5-23-17  Tuesday 6:51 AM (Uganda Time)  - Somewhere in Uganda,  Air Mobile "On the Move" - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

We arrived in Uganda last night.  Perfect flight.  The Government Officials treated us kindly and all 10 Rescuers cleared customs with no problem.

It took us 32+ hours to get this far...and we still have a ways to go.

Aaron and I slept like "logs".  Up early this morning.  Just had my coffee and a lovely breakfast.  Love the view!

Here's a little clip to capture the setting....

We'll be in meetings this morning with a local Mission Aviation organization and will be discussing the logistics of getting those 10 Air Mobile Rescuers where they are most needed.

Later this afternoon, we'll fly to South Sudan to continue our journey to bring clean water to the dying.  This is a NOBLE MISSION!!

Time to get on with this day.  The journey (and the Adventure) continues.  God bless you and THANK YOU again for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

5-22-17  Monday 9:57 AM (Brussels, Belgium Time)  - Brussels International- Air Mobile "On the Move" - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

Just landed in Brussels after a flawless flight on United.  Aaron and I only have a few minutes between flights, so this blog will be very, very brief.

Our next stop is Entebbe, Uganda.  We'll only be staging our relief efforts from there.  Will write more upon landing.

BTW, here's a link to the local NBC Story on our South Sudan Mission - WESH CHANNEL 2 NBC - AIR MOBILE TO SOUTH SUDAN

THANK YOU for joining together with us on this critical mission.  Your prayer, love and support is VITAL!  God bless!!

Air Mobile Joe

PS - This is the young man, whom our Lord used to find that "needle in the haystack" (our passports).  He found it in just 20 minutes and gives God all the Glory.

There were 1852 packages in that container and Jeremy was like a "heat seeking missile"!

THANK YOU, Jeremy!!

5-21-17  Sunday 4:57 PM (U.S. Central Time)  - Chicago, IL O'Hare- Air Mobile "On the Move" - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

WE GOT THE PASSPORTS!!!!  Praise God and THANK YOU for your PRAYER!!

UPS really came through and went through a container with 1852 packages and found the PASSPORTS!  Thank you UPS!  Above all, THANK YOU JESUS!

After 350+ miles of driving, Yahn and I arrived at Orlando International with the 10 Air Mobile Rescuers!

Our NBC Station interviewed me about our "Mission to South Sudan".  We're thankful for coverage, as it will bring in more PRAYER SUPPORT!

Dr. Aaron showed up and we're now...on our way to Africa.

They're calling for our flight (we're now in Chicago) and I have to run.  Will try to write when we land in Brussels.

I was told by UPS..."You can't get your passports until Monday morning".

Well, with God, ALL things are possible!

BTW, there are 2 Passports (mine and Dr. Aaron's) that are missing and....our flight is scheduled to depart this afternoon!!!!

After nearly 4 hours on the phone and speaking with Manager after Manager, I'm about to leave for a 300 mile road trip to "RETRIEVE" those "mis-directed" passports.

I don't have them in hand YET, but hope (and PRAY) that I will in the next 3 hours.  Then.... later this afternoon....we board a jet for Africa!  What a BATTLE this has been!

STAY TUNED!  When the passports are IN HAND, I'll update this blog and let you know.

Time to hit the road and go get those Passports!!

Tomorrow, our small team leaves for Africa.  There are many details that I will not share for Security Reasons.  I will, however, communicate each day with progress reports and special prayer requests, etc.

While sitting and typing this "rambling blog", I'm awaiting the UPS Delivery van to pull up with our passports!

And, just moments ago, I tracked the passports and found out that there has been a GLITCH!!

It appears that the "Saturday Delivery" was not activated and the delivery time is MONDAY!  We will miss our flights and the whole itinerary will collapse.

So....I'm on the phone with UPS at this time and will do whatever it takes to go find those passports.  As you read this, now rather anxious blog, PLEASE PRAY that those passports are found.

Have to go for now.  I'm glad you're with us with your vital prayer, love and support!!!

5-19-17  Friday 7:17 AM (U.S. Eastern Time)  - Titusville, FL - Air Mobile Home Base - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

Overnight, I received my Visa Approval to travel to Uganda but....my Passport / Visa from the South Sudan Embassy in Washington, DC has yet to be shipped.

This is getting very, very close, as we depart on Sunday.  PLEASE PRAY that the precious passport is shipped today with a Saturday delivery!

In the meantime, we're packing the "tubs" with Air Mobile Rescuers.  We continue to move forward in faith!

We still have "unfunded" Rescuers, so please join together with us in prayer that all funding will be met by departure time.  We have every confidence (in Jesus) that every need will be met!

Time to go the International Airport and speak with the Station Manager about our special load for South Sudan.  We'll be asking the airline to "waive" any added fees.  God is good!!

As always, THANK YOU for you invaluable prayer, love and support!!

My head is in a swirl as I try to "follow" the political fireworks at home here in the U.S.  Well said, Groucho!!

The best we can do is PRAY for our leaders and pray that wisdom and sanity prevail.

Meanwhile, our South Sudan Visas have been APPROVED!

Now, I wait with bated breath and the UPS tracking number, for my beloved Passport to arrive back in my hands.

Had been having a "Communication" problem with Uganda, but PRAISE GOD, looks like that may have been resolved overnight.  The Lord is good!

Today, we'll be putting the final touches on 10 Air Mobile Rescuers.  We currently have 5 funded.  PLEASE pray with us that the balance of 5 are funded by departure on Sunday!

With God, ALL things are possible!!

THANK YOU again for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

Thanks to the wonder of "Tracking", my passport did arrive safely at the South Sudan Embassy in Washington, DC.  So relieved!

If all goes well, and the paperwork is in order (I pray it is), then a shiny new Visa will be put into my faithful companion & door opener (my passport).

Then, it'll wing back to my eagerly awaiting hands.  Of course, I'll track it all the way home.

I suppose one does not realize just how attached one can become to a little blue book called a passport.

Yesterday, I took the Little Donkey up to 14,000' and not a single miss from the front engine.  Paul did a great job!

Upon landing, was met with a group of ladies lead by Mary Ann.  They make little dresses for orphans around the world!

It just so happens that soon, Air Mobile will be heading to South Sudan.  We'll have 10 Air Mobile Rescuers and they need to be "packed" with cushioning.

Mmmm, those little dresses will help keep those Rescuers from getting banged up.  I love our Lord's timing.  THANK YOU, Mary Ann and helpers!!

Time to head out and see what this day holds.  I'll be tracking that passport!!  THANKS, as always for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

5-16-17  Tuesday 6:59 AM (U.S. Eastern Time)  - Titusville, FL - Air Mobile Home Base - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

After all these years, this is the first time that I've been without my passport.  Of course, it will only be gone for about 48 hours (if all goes well).

I must admit, it was difficult to put that Passport into an envelope and watch it leave.  NO International Pilot likes to be WITHOUT their passport!!

Had to send it to the South Sudan Embassy in Washington, DC to receive the Visa allowing travel to South Sudan.

I've been tracking it since early this morning.  It's now somewhere between Maryland and DC on a delivery truck.

I pray it not only arrives, but all of the documents enclosed will satisfy the requirements of the South Sudan Embassy.

Meanwhile, we need another Visa for Uganda for this Journey.  We're running into a few snags on that one, but hope to get it all resolved by our departure time.  Again, this is a very complicated mission with many, many details.

BTW, Paul and I are making good progress on the "High Altitude" miss on the Little Donkey.  Hope to take it up again today and climb to 15,000' and see just how well that front engine runs.

Looks like Haiti will have to wait until we return from Africa.  Such is life.

Time to get on with this day.  Have a lot to do.  THANK YOU again for your precious prayer, love and support!!

5-15-17  Monday 6:57 AM (U.S. Eastern Time)  - Titusville, FL - Air Mobile Home Base - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

I had a very tight window to make a flight to Haiti. Yesterday morning was up early & headed to the airport.

The Little Donkey was all ready to go, fueled and loaded.  Yes, those are diapers stuffed in so tight.  The cabin of the little airplane is like a solid cube.

Did a final pre-flight, had a word of prayer and fired up the engines & took off for Haiti.

Captured another Glorious Caribbean sunrise.  Never get tired of those.  Each is so stunning, unique and beautiful.

Then...while passing through 12,000 the front engine began to miss.  Tried to smooth it out, but with no success.  Had to turn back.

While descending back to our home base, I sent a text to Paul (yes, you can Text & Fly thanks to a good auto pilot).

Shortly after landing, Paul arrived and began the process of finding the "mysterious miss".

On Saturday, we had done a test flight prior to my flying to Haiti and the miss did not show up at low altitude.  Such is the nature of flying.  It's just a machine that is subject to problems.  We overcome them.

Cindy and I had celebrated Mother's Day on Saturday, since I was flying to Haiti (very tight schedule with Africa looming).

Well, since I was on the ground, I joined Cindy, Angelica, Ariana and Peter for a lovely Mother's Day Dinner.

"All things work together for the good...".

We'll be continuing to find that "Mysterious Miss" in the Little Donkey.  Probably a plugged injector or a fouled plug.

As I say every day and mean with ALL of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

I'm so THANKFUL that we honor our Mothers and Wives!  Without question, our Lord has given me a Proverbs 31 Lady of God!!

Folks, time and again, when disaster hits and the need to travel quickly arises, my Cindy is packing my bags and covering me in prayer.  What a precious gift!

Cindy, I love you and appreciate you more than words can say!!

Even on this Mother's Day, as I'm about to "Hit the road"....again, on another mission, you stand with me with your love and encouragement.  THANK YOU!!

We spent yesterday at the hangar getting the Little Donkey ready for the "Next mission".  We were blessed to have a new "Water Mule", Joe, with us.

His experience in the military, specifically "Air-Dropping" cargo will prove to be valuable to Air Mobile.

Again, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops where needed!!

So, on this beautiful Sunday morning, Mother's Day here in America, I pray you love and honor your Mother's and Wives.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Whoa!  What would happen IF you got locked out of your computer?  Perish the thought!

Yet, that is what happened yesterday around the world.  Oh, are we vulnerable!!

These type of events bring home the reality of how quickly our lives can change.  All the more reason to stay CLOSE TO JESUS!

No matter what happens in this world, Jesus is just a call away.  I'm reminded of one of my all time favorite Scripture..."Whosoever shall CALL upon the Name of the Lord shall be SAVED!

I have a feeling that this will not be the LAST such attack.  We have become so dependent upon the Internet and our computer.

It's a good exercise to simply THINK about what we would do IF we were "locked out".

We are all in different places and have different circumstances.  However, our Lord offers to give us Wisdom...in ABUNDANCE.  Sounds like a good place to go!!

So, as I go into this day with a "hundred" things to do, I'm CALLING upon Jesus to lead and guide and give give a lot of WISDOM!!

And...speaking of wisdom, our Brother, Chuck (Norris) has a thing or two to say about COFFEE!

So, on that encouraging note, have a cup of coffee and go into this day seeking His wisdom and guidance.  That's what I'm going to do.

THANK YOU, as always for  your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

I first met Joe Polozola at Baton Rouge High School, 10th grade Geometry Class.  I was 15.

Since then, our friendship has passed 51 years.  The BEST thing Joe did for me was....introduce me to Jesus!  Joe is my best friend on this earth!

Often, when prayer and wisdom is needed, I call Joe.  We meet often!  Last night we had dinner and I was able to go over every detail of our upcoming South  Sudan Mission.

Can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate our friendship!

We forgot to take a photo of our dinner, so I found this one from one of our earlier dinner meetings.

Now, I'm in the thick of planning this South Sudan Mission.  There are so many details, I will not bore you with them.  Suffice it to say that I'm on the phone and burning up the keyboard from "can see to can't see....& beyond".  This is a very COMPLICATED Mission!!

Time to get to work and keep moving toward....the next mission.  Thank you, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

While planning the missions ahead and seeing the conditions of the refugees, my heart often breaks.

But....being in a position to do something, even if it seems like a small thing in the midst of such overwhelming tragedy, brings a sense of THANKFULNESS.

And, as we move forward toward South Sudan, pieces continue to come together.

I believe that this is by the "Hand of God".  For you see, as our hearts are broken by the untold suffering, so is the "Heart of God"!

I know I tell you this often, but I am so glad that you are with us on this journey.

No, you may not have a ticket or a visa to go, but you surely are with us with your prayer, love and support and I'm THANKFUL to have you along!!

Yesterday, I took the Little Donkey for a "Test Flight".  It's all ready to go.  That's good.

Did you know that I actually did a "Flight Plan" all the way to Africa in the little bird? It could be done.

But....I think flying commercial would be wiser!

Well, it's time to get on with this day that our Lord has made.  We're THANKFUL  and REJOICING in it!

As always, THANK YOU again for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

Catching up is a "full time job"!  Between paying bills, inspecting the Little Donkey, tracking down my "Yellow Fever" shot from years ago, researching Visas for Uganda and South Sudan...just to name a few...I'm overwhelmed!

But, His grace is sufficient!  I keep hearing His still, small voice...Be still and know that I am God!

Before we can go to South Sudan, certain things MUST be done.

And, there's always Haiti.  It's been a while since I've been to my favorite little country.

May our Lord lead me this day, each step of the way.

We've been following the Cholera Outbreak in South Sudan.  MedAir is at "Ground Zero" bringing in help to the victims.  We are reaching out to this organization to see what we can do to help them.  They need CLEAN WATER!

So, in the midst of all of this stuff going on, I need to just get quiet and seek His direction to know what He wants me to do today.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

After spending the last few months "On the Road", it's good to just come home and sit down quietly.  Not easy for me.

Thinking back over the last few months....Haiti, Peru, Panama, Tennessee, Virginia, Los Angeles...and now looking at South Sudan, it's been like a whirlwind.  It's hard to just sit quietly.

As I gazed out of our back yard, admiring a pretty orchid, and across the tranquil pond...I saw an unusual "thing" in the water.  Mmmm, what is that?

Upon closer inspection, I saw that it was our local alligator lurking just at eye level.

I guess there's some measure of danger about everywhere we go.  Not a good idea to go wading in the pond!

Yes, it's good to be home.  I still can't get over how comfortable a soft bed and pillows can be.  Or how delicious a nice, warm leisurely shower can be.  Or looking at a long Buffet line and getting my fill.

My mind keeps going to the South Sudan refugees that are fleeing for their lives.  Just saw this story to bring the harsh reality of what is happening, not only in South Sudan, but around the world.

It's difficult to wrap my mind around these tragedies that are unfolding as I type this blog.

So, sitting quietly is not an easy thing to do.  It's back to work this morning....getting ready for our "Next Mission", wherever that might be.

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

Spent yesterday "hanging-out" at LAX.  Squeezed as much out of a late check-out as I could from the hotel.  Had to be out by 4:00pm and my flight was not until....10:15pm.

It was a good time to study South Sudan and just watch people.  Found a nice little cafe' and just "parked" there for about 5 hours.

Then....the flight to Orlando was delayed by about an hour.  So, found a seat by the check-in counter and snoozed a bit...getting ready for the "Red Eye Special".

The best way to deal with the "Red Eye" is MELATONIN!  I took a generous portion and managed to actually sleep for a good part of the flight from LAX to Orlando.

We finally left at 11:15PM (Pacific Time) and arrived in Orlando (Eastern Time) at 6:30AM.

Got home, had a cup of coffee with my Cindy and it's time to "Get to work".  Have a lot of stuff to catch up on.

Haiti needs attention, so we'll be getting the Little Donkey all ready for a flight there.  We have many details to settle before leaving for South Sudan.  My "To Do List" is growing by the minute.

I THANK YOU with all of my heart for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

It was an awesome blessing to Introduce Colonel Dick Stoops for the prestigious "Endeavor Award" presented by Angel Flights West.

Captured this shot of Dick right next to the Space Shuttle Endeavor.

What a PERFECT SETTING!!  Under the Space Shuttle Endeavour for the Endeavor Awards!!

As we left the hotel for the Event, this shot shows some of Dick's accomplishments in his stellar  military service.

Folks, I've been with Dick in some pretty "dicey" situations and I can tell you for certainty, Dick is a true "American Hero"!

Yes, surely our Lord knows how to deploy His troops!!!

It was a blessing to be with Dick, his wife, Judy, son, Dean and daughter, Mindy.  What a family!!!

What a blessing and honor to be with them for this storied evening.

I was thrilled beyond words to have been able to Introduce Dick and give him the beautiful award!

Here's a bit of the Presentation - COLONEL DICK STOOPS - ENDEAVOR AWARD

It was an evening that I personally will never forget!

I must say that being next to the Space Shuttle Endeavor brought back a lot of NASA memories for me.

So, this evening, I'll board the "Red Eye" from LAX to MCO (Orlando).  Board at 10:15pm (Pacific time) and land 6:15AM (Eastern Time).

Have the rest of the day free and will be doing a lot of research on the dreadful situation in South Sudan and that whole region.

Cholera, starvation and genocide is ravaging that land.  PLEASE PRAY!!

Thank you, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Thanks to Frontier Airlines, I landed in L.A. yesterday....just a bit late, but right on time for dinner!

Colonel Dick Stoops is being honored by Angel Flights and being given the Endeavor Award for his amazing service to others!

I've had the privilege to work with Dick in several major disasters and can tell you from personal experience... DICK IS THE REAL DEAL...A TRUE TROOPER!!

Yesterday evening, we had dinner together at "Rush Street Cafe" in Culver City.

Oh my...do they know how to cook.  Had a delicious dinner and wonderful fellowship with Dick and his family!

The event will actually take place under the Space Shuttle Endeavor in the California Science Center in Los Angeles.

What a magnificent setting for this wonderful event!!

Here's more - 2017 ENDEAVOR AWARDS

Our keynote Speaker will be Captain "Sully" Sullenberger of the "Miracle on the Hudson" fame.  What a PILOT...What a MIRACLE!!!

After the long flight from Orlando to LAX and a lovely dinner, I'm free for the day and with Pacific Time, was able to "sleep in" this morning.

Have the distinct honor to "Present" Colonel Dick Stoops to receive his "Endeavor" award this evening.

Will just hang out at the hotel and work on my little "Presentation" speech and do a lot of research on South Sudan and the looming "Cholera Outbreak".... that is happening as I type.  PLEASE remember to pray for South Sudan!

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer. love and support!!!

Finally arrived home in the midst of intense storms.  Used my Air Navigation (Fore Flight) to work around the worst storms.  The little airplane is actually my Ford Escape.  Cool tool.

Several months ago, I agreed to Introduce my dear friend and colleague, Colonel Dick Stoops of Remote Area Medical (RAM).

Dick is an Endeavor Awardee and the event will take place in Los Angeles on Saturday evening, so....I'll be boarding a flight for LAX in just a few hours.

Here's more on this wonderful award - 2017 ENDEAVOR AWARDS

Dick has a lifetime of serving others and I'm so glad that he is being recognized for his incredible skill, bravery & service!

Dick made HEROIC air drops out of Cessna 206 in Haiti following Hurricane Matthew (dropped over 55,000 meals to the hungry!)

I just got home....and am "On the Road Again"!  I PRAISE GOD for my Cindy who understands the intense, busy schedule and helps me pack my bags between missions.

So, it is time head to the airport to get a quick update on the Little Donkey and pack my bags and fly to LA!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious love, prayer and support!!

5-4-17  Thursday 7:27 AM (U.S. Eastern Time)  - Florence, SC - Air Mobile "On the Road" - Report submitted by:  Air Mobile Joe

Had a wonderful meeting with Bill of AirServ in Warrenton, VA. AirServ is CURRENTLY flying in South Sudan.  Our meeting was very insightful and productive.

Was able to show Bill the Air Mobile Rescuer for planning purposes.  Look forward to working closely with AirServ in the future.

While in the parking lot of the hotel, heard from the U.S. State Department.  Again, gained a LOT of VALUABLE information regarding the conditions in South Sudan.  The main counsel is...."BE CAREFUL"!

Then, it was back on the road for home!  Got about half way there and finally "ran out of gas" (not literally) in Florence, SC and had a lovely evening in a nice hotel.

You know, often, in a hotel,  while I'm in a comfortable bed with soft pillows, I think of the "Refugees" who have walked countless miles with little or no food or water and often "fleeing" for their lives.

First of all, I'm THANKFUL for all of the blessings that we have and then, my heart breaks for the "MILLIONS" around the world who are on the brink of death.

YES, we must do something.  Even if it seems like a "Drop in the Bucket".  If you're at the bottom of the bucket, you're THANKFUL that someone is at least putting in drops!

TOGETHER, we can make a difference!  THANK YOU for joining me on this journey!  We so APPRECIATE your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Cholera spreads like wildfire and kills rapidly!  The outbreak has begun in refugee camps in South Sudan.  Once this fire is lit, it's very, very difficult to put it out.  The #1 need is CLEAN WATER!!

Once again, please forgive me for sharing these images, but here's what is happening throughout South Sudan refugee camps right now as I type and as you read this blog - WARNING:  THE IMAGES ARE DISTURBING

I, personally have experience with Cholera and actually contracted the deadly disease.  It nearly killed me.

This is a dreadful situation and we're accelerating our time-line to get to South Sudan to bring in LIFE-SAVING CLEAN WATER!

Yesterday, I visited an amazing organization, Dynamic Aviation located in Bridgewater, VA.  I was met by a team of professionals who have tremendous experience flying in this region of the world.

I'm THANKFUL for the information I obtained and look forward to working with this great organization in the future!  They are operating multiple aircraft around the world, and have a huge fleet of King-Airs, a great aircraft!

After visiting Dynamic Aviation, it was back on the road to Warranton, VA.  Here, I will be meeting with AirServ, an amazing Humanitarian aviation organization.

AirServ is currently serving in South Sudan. We will be discussing our upcoming mission and the possibility of their flying us into hard hit regions of South Sudan.

Again....as per Solomon "In the multitude of counsel, there is safety!!

Time to fill up my coffee thermos and head over to AirServ to plan our strategy.

Then, it'll be "One the Road Again" (makes me think of Willy Nelson) for the long drive back to Florida.

And...as I say every single day, and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

Time to leave the sweet cabin in the mountains of East TN.  On the way home, will be visiting several Aviation Organizations that operate in Sudan / South Sudan.

There is much information yet to be gained...before we launch our mission to that region of the world.

Here is a story on the conditions there and I WARN YOU, there are disturbing images and stories -

Caught in the middle of this cruel, evil and insane killing are innocent men, women and children.  We must do something to help!

It's time for me to pack up and head out of this beautiful and tranquil place.  The contrast of what is going on in South Sudan breaks my heart and I know it breaks the heart of Jesus!

I'm reminded of the Words of Jesus to His Disciples...

"When you've done it unto the least of these, you've done it unto Me"

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

After the extremely productive meetings with Remote Area Medical (R.A.M.) and a host of experienced pilots, we're moving closer and closer to launching multiple "Missions" to South Sudan.

This week will be dedicated to making many, many more contacts.  May even make a run to Washington DC, where we hope to find out more critical details on South Sudan.  We may even find some much needed financial support...we'll see!

The more we research this upcoming mission, the more we realize that it is by far the most complicated and possibly the most dangerous mission we've ever launched.

That is the reason I ask for your PRAYER as never before!

Will be at the cabin for a few more days.  What a lovely and peaceful place to PLAN & PRAY!!

I'm so THANKFUL for my precious Cindy, who has taken care of so many Air Mobile details & "Keeping the Home Fires Burning"!

And...tomorrow is our Ariana's 12th Birthday!  I won't be there is person, but will be there "Face Time".

It's time to make "a hundred phone calls"!  Have many more contacts to make.  As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!
