THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES.....JANUARY 2018

A BUMPY RIDE...

Early yesterday, boarded a Frontier flight from Orlando to Knoxville.  It was a bumpy ride as the pilot worked to try to find smooth air & never did.

We landed in Knoxville with the visibility down to minimums.  The Captain did a good job of getting to Knoxville safely.

After landing, went right into meetings with Stan, Jeff and Larry (who snapped this shot) regarding the steps and process to obtaining an "Operating Certificate" for a large aircraft.

We currently have our eyes on a beautiful MD-83  (a stretched DC-9).  But, many pieces must come together for us to obtain the use of this great bird and how we will actually operate it.

Larry, who set up much of the Remote Area Medical (RAM) maintenance operations went over the "Books" that RAM has in place.

The goal is to integrate the work already done by RAM with our future plans of Global Deployments in "Large" Aircraft.

Jeff recently retired from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and has VAST experience with this very project.  We seek wisdom and guidance and we're THANKFUL for Jeff's willingness to help us!!

After the meetings, I drove to our "Retreat Cabin" and had a quiet evening.  Today, will be back in more meetings on this "Noble Project".

THANK YOU as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

BACK TO KNOXVILLE...

This morning, I'll be boarding an early flight for Knoxville, TN.

Will be in critical meetings with Stan Brock of Remote Area Medical (RAM) regarding the utilization of a large aircraft for future missions.

I don't know what the future holds (but I know Who does).  Stan and I both feel it is important to gear-up for major disasters that may lie ahead.

BTW, I'm flying on Frontier Airlines.  The fare from Orlando to Knoxville was under $80 ROUND TRIP!  That's crazy cheap!

We'll be joined by Jeff, who recently retired from the FAA.  His knowledge of obtaining an "Operating Certificate" for large aircraft will be invaluable.

We're seeking wisdom and guidance and our Lord is providing!!  If any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God...James 1:5.

Time to head out the door for the airport.  THANK YOU, as always for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

LEGOS...

Our dear Ari is still recovering (well) from, what appears to be a common cold.  We dodged the "Flu" bullet, THANK GOD.

Yesterday, she invited me to play Legos with her.  I must admit, I missed the Legos craze while growing up.  We had a blast "creating" in the Legos World.

Earlier, I had lunch with 2 dear friends who work for the Harris Corporation.

Mark first told me of Harris' ability to put in high quality Air Traffic Control (ATC) a number of years ago.

With God's help, I "took the ball & ran" with that Info.  Now, Haiti has high quality Harris ATC equipment.  THANK YOU, MARK!

We were also joined by McCauley, a Systems Engineer for Harris.  McCauley specializes in sensors, especially Earthquake detecting sensors.

Over lunch, we discussed the increasing number of earthquakes that are occurring.

We, of course, looked into the Word of God to see how this all fits in.  The bottom line is:  "Jesus is Coming Back...soon!"

So, on this beautiful Saturday morning in Florida, we go forth.  THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

A "RESCUER" COMES HOME

Several months ago, in the middle of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, I had dinner at a Cuban Restaurant, El Leoncito, here in Titusville, FL

While paying the bill, I noticed a customer wearing a "I Love St. Maarten" t-shirt.

I casually mentioned that I was flying to St. Maarten tomorrow to bring clean water (St. Maarten was devastated by Hurricane Irma).

The customer and his wife, instantly asked if I could check on her brother, Dr. Carter Glass who lives on St. Maarten.  I quickly took his info and we parted.

Of course, I did call Dr. Glass and we did meet in St. Maarten and Air Mobile did present him with 2 Air Mobile Rescuers.

He was a great "WATER MULE" on St. Maartin during the crisis.

PRAISE GOD for that "St. Maarten" T-shirt and the El Leoncito!!

Well, Dr. Glass is from Titusville and comes home from time to time.  After the crisis had passed, Dr. Glass had brought one of the Rescuers home.

Yesterday, we met for lunch and he presented me with the second unit.  Both "RESCUERS" (the units) and Dr. Glass, the other "RESCUER" came home.

I was able also to present Dr. Glass with a copy of our book, "Run To The Roar" and again express our deep appreciation for his willingness to help in the crisis.

PRAISE GOD for divine connections.  I never cease to marvel at how our Lord...."Deploys His troops"!!

Today, I'll be having lunch with some dear friends who work for the Harris Corporation.  Harris, as you may know, provides critical Air Traffic Control communications world-wide.

Time to get on with this day.  As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

A WORD FITLY SPOKEN....

From time to time, I go to the Word of God to seek wisdom and direction.  Truth is...I don't do it often enough.  But when I do, HE meets me and speaks into my heart.

This morning, I turned to Proverbs 25 and found "A Word Fitly Spoken...".  Indeed, it is like apples of gold in settings of silver.

In these 28 Verses, Solomon gives us WISE direction in so many areas of our life.

Here is Proverbs 25 in the New King James Version...may it bless you today - PROVERBS 25 NKJV

BTW, for those who ramble down this "blog road" with me may know, I like to read the Proverbs for the Day.

In other words, on the 25th, I read Proverbs 25....and so forth and so on.  It's a convenient way to bring God's Word into my heart on a consistent basis....when I do it.

I truly need to "Practice what I Preach".  But, I encourage you to go to God's Word for direction.  Yes, He will surely meet you when you do.

As we prepare for the "next mission", we seek His direction and guidance.

We are in a very exciting phase of production on the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier.

Part by part, we are gaining the ability to produce literally "unlimited" quantities of each piece.  This has been a long and winding road that involves making molds and securing facilities to produce the critical components.

In other words, there are certain components that are no longer produced and in order to move forward...we have to make them ourselves.

I am pleased to say that we are nearly there and have ordered our last 4 molds to make this happen.  PRAISE GOD!!

So, on with this beautiful day in somewhat sunny, but chilly Florida, go forth.  THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

WHAT IS THE "RING OF FIRE"??

After the 8.2 Alaska Earthquake yesterday, there is NO doubt that we are entering into a period of INCREASING EARTHQUAKES & VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS!

THANK GOD that no major Tsunami occurred yesterday.  However, let this be a wake-up call for us all.

BTW, it is difficult to predict whether a tsunami will occur.  If we err on any-side, may we err on the safe side.  Here's more - "TSUNAMI SAVVY" & WHAT SCIENCE DOES NOT KNOW

Here's a very good 43 second picture of the "THE RING OF FIRE"

WHAT IS THE "RING OF FIRE"? (Push the play button on the short video)

Folks, I'm not saying this is..."the end of the world".  But, we must be aware of increasing volcanic and earthquake activity.

Above all, it is a good time to PRAY and ask our Lord how we should prepare should a disaster strike 'near home'.

Also, how can we help others should disaster strike?  That is why Air Mobile is "gearing up" to produce more water purifiers. One thing we know, when Disaster Strikes, people WILL need CLEAN WATER!

Ari and I are BLESSED to have Cindy home from the cold and rainy Northeast.  She spent some good time with her Mom in Massachusetts.  Welcome Home Cindy!!

And we ask you to continue to PRAY for Ari, as she's still fighting flu-like symptoms.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

Cindy is in MA visiting her Mom.  While there, she looked up "Baby Ruth" (Elizabeth).  Cindy and Barb worked together to save this precious child 24 years ago.

I was the one that took this picture all those years ago.  The "Rescue" of Baby Ruth touched all of us and put us on a course of saving lives.

Yesterday, Cindy met Elizabeth for the first time, since that day all those years ago.

Elizabeth is now a Bank Examiner in Boston.  She loves our Lord Jesus with all of her heart.

Meanwhile, back here in FL, Ari and I took our intrepid Barb out for a delicious breakfast at Denny's (had a great coupon).

After our breakfast "feast" we just spent the afternoon "chilling out" and coloring and telling stories and laughing.

I so recall the day that Barb told us about Ari 10 years ago.  She simply said...."If someone doesn't do something to help this little one....she will die".

The rest is history.  Cindy and I cared for Ari as she got her life-saving surgery and adopted her.

Both Ari and "Baby Ruth" are just 2 stories of lives forever changed by Barb, the "Lady In The Blue Dress".

Today, we're heading to Church and Barb will be driving back up to New York to be with her family there.  We're so THANKFUL for these visits and memories of God's Saving Grace!!

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

EASY GOING....

For the moment....things are quiet.  No storms brewing, no earthquakes shaking...ahhh.

It's Saturday morning here in Florida.  We still have Barbara, the "Lady in the Blue Dress", with us.

Having Barb here is like having a celebrity.  Her phone rings constantly with folks who want to see her.

After all, this courageous lady is responsible for 2500+ children being adopted (and many lives saved).

It was Barb who found our Juliet and Ari and for that, Cindy and I are eternally grateful.

Cindy's Mom is doing better.  THANK YOU for your prayers!

Today, Cindy will be meeting with a young lady (Baby Ruth) who was rescued by Barb many years ago.  Cindy and I were part of that amazing rescue.

It was the rescue of "Baby Ruth" that put Barb on the path of saving so many children and brought her into our lives.  Yes, "Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy His troops"!!

Barbara has written a book, "Make That Baby Happy" that tells the whole story.  It's a great read!!

So, on this beautiful Saturday morning, Ari and I will be taking Barb to IHOP for a delicious breakfast.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

SOUTH SUDAN??

Sometimes events time themselves perfectly.  Yesterday, received a note from South Sudan from a good friend.  Then....got a call from a group that wants to bring clean water to an orphanage in South Sudan.  Perfect timing....

BTW, South Sudan is the most dangerous country in the world for Relief Workers.  One must choose their path carefully and prayerfully!

28 AID WORKERS KILLED IN SOUTH SUDAN...A NEW HIGH

"Nearly half of the 1,159 humanitarian access incidents reported last year by aid agencies involved violence including killing, looting and threats."

Can't give any more details, but I never cease to marvel at how our Lord times things.  Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, Cindy and I took Barb out for a delicious lunch at the world famous "Dixie Crossroads" in Titusville.  Mmmmm...great seafood!!

Then, Cindy boarded a flight for frigid Massachusetts to check on her Mom...who is not doing well.

PLEASE remember to pray for Cindy's Mom!

So, on this chilly Florida day (38 degrees), we go about knocking down the rather long "To Do List" preparing for the "next mission"....wherever that might be.

THANK YOU, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, for your truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!

THE O.W.L.S. / ANOTHER RESCUER FOR UGANDA / A "PRAIRIE GIRL" & A SURPRISE IN A "BLUE DRESS"

Oh, I love speaking to the O.W.L.S (Older - Wiser - Loving - Saints).  The "Message" that I shared was, "Where is Jesus?"

As is usually the case, the message was for me as well as for the O.W.L.S.  The Lord is good!!

From the O.W.L.S. it was to the airport where I met Henry.  Henry is a retired Aerospace Contractor who has a heart to help Uganda.

It was  a joy to present Henry with his 3rd Air Mobile Rescuer.  He plans to deliver it to Uganda in a few weeks.  GO HENRY!!

This morning, our Ari is dressed as a Prairie Girl (specifically as Laura Ingles Wilder of Little House on the Prairie).

Cindy made this dress for Ari while at the Tennessee cabin.  My, my, I'm blessed to have Cindy and Ari in my life!!

While sipping coffee this morning, my phone rang.  It was Barbara, the Lady in the Blue Dress.

Barb drove down from New York...in the midst of snow storm and arrived at our door step early this morning.

She brought down a great load of supplies for Haiti and will be with us for the next few days.  She loved Ari's Prairie outfit.

BTW, it was Barb that found Ariana and arranged for her visa to get life-saving surgery.

We cared for Ari during her surgery and yes, fell in love with her and adopted her.  THANK YOU BARB!!

Who knows what this day holds for us?  I can assure you, it will be full of adventure.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!

SPEAKING TO OWLS....

What, or should I say, Who are the O.W.L.S.?

For years, I've had the privilege to speak to a group known as the O.W.L.S. (OLDER - WISER - LOVING - SAINTS).

I love these folks.  They have been around "for a while".  These "seasoned saints" have deep experiences loving and serving our Lord Jesus!  They have endured the test of time.

Yes, I love to speak to them.  Besides, I then gain their prayer support, which is, as you know, invaluable!

Last night, my son, Christian, took me out for a delicious catfish dinner to celebrate my birthday.

The Place:  Molly's Seafood Shack in Merritt Island, FL.

Mmmmm, Collard Greens, Cheese Grits (with a sprinkling of bacon) and fresh Catfish!  Oh, that was some good "down-home" eating!!!

After speaking with the O.W.L.S. this morning, I'll be taking the Little Donkey up for a Test Flight.  It's always good to have that little bird "ready to go"!

I'll also be meeting with Henry.  He's a retired business man who has already placed a number of Air Mobile Rescuer Water Purification systems in Uganda.

He's here to pick up another Rescuer to bring to Uganda.  PRAISE GOD for folks who have the love of Jesus in their heart for others.  GO HENRY!!

Last night, around 10:00pm, we heard an ambulance pull up in front of our home and the paramedics dashed into our neighbors home across the street.

They were in there for a long time and finally...they came out, slowly.

Our neighbor, Jack, had a massive heart attack and passed away.  Please pray for his wife and family.  Life is fleeting.

It's time to put the "Polishing touches" on my message to the O.W.L.S.

THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!!

HOME AT LAST!

Had a near flawless drive from TN to FL with only the tiniest bit of ice along the way.  My timing was good!

And....broke an all-time record by driving 720 miles in 10 hours & 10 minutes!  BTW Uhhhhh....I fudged a little bit on the speed.

Arrived to the most beautiful checkered Birthday cake made by my Cindy.

It had squares of vanilla and chocolate, so you get the best of both separately and in one cake.  Cindy has an obvious gift!!

And...it was as delicious at it looks!!

I'm so THANKFUL to Cindy for holding down the Florida Fort, while I was on my awesome "Retreat" at the Tennessee Cabin.

Oh, it's good to be home.  Here, Cindy is doing Ari's hair before school, as little Andy looks on, attentively.  I've sure missed them!!

So, you can imagine, I'll be chipping away at a long "Florida To-Do List" for the rest of this week.

Meanwhile, Paul, our faithful mechanic, has completed Phase 1 of 4 Inspection.  This is such a better way to maintain the bird.  It spreads the Annual Inspection out over the year.

I'll likely need to do a run-up for a "leak check" and then take the Little Donkey up for a Test Flight.

Time to get on with this chilly day in Florida.  THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

"SLIPPING" OUT OF TN....

Time to bid farewell to the "Retreat Cabin" and 13 degrees.....Brrrr!

Will be on the road for Florida today and "slipping" out just before the ice hits my route...hopefully.

Have sure missed my precious Cindy and Ari and glad to be heading home.  But, Oh, this "retreat" has been FRUITFUL!

We've seen doors open on projects that we're believing for, like the larger aircraft and so much more.

We still have quite a ways to go before actually "firing up" this beautiful bird, but we're well on our way!!

Truly, PRAYER IS STRIKING THE WINNING BLOW....SERVICE IS JUST GATHERING UP THE RESULTS....S.D. GORDON.

One of my "projects" while up here at the cabin was to catch up my Flight Log Book.  In order to do that, I had to go through nearly 2000 blogs over the last 7 years.

As I looked back on how many flights He has enabled Air Mobile to make and how much clean water we've been able to bring to the thirsty, I say....TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!

Now, I can say that the old Flight Log is completely current.....and, I'll keep it that way!

I stand amazed at how our Lord Jesus has opened so many doors around the world and allowed us to share His love and bring clean water and food to the thirsty and hungry.  THANK YOU, JESUS!!

So, it's time for me to prep the cabin and pack the little Ford Escape and hit the road for Florida!

THANK YOU, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

LOOKING SOUTH....& THANK YOU!

So many of you wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday.  I'm overwhelmed.  THANK YOU all for your kind words!

What an amazing time our Lord has given me here at the retreat cabin in the mountains of East TN.

I'll be packing up and cleaning this wonderful place today for use by the next pilgrim.

Will likely hit the road in the morning....weather permitting.  There will be icy roads along the way.  THREAT OF SNOW &....ICE

So much has been accomplished here through simple PRAYER and STUDYING the Word of God.

Have been focusing on the Book of Revelation and have gained some wonderful insights out of the study.

One thing is for sure, our Lord Jesus is coming back to this earth soon.  The signs are everywhere!

I've enjoyed my retreat here, but have sure missed my Cindy and Ari.  Time to head back to Florida!

BTW, Cindy ran a 5K yesterday and beat her time from last year by a whopping 13 minutes!  GO CINDY!!

Time to clean the cabin and pack up.  THANK YOU, as always, for your greatly appreciated prayer, love and support!!!!

On January 12, 2010 in the late afternoon, Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake that took nearly 250,000 lives.

The next day, January 13, 2010, I borrowed a friends airplane and was the first private plane to land there.

It was a day I will never forget. BTW, it was also my birthday.

I will say this about the Haitian People...they are some of the most brave, creative and determined people on the face of the earth.

I have NEVER seen anyone deal with adversity with such courage.  I have seen this up close and personal for the last 39 years.  I THANK GOD for giving me the privilege to work in that country.

Excuse me for writing a brief blog today.  I cannot think of that day (January 12, 2010) without great sadness.

God bless you and THANK YOU for helping us to help others!

LOGS CATCH-UP

After obtaining my ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) Rating (1987), I became quite "tardy" in keeping my Flight Log book current.

Up until the 1500 hour requirement to take the ATP Check Ride, I logged each and every second of flight time.  After the check ride....let us say that I was not quite so diligent.

But....one advantage in keeping a Daily Blog is having  the ability to reconstruct each and every flight with accuracy.

For the last week, I've been doing just that.  That means that I have looked at well over a THOUSAND "Rambling" Blogs.

It has given me the opportunity to "re-live" so many missions from all over the world, following some of the worst disasters in modern recorded history.

All I can say is PRAISE GOD, for His amazing grace in allowing us to GO and bring help to those in desperate need.

And....I've been trying to write Book 2, following Book 1, "Run To The Roar".  Been working on Book 2 for a long time!

So, today, I go back in time and continue to record those flights and will soon have the old Flight Log Book all current.

Thank you, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

MIRACULOUSLY....NO CASUALTIES

After the massive 7.6 earthquake, there was little damage and NO CASUALTIES!  PRAISE GOD!!!

This certainly is a call for Air Mobile to prepare and get ready for what lies ahead.  We know the devastation of earthquakes and know that CLEAN WATER is always at the top of the most-needed list.

So, we move ahead securing components for the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier.  We're continuing our pursuit of the large(r) aircraft to help us to get to the disaster (wherever it may occur) rapidly and with a full load.

My prayer is for our Lord Jesus to lead us each step of the way.

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to..."Trust in the Lord with all our heart, lean not on our own understanding, in all our ways acknowledge Him...and He shall direct our path!" AMEN!

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE - 7.6 - ROCKS CARIBBEAN!!

What may be the strongest earthquake - 7.6 - to hit the Caribbean in modern history struck last night.

MASSIVE 7.6 EARTHQUAKE STRIKES THE CARIBBEAN

Tsunami warnings were issued but later rescinded.  The region was spared major damage.  Reports are still coming in on this monster quake.

This further points toward 2018 as being the year of the "Monster Earthquakes".

Our mechanic, Paul, is performing routine maintenance on the Little Donkey.  I'll be checking in with him this morning to get a progress report.

Air Mobile may be heading to the region "sooner than later".

You may recall, I recently pointed to this article - GEOLOGISTS SEE 2018 AS YEAR OF "MONSTER QUAKES"

This graph indicates the correlation between the slow-down in the earths rotation and the increase in mega quakes.  Could we be there??

At any rate, Air Mobile is gearing up for a busy season with disasters heading our way.

As I say every day and sincerely mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

GETTING BY....WITHOUT ELECTRICITY

One of the benefits of the "Retreat Cabin" is knowing that if....the electricity were to go out, we could get by quite nicely.

The faithful old wood-stove provides heat and...the ability to cook about anything.

In the natural course of woods, trees die and fall.  Therein lies an almost unlimited supply of fuel for heat and cooking.

Just add a few candles or a solar panel or two and voila...WHO NEEDS THE GRID!

The truth is...we don't know what the future holds but we do know Who holds the future.

Our Lord Jesus urges us to read not only the Book of Revelation, but the whole Word of God.

Not only will be blessed (according to His promise in Rev. 1:3), but our Faith will grow also. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God."

As many of you, who walk along this meandering path with me through this daily blog know, we travel to disaster areas and bring much needed clean water and food and medicine etc.

You see, it is not a matter of IF a disaster will come, but WHEN it will come.  Jesus tells us in John 16:33...."In the world you will have Tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world!

I'm also reminded of the simple Parable our Lord Jesus gave us of the 10 Virgins.  5 were wise and 5 were foolish.

The main difference between the two was, the wise had a little extra oil.  Hmmmm, that is quite a message for us all.

Now, I sincerely believe that the "Oil" represents the Holy Spirit.  We all need the Holy Spirit in our lives.

But....I also believe that we should PREPARE for worst and BELIEVE for the best.  Remember, Jesus will never leave you or forsake you!

Pardon me for "rambling on" a bit about this.  I frequently bring it up in the blog.  The main reason is that we know that we know that disasters are inevitable in this world.  May I urge you to simply pray and ask our Lord what you can do to prepare today.

It may be to pick up some extra batteries, or candles or lay up a little extra food.  Above all, ask our Lord to give you His Holy Spirit and that He may guide you and lead you today.

In the meantime, I've been doing what I can on this rainy, cold day.  Got the little lawn tractor all repaired and laid up some more firewood.

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for meandering down this path of life with me.  So appreciate your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

FINALLY....A DAY ABOVE FREEZING....MAYBE

Today, the temperature is forecast to reach 37 degrees.  I certainly hope so.

It's been so cold here at the cabin, haven't gotten out to do any work.  Maybe, today I can complete some needed repairs on the little lawn tractor.

BTW, with the (forecast?) rising temperature here...freezing rain is also in the forecast.  Ughhhh....this Florida / Louisiana boy is not used to such COLD weather.

One of the great advantages to all of this cold weather, and time in the cabin and stoking the fire, is slowly, methodically reading the Book of Revelation.

To keep the old wood stove burning, one must get up multiple times in the night and throw a log or two onto the fire.

It is in the still of the night, with the fire blazing, that I either read or listen to Revelation.

Can't begin to tell you how sweet this time is with the Lord, in the Word.

According to the Book of Revelation, there is a time of great tribulation coming on the earth.

It is good to know that our Lord Jesus has promised to NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US!

So, my studies continue and the work goes on and may our Lord Jesus lead us each step of the way, no matter what may come on this earth!

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

"SPENDING TIME WITH A "LEGEND"

The Haiti Earthquake of 2010 brought Stan Brock and I together.  When I first met this gentleman, I had no idea who he was.

He had a crisp British accent and was an excellent pilot and needed a few tips about "maneuvering" in and out of Haiti.

It was this photo, taken shortly after the earthquake that caused a dear friend of mine, Brian Tanis, to send a message expressing surprise that I knew Stan Brock.

According to Brian, "Stan is an absolute legend".

Was he right!!

Much has been written about this soft-spoken gentleman, but working with Stan over the last 8 years has left me inspired and challenged to do more for our Lord Jesus!

Here is just one "snippet" about Stan according to Wikipedia - STAN BROCK (PHILANTHROPIST) - WIKIPEDIA

Our most recent project has been exploring the possibilities of securing the use of a large aircraft to help our organizations (RAM & Air Mobile) to reach disaster areas quickly and with a FULL LOAD of personnel and supplies, i.e. clean water, food, medicine, etc.

This is a long and complicated journey, but we have embarked on it and find ourselves moving forward, slowly, but surely.

Yesterday, we spent several hours discussing the best way to reach this goal. We have a number prospective aircraft for this vital mission.  But....whatever we do will require a thorough "Operating Certificate" from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration).

Again, our Lord is providing us with wise counsel through a number of critical contacts.  Yesterday, we had an extensive conversation with a retired FAA Agent who is extremely knowledgeable about this process.

Stan has some of this process in place for the operation of the RAM DC-3 and we may be able to build on those records for the "large" aircraft.

That is what we are exploring at this time.

Before the phone call, I shot a quick video of Stan's office, the Command and Control Center for RAM.  Here it is -

As I've shared before, this is going to be a long and complicated journey, but most things worth pursuing are.  We have begun the journey and seek wisdom and direction from our Lord.

I'm reminded of the wise words from my first Pastor, Roy Stockstill.  One time, when I was facing a major obstacle and needed help, he told me...."Son, remember, God knows how to deploy His troops".  That is so true!!

So, on this very cold Sunday morning, -1 degree, it's time to get ready for Church and keeping the old wood stove stoked to keep that -1 degree out of the cabin!

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable and truly appreciated prayer, love and support!!

COLD RECORDS....BROKEN!

Oh, it's just flat out COLD here at the cabin and....all over the country & around the world!

Records are being shattered everywhere.  It's -5 degrees here at the cabin.

OK, don't get mad at me for saying this...but, we could use a little good old fashioned "Global Warming".  There I said it.

This morning, I'll be driving to Knoxville  to meet with Stan of RAM (Remote Area Medical).

In order to OPERATE a large aircraft (which we have not received... as of yet), we must have an OPERATING CERTIFICATE.

Today, Stan and I will be in contact with a retired FAA Officer who is quite knowledgeable about the proceedings to obtain such a Certificate.  We believe that our Lord has placed this gentleman in our path.

We are laying the foundation for the operation of a large aircraft, such as an MD-83.

Now, I've said this before, obtaining such an aircraft is a "long-shot", but we serve a God who specializes in "long shots"! With God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

A tool, such as this, would allow us to RAPIDLY mobilize anywhere in the world to bring life-saving help to those in desperate need.

I'm reminded of the Words of our Lord Jesus....I was hungry, thirsty, sick...when you've done it unto the least of these, you've done it unto Me!

We are simply proceeding, by faith, to lay the groundwork for such an operation.

Time to dress up, in layers, and hit the road for Knoxville to meet Stan of RAM.  THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

BRRRR & BRRRR!

I grew up in the South (Baton Rouge) and then, as a young man went to the Islands as a missionary & pretty much, have spent the rest of my life in the tropics.  I'm not used to this kind of cold!!

Here's more on this historic, bitter, deadly storm "Grayson" - DEADLY WINTER STORM "GRAYSON" DUMPS 20+" OF SNOW..IMPACTS 1000+ MILES!

But, I'm THANKFUL to have plenty of firewood to keep this little cabin warm!

And....just checked on where my Cindy is and it's 30 degrees with a windchill in the 20's!  Even Florida is not spared.

So, today will keep the fire going and may even venture out to work on the little tractor.  We'll see.

Continuing to read and study the Book of Revelation.  It's particularly pleasant to read this amazing Book while watching a "Fire Dance" in the old wood stove.

Wherever you are, you too are likely facing some unusual COLD!  I pray you're able to stay warm and safe!

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

BRRRRR & DEADLY!!!!!!!

Hurricane force winds, snow, ice and....there's more to come!

Here's more on Winter Storm Grayson - WINTER STORM GRAYSON TAKES DEADLY TURN

It's bitter cold here at the cabin with high winds and blowing snow.   Am very THANKFUL to have plenty of firewood.

It's a good time to do some repairs on the little lawn tractor.  Better to be in the, somewhat warm, tool room / garage than out in this bitter cold.

BTW, changing that pulley was a bear.  Had to heat it up with the torch to get the old one off.

In between the chores, have been slowly and thoughtfully reading the Book of Revelation.

Oh, there is so much that I don't understand in this amazing Book, but....the more I read it, the more I get Blessed.

While here at the cabin, I'm awaiting our next meetings with Remote Area Medical (RAM).

Stan Brock and I are working hard toward getting a "Large(r) Aircraft".  The RAM HQ is just over an hour drive from the cabin.

My Cindy is facing a "hard" freeze (for Florida, that is).  It's going to get down to 30 degrees in Central Florida.

More of "Grayson's" doing!  This is a very bad Winter Storm.  Take a look at this Sat Image, it looks like a Hurricane!

So, wherever you are, you're likely cold.  Stay warm!!

THANK YOU, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart!  Thank you for your precious prayer, love and support!!

CRAZY COLD!!!

Snow from Maine to Florida! This is just gripping and bitter.  Every few hours up last night throwing logs into the wood stove....to keep that bitter cold out of the cabin.

Cindy and Ari hit the road yesterday morning for Florida.  I was relieved to hear that they arrived safe and sound last night.

I'm taking advantage of the cold to just stay in the snug, warm cabin and reading the Book of Revelation.

The good thing about that Book (Revelation) is just by READING it, one receives blessings from God.

You know, each time I read the Book, it seems that the key to understanding it gets a bit more clear.

It's time to put on the pot of grits and have some Cajun sausage for breakfast.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

TRAIL-BLAZING

Cindy began "Blazing" a trail to the top of the ridge.  Yesterday I joined her on the quest.

The "dead of winter" is a good time to do this as it makes it much easier than slugging through a lot of undergrowth.

We were making good time, laying out markers along the way, when I swung the machete and it bounced back hit me right in the shin....ouch!

Now, if any of you have traveled with me on missions, you know that I ALWAYS carry a bandanna.

As a matter of fact, I could write a book on the many uses of a simple bandanna.

It wasn't long before I tied up the bloody wound, and we headed back down the mountain to the cabin.

The simple moral of the story is to always carry a bandanna.  You never know when you'll need it.

Here are some good ideas....98 Uses for a Bandanna

Cindy and Ari will be driving back to Florida today.  I'm sad.  Gonna miss them.

PLEASE remember them in prayer today at they travel.  It is bitter cold and there may be ice along the way.

I'll remain up at the cabin, as we have more meetings with RAM (Remote Area Medical) as we're laying the groundwork for a "Large Aircraft" and the operation thereof.

This is a major project and one that must be done with a lot of prayer and wisdom.

So Folks, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

2018 -  A PERFECT TIME TO PLAN

Had a wonderful meeting with Stan Brock, President & Founder of Remote Area Medical (RAM).

After dropping Peter, our son, at Knoxville International early yesterday morning, I swung by the RAM HQ where Stan and I discussed plans for 2018.

Even as I type, RAM Volunteers are preparing for a major medical outreach in Haiti.

Air Mobile was able to help get critical supplies into Haiti for this mission.

This is a perfect example as to how RAM and Air Mobile work together around the world.  Stan and I are both challenged and encouraged by what lies ahead in 2018.

Among our plans in 2018 is the possible usage of a larger aircraft to carry out our missions of mercy around the globe.

We're presently looking at a beautiful MD-83 owned by Tri-Star Experience in Kansas City, MO.

Now Folks, I'll tell you, this a "long-shot", as there are many, many details to work out, but...."WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!"  We're believing God for a Miracle to see this come to pass.

An aircraft of this type would allow us to arrive at any disaster around the world with a RAM Medical Team, Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers and team members ("Water Mules")  to deploy them and supplies and food.

With just one flight, we could bring in clean water for hundreds of thousands, critical medical care and food for thousands!  WOW!

Again, we are seeking our Lord's will and direction in this matter.  I am ever reminded of the Words of our Lord Jesus in Matthew 25:34-36.....

So, on this bitterly cold first day of 2018, we're staying warm (glad for that firewood we cut and split).

It's 5 degrees outside at our little cabin in the mountains of East TN ...BRRRR!

Cindy and I are believing our Lord Jesus for great things ahead.  We don't know what 2018 holds, but we do know WHO does!!

God bless you and THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!!
