ISAIAS NOW TROPICAL STORM....SOME THOUGHTS ON COVID-19

It is with a sigh of relief that ISAIAS is now a Tropical Storm.  

It'll still bring in a lot of rain and wind, but we're THANKFUL for the downgrade.  

Cindy returned to the Hospital in Hazard, Kentucky yesterday.

The COVID-19 cases at the Hospital are increasing daily.  WE PRAY!!!

There are a lot of OPINIONS out there regarding COVID-19.  Some say..."it's no big deal".  Others say that "this is the end of the world".  Somewhere, in between is the TRUTH.

As for me and my house, if we err on any side, may we err on the SAFE SIDE!  Yes, we wear a mask.  Yes, we avoid large crowds.  Yes, we wash up diligently.  

I'm reminded of ROMANS 8:28.  It just may be that this EXTREME AWARENESS of a deadly virus may help us all in the future to be more careful.  

It just may be that the "normal" death toll from the flu just may DECREASE because we're all so "painfully" aware of how rapidly a deadly virus can travel.

We don't know when or how this deadly pandemic will end but....WE DO KNOW WHO DOES!!

As for me and my house, we're holding tightly onto Jesus' Hand.  May HE lead us and guide us each and every day.

My simple advise is....err on the SAFE SIDE and PREPARE for what might lie ahead.  

Above all.....may we KEEP

OUR EYES FIXED ON JESUS! 

Meanwhile, back at the "Retreat Cabin", got a little help from my good neighbor, Don.  

 

He has a larger tractor and a "bucket" on the front.  Makes moving dirt so much easier.  THANK YOU, DON!!

So, today, in lieu of going to Church, we'll be watching our Florida Pastor, Gary, deliver the message today on-line.

CINDY IS....NEGATIVE!  PRAISE GOD!!

Yesterday afternoon, we heard back from the Results of the COVID-19 TEST for Cindy and...we're so THANKFUL that it came back NEGATIVE!  

Her "Travel Nurse" assignment in Hazard, Kentucky is coming to a close.  I'm so proud of Cindy's heart and skill to serve others who are suffering.

In the meantime, we're TRACKING HURRICANE ISAIAS!  

South Florida is beginning to experience tropical storm winds as I type. 

The Northern Bahama Islands are in the middle of the Hurricane right now.  

WE PRAY for all in the path of this....9th Named Storm and 2nd Hurricane of the Season.

We'll be reaching out to our many friends in the Bahamas to see how they Have fared.  

If need be, we can make flights into the Bahamas to bring aid if it is needed.  AIR MOBILE IS STANDING BY...READY TO HELP!!

This is shaping up to be a very BUSY SEASON.  Again, it's always a good idea to be PREPARED!!!

And, while tracking Hurricane Isaias, we've been harvesting tomatoes!!

Well, Cindy and Ari got right on it and peeled them and boiled them.

Then, they went to our "Spice Garden" and picked fresh Basil, Oregano & Rosemary to season the "Sauce".  

After several hours of hard work, VOILA!!  5 QUARTS of fresh delicious Tomato Sauce!!

This morning, Cindy will be heading back to the Hospital in Hazard, KY.

HURRICANE ISAIAS STRENGTHENS!!!

Looks like now, Hurricane Isaias may become a Cat 2 Hurricane and is aiming straight for the Bahamas and then the East Coast of the U.S.

The "warm water" is enabling Isaias to STRENGTHEN!

HERE COMES "ISAIAS"

Well, this "Hurricane Season" is definitely heating up.  

Looks like the 9th "Named Storm", ISAIAS is heading to the Bahamas, Florida and dragging up the U.S. East Coast.

The name is hard to pronounce....
this might help.

This storm is already "pummeling" Puerto Rico.  The main power grid has failed and major flooding is expected.

Don't know what the 2020 Hurricane Season holds, but....signs are everywhere that the region is extremely volatile and it's just a matter of time before a MAJOR HURRICANE HITS!

AWAITING TEST RESULTS....

Yesterday, Cindy was tested for COVID-19.  Several nurses on her unit have tested positive.  It will take several days to get the results (ugh).  We wait with FAITH!

At this time, Cindy is showing no signs and for that we're THANKFUL.  PLEASE continue to PRAY...the results are in HIS HANDS!!

Yesterday, my good friend and Brother-in-Christ, Mark Scarborough came over for some Air Mobile Rescuer water purifier training.

His Sister, Joyce, came along for the training also.  

Mark goes to Africa regularly and the Rescuers will be a great BLESSING to those whom Mark ministers with.

I'm pleased to say that now, Mark is a "Certified Water Mule" and can bring CLEAN WATER to the THIRSTY IN JESUS NAME!!

Yesterday evening, I needed to make a run to Walmart (42 miles away from the Retreat Cabin).  

When stepping out of the store, I was just blown away by this beautiful sunset.  Thought I'd share it with you.

You know, even though there is chaos and so much uncertainty here in America and around the world, it's good to take a look around and capture the beauty.

Was up early this morning, listening to the Word of God.  

Have been in the Book of Revelation.  I am pleased to report, in the end, WE WIN!

JESUS IS LORD!!!

May I encourage you to take a look around and see the beauty and wonder that is all around us.  Keep your eyes fixed on JESUS and let the Word of God flow into your heart.

Our Lord has us here on this earth NOW, FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!!

PLEASE PRAY FOR CINDY....

One of the Nurses who works with Cindy at the Hospital in Hazard has tested Positive for COVID-19.  

Now, all of the staff, including Cindy, who have been in contact with this nurse, must be tested today.  

On this rainy morning, in Tennessee, Cindy is driving back to Hazard, KY for her COVID-19 test and her series of shifts at the Hospital.

PLEASE PRAY FOR CINDY.  The Results are IN HIS HANDS!

Yesterday, Ariana took her first Horse-Back riding lesson.  She did great!!

One day, we hope to have a couple of horses here at the Retreat Cabin.

Now, we're awaiting the results of the COVID-19 TEST for Cindy.  We PRAY for our Lord's PROTECTION for Cindy as she serves others who are sick.

Cindy and I took a walk in the garden yesterday evening. 

We're just so THANKFUL for this "Retreat Cabin".  

GOD IS GOOD....

With the turbulence going on throughout the world, may we encourage you to look around and begin counting your blessings.

You'll find that there are plenty.  This, in and of itself, will relieve a lot of the anxiety that has gripped the world.

CINDY "DIGS" POTATOES & SO DO I!

We've been waiting for the right time to move the hay & collect the potatoes.  Didn't even have to "dig" for them. 

They were just lying there to be picked up.  LOVE THE VICTORY GARDEN!!

And, just can't get over the "Harvest" that keeps on producing out of the Victory Garden.

Take a look at what we harvested yesterday.  And note the free "Air Show" provided by the "hummers".

Ariana Sunshine carrying in the Sunflowers.  Life is good here at the "Retreat Cabin".  So glad we planted those seeds!!

So, on this "Smokey" morning in the "Smokey Mountains" of East Tennessee, we're simply REJOICING in the GOODNESS OF OUR LORD!!

 A REAL "GULLY WASHER"

Had powerful storm roar through the valley yesterday.  We needed the rain, but did it leave a deep "impression" on our drive to the cabin.

Cindy will coming up the drive in a few hours and I needed to get to work to smooth it out and make the "Grade".  

So thankful for that 45 year old tractor.  It runs like a top!

After about an hour, the drive smoothed out and I was able to "push the dirt" back into the ruts.

Need to learn more about "water management" and how to keep the flow "off" the road.

Sure am excited about having Cindy with us for a few days in-between her Shifts at the Hospital in Hazard, KY.  Cindy is a brave girl and a great Nurse! So proud of her!!

And, just a few moments ago, Tropical Storm Hannah became Hurricane Hannah and is headed for Corpus Christie, Texas.  

BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES!

FOCUS....ON JESUS!!

As I navigate through this day, there are so many directions I can go.  

Then, the thought comes to me....FOCUS ON JESUS!

What a simple and beautiful thing to do.  Things become more clear and direction comes with the clarity.

Whether I'm on the old Massey Ferguson tractor, or planting new seeds for the fall garden, or ordering components for water purifiers,  I need HIS direction and guidance.

With that focus comes PEACE.  Oh Folks, there are so many troubling things going on in this old world.  

COVID-19 seemingly blowing out of control, a very turbulent election coming up in America, violence in the streets, storms coming and the list goes on.   It's easy to become anxious and fearful.  That's the time to FOCUS ON JESUS!!

As I'm in the field, just breathing the Name of Jesus brings peace to my heart.

I don't know where you are today. However, I can say with absolute confidence, if you FOCUS ON JESUS, your day will go better.

SUNFLOWERS & "SALSA"!!

After the storm blew over a number of our lovely Sunflowers, it was time to just pick some and enjoy their "sunshine beauty".

Also glad that we planted "Heirloom" seeds.  Now, we can dry out some of those squash seeds  and replant again.    Our Lord just GIVES & GIVES & GIVES!

Cindy planned yesterday as...."SALSA" DAY! No...not the dance, the dip!! 

She blended our tomatoes with our jalepeno peppers, onions, garlic and other spices to make the most DELICIOUS 'SALSA' we've ever had.  GO VICTORY GARDEN!!!

This morning, Cindy heads back to Hazard, Kentucky to the Hospital for another series of shifts. 

Though I know that our Lord is using Cindy in a mighty way to help those who are suffering....will sure be glad when the 13-week "Travel Nurse" assignment is over.

PLEASE remember to PRAY for Cindy as she ministers with the sick and that our Lord protects her from the many diseases that she is dealing with.  

So, it's time to head back to the garden and plant some of those "Heirloom" seeds for our fall garden.

A WICKED STORM & AN UNEXPECTED GIFT!!

Sorry about the delay in posting the blog today.  Have had some internet challenges due to a wicked storm that blew through here last night.

Here's a look and there's more to come.

Then, we discovered an unexpected gift.  

Here's how we "DISCOVERED" it.  All I can say is....GOD IS GOOD!!

And, we're untangling the Internet mess and service is being restored as I type.

Looks like the "Active Hurricane Season" is pushing out the 7th named Storm, Gonzalo.  

It's still far away, but we're keeping a close on it.  Could do some damage.

THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING!

Was a bit overwhelmed this morning, as I walked through the Victory Garden and just kept filling up my basket with tomatoes and zucchini.

There's something wonderful in this Tennessee soil.  Take a look at the size of this zucchini!  

Usually, when they get that big they're tough and not that tasty.  Well, these are tender and delicious!!

We're so THANKFUL to have planted those seeds several months ago.  We have enough food for our family and for our friends and neighbors and for those in need.

PRAISE GOD!!
  

Folks, let me share something here.  The Bible says that there will come a time when we can't buy or sell unless we have the "Mark".  You can find out all of the details in Revelation 13-14.  

Well, by growing our own food, we can become less dependent on going to the store.  

It also gives us the ability to Barter.  I'll trade some of my tomatoes for your corn...or whatever.

I know that there are some reading this rambling blog that just don't have the place or resources for a garden.  Trust in the Lord and He will give you His Wisdom and Guidance.

But, for those who can plant a garden, we encourage you to do so.  You'll be glad you did.  

COVID-19 is still ravaging the world in so many ways.  We may begin seeing more and more shortages.  This is a good time to STOCK UP!

And looks like another storm is brewing and heading to the Gulf of Mexico.  It could become our 7th Named Storm if it develops.

We're in for a busy Hurricane Season.  All the more reason to PREPARE!!

I know that I often speak about PREPARING!  The main reason is that over the years, we have seen and gone to so many disasters.  It's not a matter of IF, but WHEN DISASTER WILL STRIKE!

Today, Cindy is coming home for a few days between here Hospital shifts in Hazard, Kentucky.  I'm so proud of Cindy for serving others who are in pain and suffering.

Time to head back to the garden and prepare the soil for our fall garden.

WHAT ABOUT AIR MOBILE??
I've been asked..."Well Joe, are you retiring to the Mountains of East Tennessee?".  No way!

We've got a lovely Air Mobile Office located in a tiny cabin next to our main cabin.

From here, we can launch missions and with the help of a strong internet, we can deploy personnel and equipment.

There are many Commercial flights from Tennessee to Orlando and they're quite cheap!  Just flew Peter back to Florida (1 hour flight) for $77.00!

It's also important to stay current, so have an X-Plane Flight Simulator set up in our new Air Mobile office.

Meanwhile, we're keeping our 3 hangars located at Space Coast Regional Airport.  The "Little Donkey" is in first-class shape with that fresh rear-engine.  

Paul, our Mechanic keeps all maintenance up-to-date so that the Little Donkey is ready to go on short notice.

Yahn Gray, our "Chief Water Mule" is busy building Air Mobile Rescuers in advance of the "next disaster".

In that way, we're ready for RAPID deployment when clean water is threatened!

In addition to Air Mobile, Cindy and and I have embarked on a "life-style" change by learning how to be self-sufficient (but totally relying on our Lord Jesus) in the mountains of East Tennessee.

We're learning so much about raising crops to eat and producing our own electricity and having a good source of well water  and so much more!

Our PRAYER, is that you, who wander down this road of life with us, may be encouraged and even given some good ideas about PREPPING & SURVIVAL during hard times.

WHEN WILL IT END???

Just checking the COVID-19 reports this morning indicate that this terrible virus is far from over.

How has it disrupted your life?  It hits a lot of folks in a lot of ways.

Apart from the "News", we can only speak for ourselves.  There are so many "slants" and "political biases" in the "News", it's difficult to discern what is the TRUTH!! 

Cindy and I are PREPARING for it in the long term.  Looking ahead and strengthening our supply of food, clean water,  electricity, medications etc. etc.

We're already planning our "Fall Crops".  We've "canned" (Mason Jars) a LOT of food for the future and we'll continue to do so as we're able.

We are THANKFUL that we can still go to Walmart, for example, and get our basic supplies, though there are still shortages here and there.

Above all, we're seeking our Lord's WISDOM for direction every day!

Air Mobile Ministries is alive and well and in position for the next "DISASTER".  

The 2020 Hurricane Season is still quite active already with 6 named storms, though none of them has done any serious damage.  For that we're THANKFUL.

SUNRISE...IN THE VICTORY GARDEN

One of the great joys in life is HARVEST TIME!  Here in the Victory Garden, we've got "extended" harvest periods.  

Today, with this beautiful sunrise, we're harvesting tomatoes and squash.  Mmmmm!

Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Onions & Garlic are next.

We're already planting our fall crop where the summer crop was. 

We're so blessed to have had such productive crops for our first garden here in Tennessee.

GOD IS GOOD!!

Yesterday, Peter flew from Knoxville to Orlando.  Had a perfect flight and we're standing on Psalm 91 for Peter's health!!

We've been blessed to have Cindy here at the cabin for the last few days...between her Nurse Shifts in Hazard, Kentucky.

Today, she heads back to the Hospital for another series of shifts.  

PLEASE PRAY for her protection while she serves others who are suffering.

We're so PROUD of Cindy as she ministers to the sick.  

Time to head back to the garden and work on chores here at the "Retreat Cabin".

BON VOYAGE PETER....

It has been a pleasure having our son, Peter with us for this move.  

Not only is he tall (6'3"), he's strong and has a heart to serve.  Been a GREAT HELP!

Time for Peter to return to Florida and we found a very cheap ticket to fly him from Knoxville to Orlando ($77!).

His flight leaves quite early, so we're on the road to Knoxville at 4:15 am. 

PLEASE PRAY for PETER as he boards the flight this morning.  May he completely protected from COVID-19!  

We stand on Psalm 91!!

SETTLING IN....

Now that we've gotten nearly all of our Florida possessions up in Tennessee, it's time to just slowly "absorb". 

So THANKFUL for an old Tobacco barn!!

And, the Little Donkey will remain  based in Titusville.  

Since most of our International Flights are in the Caribbean and Central and South America, it's best to LAUNCH out of Space Coast Regional Airport.

So THANKFUL that "Sweet Bird" is all ready to GO!!

We'll continue to build the Air Mobile Rescuer water purifiers in Titusville.  We have a good system in-place and there's no need to move it at this time.

Even though....at the moment....the Tropics are quiet, we well know how QUICKLY things can change.

So, we're building up an inventory of these "life saving" water purifiers in ADVANCE so we can deploy RAPIDLY when called upon.

So, on this beautiful day in the Mountains of East Tennessee, life goes on with awesome BLESSINGS from our Lord Jesus!!

UNEXPECTED HELP!!!

Yesterday, after a grueling 15 hour drive and a heavy load, had to cut and move a fallen tree due to big U-Haul truck.  It was blocking our drive and had to be removed.

Peter and I knew it was going to be a long and difficult day unloading that truck.

Then....up the drive came a couple of cars and willing hands to help 'lift the HEAVY load'!

My good friend and Brother in Christ, Rich showed up with a crew and all I can say is WOW!!!

Just another amazing example of our Lord "Deploying His Troops" to those in need.

Again, THANK YOU RICH & COMPANY!!!!

Folks, I just can't get over how many our times our Lord has "bailed me out"!!

GOD IS GOOD....ALL THE TIME!!

BTW, Honey and her 4 beautiful Pups are doing great!  Oh...are they cute!!

FROM FLORIDA TO TENNESSEE....FULL LOAD!

With a lot of help from our friends and neighbors, we got the 26' U-Haul truck fully loaded.

Peter and Benjie & I hit the road for Tennessee  yesterday just after noon.

Peter sure is tall!! 

I drove the truck and Peter, the Ford Escape.

Benjie is a great traveling companion.

It was a long drive (15+ hours) and the truck carried the load beautifully right to the "Retreat Cabin" in the Mountains of East Tennessee! 

We rolled up to the cabin at 3:00 am.

PRAISE GOD!!

Now, we have to unload the stuff to the barn.

So THANKFUL to have made this journey safe and sound.

Oh, when we pulled up the cabin, Cindy greeted us with the news that our sweet Yorky (Honey) was giving birth to 4 beautiful puppies.

BTW, Benjie is the Daddy.  Going to be very, very cute puppies (Yorky + Maltese = "MORKIES"!! 

 Mother and Babies are all doing just fine.

Time to head to barn and begin the task of unloading the truck.

HAVE YOUR WAY....DEAR LORD!

I find myself PRAYING that simple PRAYER. COVID-19 is still raging!

You know, in addition to PRAYING for our Leaders to have wisdom for guidance, we ourselves need God's wisdom in our own lives where we are, to lead us each step of the way.

We're standing on Psalm 91...."Dwelling in the shadow of the Almighty"!  

There are certainly "HOT-SPOTS" everywhere and spots that are not so hot.  None the less, taking good precautionary steps is the way to go.

We also believe that as a result of COVID-19, we're all learning to practice better hygiene and awareness.  In the long run, this will save many lives!!

Well, it's time to break down my desk and pack up the office and hit the road for Tennessee where Cindy and Ari are awaiting Peter and I along with Little Benjie.

The U-Haul truck is loaded to the brim and we'll be making the 12+ trip back to Tennessee today.

PLEASE PRAY for us to have traveling mercy and a smooth ride all the way back to the Tennessee Retreat Cabin.

A LITTLE HELP (LOTTA!) FROM MY FRIENDS!

Peter and his friends, Mike & Nick have been great helpers "packing" up the house.  

But...when my friends and neighbors saw the daunting task at hand, they just had to jump in and help.

PRAISE GOD!!!

Moving, seems to be always be, a heavy thing to do.  I was just running out of energy and ideas when they showed up.  WOW!

Kind of reminds of the old "Barn Raisings", but this was clearing out & leaving the barn, so to speak, with a LOT of help from my friends.  Can't thank them enough!!

THANK YOU JIM & RUBY & BILLY & PATSY & PETER, NICK AND MIKE!!

Well, we've got a balance of work to be done today and they've agreed to come on over and help with the final wrap up.  Again....PRAISE GOD!!! 

I'm reminded of my very first Pastor's wise words to me many years ago when I was facing a "daunting" task.  He just smiled and said....

"Son, don't forget, God knows how to deploy His Troops!!"  

So true!  Over the years, our Lord has sent strategic help just in time, again and again and again.  

GOD IS GOOD...ALL THE TIME!!!

Well, time to get "packin" so.... "We can load up the truck and head to Tennessee".  

Kind of reminds me of an old song.....to all the "old timers" out there!!  LOL!

A PLEASANT EARLY MORNING FLIGHT....

Can't begin to tell you how much I love to fly!!  Yesterday, took the Little Donkey up for a couple to take off and landings to be sure that, when called upon...we're READY TO GO!

Both engines fired right up.  The recently overhauled rear-engine is running like a top!!

Thanks to Yahn Gray's ingenuity and persistence, we now have our "Go Pro" camera set up to chronicle our missions.

He put together a wonderful YouTube on this early morning Friday flight.  Great job, Yahn!!

Here it is:  A LOVELY FRIDAY MORNING FLIGHT IN THE "LITTLE DONKEY"

After the successful "Test Flights", met my son Peter and a couple of his friends to begin the long and exhausting process of 'PACKING UP' our Florida home.

Hopefully, we'll be able to fit it all into a 26' U-HAUL truck .

And....as a special bonus today, if all goes as planned, we'll have another Falcon 9 Launch this morning at 10:49 AM.  

Love to hear and feel the rumble of these great rockets shooting into space! 

Well, it's time to go pick up the U-HAUL TRUCK and continue the pack and load.

THE PEACE OF GOD....& PREPARING FOR THE "NEXT MISSION"

In the midst of the craziness that is sweeping America, JESUS PROMISES US PEACE, HIS PEACE!

As I read the headlines, it is difficult not to have some level of anxiety.  I go to God's Word for PEACE!

I love the whole 14th Chapter of John.

Jesus begins by telling us...."Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe God, believe also in Me...."

Jesus gave us John 14 just hours before He went to the Cross.  It was on the Cross that He gave us SALVATION!  What have we to fear??  JESUS PAID THE PRICE... IN FULL!

There, I just had to share that GOOD NEWS with you!!  FEAR NOT!!

So, this morning, I'll be taking the Little Donkey up, just to be sure that this sweet bird will be READY when called upon.

We currently have Tropical Storm Fay headed to New York City, but it is not expected to do much damage.  

It does, however, tell us that we are in "HURRICANE SEASON" and we'd best be PREPARED!!

After the Test Flight, I'll be PACKING UP our Florida home and on Sunday, heading back to Tennessee to join Cindy and Ari!  YEA!!

So, as we go forth into this day, may we open our hearts to receive HIS PEACE!

12 HOURS LATER....

Even though it's a rather long drive, it is quite pleasant & beautiful between the Mountains of East Tennessee and "Sunny" Florida.  

So THANKFUL for no delays or accidents!

I did get behind a "Car Carrier" and the driver was all over the road.  Prayed for the driver and he seemed to stabilize.  PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!

I was joined by Benjie Bear who made the journey quite well with me.

He's a good little travel companion.

For the next few days, will be packing up our Florida home and then heading back to Tennessee.

While here in Florida, I'll be taking the Little Donkey up for some test flights to be sure it's "Ready for Action".

Meanwhile, as we observe the significant increase in COVID-19 cases, we're THANKFUL that the death toll is continuing to drop.

It's best to "stack the deck" in our favor by wearing a mask and having plenty of hand-sanitizer on hand.  No need to take needless or "silly" chances with this virus!

SUNSET HARVEST.....

Cindy had a few days off from the Hospital in Hazard, Kentucky.  So good to have her here for our sunset harvest.  

She did such an incredible job of planning and laying out our VICTORY GARDEN.  She is indeed my Proverb 31 "Lady of God"!

You, who ramble down this road of life with us probably recall when this was just a plot of grass.

We're just blown away by how fruitful this Victory Garden is.  And...we've just begun.

As soon as we finish our harvest, we have beautiful soil to plant our next crop.

We're almost ready to start harvesting the tomatoes & potatoes & pole beans.

I know I've encouraged you to consider putting in a garden (small or large).  

This gives us the ability to provide our own healthful food at a tiny cost (seeds & a lot of wonderful labor).

We don't know what challenges lie ahead.  But, we do know Who does!  We're holding tightly onto His Hand.

Later today, I'll be heading back to Florida.  It's time to "Pack" up our home there. We're THANKFUL to have a signed contract and....we're selling it to our dear friends Jim and Ruby Logan.

JESUS IN PERILOUS TIMES....

Our Lord Jesus told us that there'd be times like this...."In this world, you will have TROUBLE, but be of GOOD CHEER....I have overcome the world"

Folks, I believe that harder times are coming.



It is a good time to "Brace Yourself" and stay CLOSE TO JESUS!

Jesus tells us that  TROUBLE (TRIBULATION)  lies ahead, but.... IN JESUS THERE IS PEACE!

With the increase in COVID-19 cases, much due to the increased testing, things are beginning to SHUT DOWN again.  

We're very THANKFUL that the DEATH TOLL IS DECREASING!!  This is much to do with knowing how to better treat the virus.

Right at this time, many ESSENTIAL services are open and relatively well-stocked.  Stores like Walmart and Supermarkets are still open.  

It is an excellent time to stock-up...especially on toilet paper (that's a bit of a joke).

Cindy and I PRAY for things to get better, not worse. However, we have seen how quickly things can change...for the worse. 

Again, all the more reason to STAY CLOSE TO JESUS!!!

CRAZY TIMES....

COVID-19 has definitely affected us all (around the whole globe!!).  Just how serious is this?  Not sure.

Just saw this insane "Street Party" in LONDON.  Pretty "RISKY" stuff. 

The fact is...WE DON'T KNOW the DANGER! 

However....rest assured, we've got our masks, plenty of hand-sanitizer, have a good PREP SUPPLY and we're avoiding large crowds.

There, that's our thoughts on the matter.  Again, if we err on any side, may we err on the SAFE SIDE!

And above all, may we increase and strengthen our PRAYER SIDE!!

In the meantime, we're getting ready for the next major disaster.  

Yahn, our Chief Water Mule is gathering up parts and building Air Mobile Rescuers as our funds allow.  

We want to be READY for whatever may lie ahead.

The Little Donkey is READY TO FLY!  

PRAISE GOD!!

So....on this beautiful Monday, I'm in the garden weeding and catching bugs.

WEEDING.....NOT SO BAD

When Cindy and I laid the "foundation" for our Victory Garden, we put down a lot of cardboard and paper to greatly "reduce" weeding.  However....weeds still find a way in.

So...part of the garden process is "weeding".  But, the weeds, when put to good use (a compost pile), become part of what makes good soil.

Hmmm, there has to be a lesson somewhere here.  I guess, in a sense, we're all "weeds" until Jesus comes into our life and CHANGES EVERYTHING.  

Well, I got up early this Sunday morning and had that first cup of coffee and started weeding and got so into it...we're late for church. Gotta run!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

244 Years ago, the Great Experiment began and today, it is still alive!

PRAISE GOD!!

Cindy and I are proud to be Americans and are so THANKFUL for this great nation!!

Now, as never before, we must stand up and PRAY for God to continue to BLESS AMERICA!!

We hope and pray that you are BLESSED wherever you are.  STAY SAFE!!  

Have had a couple of folks ask me....how do you keep the "critters" out of your beautiful Victory Garden? Have a couple tricks.  Here they are.

The first one is an "Orbit Yard Enforcer".  It's a very cool motion activated sprinkler that simply chases the "intruders" out of the garden.  Don't have to kill-em, just startle them and they run away.

Here's how it work....

Now, the other one, I was a bit skeptical over, but it too works...if you work it.  Identify the leaves that the bugs love.  In our case, it is the pole bean leaves.  

Get a glass jar with a lid.  Sneak up to the bug and just flick the leaf and they just fall right in.  I've "captured" over a hundred and counting. 

And, the good news is, the bugs only like the pole bean leaves. The tomatoes and the other vegetables are not on the bug's menu.

Now, there are so many wonderful lessons here.  Jesus gives us the parable of the "Sower & the Seeds".  

Good idea to put GOOD SEED INTO GOOD SOIL.


Folks the best soil is the Word of God!  Every day, we're planting seeds.  May we strengthen our Soil with God's Word.

When the enemy comes to "steal the seed", may we chase him out with the Word of God.

HARVEST TIME....

One of the sweetest moments in the "VICTORY GARDEN" is HARVESTING!

This morning, in a 5'X5' section of the garden were the Beets.  

And are they beautiful!  It was time to harvest them.

One of them is the size of a baseball! 

Even the beet tops are delicious & and very nutritious!!

We all know how good beets are for us (you've probably heard the "Super Beets" commercials) and the many benefits of "Nitric Oxide".  

Well, we have a lot of good nourishment and health and even enough to share.  PRAISE GOD!!

Again, please forgive me for going on and on about the "VICTORY GARDEN", but there are so many lessons and demonstrations of GOD'S BOUNTIFUL GOODNESS TO US!  

Just had to share this "Harvest" moment with you.  Can't begin to tell you what JOY this sweet "VICTORY GARDEN" has brought to me and Cindy.  GOD IS GOOD!!!!

WHAT A DEAL....

Sitting in the Victory Garden yesterday evening, had some thoughts about "planting seeds".

I never cease to marvel at HOW GOOD OUR LORD IS TO US!!

Just putting a tiny seed into "good soil" can yield so much!!

Even if you're on a limited fixed income, this deal is almost too good to be true.  Yes, I believe we are coming into some very difficult days.  

COVID-19, whether real or not is causing GLOBAL WOES for BILLIONS OF PEOPLE.

Frankly, I don't know how much is real, very few of us do.  The bottom line is...WHAT CAN I DO / WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Again, my simple suggestion is.... consider PLANTING SOME SEEDS FOR FOOD.

Assess your situation and fill in the weak spots.  Maintain an extra supply of food, clean water, batteries, etc.  In other words...PREPARE!  

Not only will this be of great benefit, it will also give you some peace of mind during these difficult days.

And, I'd also like to add that Cindy and I have had a blast with this garden.  It has been so rewarding!!!

We PRAY that our Lord will intervene and give America another chance.  We pray that the "new normal" will not be too bad.  But....if not, at least we've done something.

These are just some of my rambling thoughts. Take them as you will.

WHAT TO BELIEVE???

There are so many conflicting reports coming out regarding COVID-19! Is it real?  Is it exaggerated?  What should I do?  

If I am asked, what do I believe?  My answer is..."IF YOU ERR ON ANY SIDE, ERR ON THE PREPARE SIDE!!

In that way, you are more PREPARED for what might come.  Folks, we are presently in the CALM BEFORE THE STORM! 

I urge you to be like the 5 Wise Virgins in Matthew 25.  They went out and bought extra oil for their lamps while the market was still open and prices were normal.  

As for me and my house, we don't want to be like the foolish virgins who assumed that the wait would not be too late.

OK, PLEASE forgive me for going on and on about the STORMS COMING.  

Who would have ever thought that things could change so RAPIDLY.  

MANY STORMS HAVE ALREADY HIT....violence in the streets, millions dead around the globe from COVID-19, economic collapse, millions unemployed, terrible fear and anger.

Our nation is under ATTACK from a deadly virus and extremely confusing and conflicting information.

Our nation is EXTREMELY DIVIDED!  It is true....A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF WILL FALL!

MAY OUR LORD BRING PEACE & UNITY TO AMERICA!!

Meanwhile, AIR MOBILE MINISTRIES IS ALIVE & WELL!  The Little Donkey is ready for action.  

A number of Air Mobile Rescuers have been built and ready for immediate deployment wherever needed.  

WE STAND READY TO GO!!

So, what am I going to do today?  Heading back to Walmart and continuing to stock up...while we can.

May I encourage you to do what you can, while you can, to get ready for what might lie ahead.
