BIG LOU'S POND...

We're always working on projects here at the "Retreat Cabin".  Our latest....a new duck pond for Lou and his girls.

BTW, I'm feeling much better and want to THANK YOU for your prayers for healing from those nasty spider bites!

Still not up to traveling, but definitely getting better.  PRAISE GOD!

Because we're expecting some new arrivals...it's time give our ducks a new pond and yard.

So, I'll be digging the hole for new pond today.

As I say every single day and mean with all of my heart...THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

SAM IS REAL!!

Cindy introduced Sam (from India) to the Little Mulberry Baptist Church yesterday morning.  This short video clip explains...."SAM IS REAL".

We all were blessed to hear Sam's presentation.

Sam did an amazing job of describing the conditions  in India and especially.... "Who are the Untouchables"?

We were all moved, some to tears.

Air Mobile has worked closely with Sam and his family for 7 years.

We love Sam and so appreciate his dedication and Love for our Lord Jesus!

Early this morning, we put Sam on a flight to Chicago where he will continue his outreach.

THANKS Sam for sharing this time with us.

And THANK YOU, all who ramble down this road of life with us.  We so appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

FRESH FIRE MOVEMENT...

Air Mobile was invited to a lovely Day in the Park in Knoxville.

The event, "FRESH FIRE MOVEMENT" brought together great preaching and music.

Our good friend and Brother in Christ, Mark Scarbrough, along with Pastors Gage & Jeremy Graham, arranged a great spot for us to set up the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier.

We had a steady flow of folks come by and see the remarkable Air Mobile Rescuer.

A perfect opportunity to RECRUIT Volunteers.

I love telling the story of how bringing CLEAN WATER to the THIRSTY opens amazing doors to share Christ.

It was great having Sam, from India with us.  Always a joy having Sam join us in ministry.

While I'm recovering from those nasty spider bites, Cindy, Sam and Ari did all of the "heavy lifting".

I was able to just sit and relax and tell our story of God's Amazing Grace in our lives.

It was a wonderful day at the park!!

This morning, Sam will be sharing his work in India with our Local Church, Little Mulberry Baptist.

We love Sam and his family.  Sam is a 4th generation Christian and loves the Lord with all of his heart!

Meanwhile, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support.  I'm definitely getting better from those spider bites!!

REMEMBERING LARRY....

Today will be the Memorial Service in Merritt Island, FL, for my dear friend and Brother-in- Christ, Larry Junker who passed away recently.

Here's more on my dear Brother - LARRY JUNKER MEMORIAL

I had planned to fly the Little Donkey down to Florida and be part of the Memorial Service but... wisdom says I should stay back and recover from those wicked spider bites.

Larry will be sorely missed by many and especially by his dear Ann (Precious wife of 66 years) and his children and grand children.

Our comfort is knowing that Larry is with our Lord Jesus.

And...THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

FRIENDS FROM AFAR

What a blessing!  Several days ago, Cindy picked up her Dad, Ron, who will spend some time with us.

And, yesterday, our dear friend and Brother in Christ, Sam from India, arrived here at the "Retreat Cabin".

Sam will be with us for several days.  So glad he's with us.

So, while I'm recovering from those wicked spider bites, it's nice to have friends from afar visiting.

Of course, I'm eager to get back in the air and bringing CLEAN WATER to the THIRSTY in the NAME OF JESUS!!

I should receive the biopsy report next week.  Still running a low fever and achy joints and headaches.  GOD'S GRACE is sufficient.

We're standing and believing God for complete HEALING!

THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

BIOPSY.....

bi·op·sy
/ˈbīˌäpsē/

noun
  1. an examination of tissue removed from a living body to discover the presence, cause, or extent of a disease.

Even though I want to GO....I'm being urged to STAY.

Yesterday, went to my Doctor regarding the on-going effects of the spider bites from 9 weeks ago (63 days!) while in Haiti.

This "mystery" infection is perplexing my medical team.  A Biopsy was taken and we'll get the results early next week.

This should give us more information, helping us to treat it more effectively.

Though I want to "launch" an Air Mobile mission, it is recommended that I postpone until the results of the biopsy comes back.

In the meantime, want you to know how much I appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!!

A GENTLE RAIN & A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST

Even though I'd like to head out on the "Next Mission", wisdom says...stay home and heal.

And what a lovely place to heal.  This morning there's a gentle rain here in the Smokies.  It's nice to just sit a while and enjoy it.

Our tomato crop this season is extraordinary.  Can't get over the harvest...and it just keeps coming.

This morning, Cindy is making tomato soup.....mmmmmm!

I'm scheduled to go back to the doctor today.  Remember those spider bites from Haiti 2 months ago?

Well, they're still causing trouble and the likely cause of the on-going low grade fever, headaches & sore joints.

Hopefully & prayerfully, we'll get some relief today.  As always, appreciate your prayer, love and support!!

In the meantime, I'll spend some time on the porch watching the gentle rain and Smokey Mountains.

HUMMERS & HARVEST

Sitting on the porch and simply enjoying life.

The humming birds provide a lovely aerial show.  So glad to have them back.

Can't get over the bountiful harvest.  Tomatoes are coming in and Cindy's already making  salsa.

Still dealing with a low grade fever and just not feeling well.

Will be getting some more blood work today.  Relieved and thankful it's not COVID-19.  Believing God for complete healing.

THANK YOU for your prayer, love and support!!

HARVEST TIME.....

Our "Victory Garden" is producing amazing harvests.

The tomatoes are coming in along with cucumbers, melons, onions, garlic, beets and more.

Time to get out the canning jars and "lay up" some delicious, healthful food for later.  We're also sharing with our neighbors.

And....we still have a lot of good vegetables still growing in the ground, i.e. sweet potatoes, corn, blue berries and more.

We're so THANKFUL for these wonderful harvests!

GOD IS GOOD....ALL THE TIME!!

And, we're still moving toward our "Next Mission" of bringing CLEAN WATER to thirsty folks.

Here's a way that you can help, in memory of my dear Brother in Christ and friend, Larry Junker who passed away recently.

"GO FUND ME" IN HONOR OF LARRY JUNKER

Will let you know, as things develop toward LAUNCH!

NEGATIVE!!!

Usually, NEGATIVE is not a good word, but in the case of a medical test, i.e. COVID-19, it is a GOOD WORD.

Late yesterday evening the results came in....NEGATIVE!

The symptoms that I have, could have indicated COVID-19.

Now with that eliminated, we're looking at a tick bite and possible lyme disease.

At any rate....no matter what the malady, we serve a HEALING GOD!

Sure do appreciate your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

STILL WAITING.....PLANT A CHERRY TREE

With the latest renewed outbreak of COVID-19 (Delta Varient), Test results are backing up and being delayed....as is mine.

So.... I planted a couple of cherry trees.  Had to work slowly, as the temperature was in the 90's.

My symptoms are mild.

While waiting for the results, I'm trying to stay busy.

My Momma used to tell me...."Baby, a watched pot never boils".

So, I patiently await the Test results....patience is not one of my strengths.

Today, will be just taking it easy and doing some ministry paper work.

Will report the Test results once we have them.  We're BELIEVING GOD for GOOD TEST RESULTS!

THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with me.  So appreciate your prayer, love and support!!

AWAITING TEST RESULTS.....

Been running a low-grade fever and feeling a bit achy, thought I'd get a COVID-19 test.  Should get results back today.

Also, before making most international flights, one must present a current Negative COVID-19 test.  It's good to have a documented TEST history.

Now days, most any "symptom" we exhibit is thought to be COVID-19.  I must admit, that's the way I'm thinking.

Of course, we're PRAYING for the test results to come back NEGATIVE!

We're also PRAYING for health, healing and protection as promised in Psalm 91!

If you haven't read this wonderful Psalm lately....here it is.

Just click on the link and read it slowly.  It will strengthen your faith....as it does mine.

PSALM 91 KJV

In the meantime, life goes on at the "Retreat Cabin".  Had our horses and donkeys tended to by our local farrier.

Time to get on with this day that our Lord has made.  We will rejoice and be glad in it!!

No matter what the results are from the COVID-19 TEST, our trust and faith is in the Lord!!

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

CINDY & ARI HOME...

Thank you for your prayers for safe travels for my Cindy & Ari.  They arrived yesterday and I'm so glad to have them home.

Just saw a very powerful earthquake (8.2) shook Alaska.  This was the most powerful quake of the year.

Tsunami warnings have been lifted but strong after-shocks are still being felt throughout the region.

We pray for those in the range of these powerful quakes.

Meanwhile, Air Mobile is on stand-by for our next mission.  We are still lacking funding for several much-needed water purifiers in Haiti.

The on-going violence in Haiti is preventing many from getting CLEAN WATER.

In honor of my dear brother in Christ and great friend, Larry Junker, a "Go Fund Me" has been set up to help with this vital mission.

If you'd like to contribute , here is the link - "GO FUND ME" IN HONOR OF LARRY JUNKER

CINDY & ARI ON THE ROAD HOME!  YEA!!

I'm just thrilled that my Cindy and Ari are enroute to the Retreat Cabin.

Sure have missed them.  They successfully delivered the 5 puppies to their new homes.

Cindy was also able to visit with her Mom in Massachusetts.

Yesterday, they visited Niagra Falls.

This was Ari's final vacation before the School year begins.

She loved the "Falls".

PLEASE PRAY for them to have a safe and pleasant journey home!!

On another note....you may recall our beautiful, old  and very strong Westinghouse Refrigerator?  It's been running continuously for 74 years.

....And still running strong!

Yesterday, our brand new  Samsung Fridge (less than 1 year old) conked out!

Yes, it's true.... "THEY JUST DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THEY USED TO!!"

Hopefully....a Samsung Technician will come today and try to raise this one from the dead.

And, life goes on at the "Retreat Cabin".  Can hardly wait for Cindy and Ari to drive up.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

I often ask myself..."why do I write a daily blog"?  Good question.

Don't really know why, I just get up and do it.  Have done so for over 11 years and not missed a day.

BTW, wrote my first blog entry on January 13, 2010, the day after the terrible Haiti Earthquake.  Also, happened to be my birthday.

Have found it to be an amazing source of prayer support.  I'm humbled and quite surprised by how many folks read my "rambling blog".

The best thing is, a lot of folks PRAY for us as we go forth to serve our Lord.

The truth is...times, when I wake up, pour that first cup of coffee and sit in front of my laptop....I have no idea what I'm going to write.

Oh, I ask our Lord to give me something to write about.  I ponder the day past and the present day and what might lie ahead.

My Cindy, who is an excellent psychiatric nurse, tells me that "journaling" is good therapy.

We often travel to catastrophic disaster areas.  Journaling does help me to "process" the pain and suffering.

And, the Daily blog has been a wonderful resource of information about where I've been.

It has also helped me to keep my Flight Log current.

I often refer to the blog for contact information and the list goes on and on.

So, when will I quit writing this crazy, rambling journal?  Don't know.  But until I quit, will just keep writing it.

And....as I say every single day & truly mean with all of my heart....THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

Air Mobile Joe

PS - The Rambling Daily Blog will also help me in writing my next book....which will happen one day.

MONDAY...BACK AT THE FARM

Back at the "Retreat Cabin" and tending to critters and farm chores.

Still "GLOWING" from the "Former Haitian Orphan Flights" over the weekend at the Indiana Reunion.

I distinctly remember so many of the kids from the "Village" in Haiti that showed up for the Little Donkey flight.

Now they're growing up in America with so many opportunities.  It's just a BLESSING to witness this first-hand.

It was good to see some of the Adoptive Parents with their children.  So much love and joy!

So glad to see Barbara and so THANKFUL for her precious and courageous ministry of Rescuing Children!

Meanwhile, Cindy and Ari will be heading back to the Retreat Cabin after....visiting Niagra Falls.

They were successful in finding 5 homes for these precious puppies.

I'll be glad to have my Cindy and Ari home!

Well, it's time to get on with the farm chores.

As always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

10 "FLIGHTS" LATER....

I had the distinct privilege to fly 36 former orphans in the Little Donkey yesterday.

Our dear sister, Barbara Walker, who has arranged more than 3000 adoptions (including our Juliet and Ariana), has an Annual Reunion in Indiana.

The Indiana Reunion is one of many that this remarkable "Lady of God" has made possible.

THANK YOU BARBARA!!

I flew the Little Donkey from our TN/VA Base to New Castle, IN (KUWL) yesterday morning.  The flight took me over Cincinnati Airport (KCVG).

Upon landing at New Castle airport, was met by scores of former orphans who had been "Rescued" in Haiti by Barbara.

Some of whom I even flew out in the Little Donkey.

We would load up 5 at a time in the Little Donkey and give them a quick trip around the pattern.  They loved it!!

Flight after flight, they lined up for a ride in the Little Donkey.

As group after group showed up I distinctly remember seeing these little one running around the "Village" in Haiti awaiting their adoption papers to be processed.

Among the former orphans was Anderson.

I so remember this fine young man as an eager and quick orphan in the Village in Haiti.

He would help me set up and run the Air Mobile Rescuers.

Just to see him as a successful young business man doing so well....brought tears to my eyes!

BTW, Anderson is also a Champion Body-Builder and he gives God all the Glory!

GO ANDERSON GO!!

So, we ended up making 8 flights and gave a bunch of former Haitian orphans a ride in the Little Donkey!

At the end of the long day, I flew the Little Donkey back to our Air Mobile home base TN/VA (0VG) .....making my 10th flight of the day.

What a lovely way to spend a Saturday.  Lots of memories and great JOY!!

So, on this lovely Sunday morning, and having all of those wonderful memories, my heart is full.  GOD IS GOOD!!!

As always, THANK YOU for you precious prayer, love and support!!

TAKING THE LITTLE DONKEY TO AN ORPHAN REUNION...

Have been invited by our dear sister, Barbara Walker to come to the Indiana Orphan Reunion.

Will be flying the Little Donkey to New Castle Indiana (KUWL), from our TN Air Mobile Base (0VG).

It'll be good to see Barbara again.  We so appreciate her ministry of "Rescuing" children from Haiti and around the world, over 3000!

Barb rescued Juliet and Ariana.  We'll forever be grateful to Barbara for giving us those 2 wonderful gifts.

BTW, we finished "Baling Hay" yesterday and had a 20 bale yield. Here's a quick video explaining the process.

That will help us get through the winter with hay for our critters and our neighbor Don's cattle.

Well, it's time to head to the airport and take the Little Donkey for a flight to Indiana.

MAKING HAY....WHILE THE SUN SHINES

My dear Momma used to tell me that.  In other words....seize the moment when the time is right.

Wise words from my dear Momma.

Yesterday, our good neighbor, Don came over to "Cut" our hayfield.  That is the first step to "harvesting" hay.

So THANKFUL for good machines that make this process so much easier than doing it by hand!

The next step of harvesting hay is to FLUFF the hay.

Weather looks good, no rain in the immediate forecast.  We'll likely "ROLL" the hay on Saturday.

This hay will give our critters food through the winter.

Thought I'd share the "Hay Havest Process" with you.

Sure do love it up here in the mountains of East TN!  GOD IS GOOD!!

THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

YELLOW JACKETS.....

While getting fresh hay for our horses yesterday, a swarm of Yellow Jackets hit me about 10 times.

Those critters are FIERCE!

I quickly mixed up baking soda and vinegar and slathered it onto the bites.  Took a Benadryl and kept slathering throughout the evening.

Prayed a lot and woke up this morning almost pain free PRAISE GOD!

That's the reason the BLOG is a little late this morning.

BTW, those spider bites that got me in Haiti 55 days ago are finally clearing up.  Those rascals put a lot of their poison into me.

Somewhere, in the midst of these attacks, there's a lesson.

Psalm 91 comes to mind....

And, our Lord tells me....FEAR NOT!!

So, time to head out into this day, trusting our Lord to keep me in His hands.

THANK YOU, for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

Early this morning, Cindy and Ari and 5 Puppies hit the road for Massachusetts.

Along the way, they'll be delivering Puppies to happy new owners.

I must admit, these just may be the cutest puppies I've ever seen.

Of course, Cindy & Ari will also be  spending time with her Mom and Family.

Meanwhile, I'll be holding down the farm, taking care of our critters & crops (horses, donkey's, ducks and crops).

Already missing Cindy, Ari & the little Puppies.  Counting the days until Cindy and Ari return home.

WATCHING BEZOS & CREW....

I must admit, after living on Florida's Space Coast and being deeply involved in the Space Program personally....The Blue Origin flight will certainly be another significant milestone.

By the time you read this, either the flight will be just about to happen or will have just happened.

Lift-off is scheduled for 9:00 AM Eastern time.

Here's a link to this live, historic event - BLUE ORIGIN LIVE

We PRAY all goes well!

In the meantime, we're encouraged by the response to the funds being raised for another Air Mobile Rescuer for Haiti.

Though, out of the news right now, the situation is grim for millions.  Gangs control many of the roads in Haiti causing untold suffering.

Commerce is nearly at a standstill and violence is steadily rising. Many are cut-off from CLEAN WATER!

We PRAY for those in path of this deadly situation.

TIME IN THE WORD....

While doing chores around the "Farm", I sometime listen to the Word of God via "YouVersion" audio.

BTW, look what we harvested yesterday from the Victory Garden.

We're thankful for the rich harvest we're getting.

During this time "between missions", is a good time to strengthen my faith in the Lord.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

So, while "waiting on our Lord" for His direction...I'll listen to the Book of John.

Our good friend from many years ago, Joy Reding is helping us raise funds for an Air Mobile Rescuer for Haiti, along with the cost of fuel to get us there.

Joy is doing this in honor of our dear friend and Brother in Christ, Larry Junker who passed away several weeks ago.

THANK YOU JOY!

GIVING THANKS....

Sometimes, life is so good that it's a bit overwhelming and yes....I feel a bit guilty for enjoying it so much.

So...instead of guilt, I need to remind myself to simply GIVE THANKS for the moment and let the JOY FLOW.

The Bible tells us in I Thessalonians 5:18 ".....IN EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS".

This morning, getting ready to go to Church, I GIVE THANKS to our LORD for His Goodness.

These precious times, between "Missions" give strength and courage for what lies ahead.

They give great JOY and the JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH!

I PRAY that you experience HIS JOY today!

THANK YOU, as always for wandering down this road of life with me and especially for your prayer, love and support.

THERE'S TIME TO PRAY & POLISHING AN OLD TRUCK

Sitting here in the Air Mobile Office / Cabin, wanting to be where our Lord wants me, when He wants me there, is my goal.

For now, with Rescuers ready and the Little Donkey ready, I'm sitting here....with time to PRAY!

In the meantime.. between missions, been cleaning up an old 2000 Dodge RAM 2500 that we found for a "song".

We needed a good "farm truck" to carry heavy loads and pull folks out of the mud or snow.

Still running strong with the Cummins Diesel engine.

The old truck is in pretty good shape and has 400,489 miles!

That's likely the reason we were able to pick it up so cheap.

With a little love and elbow grease and Armor All, the interior cleaned up quite nicely.

I love taking old things and giving them a new life.

Remember the 74 year old Westinghouse Fridge?

It's still running like a "top"!

I guess the moral of this story is....even though one may be getting old, our Lord can give us new life and use us for His Glory.

Well, it's time to head out in the field and get some fresh veggies for dinner.

THANK YOU for meandering down this "road of life" with me.  Truly appreciate your prayer, love and support!!

We're getting Air Mobile Rescuers...."READY TO GO".  We simply need FUNDING to be able to GO!

So, today, at the "Retreat Cabin", we're doing chores and harvesting food from our Victory Garden.

May God's will be done in our lives.  We're here, READY TO GO!

RECRUITING.....

Took the Little Donkey to Morristown Airport (about a 20 minute flight) to visit with some prospective aviators.

BTW, Avgas at our TN home base airport is quite cheap (by comparison) at $4.25 per gallon.

Yahn captured the take-off of the Little Donkey.

Did a low pass on my way to Morristown airport.

Upon landing, met with a couple of local Aviators to discuss possible advance flight training.

Paul Howard is a retired United 757 Captain with a rich history in aviation.

He may be joining Air Mobile and becoming a Water Mule and pilot.

Also met with recent CFI, Chad who would like to make the Haiti Flight with me to increase his knowledge of a long, international flight.

Overall, it was a good day of "Recruiting" for Air Mobile.

Meanwhile, we're raising $$ to fund Air Mobile Rescuers for our next  "Mission".

We're also keeping a close eye on the Caribbean for Hurricane development.

PLEASE remember to PRAY for Haiti.  The violence there is causing so many to suffer!

Time to get on with this beautiful day in the Mountains of East TN.

Will also be able to let the local flight schools know that I've got my CFI and can cooperate with them on flight training.

The weather is good and I'm ready to FLY!

Time to head to the airport and take the Little Donkey out for a pleasant cruise.

BTW, Harrison Ford turns 79 today.

OK, I'll admit it....he's always been one of my favorite heroes!

He's a great actor and a pilot to boot!

Well, here's what another hero of mine said about Harrison...it's worth the read.

JUST WHAT DOES CHUCK NORRIS THINK ABOUT HARRISON FORD?

Of course, the GREATEST HERO of all time will ever be my LORD JESUS CHRIST who rescued me sin and death!!

Heading to Knoxville for a Cancer check up this morning.  We're standing firm for complete healing!

I'm so pleased to have our Air Mobile Rescuer plant up and going here in Tennessee.

We're temporarily building the units in our Hangar in Jonesville, VA which is very close to our Retreat Cabin.

Our Plan is to secure a permanent plant location in Sneedville, TN.

In the meantime, we'll prepare "Rescuers" for whatever disaster may come.  Folks will need CLEAN WATER!!

We're following the events in Haiti very closely.  The situation is EXTREMELY VOLATILE and we PRAY FOR PEACE!!!

Well, it's time to head to Knoxville.  We're PRAYING for a GOOD REPORT!!

THANKYOU, as always, for your faithful prayer, love and support!!

A LOVELY VISIT....

It was a joy to have my daughter, Cherie & Kids & Company arrive at the "Retreat Cabin" yesterday.

She was joined with Brother-in-Law, Graham and Sister-in-Law Angie.

The Kids went straight into the pool.

What an absolute blast having them with us!!

Even, my favorite Duck, "Old Lou" was happy.

Ari helped cook and made her famous Onion rings.

We ate right out of our garden.  Loved showing Cherie around our little slice of heaven here in the Mountains of East TN!

They'll be heading out today.  We're praying for them to have a good ride home.

And....THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with us.  Truly appreciate your prayer, love and support!!

HAITI'S FIRST LADY STILL ALIVE!

Yesterday, I reported that Haiti's First Lady, Martine Moise had succombed to her wounds and died.

That report was wrong.

According to very reliable sources, First Lady Martine Moise is still alive and being treated at a Miami Hospital.  Sorry about the erroneous report.

We are following the events in Haiti very closely and will help where we can.

PLEASE PRAY for this country that is having catastrophe after catastrophe!

So many innocent people are suffering in ways that are staggering.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Elsa is rapidly moving along the U.S. East coast bringing a lot of rain and gusty winds, with possible tornadoes along the way.

Air Mobile is standing by to be used by our Lord as He would have us to move.

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

DELIVERING "RESCUER" TO OPERATION BLESSING

Yesterday, I had to privilege to deliver an Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier to Operation Blessing in Bristol, TN.

There I met Anthony Lloyd, the Executive Director of Operation Blessing (OB) U.S.

Anthony and I have had multiple discussions about how important CLEAN WATER is following disaster.

It was my joy to deliver the Resucer to OB

Was able to train Anthony on the set-up, operation, maintenance and trouble-shooting on the Rescuer.

Operation Blessing is an amazing organization bringing a lot of help to a lot of folks in DISTRESS!

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Elsa is roaring up the U.S. East Coast bringing a lot of rain with the potential of flooding.

Time to get on with this day.  May our Lord lead us and direct us.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

HURRICANE / TROPICAL STORM ELSA APPROACHING FLORIDA LANDFALL!

Hurricane Elsa is about to make landfall in the Florida Panhandle.

It is expected to be a strong Tropical Storm.

Here's more on Elsa - TROPICAL STORM ELSA HEADED TO FLORIDA

Though this may not  bring hurricane force winds, it will bring a lot of rain and flooding is very possible along with tornadoes.

Remember, Hurricanes can be very unpredictable.  We've seen them increase in strength from a Tropical Storm to a Cat 4/5 in just 24 hours.

Folks, this is why we need to be PREPARED!

If you're in the path, best "batten down the hatches"!

This morning, I will be delivering an Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier to the Operation Blessing warehouse located in Bristol, TN.

We've been working with Anthony Lloyd, the Executive Director of Operation Blessing.  Looking forward to meeting him face to face.

Over the years, we've worked closely with CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) bringing CLEAN WATER to thirsty folks.

Here, we have 10 Air Mobile Rescuer units operating in Ecuador with CBN following a massive earthquake several years ago.

Now, it's a BLESSING to be working with OPERATION BLESSING!

Overall, this 2021 Hurricane Season is shaping up to be a very BUSY SEASON.

So, it's time to hit the road for Bristol, TN and my meeting with Operation Blessing.

As always, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!

ENJOYING THE VIEW!

I like to go out on our deck and just listen.  Love hearing the birds sing.  Moments like these are precious.

Oh, just by the nature of what we do....will be heading out somewhere to bring clean water and the Good News of Jesus soon enough.

For now, it's a joy to just sit back and relax here at the "Retreat Cabin" and savor life and the goodness of God.

Today, I have an appointment with my doctor to examine those 'wicked' old spider bites.

You may recall, I was bitten twice in Haiti nearly 6 weeks ago.

Still on anti-biotics and healing is slowly taking over the venom.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Elsa has entered the Gulf and  is pounding the west Coast of Florida.

Though Elsa is bringing a lot of rain, winds will remain (for now) tropical storm levels.

We're monitoring the destruction throughout the Islands and what Elsa might bring to Florida.

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

2 SAD STORIES.....

On Friday evening, a Cherokee 6 aircraft with 6 souls aboard crashed in the mountains of Haiti.  All 6 perished.  Among the victims were 2 U.S. Missionaries.

PLEASE PRAY for all of the families of the victims.  This story breaks my heart.

Here's more - "Por Favor" - Last words of one of the victims of Haiti plane crash

I have seen this aircraft and pilot on many of my flights into Haiti.  It is a very sad story.

And, on another sad note, received word yesterday that my dear Brother In Christ and wise counselor of many years, Larry Junker passed away on Saturday.

I loved Larry as a Father in the Faith to me.  His precious friendship, wisdom and genius filled my life with such joy.  I will miss Larry!

PLEASE PRAY for his dear wife, Ann and all of his family.  Our consolation is knowing that Larry is with his Lord Jesus, whom he loved with all of his heart.

Meanwhile, we're keeping a very close eye on the track of Tropical Storm Elsa.

Here is the latest - TROPICAL STORM ELSA NEARING CUBA - TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS ISSUED IN FLORIDA

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!

Folks, it is a BLESSING to live in America!!

Our "HOME SWEET HOME"!

As I gaze out over this great land, I can only say...GOD HAS BLESSED AMERICA in so many ways.

Oh, I know that America is far from perfect, but....I'm so THANKFUL to live in this great land.

Meanwhile, we're keeping a close eye on what is now, again, Tropical Storm Elsa.

The storm has grazed Haiti and headed for Cuba and then the Florida Keys.

Though weather forecasting is quite good, Hurricanes have surprised many a forecaster.

We're ready!  The Little Donkey is ready to go and we have Air Mobile Rescuers standing by!!

We PRAY that Elsa brings much needed rain and doesn't harm anyone.  Again, we PRAY.

As our good friends, Paul and Sandy were preparing to "hit the road" in their newly acquired (lovely 16 year old) motorhome....it wouldn't start.

Paul and I prayed, and asked our Lord to give us wisdom.  Well, we crawled under the coach and sought the answer.

It came!

We found a couple of loose connections and VOILA!  It started right up.

Paul and Sandy are now "On the Road Again", enjoying the FREEDOM that we do have in America.

We sure did enjoy visiting with them for a couple of days.

We're also THANKFUL for the FREEDOM that we have to WORSHIP GOD here in America!

We're getting ready to go to Church and CELEBRATE this great Country and our GREAT GOD!!!

THANK YOU JESUS for AMERICA!!

May you be BLESSED today and as always, THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!

NOW...."HURRICANE ELSA" COMING.....

Over night, Tropical Storm Elsa officially became 'HURRICANE ELSA' and it's still strengthening.

This storm is moving rapidly (30+ mph) with winds of 75 mph.

Hispaniola, Jamaica, Cuba and the entire U.S. Southeast is in the "cone".

This can be a dangerous storm and we're getting READY!

Here's more on Hurricane Elsa - HURRICANE ELSA HEADING TOWARD HISPANIOLA / JAMAICA / CUBA & THE U.S. SOUTHEAST

We are praying for all in the path of this storm.  We're asking our Lord to lead us and direct us.

RAPID MOVING "ELSA" STRENGTHENING

We're continuing to watch TS Elsa as she ROARS across the Caribbean.

One thing is for sure, Hurricanes are unpredictable.

We've seen Tropical Storms become CAT 5 Hurricanes in a matter of hours.

Here's more on Elsa - TROPICAL STORM ELSA STRENGTHENING; CARIBBEAN / FLORIDA SHOULD TRACK FORECAST CLOSELY

So, we continue to watch and prepare.  We're getting Air Mobile Rescuers "Ready for Action".

Meanwhile, we received a lot of much needed rain yesterday and our Victory Garden is producing like crazy.  Time to get the "canning jars" out.

This morning, we'll be meeting some of Cindy's friends who are passing through. They all got saved.... many years ago (when they were teenagers).

We're all still walking with our Lord Jesus.  Going to be fun day.

So, as we say every day....THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!
