THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES....JANUARY 2019

MISSIONS DAY....IN THE "GREAT OUTDOORS"

We're very grateful for the Believers in the "Great Outdoors Church" in Titusville, FL!

This GREAT Church has supported the efforts of Air Mobile around the world.

Today is "Missions Day" and it's an honor to set up a display with the Rescuer water purifier.

And...we're going to include something new in the display...our "Delivery System".

Typically, following disasters, the best way to get the Air Mobile Rescuer into hard to reach areas is by motorcycle.  And...another benefit is that the motorcycle can provide the POWER to run the unit.

It just so happens that we have a little motorcycle and it's the right color...YELLOW to match the Rescuer!

So, it's time to get on with this beautiful day in sunny Florida.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

WHERE WE'VE  BEEN....WHERE WE'RE GOING

Recently, my good friend Joe Prussel asked me to lay out all of the places we've deployed Air Mobile Rescuers.

WOW!  And, we've only just begun!!

BTW, the "Color Code" doesn't mean anything.  I was just running out of arrows.

Yesterday, I mentioned how my good friend and Brother in Christ, Joe Polozola encouraged me with Psalm 103.

I'm still listening and being blessed, not only by that Psalm, but by the others.  David had an awesome gift and is still sharing it...2700 years later!  AMAZING!!

One thing I failed to do yesterday is, share a link to that great Psalm (103) with you.

Here it is, with a single click....enjoy - PSALM 103 NKJV

So, today we're working on placing some more arrows on the map.  It's encouraging to see all the places that we've been, but we're also aware of how many places we've yet to go...WITH HIS HELP!

And as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for walking down this road of life with us.  Your prayer, love and support is invaluable!!

"BLESS THE LORD, OH MY SOUL..."

Sometimes, in between "Missions", my heart gets heavy and sad.

I have a dear friend, a true Brother in Christ, whom I can call anytime.  His name is Joe and he introduced me to Jesus 48 years ago.

I'm eternally grateful to Joe for taking the time (and it was a long time) to pray for me and ultimately lead me to the Throne of Grace.

Well, yesterday evening I called Joe and simply asked him to pray for me.  His prayer was wrapped around Psalm 103..."Bless the Lord, Oh my soul..."

Almost instantly, the heaviness left.  Even my blood pressure went down and for the rest of the evening and early this morning, I've been listening to the Anointed Words of the Psalmist David.

I put in my Blue Tooth and listen to the audio on YouVersion and the heaviness simply flees as the Word of God, and His Amazing Grace penetrates to the deepest valleys.

Thank God for good friends who are there to pray with you when in need.

So, this morning, sipping a delicious cup of coffee (a gift from God), "This day that our Lord has made" is now filled with hope and joy.

Again, THANK GOD for precious friends, like you, who stand together with me with your precious prayer, love and support!!!

CRAZY COLD IN AMERICA....-75!!!!!!

Whoa, never seen it this cold.  Sure hope and pray that folks can stay in and stay warm.  -75 degrees (windchill) is insane!

This is certainly one for the record books.

AS POLAR VORTEX TIGHTENS IT'S GRIP ON U.S. MIDWEST, "ACCUWEATHER REAL FEEL" TEMPS PLUMMET TO -75 DEGREES!!

We particularly pray for the homeless & vulnerable as this terrible Polar Vortex tightens it's grip!

Here's more - AS HISTORIC COLD BLASTS MIDWEST, CITIES FOCUS ON THE HOMELESS AND VULNERABLE

So, though it's quite chilly here in Florida, our PRAYERS go out to all who are gripped by this terrible cold.

Looks like we'll be placing several Air Mobile Rescuers in a school in Belize (180 students).

I'll be traveling there with my good friend and brother John Clarke.  Please pray with us that all of the funds come in for this vital project.

BTW, John and I worked closely following Hurricane Matthew bringing in food and water to the needy.

And, as always,  THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

WATER MULES....

THANK GOD for folks who help bring clean water to the thirsty!  I call them "Water Mules".

They come in all shapes and sizes, from Executive Chefs to Business Owners to high school students and the list goes on and on.

This morning, Tom Camp will be coming by.  Tom helped me in the Dominican Republic last week.  Tom's a real "trooper".

In this clip, Tom takes not one sip, but two from a very dirty bucket of water....AFTER it was purified by the Air Mobile Rescuer.

Yes, surely our Lord knows how to deploy His troops!!

Then, there's John Clarke.  Yes, a retired Executive Chef who LOVES to feed hungry people.

John and I worked together following Hurricane Florence in the Panhandle.

He dropped everything and rushed to ground zero.  We brought food and water to the needy.

John is working in his "Food Pantry" this morning handing out food to hundreds of folks.

Afterwards, we're getting together to discuss how to get clean water to hundreds of students in Belize.  We have the "Technology" to do something about that!!

Where would we be without so many good folks who stand with us in this outreach?  And of course, our Lord has sent you to stand with us with your precious prayer, love and support!  THANK YOU!!

STAY....

On this chilly Monday morning, sitting in front of my laptop with a cup of coffee in hand, I ponder this day that our Lord has made.

BTW, that is Stan Brock (Founder of Remote Area Medical) holding a huge Harpy Eagle.  I sure do miss Stan.

I must tell you (without giving any specific details - Confidentiality Rules) that we had a great day of ministry in the Hospital in Orlando.

It is such a joy to simply share the Love of God and bring the Good News of Jesus!!

I believe that new names have been written down in Glory!  What an honor and privilege to be able to share Jesus!!

Yesterday evening, Dave Walen and I made some great plans toward getting the aircraft that will help us to get the Little Donkey back in the air.  Oh, I've missed that sweet bird.

Well, it's time to get on with this day.  My prayer is to STAY on course.  And, I THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

AT HOME....

Whether we're in Guinea West Africa, or Titusville, FL....people are hurting everywhere.

May we all be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and be where He wants us to be and do what He wants us to do.

Today, as we do each Sunday, we'll be ministering in a Hospital and reaching out to folks who are hurting.  This is what our Lord Jesus did while on this earth.

It's not easy and there are times that I just don't want to go. But when we consider the love of God and how we can bring that love to a hurting world, He gives us the strength to Go in His Name.

Of course, when I recall how our Lord Jesus reached into my heart in those dark hours, I know that I have  His love to share!

So, we go forth in His Name leaning heavily upon Him.  THANKS, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!

REST....

On this beautiful, chilly Saturday in Florida, I'm simply going to rest, or shall I say..."Attempt to Rest".

I chuckle when I recall the Scripture in Hebrews 11 ...."Labor that you might enter into His rest".

I've found my biggest challenge is simply turning my brain "down".

Just sitting at my desk, there's the computer, e-mail, cell phone, Facebook, Messenger, maps, memories of people suffering and etc. etc. ....it's just hard to turn all that stuff off.

I've found that "YouVersion", the Bible App helps.  I simply put in my Blue Tooth, load a good Book, like Hebrews and listen.

BTW, it's a FREE APP works great.  If you don't have it, give it a try.  I love it!

But, it's still hard to just sit and listen.  My quest goes on to LABOR to enter into God's Rest!

I think that Paul (or whoever wrote Hebrews) nailed it by putting in the descriptive word...LABOR!

So, today, I'm going to do my best, with His help, to just Enter Into His Rest!

And, I know that I say this every single day, but I truly mean it....THANK YOU for your invaluable PRAYER, LOVE AND SUPPORT!!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED...FOR THE MOMENT & HOME SWEET HOME

It's usually a bitter-sweet moment to head home after the "Mission" has been accomplished.

There's always...so much more to do.  But alas, time to board the plane and head home.

Spent nearly a week with my good friend, Joe Prussel & "Company" (a huge team of wonderful volunteers).

We were able to deliver literally tons of food, shoes, toys and CLEAN WATER to a desperate community of Haitian "refugees" located on the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic.

All I can say is that their situation and plight is extremely volatile and unpredictable.  However, with our Lord's help and grace, we were able to bring much needed help and demonstrate the Love of God!  PRAISE GOD!!

Here are a few thoughts while on-board the "Spirit" flight back home.

Today, I've hit the ground running...so to speak.  We may have an opportunity to bring CLEAN WATER and so much more to a West African Country.  The pursuit and quest goes on!  As it develops, I'll share more details.

As I say every single day, and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU & THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

GO TEAM! - POWERFUL DEMONSTRATION.....GOOD PRESENTATION

I can't say enough about Bob Landrum (of ABC Supply Co.) and Joe Prussel (Karnak) for putting this amazing outreach together!  We arrived in the "Village" with a team of Volunteers ready to GO!

While the food and gifts were being "delivered", I took a team of "Water Mule Trainees" to the local school where we'd be training the operators on the Air Mobile Rescuer.

After explaining the simple set-up, it's time to get to business and DEMONSTRATE the powerful machine.

I fill a bucket with water and then make it quite dirty by putting a sandal and local foot in the bucket and then....Yes, I drink the water.

One of our "Water Mule" trainees, Tom, also took a drink and then a second drink.

The question is....??  DOES IT WORK??

All present, trainees and locals agree, YES IT DOES!!

The local trainees were excellent students (they are also Teachers at the local school).

As we were wrapping up the training, Bob and a Team of Volunteers showed up at the school to give all of the kids back-packs stuffed with goodies.

We then made the Presentation of the Air Mobile Rescuers to the School Principle who will be responsible to make CLEAN WATER available to all of the students and those in the local area.

PRAISE GOD!!

We all met back at the bus and had this group shot.

Not only did we deliver wonderful gifts, food, shoes, clothes, clean water, etc.   but we shared the simple Love of God!!

I'll tell you, I was personally BLESSED to be part of this sweet outreach.

The fact that all of these Volunteers gave of their time and money to help those less fortunate brought home the Words of Jesus....It is more blessed to give than to receive!!

And this brings me to you!  THANK YOU for joining me on this "Mission" with your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

SMOOTH TRANSFER...OF BLESSINGS!

I can't say enough about the "Volunteers" who are guests at a spectacular resort (HARD ROCK) and how they're giving of their time and effort to help those who are less fortunate.

Our Team is getting the "System" down and working and it's working great.

We arrived back in the Haitian Community loaded with blessings.  We immediately headed out to "Deliver" the food boxes.

Each contained ingredients for a full week of food.  Once the food train was going smoothly, my job was to find the best place to deploy the Air Mobile Rescuers.

My challenge was finding an acceptable "source" of water to purify.

This would require quite a bit of "foot work" going throughout the sprawling "refugee camp" and searching.

We found a number of "private" wells throughout the community.

Here's a bit more on how the system works.  Even though a location for the deployment had not been finalized, it was a good time to set up the unit and give a quick training.

I love to make the source water a bit more dirty by having a young man put his dirty flip flop and foot into the bucket.

This usually gets the full attention of the audience.

Then, I turn the Rescuer on, let it run for a minute, and then, with a bit of a dramatic flair....I DRINK!

At that point, the folks know that the RESCUER WORKS!!

Today, we'll select the best locations to place the Rescuers!

After returning to the buses, we got a group shot of our intrepid team.

For this day....

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

So, today, we're up early and heading out again to bring more food, blessings and clean water to the "least of these".

PRAISE GOD, what a privilege and blessing to be able to do this.

THANK YOU for joining us on this journey through life, bringing the love of God to those in need!

And above all, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

TEAM EFFORT...."A LOTTA LOVE!!" BIG BLESSINGS!

The Day began at the Hard Rock with volunteers preparing a huge blessing for folks less fortunate.  Here Joe Prussel describes what is happening.  The "Team" effort was amazing.

A special "shout-out" to Bob Landrum of ABC Supply Company for his incredible leadership and "grit" to make this happen.

When we arrived in the "Community", a bit of "Chaos" broke out and we needed to figure out the best way to "deliver" these BLESSINGS!

Any time one tries to distribute gifts, there are logistical challenges.  It didn't take us long to figure out the way to do this.

We sent "Teams" directly to the homes of the recipients and it worked very well.  Again, there was a lot of love in the delivery.

As we were preparing to load back into our bus, it was hard to leave the kids.  What a wonderful outreach!!

Our leadership Team worked hard to make this outreach successful.  Praise God for WISDOM & GRACE!!

Today is Day 2 of this outreach of LOVE!!  THANK YOU & THANK YOU AGAIN, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

"STAGING".....AT THE HARD ROCK

Several months ago, Joe Prussel asked if I'd like to be part of an outreach to a large Haitian Community in the Dominican Republic.

"You bet!" was my instant reply!  So many pieces have come together with the Hand of God!!

Yesterday, we arrived at the Hard Rock Resort (our "STAGING" area) and began the process of preparing "Gift Boxes" for literally thousands of Haitians.

An AMAZING THANKS to ABC Supply Company, for making this event possible.

Literally hundreds of Volunteers, who had been awarded this "Get Away" to the Hard Rock, have stepped forward to reach out to those less fortunate!!

Yesterday, our Team unloaded several trucks that were heavy laden with food, hygiene, shoes an so much more.

All throughout the day, the "Food Pantry" grew.  Thousands of Haitians are about to be blessed with Food, Hygiene, Shoes, Toys and CLEAN WATER!!

In between this extremely busy day, I came across this classic Hot Rod.

It was a gift from Sammy Hagar (AKA:  The Red Rocker) to his Tour Manager, Scotty Ross.

You never know what you'll stumble across at the Hard Rock!

So, today, we strike out bearing gifts and the Love of God for those in need!  PRAISE GOD for this wonderful opportunity!!!

THANK YOU, as always, for your faithful and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

ON THE GROUND...IN THE DOMINICAN

Joe and Lydia Prussel picked me up and drove to Orlando International,  to launch our "Mission" to the Dominican Republic (DR).

I must tell you, it's a pure joy working with Joe & Lydia.  We've brought clean water all over the world together and these guys are GREAT WATER MULES!!

Had a perfect flight from Orlando to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (DR).

Upon landing, we encountered an "enthusiastic" Customs Agent who insisted that we pay customs and duty on these donated water purifiers.

He was doing his job and being very thorough.  WE PRAYED!!

Our Lord opened his heart.... and he agreed that we should just go and bring CLEAN WATER to thirsty folks.  PRAISE GOD!!

Once we cleared Customs, we met at our staging area.  The rest of our Leadership Team arrived and we began our Planning Meeting.

As our "Mission" unfolds, we'll give more details.

Oh, I'm very excited to be back in Punta Cana.  The last time I was here, flew the Little Donkey in to get fuel before going to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.

Can't begin to tell you what a joy it is to serve the Lord in this way.   Am ever reminded of the Words of Lord Jesus...."I was thirsty and you gave Me to drink".....

"When you've done it unto the least of these, my Brethren, you've done it unto Me"

BTW, that is this very Scripture that we shared with the Customs Agent when we arrived.

So, it's time to get to work on this beautiful day in Punta Cana.  THANK YOU, as always, for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

While in Haiti recently, Barbara had me bring back some extra dental tools that could be used in other countries.

Our dear friend and brother, Dr. Steve Henly (a great dentist!) came over to the house and picked them up yesterday.

Dr. Steve has traveled around the world sharing his gift of good dentistry.

We've had the privilege to travel with Steve and he's a pure joy to work with in the field.

And...we're never far away from the "Next Mission".

Joe Prussel and I will be departing tomorrow for the Dominican Republic(DR).

We'll be bringing in 4 Air Mobile Rescuers to be deployed in a large Haitian Community that has major problems getting CLEAN WATER!  Praise God for this opportunity!!

I'll not share any details about where we are going in the DR for Security reasons.

PLEASE join us in prayer that all goes well as we launch into this area of great need.

Had a peaceful, quiet day beginning with delicious crepes with my Cindy.

We visited the Le Crave during it's soft opening in Titus Landing in Titusville.  Nice way to start the day.

Then, my good friend and GREAT WATER MULE, Joe Prussel came over to spend some time in the Word.

In this shot, Joe and I are bringing clean water to Nepal following a devastating earthquake.

Joe and I have a particular interest in the Study of the End Times.

Folks, we see Signs everywhere of the soon coming of our Lord Jesus and we say....the sooner the better!!

Of course, we always go back to Matthew 24 & 25 where Jesus describes what will be happening before His return.

Here's a link to Matthew 24.  Take a look and you'll see.  MATTHEW 24 ESV

RESCUER BLUE TO BARBARA BLUE TO JET BLUE

Barbara loves the color blue.  She says that God must love blue also....just look at the sky.  Barb is also rather famous for always wearing a "Blue Dress".  Thus her name...."Rambo in the Blue Dress".

BTW, we call her that because of her incredible determination, courage and grit.  Barb has rescued over 3000 children, including our own Juliet and Ariana.  We love Barb!!

Well, in all the world, there is only 1 Air Mobile Rescuer with deep BLUE module and it belongs to Barbara.

Among the Rescuers that were refurbished yesterday, was Barb's special Blue one.

Spent the rest of yesterday refurbishing these "Miracle Machines" that can take the most contaminated water and make it pure.

The Rescuer is a true "Game Changer" following any disaster.

I'm pleased to say that we now have 348 Rescuers all throughout Haiti.  We have over 1300 Rescuers in 47 countries around the world....and we've just begun!!

Then, I headed to the Port-au-Prince airport and boarded an afternoon, Jet Blue flight back to Orlando.

My son, Christian picked me up to take me out for our traditional Birthday meal.

We went to Outback and enjoyed a delicious steak.  THANK YOU CHRISTIAN!! What a day!!

Cindy is up early making me a "Chocolate Trifle" (my favorite).

Then we're off to Church and to the Hospital to share the Good News of Jesus with those who are suffering.  PRAISE GOD!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your invaluable and faithful prayer, love and support!!!

9 YEARS AGO TODAY....

As I sit at my "Haiti Desk" this morning, my mind goes back to that urgent phone call from Barbara 9 years ago.

She called me when the earthquake was actually happening!  Hundreds of thousands died.

In response to Barb's call, we mobilized rapidly.  We were the first private plane to land in Haiti after the earthquake.

We landed the next day, January 13, 2010. It is a day, I will never forget (it was also my birthday).

My good friend, Roger Miller, made this video telling the story.  Roger does an amazing job of capturing this terrible tragedy.

AIR MOBILE JOE AFTER HAITI EARTHQUAKE

In the midst of this horrible disaster, our Lord performed so many miracles.  And PRAISE GOD, He is still performing miracles!!

Yesterday, I had the privilege to introduce my friend, Brent Woodson to the Director General of OFNAC, Olivier Jean.

Brent has an ambitious plan to help develop Haiti.  May God's will be done!!

After those meetings, I returned to Joe's Depot and brought some Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers back to life.

I love this "Miracle Machine" that can take the most contaminated water and make it pure!

The remarkable thing about the "Rescuer" is that it can be refurbished again and again again!

Today, I'll be back in the shop bringing more machines back to life and helping to keep the CLEAN WATER flowing!!

THANK YOU, as always, for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

LIVE FROM HAITI &...NOT A "CHANCE" MEETING

Boarded a Jet Blue flite to Haiti yesterday.  The TSA lines were not too bad.  Landed on time and Barbara (AKA:  "Rambo in the Blue Dress") was there to pick me up.  It's been a while since I've flown into Haiti on a Commercial airline (I usually fly the Little Donkey to Haiti).

Had some critical components for Air Mobile Rescuers to keep the clean water flowing.  Also have a proposal for the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system that will increase the safety for all arriving and departing aircraft.  Noble missions!

An unusual thing happened before boarding the Jet Blue flight.  I heard my name called at the Jet Blue gate.

The Agent asked if I'd like to sit in an "Exit Row".  I certainly agreed and told  the agent that I was an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and glad to assist.

After boarding, I made a quick video (above), and the gentleman sitting next to me asked if I was a missionary.  His name was Rod. He was a Haitian who served in the U.S. Army and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.  He also loved Jesus and was returning to Haiti to share the Good News.

We had a delightful time on the flight.  He shared the Scriptures for the foundation of his sermons.   I told him how Jet Blue "re-arranged" my seat for this "Exit Row".  He smiled and told how his original seat had been "re-arranged" also.

We both realized that it was neither an "accident" or just "chance" that we were sitting next to each other.  We exchanged contact information.  It will likely not be the last time that Rod and I meet.

So, here I am sitting at the Haiti Desk sipping a cup of coffee and about to embark into this beautiful day that our Lord has made.

THANK YOU, as always for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

NEXT MISSION?

There are times that situations arise that require immediate attention.

Such is the case today.  I'll be boarding a commercial flight and heading to......

After I arrive and get settled in, will let you know where I am.

We're moving steadily ahead on getting the Little Donkey back in the air.  Sure will be glad to have this great tool back!!

In the meantime, I'm certainly grateful for Commercial airlines and for friends who have aircraft to loan.

Today, flying Commercial works just fine.

I sure hope that TSA is in force and will not cause excessive delays.

So, it's time to head to the airport.  As I say every single day, and certainly mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

BACK TO (FLIGHT) TRAINING...

So good to be back in the cockpit.  The trusty Cessna 172 has been down for maintenance.  It's now all ready to fly again.

In the meantime, I've been studying the "Pilot Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge" and mixing in a little FAR/AIM (Aeronautical Information Manual). Actually, pretty interesting reading.

As I've shared before, I can fly a plane (9000+ hours), but this intense study into the "Fundamentals" and learning how to actually "TEACH IT" is another matter. And....I'm loving it!

Time to continue the training.  We'll be polishing up on a series of maneuvers and prepping for the "Check Ride".

OK, I'll admit it.... I'm loving it!!!  Still can't get over how good our Lord is, to let us do something that we love (so much)!

Heading to the airport to go FLY!

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

SEEKING WISDOM...

In reading Proverbs 8 this morning, I was struck with the admonition to seek God's Wisdom.  What a powerful Word!

As we go through life, we find ourselves needing God's Wisdom.

I certainly do.  Often, there are so many choices, so many ways that we can go.

But alas, in the midst of it all, our Lord offers us His Wisdom and He has plenty to give and He wants to give it to us.

WOW, what a mighty God we serve!!

So, today, as I go forth, I'm asking our Lord to guide me each step of the way.

Now, if you find yourself in need of God's Wisdom today, may I encourage you to read Proverbs 8.

Here's a link.  Just click on it and take about 5 minutes to read it and your day will go better.   PROVERBS 8 NKJV

And, I want you to know just how much I appreciate you and your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

WE USED TO SAY...."THE PHONE IS RINGING OFF THE HOOK...."

Now days, there are emails and cell phones, which have no hook, but they do vibrate and flash a little strobe light.

At any rate, we've been busy.  We're looking at placing water purifiers in about 10 countries right now.

The challenge is funding, but we know that our Lord WILL PROVIDE!

Hudson Taylor, the great Missionary to China said it well!!

"GOD'S WORK DONE IN GOD'S WAY WILL NEVER LACK GOD'S SUPPLY..."

Here's what Wikipedia had to say about Hudson - HUDSON TAYLOR ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA

Of course, I'm ever reminded of the Words of our Lord Jesus...."I was thirsty and you gave Me drink..."

Bringing CLEAN WATER opens the door to bring the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS!!

So today, as we seek ways to bring clean water to the thirsty, may we be led by our Lord Jesus each step of the way.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

CRISP GLORIOUS DAY

What a lovely day here in Florida!  It's a nippy 55 degrees and crystal clear skies.

After church today, Cindy and I will be in the Hospital in Orlando as Chaplains.

Can't begin to tell you what a joy and privilege it is to conduct these services.  We're now celebrating our 22nd Year.

We're EXTREMELY THANKFUL for this OPEN DOOR to proclaim the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS to those who are suffering.

Well, it's time to head out the door.

THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

THANKFUL....

As the sun peeked into our bedroom this morning, I was overwhelmed by our Lord's goodness.

The bed was so comfortable.  I remembered our pantry was full to overflowing.  There was running water, electricity, perfect temperature.

Oh, our Lord is so good.  May I be ever mindful of His grace and goodness!

I just had to share that this morning.  It's good to stop and take inventory and simply begin to list our blessings.

The amazing thing is, once you begin listing the blessings, you'll find that the list is quite long! By doing so, the rest of the day will go better.

GOD IS GOOD...

ALL THE TIME!!

So, there I go preaching again.  Sometimes, it's good to just encourage yourself by just counting one's blessings!

May you be blessed beyond measure today!

And I know I say this every day, but I mean it with all of my heart....THANK YOU for joining me on this journey through life.

I so appreciate your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

WHAT IS A "SUGAR GLIDER"???

Since Ari was a little girl, she's wanted a "Sugar Glider".

I'm not sure how she even found out about these precious creatures.  Well, she got 2 and oh...are they sweet and cute!!

This gift was the result of Ari publishing her first book (Parasols & Peril at Amazon) and getting Straight A's in school.

She surely "earned" Pippin & Maple (of course the 2 little "Gliders" were quickly named).

We put those little ones in a blue pouch and brought them home.  Ari was overwhelmed by this gift!

Today, I'll be in a meeting with the Harris Corporation.  We'll be discussing ATC Opportunities around the globe.

On another note, I spoke with the owner of the aircraft that will help us to get Ti Burik back in in the air.  We're making excellent progress on the funding.

We're VERY CLOSE to the final purchase number.  PRAISE GOD!!  And THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!!

THANK GOD FOR CELL PHONES & MORE....

Oh, it seems like yesterday (1978) that I was going for my Tech Plus Ham Radio License.

In Haiti, this was our way to call home (to the U.S.) from our mission outpost (very limited telephone lines).

Actually had to be able to send / receive 5 words per minute on the old telegraph key to pass the test to get the license.  I barely made it.

Then, we discovered how to "unlock" our 2 meter hand-held radios and actually get a dial tone.  Our first "home-made" cell phones.

Now, fast-forward to this morning. I casually lifted my I-Phone 8 Plus to my ear and phoned Haiti and spoke with the RAM (Remote Area Medical) Team leader there.

Last night, on that same I-Phone had an extensive conversation with a friend in Switzerland.  Oh, the wonder of technology!!

I'm not even going to begin to tell you the incredible advancements made in the Cockpit.  GARMIN has transformed the world of Avionics.

Just take a look at the wonderful Garmin Panel in Ti-Burik!

Back in the day, flying to Haiti through the "Bermuda Triangle" with only a few ADF (Automatic Direction Finder) Stations hundreds of miles apart, made for pretty challenging and sometimes, treacherous journeys.

I don't know. Was just sitting here this morning thinking about how far we've come and I'M THANKFUL!!! Sure does make our job easier.

However, we are very dependent upon this technology and would likely not do very well without it.

Maybe I should keep the old ham radio tuned up and remember how to "Dead Reckon" navigation.  Just something to think about on this 3rd day in 2019.

Just "rambling" on this morning.  At any rate, I PRAISE GOD for these wonderful tools and pray that I use them for His Glory.

May you blessed today and as I say every single day, THANK  YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

TIME TO GET..."BACK TO WORK"

Well, it's January 2, 2019 and the phone has already started ringing and I'm in the middle of a Conference Call (as I type this blog) regarding some interesting projects in Haiti....& BEYOND!

Nice way to start 2019!  May GOD'S WILL BE DONE!!!

I just finished the Conference Call and am continuing the blog. BTW, the call was AMAZING!!

I never cease to marvel at how our Lord puts people & things together!

I'm reminded of the sage words of a wise old pastor, Roy Stockstill (AKA - Brother Roy).

As a rookie missionary, I was facing some big challenges and I shared the situation with Brother Roy.

He looked at me and smiled with that little twinkle and said..."Son, don't forget, God knows how to deploy His troops".

After all these years, I've never forgotten those wise words of wisdom.  I've seen the miraculous Hand of God, time and time again, send in just the "troops" we needed to accomplish the mission!

He would also remind me, when I was in a particularly difficult situation, he would say with that smile of his...."Son, this too shall pass"

THANK YOU, BROTHER ROY, for those wise and precious words.

BTW, Brother Roy went on to be with Jesus at the age of 97.  Sure do miss him!

Well, today, is day 2 of 2019 and we're already seeing some amazing things on the horizon for this new year.  It's time to tighten that seat belt and hold on for the ride.  PRAISE GOD!!

I'm also extremely grateful to have you on-board with us.

Your prayer, love and support is more precious than you know.  THANK YOU!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Day One of 2019.  So, here we are in a New Year.  What a marvelous time to PRAY for His will be done in our lives.

As I get older, my theology gets simpler.  I find myself asking our Lord..."Just what do you want me to do today"?

Then, as the day goes on, I have to remind myself (repeatedly)of this simple prayer..... as the cares of this world surely will, and do come.

Dear Lord Jesus, THANK YOU for these precious Words!!!

Today, as you walk into January 1, 2019, may you lift your eyes toward heaven and ask our Lord, "What do you want me to do today"?

That's a great way to start this New Year.

And I know that I say this every single day, but I mean it with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious and invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

May 2019 be the best year of your life!!!
