REMEMBER JIMMY SWAGGART

The news came out last night that Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart had a heart-attack on Sunday morning. He was taken to the hospital and is in ICU in CRITICAL condition.  PLEASE PRAY for Jimmy and his family.

WARS & RUMORS OF WARS...

 

In Matthew 24:6, our Lord Jesus tells us of the Signs of the End Times that will come. 

Could the events, that are currently happening between Israel and Iran, be part of the End Times spoken to us by Jesus?  I suspect so!

Last night, Israel launched a MASSIVE ATTACK on Iran!  Major military sites, as well as military and nuclear leaders, were "taken out".

GETTING READY...

Here at our lovely "Retreat Cabin", with the usual chores and all, Cindy and I are enjoying a glorious morning.  In between "missions", we're planning for our next deployment.

We're stocking up on supplies, making sure our generators are functioning properly and that we have enough Air Mobile Rescuers ready for immediate rapid deployment....when (not IF) the next disaster strikes.

I must tell you, it's just good being home with my Cindy, & enjoying our critters and one another over a delicious cup of coffee.

GOT CARRIED AWAY

Cindy landed in Knoxville late yesterday evening.  Bad WX caused her flight to be delayed.  We rolled up to our sweet "Retreat Cabin around 1:00am.  I'm so glad to have her home.

We were up early doing chores and I simply got carried away with our ducks and such and I failed to finish and post this blog until right now.  Better late than never.

What a BLESSING it is to go to Church on Sunday and WORSHIP our LORD.  

I so enjoy the FREEDOM that we have to do this.  May we never take it for granted!

Cindy and Ari are enjoying their time in Florida.  Meanwhile, I'm taking care of all our critters at our little farm. I'm also making good progress on "Storm Dancer".

JUST A RAINY DAY...IN TENNESSEE

Well, a lot folks in our neck of the woods, are rushing between rain showers and sunshine to get as much hay baled & put up as possible.

My dear Momma used to tell me, "Baby, you got to make hay while the sun shines".

Here's the real meaning of that age-old saying.

So, wherever you are, seize the moment and make the best of it.  

And I sure do miss my dear, sweet, wise Momma! I know that I will see her again one day.

GETTING CLOSER TO JESUS

Folks, I surrendered my heart to my Lord and Savior, Jesus, 53 years ago.  I have never looked back or regretted that decision.  Truly, the best decision I have ever made in my life.

As a matter of fact, I have gotten closer and closer to Jesus with each passing day.

Perhaps, some who are reading this Blog have never surrendered to Jesus.  May I encourage you to do so!  You will not regret it.

No matter what you have done, Jesus will forgive  you.  HE paid the price for your sins & HE LOVES YOU!!.

FRIENDS FROM AFAR...

I first met John & Debbie Booker in Haiti years ago.  They are great missionaries with the 4-Square Church and have worked all over the Caribbean.

It was a pleasure visiting with them yesterday.

Our time of fellowship was rich as we shared testimonies of God's Amazing Grace and...though we are old, our Lord is not through with us.  Our conclusion is...THE BEST IS YET COME!!

Furthermore...we say...HERE WE ARE LORD, SEND US!

I'm so THANKFUL  for this sweet couple and for the time we spent together.

Well, I hear the critters calling.  Time to go do chores.  THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with me!!

BACK HOME & BACK TO WORK...

Caught an Allegiant flite from Sanford (Orlando) to back to Knoxville yesterday.  

Still can't get over what a time-saver this is.  A 1 hour 15 minute flight as opposed to a 12 hour drive....& this flight costs less than the fuel to drive.  What a deal!

All of our critters were glad to see me and me them.  We now have 43 ducks, added to our 3 horses, 3 donkeys 3 dogs & 2 cats.

Cindy and Ari are still in Florida for a wedding and seeking a summer job for Ari.  They're enjoying friends and the ocean. 

This morning, I'll be visiting with my good friends  John & Debbie Booker.  They are 4-Square Missionaries whom we met in Haiti years ago.

In between all this, I'll be working on "Storm Dancer".  It's time to get on with the daily chores.  THANK YOU, as always for your faithful prayer, love and support.

HEADING BACK TO TN

This morning, Cindy will be bringing me to Sanford (Orlando) for an Allegiant flight back to Knoxville.

Cindy and Ariana will remain in Florida until next week, enjoying the glorious ocean view. They'll be with family & friends.  They'll also be attending the wedding of Jack, the son of our Florida Pastor, Gary Ginn.

Meanwhile, I'll be taking care of our many critters and continuing to write "Storm Dancer".  We have dear friends who have been caring for all our critters in our absence.

Before departing, I'll have one more view of the ocean and breathe in the ocean air.

LOW FLYERS...

While enjoying this glorious morning here at our Ocean-front view, the graceful flight of the pelicans flew right through my field of vision.  Their command of the wind and current is spectacular.

We're enjoying our time here at Satellite Beach, thanks to our good friends Dr. Steve & Millie Badolato & this lovely Condo.

I'm making good progress on "Storm Dancer". As a matter of fact, added a whole new Chapter to this adventure Anthology.  Hope to be finished within a few weeks.

CELEBRATING

Yesterday evening, Cindy and I joined in the Surprise 70th Birthday Party for our dear friend, Tom Spina.

We were neighbors with Tom & Paula for many years and so love this precious family. What a joy & privilege to Celebrate with them!

Meanwhile, we're just enjoying this glorious view and close contact to the ocean in this lovely Condo loaned to us by our very dear friends, Steve & Millie Badolato.

TOUCHDOWN IN FLORIDA...

Cindy and I boarded an Allegiant 737-MAX in Knoxville yesterday morning, and just over an hour later, touched down in Sanford (very near Orlando), Florida.

We were then met by Peter (on his 28th birthday) and Ariana (Out of college for the Summer) and Lisa and April Menendez (very dear friends) on the waterfront in Sanford.

Had a lovely meal and just so wonderful being here in Florida for a few days with family & friends. 

Then, we headed to our sweet Condo right on the ocean...THANKS to Steve & Millie Badolato.  Couldn't be any more beautiful! 

So begins our little get-away in Florida.  THANK YOU for joining us on this magnificent journey.  We so appreciate your precious prayer, love and support!

FLYING TO FLORIDA TODAY...

Cindy and I will be catching an Allegiant flight out of Knoxville today to Florida.

We have dear friends, Dr. Steve & Millie Badolato, who are loaning us their Condo on the Ocean for the week.

We'll be with our kids and grandkids and just having a wonderful time with family and friends down in Florida.

So, it's time to pack up and drive to Knoxville to catch that flight to Florida.

Of course, I'll be "writing Storm Dancer on the beach" and taking in the ocean air and spectacular sunrises & sunsets, and enjoying our family & friends.

WRITING TIME...

I'm enjoying our "Retreat Cabin".  It's an excellent time & location to continue writing "Storm Dancer".  

In order to "capture" the moment(s), I must, in my mind and heart, re-live the event(s). Looking back over the challenges, miracles, disappointments and victories is increasing my faith in our Lord Jesus.

The deeper I go, the more I find the grace and goodness and wonder of God!  May I continue to write-on!

READY TO GO...

We are right on the edge of the beginning of Hurricane Season.  And, true to form, we have a tropical storm, Alvin, that may soon become a hurricane in the Eastern Pacific.

Here's more: TROPICAL STORM ALVIN SOON TO BE FORMED IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC.

So, as we prepare for whatever may come, we seek the Lord for guidance.

In the meantime, I am truly enjoying this Season between the "Missions".  All I can say is...GOD IS GOOD...ALL THE TIME!!

A CONNECTION CHALLENGE...

Sorry about the delay this morning.  I'm working out some additional connect-ability with AT&T. 

Due to the fact that Air Mobile operates globally (54 Countries), anything that we can do to increase our ability to capture a signal, should be done. Sometimes it can be a matter of life and death.  

It's a peaceful and quiet day and I'm enjoying the tranquility, with my sweet Cindy, however...all of that can change with a dramatic, unexpected newscast telling of a disaster.  One never knows when or where.

It's a good time to review the tools that we have and PREPARE for what might lie ahead.  I'm reminded of Isaiah 6:8. - HERE AM I LORD, SEND ME!

A DAY OF SADNESS AND GRATITUDE... MEMORIAL DAY

So many reading this blog have lost someone in war.  We hold dear and cherish the memories of those who "Gave it all".  

And at the same time, we are GRATEFUL for the FREEDOM that we enjoy so richly here in America because of their sacrifice.

May you be blessed  today in remembering this Memorial Day.

Last night was the final service of our Revival at Little Mulberry Baptist Church.  Charlie Goodman flat-out blessed us with his powerful messages.  THANK YOU CHARLIE!

Now folks, I'm 74 years old and I can tell you, that until last night, I have never stood on a stage or any other platform and sung a single note publicly.

But Cindy asked me to join her and sing this song with her.  At first I said, "No my dear, I can't do that".  

Well, she convinced me to try and I did.  THANK YOU, CINDY for stretching me.  I LOVE YOU CINDY!

And to you who meander down this "Road of Life" with me, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!

WHO LET THE DUCKS OUT...WHO WHO

Every evening, these sweet creatures put themselves up in their  very secure duck-house.  This protects them from raccoons and coyotes.

Then, every morning, either Cindy or I let the ducks out.  It is like an explosion of duck energy. I usually chant..."Who let the ducks out...who, who?"  So much fun to watch.

Meanwhile, at our home Church, Little Mulberry Baptist, we'll be hearing Charley Goodman this morning share the Good News.  Charley is a theological Professor and flat out "delivers the mail".  We're into our third day of our Revival.  

What a great speaker and what an infusion of faith, joy and goodness of God into our Church!  

THANK YOU Pastor John (our Pastor) for inviting Charley and THANK YOU Charley, for heeding the "Call".

If you live in our "neck of the woods", consider coming this evening for our final service.

I picked up Cindy at the Knoxville Airport yesterday afternoon.  She had a wonderful visit with family in Massachusetts and...got home just in time to sing at our opening night of Revival at our church, Little Mulberry Baptist.

CINDY'S ENROUTE HOME...

Cindy will be landing at Knoxville this afternoon.  Please pray that she has a good flight home.  

She's flying a relatively new airline, Avelo Air.

Meanwhile, I've been here at the "Retreat Cabin" taking care of all of our critters (horses, donkeys, ducks, dogs & cats).  Have also been making good progress on "Storm Dancer".

Our dear friend Barbara Walker (AKA Rambo in the Blue Dress) lives close to us in TN.  I've been reading portions of Storm Dancer to her, because she is in many of the stories.  Doing this assures accuracy and color to Storm Dancer.

Well, it's time to go feed the critters and get ready to drive to Knoxville to pick up Cindy.

ANDY...THE DUCK HERDER

I love watching our little Andy, now 10 years old, herding our ducks.  We now have a total of 36 ducks and soon, we'll have more duck eggs than we can eat.  

So, we'll be selling duck eggs to eat and to hatch.  Just watching the ducks, with their silly antics and families sticking together brings us great joy.

And, our garden is coming along nicely.  Soon, we'll be eating vegetables to eat, freeze and sell.

Life here at our little farm is good.  I'm also making good progress on "Storm Dancer".

I just spoke with Cindy in Massachusetts, and she's having a wonderful time with her family. She'll be coming home tomorrow. I sure have missed her.

I'm so THANKFUL for this peaceful time at our beloved "Retreat Cabin" and so appreciate you with your faithful prayer, love and support!

QUIET TIME WITH JESUS...

I'm here at the "Retreat Cabin" continuing to write my next novel, "Storm Dancer".  While taking this time to reflect & remember so many, amazing and wonderful and challenging & tragic stories, my heart melts with joy and sadness....so many emotions. 

While here, at our sweet "Retreat Cabin", I'm surrounded by God's goodness and grace!  Cindy had a safe flight up to Massachusetts, and is spending a little time with her family.  I'm here, holding down the fort, taking care of the chores and writing and writing.

I'm thankful for this quiet and peaceful time between "Missions".  It's just a matter of time before we launch out on our next "Mission". 

But for now, I'm especially enjoying this wonderful time with Jesus!

PRAYING FOR LONDON KENTUCKY...

We, like many, are PRAYING for the residents of London, Kentucky who have been ravaged by terrible tornadoes.  

The death toll is 28 and possibly climbing.  And...more bad weather is heading there today.  WE PRAY!

Here's more KENTUCKY VOLUNTEERS, FIRST REPSONDERS CONTINUE RECOVERY WORK IN THE WAKE OF DEADLY TORNADOES

There are many who have been miraculously saved from these terrible storms. Our hearts break for those who have lost loved-ones and for the injured.

Also, please pray for Cindy who made a flight to Massachusetts yesterday to be with family.  I'm holding down the fort and taking care of our many critters here at our little farm.

As I pour through the volumes of journal entries, I experience again and again the wonder and grace of God!

Folks, there is tremendous power in sharing our Testimony.  That is exactly what I am endeavoring to do with "Storm Dancer".

PLEASE PRAY that I find the words to capture the miracles and grace of our Lord!

A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE...

One of the extraordinary advantages to writing a "Daily Blog" (I'm going on 15 years now...& not missed a day) is that I can go back and tell a story of God's Amazing Grace with accuracy and many times, photos to back it up.

The Daily Blog also tells where we are and what we are doing and how you, who read it, can PRAY for us.  This is such a BLESSING.  Believe me, I feel your  PRAYERS!!

Yesterday, while reading through past blogs...so many memories, so many miracles, I can hardly wait to get "Storm Dancer" finished and into your hands.

I'm also considering "Narrating" it.  That should be fun.  I may even Narrate "Run To The Roar". 

Oh well, it's time to get ready for Church this morning.  BTW, I'm ever THANKFUL for the incredible FREEDOM we have in America to worship God!  May we never take it for granted!

STIRRING THE POT...

Sprung awake at 3:30 am with "Storm Dancer" on my mind.  There was no going back to sleep.  I've already written a rough draft of 14 Chapters.

So, I began reading at Chapter 1 and just finished reading through to Chapter 14.

Just reading these incredible stories of God's Amazing Grace, stirs my pot of emotions. 

Sometimes I cry through the sad valleys, sometimes I laugh on the mountaintop.

It is just such a blessing to write these stories and let the emotions flow.

I'm getting the manuscript ready for Cindy, "The Editor".

We hope to have it published in the next couple of weeks.

WRITING..AGAIN

I've started and stopped and started writing the book "Storm Dancer" again over the years.

I can tell you, it is time for me to finish & publish this book!  I'm so THANKFUL to have Cindy editing this book.  She is  the "best"!

So, for the next few weeks, I'll be somewhat "locked away" writing and re-living some incredible adventures & miracles & challenges & victories!

FOUND A "DEAL"

I had several cash-back coupons with Tractor Supply.  When I found this Champion "Dual Fuel" 9375 Watt Generator (Gas or Propane) on Sale, I made my move and bought it for $600.00!  What "Deal" !

What's better than having 1 Generator?  Having 2!

This certainly is a good time to review your "Readiness"...BEFORE we enter into Hurricane Season!

May I encourage you to take a look at your "Readiness". You may find a "Deal".

I especially scan the BOGO's (BUY ONE GET ONE) at my local store. Then, slip that "Deal" into my emergency supply.

So, overall, I'm just glad to be home and stocking up...for the next disaster.

CINDY  RIDE

Yesterday, Cindy and I celebrated a quiet Mother's Day at our "Retreat Cabin".  After Church, I grilled a "scrumptious" Filet Mignon.

Then Cindy saddled up our beautiful "rescued" Arabian named "Ti Gato" (Little Cup Cake in Creole because of his golden speckles). She took this sweet horse for a ride.

Here's a little more of my beautiful "Lady of God" on this glorious Mother's Day, riding Ti Gato.

So, today we'll be about our usual chores and as always, getting ready for our "Next Mission".

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Cindy and I celebrated Mother's Day weekend with a pleasant ride to the Great Smokies National Park.

Had a wonderful hike to Cataract Falls. BTW, it wasn't very long ago that I could not have made the hike due to damaged knees.  PRAISE GOD for new knees.

So, today we CELEBRATE our MOTHERS.  May you be BLESSED on this wonderful day!

A COOL DATE...

Cindy and I are up early, heading to Pigeon Forge for a nice hike and then...an Edgar Allen Poe show. 

Going to be a fun get-away to Celebrate this "Mother's Day" weekend.

Meanwhile, we PRAY for the new Pope.  He has interesting roots that go back to New Orleans and Haiti.

Well, it's time to hit the road for Pigeon Forge, and a lovely time with my Sweetheart.

Let us remember our Mothers...where would we be without them?  

I remember my Mom with such fond memories.  I sure do miss her.

A QUIET WEDNESDAY...

 

Cindy and I will be making a drive to Bristol, TN today.  We'll be making a deposit in a Wells Fargo Bank to the feeding program in India, operated by Sam's family.

I love spending time with my Cindy on this little road trip.  It's just a quiet Wednesday, spending time with my Sweetheart.

I'm just glad to be home...for a while.

 RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER... HURRICANE SEASON! 

 In just over 3 weeks, Hurricane Season will arrive.  It's forecast to be an ACTIVE Season, very similar to the 2024 Season.

Here's the latest forecast - 2025 HURRICANE SEASON PROJECTION

We, at Air Mobile are getting ready for what might lie ahead.  We're building up Air Mobile Rescuers.

SUNDAY HOME...

This time at home is special.  The "Call" will come and I will be ready to "Go"!

I love being home, knowing that the "Mission" is ever with me.  My "batteries" are charging and my heart is dancing.

I awoke this morning with the sense that Jesus was "knocking at my door".  I opened my door (heart), and He came in.  

I'm reminded of..."What a Friend we have in Jesus" from yesterday's Blog (Just read on down if you missed it).

It's going to be a good day.  Looking forward to Church and being with my friends, brothers and sisters.  Life is good!

WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS!

Up early this morning, on my second cup of coffee, this thought came to me..."WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS".

I had just seen an interview with "Face Book" founder, Mark Zuckerberg.  The question that he was addressing was  the "loneliness" epidemic.

For many, loneliness is quite real.  While watching his response, I sensed our Lord Jesus standing at the door of my heart and stating so lovingly...

"BEHOLD, I stand at the door and knock, if any man hears my voice, and OPENS the door, I will come in and sup with him and he with me".

There are times when we all feel lonely.  This is the perfect time to OPEN the door of our heart and invite Jesus in.  Loneliness will flee.

Jesus also tells us... "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU".

Folks, no matter what you are going through, Jesus is there and He wants to come in and have fellowship with us.

And all of this brings me back to that wonderful song..."What a friend we have in Jesus!"

  I want you to know just how much I appreciate you.  THANK YOU for meandering down this road of life with me.

In reading Proverbs 2 this morning, I came across Verse 6.  

While here at our beloved "Retreat Cabin", between "Missions", I seek HIS WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING.

May our Lord use me for His Glory today!

Folks, our Lord Jesus wants to give us His Wisdom, Guidance and Direction.  I encourage you to SEEK HIM!
