RIGHT PLACE / RIGHT TIME

While sipping a cup of coffee here at the cabin yesterday morning, had the impression to call our neighbors and see how they were.

I could hear in Kathy's voice a lot of pain.   Recently, she had surgery and was not progressing.

As a matter of fact, there were multiple indications of a possible blood clot!

I called Cindy and she agreed (Cindy knows quite a bit about blood clots).

I dashed over and soon, was driving Kathy to  the ER in Knoxville (80 miles away).  Within minutes after arrival, the ER Doctor ordered an ultra-sound.

PRAISE GOD, it came back clear!

I suppose the lesson here is:  "If you err on any side, err on the caution side...especially when dealing with blood clots!"

Kathy was given a therapy routine a bit less strenuous and she should recover soon.

BTW, all of Kathy's family was sick with the flu at the time and I'm just THANKFUL to have been in the right place at the right time.

Oh yes, our good friend Richard had surgery yesterday and it was successful and he's doing well.  THANK YOU for your prayers for Richard!

Well, it's time to wrap up the "mission" here at the cabin and head back to Florida....where it's warm (it's 21 degrees here...brrrr)!

About to hit the road for the 12 hour drive home.  Please prayer for "traveling mercies".

THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable and precious prayer, love and support!!!

DEADLY....PLEASE PRAY!!

A DEADLY line of tornadoes tore through the Southeast yesterday.  23+ are dead and the number is growing.

PLEASE PRAY for those who have lost family and loved ones! The death toll is expected to rise, as Rescuers are searching the rubble.  Over 50 have been injured and the list is growing.

Thousands are without electricity and the temperature is falling below freezing adding the suffering.

Here's more on this unfolding catastrophe - SEARCH TO RESUME AFTER TORNADO KILLS 23

How quickly our lives can change!  Could have been right in the middle of it, as the route home goes directly through that line of deadly tornadoes.

BTW, my original schedule was to head home on Sunday.  Surely, our lives are in His Hands.

Again, my heart breaks for those who have lost loved ones and for the injured.

Please remember to PRAY for the Search & Rescue (SAR) teams that are on the ground searching as I type.

Here in the Mountains of East TN, the temperature is rapidly dropping and there is a dusting of snow.

So, as I say every single day and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your invaluable prayer, love and support!!!

PS - Please remember to pray for my dear friend and brother in the Lord, Richard, as he undergoes surgery today.

ENCORE....

Another easy-going day in the Mountains of East TN.  It's cold and rainy, but the cabin is warm and comfortable.

Spent a bit of time with a dear friend who is going in for surgery tomorrow.  Richard is a self-taught Theologian.  I love discussing the Word with him.  He always brings forward deep, but simple and pure insights into the Word.

As a matter of fact, it was Richard and Teresa who encouraged us to come up to this part of the Smokies and search for a cabin.  Oh, we're so glad they did.  The Retreat Cabin is simply amazing!!!

Please remember Richard in prayer as he undergoes surgery.

Today, I'm doing some exploring for another project up here. Too early to give details.

I'm ever reminded of one of my all time favorite Scriptures given to us by Jesus....Matthew 7:7

Over the years, I've prayed that Scripture so many times.

Let me ask you a question.  Have you ever lost or misplaced something?  Of course, we all have.

A good example is my little blue tooth.  Oh yes, I've prayed Matthew 7:7 many times  looking for that elusive little listening device...."Seek and you shall find".

I just had another dear friend ask me to PRAY for him to find a home for his family.  We prayed...."Knock & the door will be opened".

When John and I were flying the RAM Caravan back from Haiti and needed wisdom to know how to maneuver around some weather we ASKED for our Lord to guide us..."Ask and you shall receive".

I LOVE THE WORD OF GOD!!

So, today, if you're looking for something that is lost, or needing a door opened, or just want to ask our Lord for something, remember MATTHEW 7:7!

And...THANK YOU for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

'MOVIN'.... SLOW

I slept in this morning.  Have nothing to do for a bit.  Nice to take a breather.

I noticed that EVERYTHING, is moving slowly this morning, from the brewing coffee pot to the computer to my fingers on the key board.

I suppose it's a good time to just take it easy and try to make "the morning last"(another great song from the past).

In case you don't remember...or you're too young, here's Simon and Garfunkel - 'FEELIN' GROOVY  (1967)

Be sure to skip the ad and watch the video to the end...Simon & Garfunkel are joined by....(?)

Ok, enough of all that, one of our GREAT WATER MULES, Joe Prussel (along with his daughter Sage) and I are working on a new Power Point for the Air Mobile Rescuer.  I guess I'll have to get back to work.

Joe and I have worked all over the earth bringing clean water to thirsty people!!

I PRAISE GOD for sending folks like the Prussel's who have been INCREDIBLE volunteers over the years!!

The wonder and blessing of having a "remote" office...virtually anywhere on the planet.

But....it was nice sleeping-in a bit and simply enjoying that cup of coffee while listening to Simon and Garfunel.

Have several meetings with some dear friends up here in the Mountains of East Tennessee later today and tomorrow.

So, on this "easy going" morning, God bless you and THANKS for your faithful prayer. love and support!!

CARAVAN....DELIVERED!

The Avionics repair was done and it was time to get this wonderful tool, the RAM Caravan, back to it's home base in Knoxville, TN.

Before John Kater and I crawled in the spacious cockpit I had the honor to present John with his very own Air Mobile Rescuer hat!

John has certainly proven himself as an extremely capable Air Mobile Water Mule!

CONGRATULATIONS JOHN!!

Our biggest concern on this flight was ICE!  Again, our Lord made a way at the right altitude, with a temperature just above freezing.

BTW, John wears that hat well!!  John is an incredible pilot and has a heart to serve and help others in need!

Our route to Knoxville took us right over the lovely Blue Ridge Mountains.

We landed Knoxville Downtown Airport right on time and just before....the field went "hard IFR" approaching minimums.  Again, our Lord made a way!!

Here are a few thoughts after landing in Knoxville -

I can't THANK Remote Area Medical (RAM) enough for loaning us the incredible Cessna Grand Caravan and John Kater for this critical mission of delivering vital supplies to Haiti during very dark times.

After securing the Caravan, I drove to the Air Mobile TN "Retreat Cabin".  I love the cabin.

Will be working on a few projects up here.  Have had a deluge of rain and making sure there was no damage.

THANK YOU, as always, for your invaluable and vital prayer, love and support!!!

"ON THE WAY....."

John Kater and I are heading back to Knoxville in the RAM (Remote Area Medical) Caravan.

Yesterday morning, had to make a stop in Sanford, FL to have some Avionics work done on the Caravan.

It was also a good plan to allow a "wicked" line of storms to pass.

No need to "wrestle" with bad weather!!

Thus, a perfect opportunity to quote a famous Aviation Line....

"If you have time to spare, go by air".

So, now we're awaiting a replacement Gyro for the Caravan to arrive.  Then, hopefully, later today, we'll be in the air headed to Knoxville, TN, the home base for the Caravan.

Can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate you "rambling" down this road of life with me.  Your invaluable prayer, love and support are vital.  God bless you!!!

CARAVAN DELIVERY....DELAYED

Due to a mechanical problem in another aircraft, the flight of the Caravan back to Knoxville has been delayed...just a bit.  We'll try again today.

We're also tracking a fast-moving line of storms heading our way.  Time is not our friend.

However, have learned over the years to not "mess with the weather"!

Delays can be frustrating, however....looking back over the years, I've found that many delays have actually been blessings!

Oh, I could tell you many stories, but not this morning.

So, this morning we flight plan, look at all the factors, PRAY for guidance and then DECIDE as to whether to fly or not to fly.

THANK YOU, as always, for your precious prayer, love and support!!!

CARAVAN DELIVERY....

Today, if all goes as planned, will be flying the RAM Cessna Caravan back to Knoxville, TN where it is based.

It's been good having this "Big Bird" sitting on our ramp, but "all good things must end some day"...(mmm,  sounds like a song...Chad & Jeremy 1964).

A special THANKS again to Remote Area Medical  (RAM) for loaning us this great aircraft to make the critical food / supply run to Haiti during the recent riots!!

Our quest to get the Little Donkey back in the air moves forward.  It was time to change out the rear engine.

We're working on getting a replacement engine (and a whole back-up aircraft).  We're currently chasing some "Gremlins" and hope to have the problem resolved soon.

In the meantime, I'm especially THANKFUL to our friends, like RAM, for loaning us aircraft when we need them!!

"Surely, our Lord knows how to deploy his Troops & Assets"!!

As I say every single day, and mean with all of my heart, THANK YOU for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!

QUIET MONDAY...

Enjoying the peace and quiet....for the moment. Just glad to be home and tending to business.  No major disasters or urgent need to fly somewhere.  I'm thankful.

Will likely be re-positioning the Remote Area Medical (RAM) Cessna Grand Caravan from Titusville back to Knoxville tomorrow.

I so appreciate RAM allowing Air Mobile to make a critical food flight into Haiti last week.

GOD BLESS YOU, RAM!!

Haiti is still being plagued with sporadic protests and road blockages, but nothing like last week.  We PRAY for peace to prevail!

So, on this quiet, lovely Florida morning, I'm rejoicing in the goodness of our Lord.  THANK YOU, as always, for your faithful prayer, love and support!!!!
