share our hearts about Air Mobile and our quest to bring clean water and food to the thirsty and hungry and to share the love of Jesus.

We've known Donna and Carol for many years and we've seen our Lord move so many times with His miraculous power and grace!

At the end of the day, Cindy and I met with Jennifer, a local teacher who has a heart for missions and specifically for Honduras.

Several years ago, we placed an Air Mobile Rescuer in an orphanage in Honduras.  That wonderful machine is producing clean water every day for those orphans.

Yesterday,we were glad to provide Jennifer with extra filters and components to keep that clean water flowing.

Well, we have a bit of driving to do today (Tampa) and it's time to get ready to hit the road.  As always, THANK YOU for your vital and precious prayer, love and support!!

FRIENDS

Today, Cindy and I will be on the "Air" (WPIO 89.3 - Titusville at noon) with our dear friends Donna Long and Carol Henry.  We've known Donna & Carol for years and we're always thankful to be able to tell our story.

As you know, we've got a wonderful event coming up on December 5th from 3:00-9:00pm, to help us to GO and feed hungry children and bring them clean water.

Folks, again, we're just so humbled and grateful to have "Friends" who come along beside us and help us to help others.

If you're in this area of Central Florida, we hope that you'll be able to join us on December 5th.  Great Christmas Shopping, Great Food & Great Fellowship!  Here's more - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

We just found out moments ago, that there has been major flooding in the very area of India that we want to bring food and clean water.  Here's more - INDIA DEPLOYS TROOPS IN SOUTH AS FLOODS KILL DOZENS

We thank God that we've already begun gathering help for those folks that are suffering.  Yes, "Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops"!

Well, it's time to head to the Radio Station to be with Donna and Carol. As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

NEW NAMES WRITTEN DOWN IN HEAVEN...

As you know, we conduct 3 services every single Sunday at a hospital in Orlando.  Rarely, do we give details of this outreach (Confidentiality Rules), but I must share a report with you.

Recently, we were encouraged by Lenny, our good friend and Pastor of Banana River Baptist Church, to join together with him to believe for 1000 new names to be written down in heaven, in our area, by the end of the year.  Lenny's enthusiasm and love for the lost is contagious.

Over the last 18 years, only our Lord knows how many have accepted Him as their Savior in our Orlando hospital outreach.

But, since that "challenge" from Lenny, we've been keeping count.  Yesterday, we saw 9 new names written down in Heaven at the hospital.  PRAISE GOD!!  THANK YOU Lenny, for issuing that "Challenge".  "Truly, the fields are white unto harvest"!!

After our services yesterday, my dear cousin, Laura and her husband Mark drove over from Tampa to have dinner with us.  Laura & Mark are  major PRAYER WARRIORS for Air Mobile and have stood faithfully with us for many years.

They wanted to see the Little Donkey, so I showed the sweet little bird to them.  We were so blessed spending the afternoon with them.  Again, where would we be without so many who stand with us?

BTW, you can see how the Little Donkey is all "masked" and getting ready for some serious "touch-up" paint and striping.  Again, THANKS for Volunteers (Yahn & Lee) who love our ministry and help us in so many ways!

Our GRAND INTERNATIONAL BAZAAR will soon be here (December 5 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm).  We hope you can make it.

You'll be able to pick up some lovely Christmas Gifts and have delectable culinary experiences, including our French Pastry Shop.  We'll have treats from all over the world.  This is going to be fun event!!

BTW, if you have some crafts that you make or have a business, consider coming and setting up a booth.  You can make some extra money and help us to bring food to the hungry and clean water to the thirsty, a true Win-Win-Win deal!

Here are more details on this great event - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

Oh, I want you to know that I feel much better.  Was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday, but after ministering the Good News of Jesus at the hospital and witnessing the "Miracle" of Names being written down in Heaven, I feel much better.

And....as I always say, THANK YOU for your extremely appreciated prayer, love and support!!

IN THE AFTERMATH.....

French President Hollande declares war on ISIS, along with British Prime Minister Cameron... however, the Obama Administration vows to ACCELERATE Syrian Refugee Admission.

What will really happen??  That is the question.  Here's more - FRANCE PROMISES 'MERCILESS' RESPONSE TO ATTACKS

Do we really have the ability to, "not contain" but "destroy" ISIS?  I believe that we do, and that is a noble battle!  OBAMA UNDER FIRE FOR SAYING THAT ISIS IS "CONTAINED" JUST HOURS BEFORE THE ATTACKS IN PARIS

As ISIS claimed responsibility for this act of terror, they called it a "Miracle".  I call it a "Massacre", period!  Such insane and cruel and deranged thinking is just plain EVIL!

Folks, I must admit, this whole thing has my blood boiling and I need to remember the Words of Jesus that I shared with you yesterday...John 16:33.

So, as I run to Jesus and ask Him to help me, my anger begins to subside and I, again pray for  the victims and the wounded and world Leaders who are planning their response to this evil attack of murder and carnage.

I'm also reminded of that wonderful movie, "War Room".  Our PRAYERS are very powerful in Christ and "avail much"!

On this Sunday morning, I'm feeling a bit under the weather, more tired than anything.  Cindy and Ariana will go to church and then come pick me up so that we can conduct our 3 Services in the Orlando Hospital (to the Adolescents, the Adults and the Acute Care patients).

As always, THANK YOU for your precious and greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

PARIS ATTACKED!!  120++ DEAD, HUNDREDS WOUNDED

Explosions, gunshots and screams filled the air.  Multiple attacks and shouts of "Allah Akbar" were heard.  ISIS has claimed credit for this brutal, deadly surprise Paris attacks!
Here's more - ISIS CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR PARIS ATTACKS

Our PRAYERS go out to those who have lost loved ones and those who have been wounded.

Earlier, just before the attack, Obama claimed that ISIS (ISIL, if you're part of the Administration) IS CONTAINED!  So much for that narrative!

Here's that story - OBAMA: ISIL IS NOT GETTING STRONGER...WE HAVE CONTAINED THEM

Meanwhile, Parisians line up to donate blood for the wounded.  And the "War" rages on -  This article shows the "heart of the attackers" -  ISIS CLAIMS PARIS ATTACKS: "YOU WILL NOT LIVE IN PEACE"

I'm reminded of the verse in John 16:33....JESUS IS OUR PEACE!!

One thing is for sure, as another day passes, we are just one day closer to 2nd Coming of our Lord Jesus.

Today, we'll be working on the Little Donkey, touching up the paint job and doing a routine inspection.  We're preparing for our "Next Mission" wherever that might be.

As always, and I know that I say this every day, but mean it from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious and vital prayer, love and support!!

REMEMBER "JIHADI JOHN"???

Just saw this "news flash", Jihadi John "Evaporated".  I wonder if it is true.

The guy whose image meant mindless, cruel executions of innocent souls is, according to this report..."No More".  Again, I just hope it is true!

Here's the story - JIHADI JOHN BELIEVED KILLED (EVAPORATED) IN FLAWLESS U.S. AIRSTRIKE

On this Friday 13th, this story on "Jihadi John" is good news in the fight against ISIS.

In reading this story, I went to my daily reading in Proverbs 13 and found this verse, "The light of the righteous rejoices, but the lamp of the wicked will be put out".

There is certainly evil in this world and we can only PRAY for our Lord's return to the earth.  Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

As I ponder our Lord Jesus this morning, I'm reminded of the John 10:10, "The thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy, I (Jesus) have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly"!  My simple admonition is:  CHOOSE JESUS!

Today, we're moving forward with our "Incredible International Bazaar"  on December 5th to help bring food and clean water to the hungry and thirsty.  Hope you can make it.

BTW, if you have some crafts that you make, consider coming and setting up a booth.  You can make some extra money and help us to bring food to the hungry and clean water to the thirsty, a true Win-Win-Win deal.

I believe that when we do this, we bring a smile to the face of Jesus.  I'm also reminded of the Words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35 & 40.

Time to get on with this day that our Lord has made.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

21 YEARS AGO TODAY....

My Cindy said "I do", and so did I.  Here we are, 21 years later, more in love than ever.  I PRAISE GOD for bringing this precious lady into my life.

If I had the opportunity to exercise that decision 1 million times+, I'd do so each and every time.  I love you, Cindy!!

The Lord has brought this precious lady of God into my life and together we have been able to travel the world and bring the Good News of Jesus and help to the suffering.

Often, when a disaster hits, it is Cindy who is leading the charge to "GO" and share the love of God to those who so desperately need help.  Our Lord could not have brought a better partner to me.  All I can say is...."Thank you, Jesus"!

There is so much more that I could say, but this little 2 minute video, that was prepared by the Doctors Goodwill Foundation (DGF), does such a good job of just telling our story - here it is - JOE & CINDY HURSTON - 2015 GOODWILL AMBASSADORS

We don't have anything special planned today, but....we're working on a nice "Get Away" most likely on a Buddy Pass and may even make it to Paris one day.  We can only dream.

So, today, have a Doctor's appointment and then getting ready for the "Next Mission"...wherever that might be.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

AN OFFER....I COULDN'T REFUSE

Several weeks ago, Air Mobile had a display set up at a park in Titusville demonstrating the Rescuer.  Steve, a long-time friend passed by and....made me an "Offer" I couldn't refuse.

He's starting a new business (brave soul) of deep cleaning equipment, i.e. trucks / planes / etc.  The system uses steam and very, very little water.  I was intrigued.  Well, Steve offered to clean the Little Donkey at NO CHARGE just to show us how well his system worked.

I gladly accepted his offer and yesterday, his Team of Cleaning Experts showed up at our hangar.  BTW, who could refuse these guys!

They're very serious about their work and.... they do a great job!

I watched them take some of the dirtiest parts of the Little Donkey and with the burst of steam loosen the grit and grime right off.

At the end of job, these guys had used LESS THAN A GALLON OF WATER!

A regular cleaning job would have used well over 100 gallons of water!  I was amazed at the significant  environmental benefit of this remarkable system...and the Little Donkey has never looked better!!

After they gave us this gift (of a very clean little airplane), I decided to reciprocate and give them a ride in the Little Donkey.  These are some big guys, but they "squeezed" in and put on their seat belts.

We taxied out for a quick run down the Space Shuttle landing strip just across the river from our airport.

The Little Donkey rolled about 700 feet and leaped into the air.  We made the quick run to the long Shuttle Landing Strip (15,000 feet).

The visibility was pretty bad, but we managed to fly along the side of the famous Runway that has welcomed home the Space Shuttle so many times.

Came in for a short landing and taxied back in.  I'm so THANKFUL for friends who like to share their gifts with us.

The Little Donkey is clean and Steve and Company has cleaned their very first airplane.  Yes, it was a Win-Win Deal!!

So, what does our Lord have for us today??  We're working on getting everything into place for "Spectacular International Bazaar" on December 5th.  Hope you can make it!!

SOME "RATIONALE" THOUGHTS ABOUT PREPARING....

Recently, I quoted Pastor Carl Gallups from Pensacola about preparing for hard times.  Just came across this article that gives several more excellent points about our need to prepare.

He says, "Be reasonable and rationale and biblical and thoughtful".  I like that kind of thinking!  Here's the article - PREPAREDNESS EXPERT: "DON'T LIVE LIFE WRINGING YOUR HANDS"

As Cindy and I have been sharing with you for some time, just do a little bit on a regular basis and take advantage of sales like, "Buy One Get One" (B.O.G.O.).  "B.O.G.O.'s" are cool because you can "prep for free".

In that way, you can build a nice "Emergency Kit" and not have to "spend an arm and a leg".  Just "nibble away" at it on a consistent basis and keep a sharp eye out for sale items.

BTW, I just put a call into Pastor Gallups this morning and hope to speak with him today.  We have a lot to talk about.  Cindy and I hope to have enough supplies "laid up" to not only take care of our family, but to help those around us.  Again, I really like this guy and the way he thinks.

Here's a quote from the article:  "The point I try to make in my book is, look, you don't have to live wringing your hands in fear," Gallups explained. "You don't have to run and hide under a sheet every time you hear a loud noise. … But we must first and always be reasonably prepared so that when and if some type of emergency or disaster strikes, we are not only providing for ourselves and for our loved ones around us and the innocent ones around us, but then we are more able, we are freer to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to those around us who are not prepared. And that's the purpose of Christian prepping."

I thought I'd give you something to think about today regarding "preparing".  I'm reminded of a saying that my dear Mother used to say, "Son, you gotta make hay while the sun shines".  In reading Proverbs 10 today (being the 10th day), I came across verse 5.....

"He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame"

Cindy and I are working diligently toward our upcoming "Spectacular International Bazaar" coming up on December 5th.  Hope you can make it.

BTW, if you have some crafts that you make, consider coming and setting up a booth.  You can make some extra money and help us to bring food to the hungry, a true Win-Win-Win deal.  Here are more details on this great event - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

Also, feel free to give us a call if you have any questions - call:  321-544-7757.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

CAPE CANAVERAL SUNRISE

We got up early this morning and went to see a beautiful sunrise...right in our back yard.  The beach is only a 15 minute ride from our home and Cindy wanted to show Sam (from India) one of our treasures.

Our little pup, Andy was quite overwhelmed by the surf and sounds and birds.

As the sun rose, a huge cruise ship worked it's way into Port Canaveral.  Sam got a kick out of that.

Yesterday was a wonderful day of ministry.  We began at Banana River Baptist Church, that is meeting in the Air Mobile Headquarters building on Merritt Island.

Pastor Lenny came to us about 6 months ago and shared his heart to start a church and wanted to rent our building.  Oh, we're so glad he did!

The little Church is nearly full after only about 6 weeks.  We're so proud of Lenny and his heart to win souls for Jesus!  Looks like we're soon going to have to expand the Sanctuary!

Lenny gave us the opportunity to share what Air Mobile does around the world.  We're so THANKFUL for this new relationship!!  We love Lenny and his precious family!!

Immediately after that service, we dashed to Orlando to conduct 3 separate services at the Hospital with the adolescents, the adults and the acute care patients.

We were joined by our GREAT friends, the Menendez family.  They have FAITHFULLY joined us in this ministry for several years now.  Again, we're so THANKFUL for them!!

In our 3 Services, we simply shared the Good News of Jesus and again, our Lord saved a number.  What a privilege to be a Co-Laborer with Jesus.

Afterwards, we just made it to a wonderful Indian Restaurant before the buffet closed.  Yes, Sam enjoyed the great Indian food.  He "kind of" felt at home.

We have enjoyed having Sam with us.  This is his first trip to America and we're helping him to learn a new, and quite different, culture.  This is a true "growing" experience for Sam.

Today, Sam will return to the Texas Bible Institute in Columbia, TX. We've enjoyed having Sam with us.

We're back home from that early morning sunrise on the Port Canaveral Beach. Time for that second cup of coffee and getting on with this beautiful day. As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

GOODWILL AMBASSADORS....

Last night was a wonderful event as we sat in a large room of folks who just love helping others in need.  We were humbled and blessed to be named among them as Goodwill Ambassadors.

Here is the short video that was played as we were presented with the Award.  Again, we're in awe at the goodness of God to send so many to help us along this path.  JOE & CINDY HURSTON - 2015 GOODWILL AMBASSADORS

After receiving this wonderful award, Peter and I dashed to Dogs-R-Us to meet Christian and his son, Rhythm for a night of intense football.

Well....you win some and you lose some.  Alabama was just too much for LSU on this night.

Today, we'll be visiting our good friends at Banana River Baptist Church.  Pastor Lenny is giving us the opportunity to share about "Hunger is not a Game".  Here's the latest - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

Then, it'll be off to the hospital to minister with both the adolescents and the adults there.  It's always such a joy to go and share the Good News of Jesus!

So, here we go again, in this country where we can freely share our faith.  This is something that we never take for granted.  We're also extremely THANKFUL to you, for your precious and faithful prayer, love and support!!

A LOT OF GOOD FOLKS!!

Cindy and I are honored to have been nominated for the Doctors Goodwill Foundation Humanitarian Award.  The event will be this evening in Melbourne, FL.

This brings me to the fact that we are so blessed to be surrounded by so many folks who help us do what we do!  PRAISE GOD!

It seems that our Lord has sent so many our way who help us each step of the way to help others!  That is why I tell you each and every day just how much we appreciate your prayer, love and support!!!

A good example of that is the phone call that I received from Lee while I was in Haiti recently.  Lee and his wife Cecelia served in the U.S. Air Force and now want to help Mission Aviation Ministries.  Oh, I'm so glad they called!

Yesterday, we spent several hours together sharing our hearts desire to serve the Lord through aviation.  This couple is so talented in so many ways.

Cecelia was born in the Philippines and they have a beautiful daughter, Alina.  Yes, I see "Water Mule" written all over them!!

Oh, I must tell you about something else that happened yesterday during our visit.  Lee was telling me about his flying experiences and the great instructor who encouraged him so much.

He explained that his flight training had occurred in the Lynchburg, VA area.  The name Tim Hahn popped into my head and I just blurted out...."Was it Tim Hahn?".  Lee looked at me and said...."how did you know??".

I've known Tim for 30 years and I just knew it was Tim that had given Lee his good training.  Very, very small world in Christ!!  And...."Yes, surely God knows how to deploy His troops!!"

Well, it's time to get on with this day.  And...after the Award Ceremony this evening, Peter and I, along with Christian will "DASH TO DOGS" for the remainder of epic slug match between our beloved LSU Tigers and powerful Alabama!  It's going to be a great game!!

As always, and I mean from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

THE HISTORY OF THE YMCA & A QUIET DAY IN FLORIDA

Came across this article on the History of the YMCA and thought I'd share it with you.  Our nation was certainly dramatically different then.

I do not understand the direction America is headed, but it certainly brings me to my knees.  Here's the story - THE TRUE STORY OF THE YMCA

Yesterday was quiet and restful.  Was up very early and by noon, actually went upstairs and took a long nap.  That was just what I needed.  Sometimes, it's just good to get that old battery recharged.

Cindy and I are working on getting ready for the "Incredible International Bazaar" that will be held at our home on December 5th from 3:00pm to 9:00pm.

We're inviting some wonderful vendors who will have very cool gifts for your Christmas list.  And we're planning some delicious delights.

And....you'll be helping us to bring food and water to the hungry and thirsty.  A true WIN-WIN deal!  Hope you can make it.

BTW, if you have some crafts or other items that you'd like to sell at this awesome event, fill out the Vendor Form in this link. We'd love to have you join us in this noble effort!  Here's the link - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME" - UPDATE

Time to move on with this beautiful day that our Lord has made. As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A SCIENCE PROJECT.... & A WISE PREPPER

What a great day yesterday.  Ran down to the Florida Department of Revenue and took care of a tax report.  Nice lady there.

Then, went to my Doctor (Steve) and had a quick check up in advance of my flight physical (all is well).  Moved some stuff from our garage to a storage hangar and then....

....Worked on a cool science project with Ariana.  Cindy was a huge help.  We made a "Salt Water Battery"!

We began with some steel screws, copper wire, salt water and a bunch of alligator clips.  YouTube is a great thing!!

It took a while and we had to watch the YouTube a number of times, but finally got the little battery all hooked up and producing enough electricity to illuminate a little red LED (light emitting diode).

Our salt water battery gave us 1.6 volts under load.

Voila, success!  Ariana was happy and we all learned a bit about Atomic Structure (electrons, protons and neutrons, etc. etc.).

Oh, it was a great lesson and it shows how we can make electricity out of so many things like lemons, potatoes and even tap water, just to name a few.

Right along the lines of "making our own electricity", I came across this wonderful article about "PREPPING ON A BUDGET"!

Pastor Carl Gallups has just released a book on how to prep "without spending an arm and a leg".

Oh, when I read the article, I thought, "He's certainly preaching to the choir regarding Cindy and I".  We're huge fans of "nibbling away at it" and BOGO's (Buy One - Get One).

Here's the article - YES, YOU CAN PREPARE FOR EMERGENCIES...ON A BUDGET!!

We're up early this morning.  Cindy and I had a delicious cup of coffee and under the stars.  Love the early morning hour!  Time to get on with this day and see what our Lord has in store for us.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious and greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

THE FOURTH....SEEK GOD'S WISDOM!!

The day after, the third is the fourth and was it is just what I needed to hear this morning (Proverbs 4).  SEEK GOD'S WISDOM!  Yes, I need to hear that everyday, but just like yesterday, had to share some of Solomon's Wisdom with you.

Proverbs 4 gives such sound and timeless admonitions to us.  The Words that King Solomon penned thousands of years ago apply perfectly for us today on November 4, 2015.

So, as I did yesterday, going to give you a link to Proverbs 4, so that if you don't have your Bible handy and have just a few minutes, you can read it right here on Air Mobile Joe's "Rambling Blog". - PROVERBS 4 - NKJV (It's only 27 short verses, but well worth a few minutes to read).

Each of us, regardless of our specific circumstances, face literally hundreds of choices each day.  Sometimes, we make good choices and yes, sometimes, we make bad choices.  If we really looked at all of the variables that each us face each day, it's quite overwhelming.

So....why not bring MORE of God's Wisdom into our lives.  Now, folks, believe me, I'm PREACHING TO MYSELF here.  Oh, I just want our Lord to lead me each and every day and....HE WANTS TO DO THIS IN OUR LIVES!

Had a great day yesterday meeting with a retired Airline Captain who has a small aircraft now.  We had a great day of sharing flying stories.  I love it when our Lord brings folks across our path.

So, it's time to head out into this day and yes, I'll be seeking our Lord's Wisdom and guidance.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious and faithful prayer, love and support!!

THE THIRD....

One of my all time favorite Proverbs is Chapter 3.  This is such a rich Proverb and covers so many areas of our life.  But verses 5-6 are my favorite...

As you may know, I try to read a bit of the Word of God every day.  Sometimes I miss the opportunity and the day doesn't go quite as well.

A simple technique that I do use is to at least read the Proverb that corresponds to the day.  Today being the "Third", I read Proverbs 3.  It's generally a better day when I do!  We need the Word of God in our lives to keep our thinking straight!

If you'd like to take a few minutes and read Proverbs Chapter 3 and you don't have your Bible handy, I've made it easy.  Just click here - PROVERBS 3 NKJV

There, that's my little preaching message for the day. I hope that Proverbs blesses you today, as it has me.

Yesterday, we gave Sam, from India, a real surprise.  Took him up in the Little Donkey and we flew right down the Space Shuttle Landing Strip.

Then, we flew over the St. John's river and looked for alligators (or crocodiles as Sam knows them).  We didn't see any, but Sam had the thrill of a lifetime!

We were joined on this little jaunt with Garrett and his Mom, Cindy.  It was just a blast watching Sam take his first "little airplane ride"!

Afterwards, we met up with my Cindy at a local "Indian Restaurant".  Sam felt right at home and the food was delicious.

After all the excitement, I brought Sam to Orlando International and put him on a "big airplane" for Houston, back to his Bible School.

He arrived safe and sound....thanks to my cousin Laura and her husband Mark, who, on very short notice, picked up Sam and drove him 60 miles to the Bible School.

THANKS, LAURA AND MARK!  Just another example of God's "strategic" deployment of His troops"!

So, it's time to get on with this day...that our Lord has made.  We're rejoicing in it!!

As always, THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!!

A DAY AT THE HOSPITAL AND IN THE PARK

We began yesterday at our home church, Redeemer.  We were given the opportunity to tell about "Hunger is Not A Game".

We are so excited about helping to save some of the 3000 children that die every day from hunger in India.

Then, our team split up.  Team A (Joe & Cindy), went to the Hospital.  Team B (Garrett and Sam) went to the Park (Sand Point Park, Titusville, FL).

Cindy and I met with our other Team members, the Menendez Family at the Orlando Hospital.  We then conducted 3 separate services to the young patients, the acute care patients and the adult patients.  Souls were saved and the Good News of Jesus was shared.  PRAISE GOD!

Meanwhile, Garrett and Sam (from India) went to the Park and set up an Air Mobile Rescuer.  The event ended "40 Days of Generosity", where many of our local churches came together and pooled resources to help the needy.  What a great outreach of unity and love!

After Team A finished at the hospital, we joined Team B at the Park and spent the rest of the afternoon and into the evening sharing with our community more about Air Mobile and what we do.

BTW, Peter came and joined us.  You may recall that Peter and Garrett worked together with Air Mobile in India where we met Sam in June.  So good to get back together!

Today, I may even take Sam up in the "Little Donkey".  He's never flown in a small airplane.  I'm looking forward to sharing that experience with him.  Later this evening, Sam will return to Houston where he's in Bible School.  So glad he could come and join us this weekend.

Yesterday, I shared a new video that Sam just made about our latest outreach of adding food to clean water.  Here it is again, if you didn't get a chance to view it - "HUNGER IS NOT A GAME -SAVING LIVES"!!  I hope you can take just a few minutes and see it.

Time to head out.  As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

GADGETS TO GET YOU HOME

never take the flight to or from Haiti lightly.  The Little Donkey is a magnificent little airplane but it is 45 years old....and in extremely good condition.

However....one cannot be too cautious when it comes to taking a little old airplane at a high altitude and over nearly 1000 miles of ocean right through the infamous "Bermuda Triangle"!

Before departing, I brought up the Satellite Image on my I-Phone and "saved" it so that I could know what the WX was when I departed.  According to the image, should be a beautiful flight home.

Recently, a friend of mine suggested I get a Pulse Oximeter to measure just how much of that precious Oxygen was actually getting into my lungs and blood.  Found out they're readily available and quite reasonable.

So, I did and am so glad I did.  It's wonderful to be able to take periodic readings and yes, take a few extra deep breaths of the precious oxygen to keep my head clear and the O2 levels acceptable.

Right along those same lines, my friend (Brian) suggested I get some kind of digital instrument to detect Carbon Monoxide (the silent, odorless "Killer").

Again, I did, and can "breathe" a little easier knowing that the CO levels can be easily tracked and detected.

On this flight, I chose 14,500' as my final cruising altitude. The winds were very light...better than a strong headwind.
I had my Oxygen Mask (kind of funny looking) strapped on and precious Oxygen flowing.  The Pulse Oximeter verified just how much was actually getting into my blood.

Just recently, I made inquiry about getting a Satellite Phone.  They're pretty pricey, but can be absolutely invaluable if you have some kind of enroute emergency.

I recall having a sat phone when I lost an engine several years ago.  Was able to phone my good friend, Bill (who donated the Little Donkey to Air Mobile) and while I was slowly "descending", he helped me to get that engine going again.

I called another Aviation Operation on our field and asked if they could sell me one of their excess Sat Phones.  Well, they DONATED a beautiful, never used, Sat Phone to Air Mobile!  THANKS, Air Scan!!

The rest of my flight went on without incident or bad weather.  Just to let you know, the Garmin Company, DONATED a full stack of "State of the Art" Avionics to help me "Navigate" home.  This was done when we got the Extreme Makeover.  THANK YOU, GARMIN!!

We've got a great Navigation / Communication package along with excellent engine instruments to detect fuel flow etc.  Again, I'm just THANKFUL for so many that have helped us to "Move About the Earth Safely"!!

I'm even able to listen to XM Radio for a portion of the flight.  Nice to be able to keep up with the latest news on my way home.

On the final leg, as I approach Florida for landing, we have Nexrad which gives us a good Radar image (inside the cockpit) should there be bad weather.  Another great addition, thanks to Garmin!!

Today, I just wanted to give you a good picture of what goes on inside the Little Donkey when we fly to and from Haiti.

PRAISE GOD for those who stand with us and help us along this journey.  And....Oh, it's good to be home!!

This morning, Cindy and I will be speaking in our home Church, Redeemer.  We'll be joined by Sam from India!  He's in Bible School in Texas and came over this weekend to visit.  So glad to have Sam with us.

Well, Sam recently made another Video explaining "Hunger is Not A Game" and I'd like to share it with you.  Sam is very gifted in making these videos and telling our story and above all, helping us to SAVE LIVES!  Here's the latest Video - HUNGER IS NOT A GAME - SAVING LIVES!

And....this morning, we got that "Bonus Hour" as we "fell back".  Gives time for that second cup of coffee!  As always, THANK YOU for your precious love, prayer and support!!
